"From Katy to Stafford to try out a newer spot. We were trying to figure out where to go but everyone opened at 4 that we were interested in going to and we needed a early lunch. Then we came across B Yvonnes in Stafford. It's located in a shopping strip and had plenty parking at this time. The have a inside area and patio. We were greeted by Tae. It was her 2nd day, but you couldn't tell. She was awesome. Chef Ron himself took our order and thoroughly explained the food options. He even gave samples of the Kool aid of the day which was awesome. So we had the catfish opelesues with shrimp...the catfish and shrimp basket..and these amazing eggrolls with turkey, Mac, and greens on the inside. All of the food was great, but the customer service took it over the top! Oh almost forgot about the peach cobbler...it was on point....ALL THE CRUST. So if in the area.. give them a try!!!"
"Had brunch here. Service was really good considering they were packed on a sunday with a 25-30 wait time on food. Everybody loves brunch. They weren't totally packed but pretty busy. The drinks were good. I had a laloma (a blood orange paloma) and a regular paloma, both were tasty. They did have flavored mimosas and flights which I didn't try. But it's offered. My friend had the expression martini and said that was also good. My friend had the chicken sandwich and said that was pretty good. I had the brisket plate and the beignets. Both were very good. I like how they have various menu items to try. I'll definitely go back to try more."

Stuffed Boudin Wings all washed down with brown sugar lemonade and finished with some homemade bread pudding. We even got gumbo to-go for dinner. Y'all... run here fast! Owner was super nice and said they are opening a BBQ Smokehouse next door. Can't wait!"
"After having kids, this review definitely gets a boost. Growing up cheddars was very affordable american food. I would go here on dates in high school and out with friends. Everyone could get full and not break the bank. Now as an adult with kids, this is a place where you can bring the family and the kids can find something they can eat while you can eat on solid food for a very reasonable price. Our favorite by far is the appetizer of the croissants. I believe each person gets one, we usually get an order for the table in addition since it's so damn addicting. As far as entrees, the kids usually will eat the chicken tenders and shrimp combo. The adults will either get the steak and ribs or ribs and shrimp combos. This is a massive amount of food, each combo comes with two sides. The ribs are always plentiful and enough to take home for lunch the next day. On our last visit the waiter was on point! He brought us everything quickly and was super pleasant."
"Micheaux's is special. A truly delightful soul food experience. The entire staff is always nice and friendly. I've had meals to go and dine in.My favorite dishes:Fried catfish is hands down some of the best I've ever had. It's always fried golden brown, well seasoned with their signature batter and they don't skimp on the portion size.Jalapeno cornbread is definitely extra delicious. I think they use red jalapenos in it which gives it a signature taste. It's always baked just right.Fried shrimp is delicious. They are always colossal in size and have excellent flavor. The only feedback I would suggest is finding a way to make the batter adhere to the shrimp better. Whenever I bite into one, the batter always separates from it. But it still gets eaten. Lol.The fried chicken is succulent, juicy, crunchy and crispy. I would really love to know their frying technique because I can't get fried chicken like that at home. Unique and delicious flavor.Blackened salmon is 10/10. Unbelievably flavorful all while holding in the juices to keep it moist. Excellent choice of seasonings and spices. Highly recommend.I've had other items such as the candied yams, mac n cheese, and greens which are also good. They also have a good selection of desserts! All in all, from the customer service, the delicious soul food and the fair pricing, this is a family owned business that is sure to please just about everyone who visits."
"We had an amazing time at ROCKHOUSE at a Cinco de 'Mayo celebration on our last night in Houston. Music was awesome and the appetizers were delicious. Awesome atmosphere and service!"
"Everything about this place was great!Food, service, atmosphere and priceFish was cook and seasoned very well. Chicken fried steak was tenderAll the food was served hot and in a timely manor."
