Candi R. "The first time I ate here was in 2021 and my experience in 2024 was even better than the last time. I didn't realize how much I loved Indian cuisine until trying Musaafer. The service was great. Our server recommended a red wine that was really good called Archimedes. It was perfect and went down very smooth and although it was a Cabernet Sauvignon, it was still a little sweet and not dry. I was impressed by this. I started off with the lamb chop appetizer. Wow! I was lost for words once it hit my taste buds. I'm used to smoked/grilled lamb chops but Musaafer's lamb chops had a curry flavor and the meat (that marinated for 72 hours) was falling off the bone style tender. It was amazing!Next, I ordered the Dum Ki Ribs with onion & cumin rice + balchao potatoes. My guest had the beef vindaloo and a premium beer that I can't recall the name of. Our bill came out to $400+ but it was only because the bottle of wine was about $200. The prices are not over the top considering the food and service is exceptional. The Indian art aesthetics are amazing and the ambiance has a modern, trendy, golden palace vibe to it. The bathroom and entry is wheelchair accessible. This place is a must visit. There is something on the menu for everyone as they also serve organic, vegan and vegetarian dish options available. They have self parking and valet service and it is inside of the Galleria across from Nobu."

This place gives you all the vibes of a homemade bakery and coffee shop. From the sweet treats to the veggie samosas. What I love is that when I walk in the gentleman who makes my Masala Chai literally knows me by my drink haha. This place has a handful of drink options coffee and tea nice and simple. I love that about this place nothing overly complicated nor complex drinks just simple authentic. They do have a large sitting area and offer wifi so it's a good place to work and or study. Highly recommend to give this place a try!"

I got the chicken biryani and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it extremely tasty but it came with a side salad and plenty of sauces. The portion was HUGE. For $8.99 I got enough food for 3 Meals. They were also very generous with the pieces of meat. Overall, will be ordering from here again."

Lou C. "It's hard to say no to curries. I crave for something spicy in this 3-digit Houston heat. Yup, you heard it right. Heat on heat makes my tummy burning. I passed by Kathmandu Curry & Bar several times during my mall audit last 2 years. Every time I walked by, there were always crowds. My Yelper friend Sara I mentioned this restaurant because I was looking for a new restaurant to host my UYE (foodie meetup). This is my tradition to try the place before I could share my foodie loves. I came here on a Sunday afternoon after my weekly grocery shopping. I was starving. I ordered Mint Lemonade ($4), Chicken Curry ($17) and Pani Puri ($9). I swear these prices added up $30 to be qualified for the check-in offer. But waitress refused to honor because "it doesn't exist." I had Puri Puffs at Indian buffets but never had Pani Puri like this before. The flavored water was spicy and savory. I poured it into each pocket and feed straight into my mouth. The excitement starts with crunchy shell followed by tasty filling and the cold liquid from the sauce. Boom! Bam! It was also fun to eat. The mint lemonade has a foam from squeezed mint green. It had a hint of sweetness and not overpowering taste of mint. The drink was refreshing but it served in a wrong container with a straw. I just wish it was served in a tall drink glass instead of fluted water glass. My entrée was the signature Kathmandu Curry with chicken as the protein. I chose naan instead of rice as starch. The chicken was so tender. The sauce wasn't pungent nor spicy, as I was eating. I'll know later. Haha. Naan bread was fresh and fluffy. Well balanced main dish. Overall, I spent a little beyond my budget for a lunch but it was well worth the experience. It has a potential to be featured at my foodie adventures event. Especially, they offer split checks to the individual level."

Danny L. "Ten second summary:-Not worth a destination trip, but if you are around the area, it's worth a try.-Butter chicken is below par, but the saag paneer and naan is fantastic. One of the best naan in the area.-Service from our waitress, Mahi, was spectacular. She was very polite and came by often to check on us.The saag paneer was flavorful and had a plentiful amount of paneer, but sadly, the butter chicken lacked flavor and was a bit watered down. In a way, it kind of balances the score. The naan was amazing. It comes out freshly made so it's hot, crispy, and lightly buttered. There is no wow factor to make this a destination Indian buffet, but if you are around the area, it's not a bad option."

