"Ever since moving closer to Champions masjid area, we hardly get to go to the masjid al Mustafa area but BBQ Village has been on my radar for so long that I can't even remember. Fast forward to tonight and I had a craving for BBQ but Bundu Khan wasn't open so I went on Uber and thankfully they deliver to Cypress. And I am so glad that I paid all the premiums for service and delivery fee because it was worth every penny! Here is all the food that I ordered:1. Beef gola kabab.2. Chicken tikka - leg quarters and breast.3. Chicken malai boti - chunks.4. Beef seekh kabab.5. Fried parathay6. NaanThe gola kabab was seasoned to perfection. The smoky flavor was coming in every bite. And when you paired it with the paratha it just all made the absolute bite from your dreams of Pakistan. The chicken tikka was my second favorite item from the list of things that we ordered. As were the parathay. Beef seekh kabab were good but a little cold by the time the food was delivered. Not sure if they tasted a little dry because of the temperature or if it was because of the meat. The naan was very soggy but I think that was also because of the packaging and delivery time. We ended up putting it in the toaster oven and it tasted great after that but because we were waiting for it to heat up the malai boti got a little cold. I guess I should have ordered more than 2 parathas because everything tasted great with them. Because these things were caused due to the delayed delivery timing, I am rounding the review up to five stars as everything was seasoned and cooked to perfect temperature.I can't wait to actually go eat there in person. I hear that they have a Thursday night buffet which is also a very good deal in town. If you read my reviews, one of my favorite things to say is #cameraeatsfirst. Well, the food smelled so good tonight that I ravenously opened up all the packaging and unfortunately camera did not get to eat first tonight. And just like that all the food was gone."
"I remember coming here earlier, last year, I believe, and did not end up writing a review, but I definitely wanted to write one this time. I am big on professionalism and I am happy to say that this establishment has great customer service and they bring the food out happily and promptly. They have a great setting that makes it actually feel like you're going out to eat, instead of just grabbing a quick bite. I love their white chicken karahi and the fresh bread (naan) that they give. The kalonji naan and garlic naan are fantastic. I think the prices are fair and I would definitely bring more family and friends here if I had the chance. If I lived closer, or still worked in this side of town, I would be a regular! The man who I believe is the owner even gave a light to someone to hold up while we took family pictures and I thought that was absolutely a great and memorable touch! They really know what they are doing here!"
"I was looking for a new pakistani restaurant in the Houston area and found this one on my way back home. Although the area and the interior of this restaurant is no frills, dont let that fool you. The food is pretty good and was not nearly as spicy as I was originally thinking it may be.I tried the beef nihari, which is the first entree on the back side of the menu, also the goat curry, and butter chicken. I also added garlic naan. Soft drinks are in a can or bottle, as they do not have a soda fountain here.Beef nihari - this was like a stewed pot roast. It is cooked with fat and sits in a lot of oil. I am thinking you receive about 1/4 lb of meat, if that in the dish. I likes the slivers of ginger in this.Goat curry - this also has slivers of ginger and to me it seemed a bit spicier than the nihari. In contrast, you receive much more goat meat which comes in tender chunks. I am thinking I would order this dish again for sure.Butter chicken - this was my least favorite dish. The white meat chicken was too dry and most noticeably the curry was just too salty. I've had many better in the Houston area, so wouldn't order this dish again.Service is ok, but don't expect to be waited on after ordering."
"Great food with amazing service. Khalid bhai and Yasmin bhen (master chef) have this place rocking. The crew had all the logistic covered. No wait on puri, naan, paratha or any food. They had so many varieties of food that it was hard to pick and choose. Keep it up guys."
"Very good Buffet for the price. Go try Butter Chicken one of the best in Houston metro area. Always good service and nice people there. Chicken Tikka masala is very good too. Will go back again for sure."
"Great chicken tikka and naan. Plenty of parking. You order your meal to go, ahead of time or order in and have a seat. Saturday when we visited there was plenty of seating and booths. They also have grocery area in the same place. Saw a smoothie sign and next time will order one. The place is located right off U.S. 90 next door to the country store/gas station."