"Saucy Nosh, I was very skeptical. I have yet to be disappointed at the Houston Grub Park. So I decided to try the place. This is Texas brisket always goes good with mac and cheese. Now think of it, a egg roll with brisket with mac & cheese deliciousness. When I ordered online I was pleasantly surprised, there it was a "Piggy & A Pillow Combo" 2 fried ribs, an egg roll and fries. The ribs were perfect, and egg roll was on point. I had never eaten fried ribs before, they were so good. I will be going back. She even offers curbside service. I wish I could give this food truck more than 5 stars."
"Awesome place to relax have a chill brunch or breakfast with girls or your guy. They have loads of games and music which sets this place apart from your normal boring breakfast. We played games while we waited on the food, it was a great time. Very pleasant servers and good food. Can't go wrong. #SupportLocal"
"Was told Taste + Kitchen Bar was very good from locals. It was absolutely a good time for sure! The hostess sat us down, downstairs with very good music and a nice bar. It was very private and intimate with a nice ambiance. The food and drinks were good! For my drink I ordered the popular patron watermelon margarita that was very tasty and I don't even like watermelon like that. For my food I ordered the smothered chicken with greens, yams, and rice. The food was def bomb with the perfect seasoning. I tried some of my friends Mac & Cheese and that was good too! I recommend to get this entree it fills you up most of the day. Our server was very sweet and amicable! She was very welcoming and continued to check if we needed anything. However, I did not quite care for the photos that they take since I'm sure they knew we weren't from there. They charge you for the photos and don't let you take it on your phone. They put it in a frame and Eve thing cute idea, but not everyone will be willing to pay. It is what it is though! Despite that situation, it was a wonderful time with great food and ambiance. I recommend here for brunch! It's a vibe I'll for sure come back visiting Houston! Parking is street parking that you have to scan and pay. -Marshay D."
"KATY, TX 77493 / AMERICAN / 05-29-23 / DINNER+The prices are very reasonable.+The staff was friendly.-One of the chicken tenders ended up having tons of cooked blood; please see the attached picture.-The Prime Dip sandwich was weak. It was thinly sliced pastrami with aus jois from a box.-The Spicy BLT left a lot to be desired."
"Great band. The decor has not changed since it was Skinny's. The bar service seems to be lacking service and liqour. However if appears to be a great neighborhood spot, if you want to get out the house and not travel a long distance this is the place for now."

I had to take a quick trip to Houston and found this awesome spot tucked into a corner of a shopping strip. As you walk up you are greeted with a cute outdoor patio to the left with lots of gorgeous plants and succulents. You place your order at the counter then they give you a number and bring you your order. I got the coffee and brisket tostada and nothing was disappointing! And the perk is that with a Yelp check-in I got a free order of their grit balls! The coffee was brewed to perfection, very smooth and no bitterness like it has been sitting. The tostada was lovely, lots of different textures from the beans, cheese, eggs. I do wish the brisket would have had a bit more fat and flavor but it was still good. The grit balls were delicious! Very unique, light and fluffy which was nice surprise, I was expecting something dense. The service was absolutely amazing. I was greeted, very well tended to, and never ran out of coffee or water. The service was so impressive, if all places gave that type of service the world would be a better place!

Southern comfort food at its finest, all you need is Cheddar's. Whether its those delicious buttery and crisp croissants, spinach dip, or a side of cheesy broccoli cheese casserole, you just can't go wrong at this place. Drinks are a must as well! They are served in Texas-sized cups, and are affordable to provide a good buzz that won't hurt your wallet. When you need a pick-me up after a long week of work, go for the Cheddar's Painkiller or the Maui Margarita. On multiple visits to this location, I've always had good service. However, it can be a swing or a mess at times. My go-to appetizer is the Santa-Fe Spinach Dip. It usually comes accompanied with some salsa as well. If you're a spinach fan, this is the plate for you. I'm practically, Popeye, so this is always a necessity. I've been fortunate to get complimentary croissants on my most recent visits. The croissants are delicious! Before ordering any, check-in and see if they will give you three to sample. On an attempt to stay try to stay healthy, (key-word here is "try"), I usually go for the Tilapia and Shrimp. My girlfriend recently ordered the grilled salmon. As mentioned above, my favorite thing about Cheddar's is the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. I literally daydream about this dish on random moments of the day. I can't get enough of it, and usually get two side orders with my meal. My girlfriend ordered a baked potato and red beans as her side. Most plates at Cheddar's come accompanied with 2 sides of your choice. Food was spectacular, and I'm always paying visits to this location.

