Tramaine B. "This review is based off of 2 visits in the last 1 week. One was during the week and the other on a Sunday morning! Both visits are service was fine; it was pretty standard. The food on our 1st visit was great! Everything was as we asked on the 1st try! However, our 2nd visit was not so much. Idk why people feel as if everyone like parsley and cilantro but I don't and Ive never had it randomly put on my eggs before. So they recooked my eggs which then came out runny. Bacon definitely under cooked. Had to pretty much send my whole plate back. My potatoes were not cooked completely and had to send them back not once but 4 times before they came out right. And I felt bad sending them back but I was very clear i wanted them completely cooked, actually I wanted them over cooked. Looking at the pictures; uou can see the difference. By the time they did come out we were done eating. Honestly the only things i enjoyed this 2nd trip was the juice and avocado. The other person was happy with all their food. Ill take this as a bad day.. idk!"

Marshay D. "Was told Taste + Kitchen Bar was very good from locals. It was absolutely a good time for sure! The hostess sat us down, downstairs with very good music and a nice bar. It was very private and intimate with a nice ambiance. The food and drinks were good! For my drink I ordered the popular patron watermelon margarita that was very tasty and I don't even like watermelon like that. For my food I ordered the smothered chicken with greens, yams, and rice. The food was def bomb with the perfect seasoning. I tried some of my friends Mac & Cheese and that was good too! I recommend to get this entree it fills you up most of the day. Our server was very sweet and amicable! She was very welcoming and continued to check if we needed anything. However, I did not quite care for the photos that they take since I'm sure they knew we weren't from there. They charge you for the photos and don't let you take it on your phone. They put it in a frame and Eve thing cute idea, but not everyone will be willing to pay. It is what it is though! Despite that situation, it was a wonderful time with great food and ambiance. I recommend here for brunch! It's a vibe I'll for sure come back visiting Houston! Parking is street parking that you have to scan and pay. -Marshay D."

There is parking in the front and side of the building. It's Halal! There is a huge illuminated menu on the wall and they have something for everyone! Breakfast is served until 4pm!We ordered breakfast foods: Cosmos bagel, French Toast, and an omelette! Great portions, reasonably priced, and the service was so nice! We also did gelato and a smoothie! I tried the Turkish coffee too. They have a patio and offer hookah. Definitely will return and there is another location off Almeda in the midtown area."

My sister dropped in and brought breakfast over and I was drooling over the fresh warm obviously homemade tortillas, fresh eggs and bacon that filled the tacos. I stopped in a couple times and it seems that the word got out because every time I come in, there's a line! Their breakst tacos seem to be super popular and the menu is sweet and simple. They also offer barbacoa if that's your type of breakfast and also offer a lunch menu (which ends at 2pm I believe and they close up). I'm happy to have found my breakfast taco home in Pearland :)"

This is a very good 3-star review... the "just okay" aspects were the food and the actual numbers/performances of each queen... although Adriana Larue was far more than just okay! For the others, it seemed more about just taking money. They lip synced but didn't dance or truly PERFORM. Adriana danced her ass off and was absolutely fabulous- a true entertainer. The outfits and makeup/hair on everyone were awesome! Mauricio and Blackberri were also a cut above like Adriana. They were so animated and hilarious. The food, while tasty enough, was definitely mediocre. Save your money for the cocktails. The service was great. Everyone was on top of everything and so so so friendly. It felt like visiting a friend's house, not a venue. All in all we had a really great time and will definitely be back for other shows!"

The inside dining area is quaint & I liked the covered patio. There's a few fans out there for when it gets really hot. I went for the combo & got the Spicy Daddy sandwhich. Also grabbed a side of the chive dipping sauce to test it out. It was a to-go order and I had a bit of a drive back to the office. The sandwhich & fries were still piping hot by the time I got in. My coworkers were like what's that bc they could smell the food LOLThe Spicy Daddy was definitely spicy, but it had good flavoring. And by that I mean seasonings like garlic, paprika & others. NOT an overload of salt and/or cayenne. The bun was buttery & toasted. I liked their fries too. Found myself dipping my sandwhich & fries in the chive sauce every now & then too. The service was really good too. It was lunch hour & I still didn't have a long wait. The ladies working were super sweet. And the place is very clean. Felt I got my monies worth. I'll be dropping back in to see Daddy plenty times :-) Yelp on my friends!"

Second, they have a good variety of options on their menu so it was not difficult at all to find something that hit most of my cravings!I visited for a late lunch on a lightly rainy Saturday and even sitting outside watching the rain was lovely! The patio covering was just enough.Food: I ordered the chimichurri steak which came with a side of broccoli and potatoes. I appreciated  that the steak was cooked to my liking and the potatoes were seasoned well! The meal was perfectly filling and hit the spot.Drinks: I ordered the sangria and frankly I was underwhelmed and did not finish it- I'd def. choose something else next time.Service: quick and straightforward. Loved that there was no wait.Would I recommend a visit? Absolutely! Perfect lunch or brunch spot solo or with friends/family for just about any occasion. A nice but relaxed spot with good food options."

