"You just have to eat the cronuts!! Croissant meets glazed donut! They're sinful. But their glazed donuts are good too. So far we haven't had anything we don't like. Good kolaches too!"

"As a newbie in the area, I've been eyeing news places to try and check out. On my commute to work, I noticed this Donut shop every morning and didn't see any cars for a consistent number of days. I feel for small business owners, especially during the pandemic, so I decided to stop on a whim and patronize the business. There are two entryways into the business. One bypasses a little eating area; the other goes directly to the counter. There was only one person present behind the counter when I arrived, but it seems that soon as I stopped, others stopped in too! That made my heart happy to see others giving this business some foot traffic! Prices for items are comparable to the chain donut places, if not cheaper (I really don't go to donut shops regularly, so I can't say by how much), but I will say the breakfast sandwiches are ginormous! I could see slices of bacon falling out the sandwiches. However, this particular day I wanted donut holes and coffee. Even after arriving to work and heating up the donut holes, they tasted fresh. I liked that they were not cakes with icing and the icing wasn't too sweet beyond consumption. A great gem in the Pearlnd area for you to enjoy if you're in the area."
"This is truly a family-owned and operated cafe and bakery. Restaurant owner Trinidad is back in the kitchen/bakery; his wife is tending to the tables; and their son and daughter are working the register and greeting guests. It's a small team, but they're working hard. (Oh, and son and daughter are also continuing their education in college while also working at the family biz.). Like I said: Hard working family! Many know La Casa Bakery & Cafe for going twitter viral in 2017 (Google the heartwarming story); others know them for their homemade tortillas and barbacoa breakfast tacos. Me, my family, and our family friends now know them as "the place with the best campechanas!"Mexican campechanas are a puff pastry hailing from the Mexican state of Campeche. (Do not confuse this with Mexican seafood cocktail, also called "campechana.") So the puff pastry campechanas from La Casa are the best in Houston. They're flaky, buttery, glazed with the perfect amount of sweet. And they don't lose their crunch after a few days (if they happen to last that long in my house.) I've placed at least three separate orders to take to family gatherings, and friends and family are always requesting more. "Pick up 20. Pick up 30..." Owner Trinidad has been working in the restaurant and panaderia scene for decades, and these recipes are his own. As for the breakfast plates, you can find plates for less than $5. That's insanely affordable. My last visit, the beau and I each had our own breakfast plates, then shared an order of pancakes for dessert. :)Do add this biz to your list to try. They recently made "Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas" for 2021. Drop in for breakfast, enjoy the Mexican decor and homey vibes, and take home some pastries.Kudos to this biz for adding a hand wash station upon entry! I appreciate this touch of added safety during pandemic dining."
"I was a regular in the late 60's and in 1994. I have not lived in Houston since. I had so many good friends who would meet up there. glad it is still around. there are not too many places that made a nyer feel at home in texas"
"Can't go wrong with the donuts here and some decent kolaches. Really enjoyed the boudin kolache, although the jalapeño ones where not spicy enough imo and the ham/cheese reminded me of the old school Wendy's commercial "Where's the beef" in this case the ham. Though still a good friendly place to try out if you are in the neighborhood."
"Best kolaches around! Get there early or you'll miss out. We hit the drive thru. Got my favorites, pineapple & blue berry. Delicious and worth the extra drive off I-10."
"In the former Flourish bakery and cafe, there rests a new little French pastry and baked goods shop, Paulette. A delicious menu, fresh and hot coffee, the great staff are sure to make this a success. Their prices are similar to Le Madeline, but their options are so much more elegant, refined, and honest. I cannot wait to return."
"Muy bueno! Everything is always fresh and the prices are excellent.Great empanadas--pumpkin, pina y mas. Gingerbread Pigs! And great plain Pan Dulce!Check 'em out!"
"We stopped in for a coffee and were greeted by friendly faces and warm cookies! We will be back, so great to have this in our neighborhood. Make sure you get a few of the Ugly But Delicious cookies to go."
"This place has incredible po-boy buns, hamburger buns, etc. They are very fairly priced and even sell to the public. The interior is nothing at all to look at, as is the exterior. Even so, they have a staff of dedicated folks that consistently churn out a great product. Next time you need hamburger buns or general bread items -- give them a call. They are really nice folks and have a great product."
"TSB is an adorable shop located in the heart of Sugar Land's Town Square Plaza. They always have a great selection and their mochi donuts are almost too pretty to eat! Check them out on Instagram- their custom cakes are absolutely incredible! I love supporting this local business and the wonderful family behind it!"

Simply the best kolaches in Houston and it's not really even a competition. Many different unique flavors and every kolache that I have tried has been delicious but I do wish they had a few more fruit flavors! They use very high quality ingredients and you can literally taste it in every bite. Location is a bit out of the way but in a nice quiet area. Grab some kolaches and enjoy a walk at the many parks in the area. I just wish they were open for more than 3 days a week because I am always craving it!! Owner is very friendly and welcoming.

Very cute, family owned donut and kolache shop! The owners are very sweet and they work hard! They have donuts, kolaches, and croissants for pretty cheap. They will make modifications for you if you can't eat a certain type of meat. I can't eat pork so they make turkey and brisket croissants for me all the time! They're closed on Mondays. They also have a 5 dollar minimum charge for cards. Check them out if you're nearby!

