"Was told Taste + Kitchen Bar was very good from locals. It was absolutely a good time for sure! The hostess sat us down, downstairs with very good music and a nice bar. It was very private and intimate with a nice ambiance. The food and drinks were good! For my drink I ordered the popular patron watermelon margarita that was very tasty and I don't even like watermelon like that. For my food I ordered the smothered chicken with greens, yams, and rice. The food was def bomb with the perfect seasoning. I tried some of my friends Mac & Cheese and that was good too! I recommend to get this entree it fills you up most of the day. Our server was very sweet and amicable! She was very welcoming and continued to check if we needed anything. However, I did not quite care for the photos that they take since I'm sure they knew we weren't from there. They charge you for the photos and don't let you take it on your phone. They put it in a frame and Eve thing cute idea, but not everyone will be willing to pay. It is what it is though! Despite that situation, it was a wonderful time with great food and ambiance. I recommend here for brunch! It's a vibe I'll for sure come back visiting Houston! Parking is street parking that you have to scan and pay. -Marshay D."
"Christmas day and most things were closed.Bowl & Barrel was open and we have wanted to go here for a while. This place has a cool bowling vibe with a bar and servers who come by for a limited menu.We were able to play 3 bowling games in 54 minutes. The team comes by to ask if you want more time, and we asked for 2 30-minute slots. This visit satisfied my curiosity. The staff wasn't overly pleasant. They seemed ready to get the next customers in.Parking: challenging Can park down the street in covered area in garage .Menu: limited only had pretzels and burgers todayCustomer service: fair For a 1st visit they didn't make an effort to make us wish to returnFun : definitely. Loved the way the lanes were set up and comfortable sitting .We had a good time playing .Not sure will return."

"Every time I come I enjoy myself here! The entire wait staff is so friendly and kind, always ready to accommodate and make conversation. The burgers are great as well! I love the mushroom swiss burger and banana pudding :)"
"My fried fish was light and fresh, and fried perfectly. The shrimp was spectacular as well and both shrimp and fish were prepared without heavy seasoning. Her turkey burger was the best she'd ever tried as she left not a morsel behind . She asked "Wow! How'd you find this place?" We both liked the fries too! Our frozen margaritas were just right. We will be coming back to check out the DJ and see what the crowd looks like at night. From what we can tell it looks like it will be lively as they have a small stage, ample seating room, a floor for dancing and a DJ booth."
"What a hidden gem. Our friend showed us this place and now its a regular stop on a weekly basis. They always have fresh food for snacking on and the drinks are reasonably priced. The DJ jams a wide assortment of music that brings out the harden bikers. The wait staff are like family. We love this place."
"Came here for lunch and was not disappointed by the food. The paella was fragrant, flavorful, and there were threads of saffron in the dish. The ingredients were fresh. The mussels, shrimps, calamari, chorizo, and chicken were perfectly cooked. The whole dish was delicious. The lamb shank was big, and super tender. The mash potato and green bean sides were good too. Baklava for dessert was the perfect ending. The phyllo pastry was crispy, thin, and flaky. The ground walnuts added extra texture, and the honey brought the dessert together. Scrumptious! The baklava was served with a small scoop of ice cream on the side. I have never eaten a baklava with ice cream so it was new to me. However, I found the ice cream to be unnecessary as the baklava was already a sweet dessert. I couldn't taste the sweetness from the ice cream after eating just one small spoon of baklava. I received great service today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The restaurant has an olden but modern look, and there are plenty of seats for small and big groups. There is plenty of parking too. I will be back for sure."
"Pretty New Mexican restaurant in the area. Location kind of stinks being right off the highway so if you don't exit properly, you'll pass it up and a pain to circle back. However, definitely worth the stop. Service was friendly and asked for our drinks right away. I ordered a margarita and the wife ordered a mango chamoy margarita, while the kids had water and lemonade. Chips and salsa were hot and fresh. Salsa had a good flavor to it and not overly spicy. For our entrees we had the chicken mole, which had a slight spice to it, the Tomball burrito, filled with chicken, beans and rice, then covered in queso and the fajita nachos. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous and food came out timely."
"Whenever we come here to visit our daughter and son-in-law, we make it a point to come here. We alway have a great experience with both food and service. This last time we sat in the bar area and had great service. On this visit, I had the Shrimp Mushroom & Truffle Risotto, which was excellent! We had a couple of bottles of wine off of their Wednesday special menu, which was pretty extensive. And YES! Get the garlic bread!"
"1/13/2024- Came here for breakfast with a party of 9 after the "We are Houston 5k" race. This place was highly recommended by Houston locals and ambassadors to the race. This place is the cutest! We sat outside, it ended up being a beautiful chilly morning. They have an awesome outdoor space. You order inside and they just bring it out to you. The inside is just as adorable. The menu looked amazing. A lot of different options. Some savory, some sweet. We came pretty hungry, and everyone seemed to be super happy by their selection. Some ordered avocado toast, hash, egg sandwiches, etc. I went with the basic breakfast but there was nothing basic about it. Everything on that plate was delicious. The eggs, the bacon, the bread, the potatoes! all of it.The one thing that stood out to us was the fantastic service by the staff. Highly recommended!"
"We were on vacation in Cat Springs, and wanted somewhere good to eat, and decided to drive the 25 min to get there. We ordered ahi nachos that were amazing, pizza was mediocre, the chicken wings snd coconut shrimp were also fantastic! We also ordered dessert that was great. We had the key lime pie, chocolate cake, and funnel cake. All 3 were delicious"
"Overall, I think it's a great bar. Drinks are strong, music is good, and atmosphere is chill. I went early in the evening during the week, so the place was extremely pleasant. However, based on the other reviews and Urban Social's IG page, this place easily transitions to a crowded lounge with a club-like scene on the weekends. So choose your vibe wisely. My drink of choice was the White Gummy Bear. It was fantastic. Sweet but packed a punch. The bartenders definitely know what they're doing here.Food options can be consumed here but must be purchased next door. Parking is shared with the establishments in the strip mall. I definitely recommend taking an Uber or Lyft."
"The food was so amazing, and well seasoned, the service was over the hills and outstanding! We didn't explore a lot of the restaurant but they had a upstairs dining as well. Perfect for a 32 birthday in August the Theme was picture perfect I could only imagine if they open up in Katy area. This is the perfect spot for kids before 6pm or 7pm and grown up time after 9pm. Applause from this Fathers Day!!"