"Today was our first time there. Pretty much a hole in the wall. Food was extremely authentic. We ordered the chicken tikka leg and chicken tikka masala. Taste-wise, Comparable to Aga's in Houston. Must try."
"Nice old-fashioned interior and furniture for a Indian buffet restaurant. As soon as I walked in to Mezban, employees immediately greeted us.Food was decent. I went with a group after a bus tour around Hilcroft Gandhi Shopping District. The cleanliness however was a concern. I saw a critter crawling across the floor as I was about to sit down. As I poured a drink into the foam cups, I started to feel the leak on my hand. Holy sh... I grabbed another cup to catch the drip. The tables were not the cleanest. I guess they got so many leaky cups. Customers seemed to enjoy this place. It's a buffet. It was Saturday. The food seemed plentiful on the buffet line. I sampled few dishes and went back for more of what I liked. I couldn't tell which was which because the labels were moved. I just wish Mezban was more organized and cleaned to my usual restaurant dining expectations."

Bar BQ Village Halal Pakistani Restaurant 9stars out of 10 Restaurant Name @bbqvillagehouston Stopped by to try this restaurant that i had not been to since march of 2021 during their thurs buffet. They made some significant improvements and here is my review. I got their super savor combo deal that comes with beef bihari, chicken boti, chicken/beef seekh kabob and a tikka leg, it comes with 2 naan but i swapped out for one puri paratha. the combo value is great for 15 dollars you get all of this BBQ compared to another place that is well known where just getting 1 seekh kabob and a paratha will run you more.My rating on the food. The star of the show the beef bihari was amazing. the best melt in your mouth bihari i had ! the masala and texture of the beef was perfect. the trip here is worth it just because of the bihari .the raita and tamarind chutney are great slightly thick not watery and very tasty .the puri paratha was a perfect flakiness and delicious .the chicken boti was delicious perfectly cooked and marinated . the chicken seekh kabob was delicious as well and great taste. the beef kabob was decently good.the chicken tikka leg was decent. i think it needs to be marinated longer to soak up the goodness. i seen another restaurant give it some good stabs and they lather it up with spices and have it hanging in the fridge for hours before cooking, perhaps that is the magic touch . for dessert they had matka kulfi and regular kulfi. fresh and delicious .they have the most affordable prices on dine in BBQ and they have a buffet thursday. My ala carte experience was good and i hope to try their buffet again after all the changes they made. value 10/10customer service 8.5/10taste 8.5/10#halalhouston #houstonhalal #houstonfood #houstonfoodie #houstonfoodies#asianfood#halalfood#megustahalal #karachi#desifood#pakistanfood#pakistanifood#bbq#desibbq#paratha#chickentikka

Restaurant has simple decor, and plenty of seats for big and small groups. Service was great. My waitress gave recommendations, and advices on spice level for different dishes. She was attentive and polite too. My friend and I came for lunch, and we had the Lasbela mutton karahi, murgh malai handi, and garlic naan. The mutton karahi had the right amount of spice. The meat was tender, and the gravy was flavorful. The murgh malai handi was creamy, and not spicy. The chicken pieces are slightly over cooked but the flavors were great. For people who can't handle spice but would like to just-do-it, consider ordering the mutton karahi and murgh malai handi because the cream in murgh malai handi balances the spiciness of the mutton karahi. The garlic naan was so fragrant. It had the right amount of garlic, and it was soft. To end our meal, we had the plain burfilee which had thin slices of almond on it. The burfilee was creamy but not overly sweet. It was a good dessert. I also had a cup of masala chai. The tea was fragrant and I could taste the black tea. But it could be better if the spices were more prominent. I would come back for more.