Granted, the waitress was not the best, but the owners were so gracious and nice and visited our table a couple of times to make sure our food was up to a good standard. I really liked that they brought our food out as soon as it was ready, because then we were able to eat very hot food. Nothing bothers me more than going to a restaurant and getting food that just tastes a warm and not actually hot.The honey garlic wings were very good and so were the spring rolls. My favorite things was the chicken tikka and the chicken Popsicles which were essentially the chicken tikka with a lemon and butter sauce on top of them. I really enjoyed the dumplings as well we got them steamed and Pan roasted and I like them Pan roasted best. The mango laasi is delicious as is the gulab jamun.I wish them much success and I'm so happy to have a new halal chinese/pakistani place open! Can't wait to visit again!"

The waiter and manager were quite attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. This restaurant has only been open a couple of months, and is planning to have a lunch buffet starting sometime in January. Wendy T. "Honestly, it was disappointing to see that there is no more buffet which was one of the pros of this place. The restaurant is also somehow smaller as well and it seems like they only offer take-out. The best thing about the buffet is that you get to try a variety of dishes and see how they taste so you know which one is good or not. One entree good at an Indian restaurant is generally not the same in every Indian restaurant. Having said that, the samosas were some of the best samosas I've had. They may be small but really good! I ordered the chicken vindaloo, and it was ok. I did like that the portion was good, the chicken is tender, and amount of chicken given was also good. It also tasted better the next day, but chicken vindaloo is not something that I like-like that I would want to get again. However, most of it was good to the point that I plan to try another entree and get those samosas again! One more thing, they don't have print out receipts. When I wanted a receipt, they wrote it down on the Guestcheck order paper as receipt."

Found this spot and placed an order for a few items which were:Veggie Samosa - 7/10Chicken Tikka Masala - 7/10Gongura Shrimp Biryani - 9/10Garlic Naan - 6/10Both the veggie samosas and chicken tikka masalas were solid; not over-the-top but good. The samosas had some crunch and good filling. The chicken tikka was tender with good spice and seasoning. Garlic Naan was alright, texture-wise it's soft with good amount of seasonings. By itself, not bad. Dip in that masala, now it's to another level! Favorite was the Shrimp Biryani, by far. Shrimp is large, the rice and seasonings go well together and it's quite filling. And the portion is huge! Had leftovers for the next day and it still tasted awesome when microwaved.Price-wise, it's a bit expensive but that's with the doordash extra charges (why do I keep getting suckered by them). I look forward to checking out the restaurant and eating at the establishment where it's much better cooked-to-order than delivered to you."

Wendy T. "I keep on going back to get the paratha, which is oh-so-delicious. My next favorite is the chicken malai boti which is tender, juicy and flavorful. I always get it extra spicy. I had also tried the palak paneer which I think is better than a lot of places but I am not a big fan of too much cumin. The biryani's are tasty and a must-try, and I think maybe actually taste better the next day. I also tried the chicken samosa and the samaosa which were good but not my favorite favorite, but still good. Also had the seekh chicken kabob which has a lot of spices, which I also liked, but I think it can be a bit strong for some. The chicken tikka leg was ok to me. I think you get your money's worth on everything here though. Really glad this cafe is available for good Indo-Pak cuisine. Although the area and the interior of this restaurant is no frills, dont let that fool you. The food is pretty good and was not nearly as spicy as I was originally thinking it may be.I tried the beef nihari, which is the first entree on the back side of the menu, also the goat curry, and butter chicken. I also added garlic naan. Soft drinks are in a can or bottle, as they do not have a soda fountain here.Beef nihari - this was like a stewed pot roast. It is cooked with fat and sits in a lot of oil. I am thinking you receive about 1/4 lb of meat, if that in the dish. I likes the slivers of ginger in this.Goat curry - this also has slivers of ginger and to me it seemed a bit spicier than the nihari. In contrast, you receive much more goat meat which comes in tender chunks. I am thinking I would order this dish again for sure.Butter chicken - this was my least favorite dish. The white meat chicken was too dry and most noticeably the curry was just too salty. I've had many better in the Houston area, so wouldn't order this dish again.Service is ok, but don't expect to be waited on after ordering."

I had the chickpea curry and house shrimp special curry and was delighted. The food was just as spicy as I requested and it was making my nose run a little bit. The chick peas were tender, and the sauce was well balanced and not lacking any herbs or spices. The shrimp dish was delicious as well, just wish there was more shrimp but not too sad as that delicious sauce was most definitely sopped up with the naan. I guess they got so many leaky cups. Customers seemed to enjoy this place. It's a buffet. It was Saturday. The food seemed plentiful on the buffet line.