Taste Kitchen + Bar is such a VIBE! Perfect for brunch or dinner, date nights, girls nights, etc. The guy sitting next to my friend and I even had his laptop out.If you looked them up already, I know their waffles caught your eye and that is exactly what I ordered. Half with chocolate chip and half with fruit. It was delicious! I loved their beverage options as well. Strawberry orange juice, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice. Mix them together and they'll serve you a "sunrise." Service was on POINT! I wasn't feeling the best this day and lost my voice, our waiter was patient and made sure I had tea and honey the entire time.If you're looking for a spot with good food, music, drinks and service, Taste Kitchen + Bar is your SPOT!

While in town visiting I came across this spot for happy hour deals and they didn't disappoint. I got there around 315 and got me a Lynchburg sour and lemon drop martini for $3 as well as two burger sliders for $3. Place wasn't crowded and the bartender was helpful and attentive. The drinks were not weak either. If I bowled I probably would've gave it a 5 star but I was just enjoying happy hour. If I ever come back to Houston again this will be the first stop.

I stopped in here for a late night dinner (at 9pm) after being at the beach and craved fried shrimp. Their fried shrimp basket came with 8 fried shrimp (the menu said 9), and a good portion of fries. The shrimp basket was only about $10.I ordered a Dr. Pepper which came in a can with a cup of ice, and the Dr. Pepper was $1. All in all, the meal was about $11, which was what I was looking for! Fried Shrimp and inexpensive!I would only deduct points for the menu saying 9 fried shrimp, but only receiving 8. But everything was tasty and good. I would definitely recommend.

This is a great bar! We went to see a live band on Sunday and the music was great. DJ played between sets and we danced. Crowd was fun and big. Great patio! I gave the low rating because the bar staff sucked. There are not enough POS machines and the bartenders had to line up for charges and closing out tickets. Each trip to the bar was between 20-30 minutes. The waitresses were great but overwhelmed. Bar owners need to build a more efficient way of doing business. This place could be a gem but it's not.

Enjoyed my Father's Day brunch here. Classy vibe, nice live music (pianist), and good service. Arrived at opening (10:00am) and our party of 4 was seated immediately without a wait. Server unobtrusive but present & polite. My eggs bendict was savory and tasty, and the skillet potatoes sidedish were crisp and perfectly cooked- but lacked flavor. On par price-wise with most bkft sitdown places in the area. Not a lot on the menu to draw me back, but left content.