Incredible soul food with helpful staff & service! Cafeteria style service but you can also order to go/takeout. Strip mall parking and it's not hard to find. I found food was good value also.Oxtail w rice, candied yams, mac n cheese - Oxtail braised so nicely it near fell off the bone. Generous amount of gravy also. Yams were a bit sweet in my opinion but still delicious. Mac n cheese was too soft for me but flavor was good. Their portions are generous, the amount of food I packed to go filled the box and it looked like I'd assembled another meal. About $30, yes it's more expensive but it's oxtail. Fried chicken, okra & tomato - Fried chicken is SOLID. They season the hell out of that batter. Not too greasy either, nice texture. Okra and tomato cooked properly and had good flavor. Cornbread was a good moisture, I prefer a sweeter cornbread but this was good still. About $25On top of that service was kind and felt homely. This is the kind of food you miss when you're out of state. Owners are the sweetest people & looks like this spot is popular for a good reason.

Best roadside stop ever! We happened upon this place on the way to see family. Food was excellent, service friendly, ambience interesting. I think we are headed back to get a whole pie. Still thinking about the amazing fresh baked pie smell. Large country fried steak was LARGE! Very crispy, well seasoned gravy and piping hot. The green beans and mashed potatoes were also well seasoned with great flavor. Mushroom burger was juicy, giant, and had great savory meaty flavor. Loaded high with mushrooms and meaty cheese, amazing. They kindly added lettuce and tomato for me, but it really didn't need it. Crinkle fries were crispy and hot. The things we didn't eat but could see were also very generous portions at reasonable prices. A one trip salad bar only $4.99 for whatever you can fit on your plate. Bar included some pasta and potato salad options and could really make a full meal. Catfish special of the day was gently fried fish with fries and another side plus a serving of chocolate pie. Lots of locals ordered that with no hesitation and I'd regret not ordering it too- but my burger was damn good. Ambience is fun- country kitchen themed with lots of signs and funny sayings. Original cook books on some country style hutches in the corner, wooden chairs and tables that are sturdy, and farmhouse staples like a butter churn decorated the dining room. Pie case was full of so many options. We should have gotten a pie to take with us. I'm going back for that pie. There was a dining room facing section of the kitchen where you could see the pie construction happening. I've never seen such a high, beautifully twisted meringue. Okay maybe we are going back for two pies...

Thankful Saucy Nosh took the time to come to my apartment complex!! We tried the chimichurri fries and the brownie cheesecake roll - both were very delicious. The reason for the 4/5 stars - the chimichurri "fries" didn't actually have many fries, mostly chicken and the sauce (still so tasty), and the price of the fries ($15, a little much). Still so glad we gave them a try!
Visit Restaurant Page"Meh. I definitely experienced better. This was sub par everything, except the fried okra. Flavor was off on the beans, mac and cheese bland af. BBQ bland and really not flavor full, more like oven baked, in my opinion. Sausage was so horrible sampling a couple of slices we threw the rest of the pound away, along with the beans and mac. I was so wanting to like this place, especially since there's a convenient drive-thru, but I pretty positive this place is on the no go back list."
"4.5/5 starsCame here on a Saturday around 6:30 pm. They do have a small parking lot, but we did street parking. The line looked short, but it moved slowly, so it took around 35-40 minutes to get our food. You order/receive the food at the counter, then you seat yourself. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. My bf and I got the 1 lb beef rib, 0.5 lb brisket, 0.5 lb pulled pork, 1 sausage, and 3 single sides (Mac and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw). This was wayyy more than enough for 2 people! We also got a slice of bread, which they didn't charge for. I have to say the beef rib and the mac and cheese blew my mind!!! These were my faves from the meal. The beef rib was incredibly tender, fatty, and juicy. The mac and cheese was perfectly smooth, gooey, and cheesy. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. We asked for moist brisket, so we got some very tender/fatty pieces. Some of the leaner brisket pieces were drier, but some were tender. The sausage was solid. Overall, I thought this place was worth the wait!"