First time comer here! I used to live 2 mins away from this restaurant but I've never got to have foods here. While my work took me near here today, I gave myself try on this restaurant and that was a good decision! :) I ordered three things, cheese stuff, fried rice and garlic bread/nan? They were all delicious and I had a lovely time. I would say authentic Indian cuisine with good Indian vibes! Service was great and the lady staff gave me good suggestions for my dish options! I wish I came here while I was living closer... oh well, will definitely visit more my beloved vegetarian options Come visit for those who love Indian foods Cheers

The flavor was good but I was really disappointed to find that you have to order rice separately when you order curry dishes. I ordered lunch for the office, 3 dishes in total, and we received no rice whatsoever. It would be nice if their descriptions were a little more thorough and included that information-- this was on Uber Eats, so if their regular menu is more thorough, they should update their menu on Uber Eats to reflect that. I also didn't get any utensils or napkins in my bags. Besides that, my palak paneer that I paid like 12 dollars for only had TWO pieces of cheese. It's literally a spinach dish with fried cheese and only had two small cubes of cheese. What a bummer. The dish itself was tasty so I'm just disappointed that it was riceless and almost cheeseless lol

"Tried out the lunch buffet and was pleased with the quantity of different foods and the quality of some. As with all buffets, you won't expect to get the freshest each time but the staff did their best to provide the freshest dishes first. Service was great. The kabobs were probably the best item there followed by the butter chicken. Next time I will be sure to try their custom order pizza and non buffet items. Clean and well maintained restaurant."
"Me and my BFF came here for dinner. We both were craving curry and grill, and she suggested Pakwan House. My family had recently hosted an event at their banquet hall and we liked the food that was catered. While the exterior may not be too appealing, and the interior ambiance was plain and simple, the restaurant itself was clean. We were greeted by person, who was the cashier, host and server at the same time. Later on, I did notice the owner come in as the restaurant had gotten busy. I believe he used to be a partial owner of Shahnai restaurant. My friend wanted samosas as appetizers, so we ordered a few of them. We also ordered daal (lentils), and a mixed grilled platter, which consisted of Chicken Tikka, Chicken boti, Seekh Kabobs with sautéed onions. Regardless of diet, one must order Naan with these items. Our samosas were hot n crispy. Daal was creamy and rich with flavor and the grilled items were very good. Naan came hot off the oven and was a perfect compliment to the meal. They had plenty of other grilled items and traditional dishes which are available on the menu. From what I hear, they also serve a buffet, which might be for lunch only. Inquire within.I do plan on visiting again soon."
"Now under New and creative ownership! Chef Zaheer had a long resume of impressive restaurant and hotel catering positions in many countries in the past. He is ultra friendly. The first few times they didn't even charge me for tea to go. I have seen them sitting at a table, dining with their staff together. That's the mark of a good owner. Food:They've decided to focus the menu on a few unique high quality items and perfect them and so far that looks to be a very good strategy. I tried the green chutney chicken and it was very tender. The chicken zinger burger also hit the spot.Tea/Chai:I absolutely love the tea here because it's karak and flavorful. I frequently stop by to get some on my way home. It is bold and really goes well with anything. Buffets:They have a Wednesday night nihari buffet that looks out of this world with unlimited bone marrow versus what you'll pay 20 bucks for at a restaurant. They have a Sunday buffet with breakfast that will knock you out and make you sleep the rest of the day because there are so many items. I've yet to try out more as as they get situated. Heard the biryani and bihari are good. They even are offering a daily lunch tiffin delivery for the same price as fast food, but in this case you'll get a home cooked meal.Very innovative and nice folks. Give them a try. They will come by and talk to you and are a blast to chat with."
"Was impressed by both goat and chicken, but warning the goat chops are big - for lunch we had too much food. But spices were spot on."
"Nice place with great service. The food items at Savoy are super flavorful and the quality is great. Everything we tried was worth ordering and reordering. I especially enjoyed their goat biryani and mixed vegetable dish. I look forward to trying their special weekend breakfast menu and other items."