FINALLY!!!!! A good Mexican restaurant in Tomball! We have tried almost everywhere and I remember hearing this place just opened! It's delicious! We did half n half margaritas (half on rocks half frozen = water) with Don Julio. Husband ordered birria tacos! I'm not sure I've ever seen his face so happy from food.... My feelings were almost hurt. I did the Baja shrimp tacos! Shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well! BEANS AND RICE was so GOOD! I hate when places skimp on the beans and rice that's one of my favorite parts! We also ordered a side of mole with shredded pork. The mole is house made and just like it's made in Mexico so so so good! Salsa and chips are also solid! Delicious neighborhood spot!

The BREAD!!!!! Hard to believe that garlic bread could have such an impact, but it did. Delicious, garlicky, goodness! The waitstaff is wonderful, the food spectacular. Overall a great experience. Wish it was a little quieter.

"Let me say we went on a Friday around 7pm. I expected the place to be hopping and it wasn't really busy except at the bar area. We ordered a couple drinks and they were ok. Not amazing but not terrible. I found the salas to lack flavor. We ordered the chili con queso. It was ok. Not bad. It was melted cheese. Then we ordered the mini tacos and they came with very bland rice and beans that were ok. The tacos were ok. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. I expected a place called Casa Tequila to have a more extensive tequila selection."
"Great place and atmosphere, very pleasant and attentive staff, beautiful views and very relaxing and secluded area.~ Ben was awesome and super helpful with menu and food recommendations. For sure we will return! We came back with family and the kids love the food as well, Jordan was amazing and very attentive."
"I came to Midtown Bar & Grill with my Sunday Brunch friends. I love about this place because of patio seating, parking lot, convenience to major thoroughfare, split check and most importantly, it's located in the Gayborhood. Food was good. I studied the menu before arriving. I ordered Gyro Sandwich. The pita was fresh and soft. The meat was tender and juicy. The cucumber sauce was thick. The overall food experience was excellent. I just wish there were more options to substitute the fries. Service was also great. There were 2 servers at our table of 12-ish. I would return to try other dishes."
"Move over dive bars. This is your competition. I love this place! Oh you need some toiletries? Maybe some farm fresh eggs? Wait, maybe you need a cheeseburger. No, I ate a pork barbecue sammy for $3.25 and had a Shiner for $2.50 but if you want a Naty Light you can have that for $1.75. If you need a stem in your life though, they got a few wines here too.We drove past it the first time but we learned about this place from the local law. A friend of mine got into trouble around town and somehow befriended the local enforcement and was told that this place is where you get your barbecue and the coldest beer. I don't really drink beer. Nor am I a huge fan of barbecue. But I had both here. The pork sammy I had for lunch was awesome. I'm not sure if it is a local thing but it wasn't dripping in sauce. However, it still maintained a nice vinegary not too sweet flavor. I had mine all the way... pickles.. onions... you know... load her down. Miss Taffy was also very kind to us making sure she tended to us city slickers. I had a great time talking to her and she really made me feel welcome. I'm sure that this is the place to be in the evening and weekends. I'm down."
"I randomly ended up at The Pour House Pub on a Friday night. I don't often go out in Stafford, but I partied with some friends who live in the area. Later on in the night, we decided to stop by The Pour House Pub for a drink. The Pour House is located in a shopping center next to a pizza joint so parking shouldn't be a problem. Better yet, you can order pizza from the bar. The Pour House is your typical neighborhood sports bar. It's casual, with an outdoor patio, a long bar, TVs, and some tabletop seating. Plus some pool tables. Service was good but nothing really stood out to me. The biggest turn off was that you can smoke indoors here. Even the bartender was smoking. Not a fan."
"Willie G's Seafood served a delicious lunch on a beautiful day in Galveston. After spending the morning at Featherfest, I joined my mother in law for a late lunch. It's been years since I last ate here, so I wanted to enjoy a couples dishes. I had the Shrimp and Crab salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The shrimp were large and the dressing was lightly drizzled, which is what I prefer. If you like more dressing, you may want to ask for extra on the side. The shrimp were also dipped in a delicious sauce. I also had the Lobster Bisque. The Lobster Bisque was light and complimented the salad very well. My mother in law has the Crawfish Etouffee. It was a large portion, so she was able to take home leftovers. The service was prompt and friendly. As always, the restaurant was very clean and had great views of the pier."
"Very good food. Had blueberry habinero wings and holy fries. Very good. Waiter was very friendly. Atmosphere is good. Kid friendly, 5 kids and a baby. Would come back."