"I came to lunch here with a friend recently. It was almost exactly in between both of our offices. We arrived a little after it opened and ordered a good spread to share. As far as meats got the brisket and sausage initially. Because they had just opened the ribs were not ready yet. Half way through the meal I went back up to the counter to order them as they were now ready. The brisket was dry, the sausage was mediocre (like store bought), the ribs was the best part. They came wet, I usually prefer a dry rub.As far as the sides we got the mac and cheese, potatoes, and brussel sprouts. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts were my fav the mac and cheese was meh."
"Ok, the main point of writing this review is to state that Sammy Jo is a boss. I stayed for about an hour on a Friday, and she single handedly worked the entire bar like a champ! Seriously, an underrated skill because this bar was bustling! Happy hour seems to be a hotspot for this place. This was my first time in, and I was surprised to learn that they offer tequila flights, and whiskey flight, but do not offer beer flights! This is surprising because this is certainly a beer joint. On the plus side they have a great selection of local brews (although not all on the menu were available), and the bartenders do a fantastic job at helping you make a selection. Also their shots menu is really unique...peanut butter pixie stick what?! Apart from the drink, I'll agree with a few of the reviews below- the food takes quite awhile, BUT if you have a minute, I recommend the pretzel & beer cheese *chefs kiss*. I'm sure it's meant to feed two or three, shared amongst friends, but this was the perfect size for a gluttonous me (love me some beer cheese)! While I personally cannot say I'm in love with the "come and take it" staff uniforms, all and all, I would recommend this place for a nice happy hour brew with the mindset that the food is a bonus."
"I love coming here on my lunchbreak (good coffee nearby). No lie, everything I've tried of hers has been absolutely yummy. Beef tips, meatloaf, ox tails, pork chop, chicken & dumplings....all good! I'm kinda picky about greens but I LOVE hers. AND she's super nice:)"
"The place was surprisingly empty for 9:30 on a Sunday morning. The staff was super friendly, and the food was tasty. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best in the area, and the green onion on them is a nice touch. The only slightly off putting part of my experience was the employees who seemed somewhat overwhelmed and/or inexperienced."
"Fellow yelper Derek Y. highly recommended we come here on our Houston trip in September. We planned to check out Galveston for one day so this place was on our route. Great recommendation!Short but sweet review is that this spot is delicious. Important things to note- if you're very hungry and need food sooner than later, order an appetizer. There is literally a sign on the door that asks for patience for food to be prepared. Our order did take a while and I kept seeing other tables get food, they ordered a first course before the main entree. I was just getting hangry lol. Once the food came it was so delicious. The sticky chicken meal is unbelievably good. The chicken is full of flavor and sticky glaze. Really tender and soft meat. Also very enjoyable was the fried catfish sandwich. The only thing I didn't really like was the fried okra. I had wished I ordered a different side. It was a bit dried out. Otherwise everything else was really great. Order a tea if you want to drink it our if the largest ball jar with refills. I drank so much iced tea haha."
"Went to Fat Boys for breakfast today. Its in porter near rusty buckle. The over medium eggs and omelet were very good cooked correctly. overall It was ok. The pancakes look a lot better than they were. Chewy/gummy. Fake, butter, fake, syrup, fake half and half. meh. but The people were friendly. Honey was real but from USA, Canada and Argentina, that was weird for me. Bacon and sausage were spot on. I would go back but may need to bring my own, maple syrup. No hashbrowns."