"I had a decent experience at curry masala. I went for lunch, and it was kinda busy. The food was ok, and a little expensive but the drinks were really good!I got the mango lassi and vindaloo masala (with chicken). The lassi was really delicious! The vindaloo was ok, the chicken was a bit tough. The portions were good though, and it left me very full. I'd probably try something different next time. We also got the milk and chai for dessert and it was pretty good! The chai has a unique and strong flavor and I liked it.The service here was pretty good, they were attentive but it did take a little bit for our food to arrive (although i might have just been starving haha). The interior of the restaurant was nice and decorated well. It felt homey and comfortable. Overall, I might go here again if I'm in the area"
"Food truck name@barbecuerollhouse I had the pleasure of trying one of the food trucks that I never knew was parked in Voss Road food truck location. I grabbed their Chicken Tikka, beef bihari roll and also had the pleasure of trying out their Darbari kheer , which i erroneously called "kashmiri kheer "due to the color . All of their food was delicious. My favorite being the Beef bihari. I am not a bihari fan because a lot of bihari/rolls containing bihari I have had either have mushy meat with a weird aftertaste or really gaimey for some odd reason. The meat here was fantastic. It was like skirt steak bihari. Perfectly moint, right amount of marination and the chutney gave it that spicy POP of flavor. the chicken tikka roll was also fascinating. I had to get extra chutney to make it saucey . The pink kheer was very delightful as well. It was not overwhelming in sugar which is good after a heavy meal . Do give this restaurant a try. The staff is also very kind . The sister running the restaurant and her family and employees are really kind and very hardworking . Keep up the good work."
"This was definitely the worst experience we have had since moving to Texas. We had been craving Indian food and were nearby and stopped in. No one was there at dinner, we should have taken that as a sign. Looked at their online menu and the yummy pictures and ordered. Nothing came like the photos, and none of the dishes were good. Two were inedible. We asked the server if we could send back the appetizer, but they refused. They proceeded to list off a bunch of reasons why the inedible food was the fault of "customers not understanding Indian food" and "people not liking spicy". Too many excuses, too little care in the food. They offered no apology and refused to split the check in two. $45 for 2 and no one ate...."
"Delicious rolls! My boyfriend & I came by for the first time yesterday and tried both the beef & chicken phattie rolls. I was blown away by how good both of these were.If I had to choose a favorite roll, it would be the beef phattie. It comes "topped with pickled & fried onions, garlic mayo, and BBQ chutney rolled up in a flakey, buttery paratha." The paratha was so soft & fresh with the perfect amount of crispness. It reminded us of kathi rolls in Kolkata but with a completely different flavor profile! The beef itself was extra flavorful and tender. I am ready to go back right now just writing this review lol.We were initially confused because Rollin Phatties is listed on both Yelp & Google as opening at noon, but they were still getting ready when we placed our order around 12:25 PM. We didn't receive our order until ~ 1 PM. While it was a fairly long wait, the guys working here were very friendly and apologetic about the time. They gave us a free chicken phattie roll, which in our opinion more than made up for the extra wait time. For now, I would recommend coming by for a later lunch than we did in case they are still figuring out the timing. I can't wait to go have another beef phattie roll soon!"
"Wow, wow, wow! The food was so delicious. I am a vegetarian and they had multiple options for me. The food is well seasoned and tasty. I will definitely be back."
"It hurts to give them just two stars but after several visits it's just not up to par with the few good pakistani kabab joints in Houston. Thier kababs are spicy but the spice just masks the lack of flavor in the meat and it's quality. The haleem was such a major disappointment, not nearly enough meat in there and what was horrendous was the clumps of spices that weren't dissolved fully in the curry. Rendered it nearly inedible. The saving grace is the naan but it's pointless if there is nothing worthy to eat it with! It's a huge restaurant and they do have somewhat of a cult following. I sincerely don't get it."
"Great food and service. Ask for the special Kerala entrees from this family owned establishment. We love the food with the right spices of a home cooked authentic meal. Highly recommend it!"