"It's hard to say no to curries. I crave for something spicy in this 3-digit Houston heat. Yup, you heard it right. Heat on heat makes my tummy burning. I passed by Kathmandu Curry & Bar several times during my mall audit last 2 years. Every time I walked by, there were always crowds. My Yelper friend Sara I mentioned this restaurant because I was looking for a new restaurant to host my UYE (foodie meetup). This is my tradition to try the place before I could share my foodie loves. I came here on a Sunday afternoon after my weekly grocery shopping. I was starving. I ordered Mint Lemonade ($4), Chicken Curry ($17) and Pani Puri ($9). I swear these prices added up $30 to be qualified for the check-in offer. But waitress refused to honor because "it doesn't exist." I had Puri Puffs at Indian buffets but never had Pani Puri like this before. The flavored water was spicy and savory. I poured it into each pocket and feed straight into my mouth. The excitement starts with crunchy shell followed by tasty filling and the cold liquid from the sauce. Boom! Bam! It was also fun to eat. The mint lemonade has a foam from squeezed mint green. It had a hint of sweetness and not overpowering taste of mint. The drink was refreshing but it served in a wrong container with a straw. I just wish it was served in a tall drink glass instead of fluted water glass. My entrée was the signature Kathmandu Curry with chicken as the protein. I chose naan instead of rice as starch. The chicken was so tender. The sauce wasn't pungent nor spicy, as I was eating. I'll know later. Haha. Naan bread was fresh and fluffy. Well balanced main dish. Overall, I spent a little beyond my budget for a lunch but it was well worth the experience. It has a potential to be featured at my foodie adventures event. Especially, they offer split checks to the individual level."
"It's very rare to find a gem in Southeast Austin, but when you do, it is every bit worth it. Marais is decorated elegantly and reminds you of somewhere in the garden district in New Orleans. Every Sunday, Marais hosts a Sunday Jazz Brunch between 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM where jazz musicians and Marais breakfast buffet (a la carte also available) come together. Reservations highly recommended and as far as my favorite dish goes, THE FRESHLY MADE FRENCH TOAST made right in front of you! Also, who can say "no" to $10 whole bottle mimosas?!"
"Great music on Fridays with Jazz. Cool hip place. The service is great and the drinks are craftily made. Cool place for a date night."
"This bar is ghetto as hell especially for a midtown bar. No one was wearing a mask, it's was pact, and it takes 30 minutes just to get one drink. They're severely understaffed and the vibes were completely off. Do not go here if you're concerned about covid precautions!!! Terrible."
"This place is cute, divey & has outdoor seating. They have wine, beers & also sell coffee. I got a Topo Chico- seltzer (mango) flavor. For food, we got hummus, veggie quesadilla, chicken quesadilla, chips/salsa, & the chicken nachos. All the food was good. We really did like the salsa, had a kick to it. The chicken quesadilla was actually very good & perfect serving size. A cute, affordable place."
"I really don't like giving two stars on a review but this spot did it for me. This is my 3rd time here & it's all been a pretty disappointing experience. We got here around 9pm & it wasn't busy which is a good thing. The inside was more lively with a crowd that I'll describe as college drunks, but I'm not tripping since we sat outside where it was more chilled & relaxing. The first two times I was here I ordered their rainbow sherbet & old fashioned. The sherbet was solid but the old fashioned was overwhelming with syrup which took away the bourbon taste. My 3rd time here I got their Jack & Coke & some Cajun dry rub wings. My Jack and Coke was a joke, it was watered down & had about 90 percent coke & a pinch of Jack. If you can't make a simple Jack & coke then you shouldn't be a bartender. Even I can make that with my eyes closed. My wings tasted terrible. For 1. They gave me the wrong order since I was given garlic Parmesan instead of Cajun dry rub. But at this point I was already annoyed with this place so I ate what was in front of me. The wings was undercooked & had a gummy texture. Whoever cooked it didn't even attempt to seasoned it. Even the skin was bland. My friend had some chicken tenders and I wished I could've just ordered that because it actually had flavor, his fries was good as well. If you want good wings go to cedar creek. It's actually cooked through, fried hard & flavorful. Overall, it was a below par experience. Some of the bartenders are nice and some are not & they just want your money & get you on your way. Will I come back? Nah I'm good."
"We came here for dinner on a Sat. evening around 6:00pm with the family of 5. The hostess seat us right away, no waiting. Cami (Camila) our waitress was very sweet, nice, & informative. She definitely has great customer service & very attentive in checking on us for empty plates and refills in our drinks. My husband order the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo $13.49 4/5 stars. My son and I shared the combo for 2 beef fajitas with flower tortillas $36.39 4/5 stars. My 2 littles one got the kids meals, both chicken tenders $6.69 4/5 stars. All the food was pretty decent."