"Visited with a local relative that hadn't been here for some time. First time and I thought why haven't I been here yet?!We arrived on a Wednesday around 12:45 and we got lucky as there was a short line. Order, pay and find a table. They were providing Brisket samples which was a nice touch. I could have just stood there and ate the samples all day-wow!We ordered one meat and two meat combo plates. Both had Brisket and one with the Spicy Peppercorn sausage. Brisket was amazing! Perfect smoke and tender.I usually get Jalapeño Cheddar sausage but decided to go with the Peppercorn. Good decision-just right spicy/salty-delicious! Sides were Corn Pudding, Tater Tot Casserole, Brussel Sprouts, and Mac & Cheese. All delicious with the Corn and Sprouts standing out.Service was quick (kept the line moving) and friendly. On Bon Appetit's Top 8 Houston BBQ spots as well a few other lists. Definitely lives up to the hype!"
"The chicken here has been consistently good for years now* The okra is My favorite side and the rolls are like heaven when not over baked hot out the oven..The buffet is a great concept and offers a variety of items like mac and cheese, green beans, fruit, chicken pieces, tenders, fried fish and more but the only problem is at this location (I've only eaten the buffet at this location) the owner or whoever the lady is that manages this location waits until the pans are bottom dry before changing it out out You'll have to ask for chicken when it runs out which is ok bc it will be fresh but why is She policing the buffet so hard You'll see but it's worth the maybe $10 meal or less with a drink and the kids buffet is like $6They also have a spicy version but it needs improvement it's overcooked or battered wrong causing it to be dark and dryFish is sometimes good but the shrimp are best of the sea I wouldn't eat it as the fish is almost suspect Chicken and tenders are good when hot and fresh as well as the livers but I'll take some wings and okra and be happy Make sure You get an extra roll*"
"Our server Tia was phenomenal! We hadn't even sat down yet & she had already greeted us. Throughout our entire meal she was friendly & took care of everything we needed. We had just driven in from San Antonio & checked into our hotel. We told Tia my sister was graduating fr college the next morning. Before we left she came to the table with a dessert w Congrats written on the rim. She wasn't just an excellent server, she was a kind server who went above & beyond. I always take photos of our food but we had been so busy all morning/day/evening & had just driven in to Katy. So, I snapped some half eaten photos Everything we ordered was freshly cooked. It was all hot & delicious. We ordered the chicken pot pie, fried fish, Mommas breakfast, chicken tenders & a trio of appetizers. The mozzarella bites serving was tiny but they were really good. The dill pickle ranch that came w the fried pickles was so flavorful. It was so good that I want the recipe! My nieces best friend was in love with the Pot Pie. The chicken is chicken fried & then put inside the Pot Pie. She gave me a bite & you guys... it was scrumptious. This is a home cooked, mama's cookin' type of country restaurant. If you are opposed to country cooking... Get a salad. I have had a lot of salads in my life. When I come here I want their biscuits & slow cooked pot roast. (My mom had just made me pot roast for my bday on the 7th so I didn't order it but that's my favorite dinner here) I have never ordered anything here that wasn't good. When we go on family road trips across the US we look for Cracker Barrel's. Btw, the young man at the host stand was friendly also. All of the other staff was great. This was a wonderful dinner! Tia even saw me taking photos by the tree w my best friend since 4th grade (she lives in Katy & drove over to see us) and she offered to take photos for us. Total sweetheart. My sis is going to strangle me for posting the photo of her w Tia bc it is a BAD angle bc I was right next to my sis but I couldn't post without sharing a pic of Tia. If she is working, request her. You will not be disappointed bc she is amazing. Not just a 20% tip amazing.... She is far above that & I believe you should reward people for being amazing & working hard. Thank you so much Tia for ending our night w amazing service & your wonderful smile and personality! God bless you! Merry Christmas!(This review is almost a year old. My cell had died & I was waiting for photos fr my nieces. I forgot & they are gone. )"
"Yum! This is a great fast casual food option which isn't greasy. They have lots of options and ways to enjoy your chicken salad (sandwich, scoop, etc). I got my Fancy Nancy scoop on toasted wheat bread with a cup of potato soup. It also came with crackers, a pickle slice and a cute little pre-wrapped cookie. The service was friendly. And the restaurant and bathroom were very clean."