Farrah A. "We love Maga's. It's a neighborhood cafe with a menu so diverse, you'll find Tex-Mex and Mexican favorites (spicy chicken enchiladas, flautas, fajita salad, gorditas estilo san luis, chicken mole, chile relleno), Mediterranean options like Greek salad, kabob, hummus platter; and other homestyle favorites, like chicken fried chicken, fettuccine alfredo, grilled salmon, artichoke dip, burgers, stuffed eggplant, and a lot of other veggie options. Normally when a menu is that diverse, the food is mediocre, but we've been pleased with the many items selected there. And everything's made to order, so don't dine there in a rush. My go-tos that I can not get away from - as much as I want to try other items on the menu - are the spicy chicken enchiladas, tostadas, migas, and eggs bennie. I believe it's woman-owned - it's all women in the kitchen working really hard, and quiet honestly looking tired from being on their feet all day. We always tip way over 20-25% because the food is really inexpensive. It's also BYOB. And they got rid of the outdoor seating to - what looks like - expand their kitchen and upgrade the restrooms. It's also very kid- and family-friendly with booster chairs and kiddie foods (like chicken tendies)."

Farrah A. "This is truly a family-owned and operated cafe and bakery. Restaurant owner Trinidad is back in the kitchen/bakery; his wife is tending to the tables; and their son and daughter are working the register and greeting guests. It's a small team, but they're working hard. (Oh, and son and daughter are also continuing their education in college while also working at the family biz.). Like I said: Hard working family! Many know La Casa Bakery & Cafe for going twitter viral in 2017 (Google the heartwarming story); others know them for their homemade tortillas and barbacoa breakfast tacos. Me, my family, and our family friends now know them as "the place with the best campechanas!"Mexican campechanas are a puff pastry hailing from the Mexican state of Campeche. (Do not confuse this with Mexican seafood cocktail, also called "campechana.") So the puff pastry campechanas from La Casa are the best in Houston. They're flaky, buttery, glazed with the perfect amount of sweet. And they don't lose their crunch after a few days (if they happen to last that long in my house.) I've placed at least three separate orders to take to family gatherings, and friends and family are always requesting more. "Pick up 20. Pick up 30..." Owner Trinidad has been working in the restaurant and panaderia scene for decades, and these recipes are his own. As for the breakfast plates, you can find plates for less than $5. That's insanely affordable. My last visit, the beau and I each had our own breakfast plates, then shared an order of pancakes for dessert. :)Do add this biz to your list to try. They recently made "Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas" for 2021. Drop in for breakfast, enjoy the Mexican decor and homey vibes, and take home some pastries.Kudos to this biz for adding a hand wash station upon entry! I appreciate this touch of added safety during pandemic dining."

This place is the cutest! We sat outside, it ended up being a beautiful chilly morning. They have an awesome outdoor space. You order inside and they just bring it out to you. The inside is just as adorable. The menu looked amazing. A lot of different options. Some savory, some sweet. We came pretty hungry, and everyone seemed to be super happy by their selection. Some ordered avocado toast, hash, egg sandwiches, etc. I went with the basic breakfast but there was nothing basic about it. Everything on that plate was delicious. Lots of ham and just the right proportion of cheese and cranberry chipotle jam on perfectly toasted Texas toast. My comfort food sandwich. Philly cheesesteak was a winner according to my friend and had a nice spicy kick from the jalapeño aioli. The patty melt was just ok - thick beefy patty cooked medium well which was good but husband said it was missing some moisture / sauce factor. Portions are just right to maybe a teeny bit too much. I used Yelp* and got a recommendation that Taqueria El Charro would be a good place for a Mexican style breakfast, so I went to it. The restaurant is located around the corner in a diverse strip mall but doesn't look like it really stands out, save for several vehicles in the parking lot.Inside, there is a cheerful dining area in Mexican style decor. The menus are well illustrated with a simple description under each menu item. There were several breakfast items available on the menu, but I chose the Menudo To-go.After paying and waiting a few minutes for the food to come out, I took it back to my hotel room. The menudo was well-packaged using quality to-go plastic containers, and comes with all the condiments needed, including hot sauce and salsa verde. Husband got the Midnight Mule, and he commented how good it was and it really gave him a buzz (maybe because it was strong, maybe because he hadn't eaten since breakfast, or maybe both?).We were going to get appy's, but our server did state they are all large portions, so we skipped it sine it was just the two of us. For my entree, I ordered the Tuscan Chicken. It was so tasty with fresh veggies, goat cheese and a terrific lemon butter sauce. Husband ordered the chicken blackened fettuccine and he really enjoyed it, although he felt it needed 4 pieces of garlic bread, not 2.