"Pretty good pizza with the perks of the great prices. They don't skimp on the toppings and the Desi pizzas makes things unique. The Spicy Ride isn't that spicy but the toppings liven up the chutney base. The Paneer Tikka was interesting also. The tikka seasoning wasn't strong but the paneer gives the slices a different texture and comes off like a seasoned ricotta. We need more fusion pizza joints in this city, especially since so many of the non-chain takeouts are owned by non-Italians.I wish they were close to me so that delivery wouldn't give me a cold pizza, but that's what a hot oven is for. As others have noted, it is in area where sketchy people just loiter around the convenience store next door. I don't know why people do that, but I've got more exciting options in my life."
"Can't go wrong with BBQ food at a PK restaurant. From the aromas of tikkas, kabobs, boti etc, it's an awesome experience every time. We ordered chicken tikka legs and breast. Bihari kabob, seekh kabobs, chicken and beef boti's and a whole bunch of that carbolicious NAAN. The food was excellent. All items were on point. My only complaint to them is the following, which prevented them from getting 5 stars. It's a sit down restaurant and they have introduced this new policy where you have to pay first and then be seated for your food. The major problem I have with this is that every time you have to order something else, you have to go back and run your credit card again for like a dollar transaction or two dollar transaction rather having a Kiosk system where u just rack up the tab and pay in the end, like most of other sit down restaurants do. It so happened that the owner was present at that moment and I went and told him about this and his response was that we have had people that walked out and we cannot afford this, so I told him that as a business owner it's a risk you have to factor in running a business. Sadly enough, he wasn't concerned."
"In LIFE, I have made BLUNDERS and MISTAKES and one notable blunder was to dine at this location for lunch today. I was so disgusted, upset, and enraged when I left. I wouldn't even serve this food to my pets, much alone Humans. We got here around 2ish and went to the buffet. The food items looked old and dried up. The only reason I didn't leave was because my friend had already grabbed food on her plate and at that point, we felt it was too late to abandon. I wish I could have just left. I was just annoyed the entire duration. I was so disgusted that I didn't even bother taking pictures, but here's a breakdown of some of the items:Biryani was stale, dry and no meat Chicken tandoor was cold dry piece sitting kabob were completely dark and dried upOkra was tasteless with no flavor Haleem was dry as if it's been sitting for a day or 2Potatoes were watery The buffet itself looks dirty Fried fish looked like happy meal from McDonalds The Chinese food section was awful looking Karhai Chicken. Stale, barely luke warm The only thing that was barely fresh and possibly earned them a star is the naan they came along with the puri, but we were so disgusted with the food that we didn't even finish the bread. They had brewed tea with milk in the percolator which was decent. They charge u $14.99 for this piece of crap food which is. Not even worth $1.99. Shame on them!!! And here came the most painful part when I had to pay for this ______. Avoid yourself the pain and suffering and just go somewhere else. With such atrocious food and service, I wonder how long they will stay afloat."
"We should have listen to Dad's request when he said he wanted his fave, Luby's, for his birthday dinner. But sisters and I were craving naan. As mentioned in my first review, we get catering from Lazeeza for birthdays and such, so this year for Daddy's birthday, we ordered food to feed our family of, er, 11 is it now? Biryani, goat korma, haleem, saag paneer and oodles of naan and parata. So, 6:30-ish, there we were, grubbin' down and watching mom's novelas when I had a spoonful of haleem by my face and screeched: "Eyw. This smells like baby diaper!" Come around 11pm, the food is being put up when sister number 2 starts gagging and insisting everyone to smell the halleem. "It's bubbling!" Mom smells it and concludes to 1) throw it away 2) everyone is gonna get sick. When I read other reviews with people claiming to have gotten food poisoning from a restaurant, I don't worry about it too much because people consume food all day and there's really no telling which eatery could be at fault. But this was an incident where we had members of our family from different households all coming together for one shared meal from one restaurant ... and everyone gets sick. Even sister number 3, a few months pregnant had to go to the ER just to take precaution.I know things like this can happen (if I were a restaurant owner, this would constantly be on my mind, 'cause you never know. Bacteria can be sneaky little suckers.) My dad ended up calling them, but no reimbursement for $140 dollars was made (He didn't ask. Too modest). I at least hope they help cover those medical bills..."