"I stopped by Xochi for lunch on a Thursday for my birthday. Located downtown, we parked at the metered parking across the street. Valet is also an option. With this Mexican restaurant being located close to Discovery Green, self-parking is not easy. But definitely worth it for a Hugo Ortega restaurant. One of Houston's most famous chefs, and a James Beard winner at that, I've tried out a lot of his other restaurants in town. Xochi had been on my list for a while. The restaurant is attached to the Marriott Marquis. We were seated promptly and started to look over the menu. The ambiance at Xochi is nice. Fresh and modern with an emphasis on Mexican decor. Hugo Ortega is from Oaxaca which is renowned in Mexico for its cuisine. I started off with a Mexican beer I had never had before and then tlayuda de res. The tlayuda is a popular street food in Oaxaca and it was my first time having it. The best way to describe it is think of a Mexican pizza. Start with a crisp large tortilla and then add skirt steak, chicilo mole (the sauce), quesillo (the cheese), and black beans. It's a visually appealing dish and something different than anything I've ever had. Not my favorite but the beef was flavorful. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and had an attention to detail. You can tell that Hugo trains his staff very well. He asked us if we were celebrating anything and we told him that it was my birthday. They provided me with a complimentary flan with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate and a candle. Super nice of them! We also tried their Oaxacan hot chocolate and churros. The hot chocolate is made tableside which is a cool experience. The churros were delightful---one of my favorite desserts but the hot chocolate was lukewarm so this was a mess. Overall, a little room to tie up some loose ends but a great restaurant!"
"I came with 3 friends on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy.To begin with, parking. There is the option for Valet or you may get lucky and find a spot in their lot which is not very big. There are 3 areas for seating: 2 indoors and 1 outdoors. We were going to sit outside but it was chilly so we sat inside. We got our menus and waited...until we realized that you have to go order at the bar. For my beer I chose the True Anomaly Lily and it was SO GOOD! I was very impressed with their beer selection.I tried the Brisket Grilled Cheese and it was okay.I would definitely come back for the beers!"
"Wow what a pleasant patio dining experience for one today!Weather is gorgeous and the staff seated me under the tree, so I would be almost guaranteed longer shade.I had the entire entrance patio to myself, so I felt very VIP!! They have some jazzy elevator music, but I love that because I can chillax without words - sounds like Spanish guitar at times. Staff is kind and welcome and knowledgeable with the menu.I tried the HRW $25 lunch and was impressed with my crab cake - big chunks of crab and I liked my roasted potatoes and salad, almost like a bento plate.Today was an iced tea kind of day and they kept my glass full. I was just enjoying the sunshine, oak trees, and sycamores. I think they just have the standard iced tea, perhaps having some different flavor options might be fun.The lemon tart was delish - crunchy phylo crust and merengue like topping with the tangy lemon filling, just perfect for a breezy warmer day.So much fun to people watch, great crowd of all ages - one human had magenta hair, I felt style envy!Highly recommended for lunch!"
"Ordered the chopped steak with a salad for $12.99 as a lunch special. The staff seemed not very friendly or happy to be at work. The salad bar was pushed against a wall making it hard to reach items at the back. The salad bar had a good variety and I like that they had pineapple as an option.Cool rustic cowboy decor inside.Metal utensils, ceramic plates and paper napkins.Chopped steak had brown gravy and grilled onions and mushrooms on too and was quite good. Portion size was good.I would come back again"
"Always a solid place to hang out on the weekend. No drama, good music, and good people. Oh and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for drinks! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cool. Now if you don't like people smoking around you this is NOT the place for you. But if you don't mind then this is a cool hang out."
"The best place in Madisonville I seriously eat here 3 times a week Margaritas are on point.Foods great new building is awesome. Service can be slow but they just moved locations. They will catch up soon"
"This is their second location now far from their 1st. If you have ever been to Swagger you will find it this one is much larger as the first is always congested and parking limited. The parking are is expanded as their is a CVS next door that expands where you can park. There is also a valet option which they don't have at the first one. There is a small patio are where you can sit as well as to order hookah if. You like. Once inside you will notice that this is noticeable larger than the first. The music is loud and lots of people are smoking hookah just like Swagger. The bar is accessible for 3 sides unlike the other where it was a headache to try and get a drink. drinks are very easy to order here. I don't really got to the first anymore as this one is more accessible for parking, drinks and being able to walk through without bumping or squeezing past people."