"I been trying to get here for a minute and then Keith Lee came and made the spot busier than ever. So I waited for it to calm down to make it that way. We went Sunday after church and we were the only ones there surprisingly. Our hostess was really nice but I didn't get her name. The side car was really strong. The fish and shrimp were soooo good. The Mac was good too. The greens were alright. The cornbread was awesome. My friend had the grits and shrimp. The shrimp was great..grits watery. Overall good experience"
"This place is located inside the Gulf Coast car dealership so it's a little tricky to find the first time you go. I believe they are open only for lunch, Monday through Friday. The food is excellent home style cooking. The main dishes vary from day to day throughout the week. There are always several selections of vegetable, side dishes. There are some sandwiches and some main courses. The desserts are amazing and Donna serves them up nice and big. Lots of people come here but it still seems like a bit of a secret. Do it!"
"I decided to grab a fish basket from the good people @ Soul Y Mex! While I was waiting for the freshly battered and fried fish to come up, that peach cobbler was whispering (take me with you) softly! So I responded and got it for dessert! to my soul! Whewwww it was amazing!!"
"This food truck is quite unique; starting with the names of the food. Everything that is offered is completely yummy! My fave is the "Man Hold Up" it's deliciously crispy fries smothered with tender oxtails, cheese, and a whole lotta of goodness! You cannot eat this serving alone you must share(even if you don't want to). You can top it off with an exotic pop (the purple one)... now on to dessert: the peach cobbler egg rolls are ingenious!! A fresh, hot peach cuddled in a warm flaky crust lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar! I don't know abt you but I need a second trip!"
"Each plate is made to order, a definite off the beaten path kind of place but the 2 pork chop dinner was served with a generous portion of okra (a slight up charge but great value) & a nice small salad to lighten the meal. The buffalo wings are excellent, also cooked to order.Plate dinners come with a choice of 2 side, a slice of bread & a drink is included. They have an oxtail special on Sunday's. I'll keep you posted when I bring an oxtail expert on my next visit."
"Great service from Matt and the chicken was nice and crispy ! Happy u I Got in my fried chicken fix and even some spicy beans. Place is nice and clean too"
"Celebrating a Friday with my husband at King Ranch Texas Kitchen on Post Oak. This restaurant has a cowboy down home Texas vibe. They have lots of tables and booths. They have a bar area and they also have covered outdoor seating. We went in for a late lunch which was perfect as the restaurant was not as crowded. We started off with a starter of "Brad's Crab Stack" which is Fresh Jumbo Lump Crab Salad, Avocado, Cilantro & Scallion Citrus Salad, Sriracha Aioli this was served with tortilla chips. This looked and tasted delicious!!We then had a house chopped salad. Followed by our main entrees which were the prime rib with sweet potato for husband and the fried shrimp with fries for me. All the food was delicious and cooked well. The service here was great. Lots of free parking available. And yes this is a Landry family restaurant. Go, enjoy and bring your appetite."
"As we walked in we were greeted and seated on a timely manner. So that was already a go! It's country and it's clean. Hubby and I came in on a Saturday afternoon to have lunch. We both ordered friend chicken with some sides like coleslaw and sweet potato fries. We both enjoyed and will come back again!"
"Service was fast, menu was highly appealing. Food was delicious, nothing more to say. Will definitely be ordering again in the future to support this business."
"Idk how I've gone this long without leaving Lucille's some love. I've patronized this business for atleast 3 years, and if it speaks to their consistency, I've yet to have a poor experience. I've enjoyed a few of their pop up events on the patio, the Prince patio take over being my favorite. From the cocktail to the fried green tomatoes, to the chicken and waffles, I've yet to experience an unsatisfying meal here. Things to know: *You have two parking options: street parking as available and valet *Casual dress is usually the vibe *If you arrive during peak hours expect a wait. Their waiting area is on the exterior patio.*Given the nature of the place, and true to its vibe, a few tables feel a bit cozy. This restaurant is a tribute to culinary legacy. Expect fine southern food (comforting and homey but take it up a notch), leave happy!"