Came here for my Elite Perk and picked up a few extra items on the menu for a friend and myself . Similar to many others, I don't think I would have ever found this place if Yelp hadn't introduced it! My favorite items here were the breakfast taco and the queso pupusa. The breakfast taco was bursting with egg and cactus, so delicious! The flour tortilla was amazing as well and I enjoyed every bite. Pupusa was delightful as well and I would trek all the way back here just to get a few more of these. Wasn't as much a fan of the Pastor Taco as parts were fatty and parts were slightly dry. My friend enjoyed her barbacoa taco though! The churro was good, even better after toasting it in the oven and my friend loved hers too. However, we thought the other baked goods (pineapple empanada, concha) were just average. I would definitely come back for the breakfast tacos and pupusa! Check this place out if you're in the area :)

Kolache lovers rejoice! Largest selection of kolaches I have seen to date. Croissant breakfast sandwiches to die for. Haven't even tried the donuts yet. Parking a little crowded but it is worth it. Everything made on site. Worth a visit.

This review is based entirely on exceptional customer service. I found myself in a bind after driving 35 miles and arriving at the Eagle Lake location to pick up a special order, only to surprisingly find they had closed 20 minutes prior. I called the Hallettsville location and they had one of the two pies that I wanted. It was an additional 37 miles away, and I told the young lady that I could be there right at their 1PM closing time. She said that she would stay open for my arrival. I actually arrived 2 minutes before closing. I was very grateful for their willingness to wait and spent 3X the cost of the pie on other baked items. I also left a generous tip for her trouble. I am sure the baked goods will be delicious!

"JOLLY JOLLY is just that, amazing local business. Ask for Tony- the owner, great guy!! Okay very thing here is suppeeerrrrr fresh! And affordable. The spinach feta rollCranberry cookieOatmeal raisin cookiesPumpkin breadCoconut macaroons (MY FAVORITE)"
"Meh. Not really very clean and staff not very pleasant. Tried a few things. Cookies okay, but blueberry donut was good. We had to stop here to check in for our castle tour. If taking the tour, wait to be on tour before purchasing. It does come with lunch."
"Had a friend send this over via Uber Eats's and every single item was delicious! The feta, beef, chicken, spinach pastries were allll amazing. Can't wait to go here in person and try it out."
"Paco's Mexican Bakery has nestled themselves nicely into the this area for a long time. I have no issues. I give them 4 stars. They're on Veteran's Memorial Dr a few miles south of Beltway 8. I feel they have been consistent for over the last decade. The Same rotation. The Same selection. I see lotsa party cakes being sold. I get my usual comfort items. I've never seen a cashier smile or say hello. Be forewarned they turn and burn. They are handling Covid 19 by requiring masks and keeping clean utensils in rotation as well as spacing. Suggestion:The Bollios make nice sandwiches. With Fresh avocado slices is very popular. A twist on avocado toast. They sell a ton of them, however you like them."
"Picked up a cake last minute and it was delicious. I'm glad I found this bakery close to my house. I will be getting my cakes here from now on."
"Fast friendly service, self tablet order pads, visual of each flavor available. I tried the rice crispy cookie thinking it would be a cookie. Wrong it was completely a rice crispy treat. Even softer like totally ooeey gooey stretchy rice crispy treat. Yeah I could have made that at home. I LOVE crumble but I won't be trying this one again. If you want a cookie don't order this one. Delicious but still it was a rice krispie treat, not a cookie even though it's shaped like one."
"So glad that we have a Milk Mustache location in town now! They have 10 flavors, 6 regular and 4 seasonal. As soon as you walk in it is like you entered cookie heaven - smells amazing and your eyes bulge at the sight of these huge cookies! Some are stuffed with fillings like Nutella or marshmallow while others are all cookie dough. Whichever way you go, they are all delicious. I recommend getting a 4 pack (or more!) to sample a few! Great service, easy parking."
"Love coming here as it is so close to me. This is my go to spot when I'm feeling something sweet. This satisfies my sweet cravings! They have both a medium and large cup options. My fav drinks would be peach yogurt in tea and watermelon yogurt in tea both with 50% sugar and crystal boba! All the staffs here are so nice. Please come by here and let's show this place the love they deserve"
"Good quality cakes and pastries. She charges about 30% lower than everyone else and does a very good jobShe made a wonderful baby shower cake for us. The icing was light, delicious and fluffy. Everyone at the shower loved the cake. And she even made it into the shape of a pregnant belly. So cute!We will order our next cake from here without a doubt"
"Babyyyyyyyy... I went to my friend girl's house for dinner the other night and noticed a box of cupcakes (or at least I thought they were cupcakes) on the counter. After dinner she offered me one and OMG.. that brownie was so good, I almost lost my mind!!! Girlfriend, God knew what He was doing when He put you on this earth, okay!? I've never had anything so delicious in my life, I swear. YOU MUST TRY THE BROWNIES WITH THE PECANS AND CARAMEL DRIZZLED ON TOP!! Yasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!"
"Always a great experience. This location is fast, fresh & great. You can order on these iPads in the wall and in no time your order is processed and ready. Always a great experience here."
"Great sandwiches / full meal with quick service and an array of options! You're lunch will be somewhere between $11-$17 average here depending on how you slice it. Great spot when in a crunch & looking for some quality quick!"
"Vibe- This spot has such a clean dope look and feel! The vibrant orange and blue are so welcoming!! There's plenty of seating outside and inside. Great place to study or get work done. There's outlets all around!Customer service- Great! The barista that took my order was fantastic. I asked her about the coffee shop and she gave me a thorough explanation about the idea behind the coffee shop. I got a chance to actually meet the owner too and she was so sweet :) The owner is into fitness and coffee and so she combined the two! Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha latte with oatmilk and the homemade orange cinnamon syrup on the side to try (the barista recommended it!) I also got a vegan chocolate zucchini muffin that the owner recommended; it was all good!Parking- There's about 15 spots in the lot"
"I had never heard of Michael's Cookie Jar until one of our coworkers brought a box in for one of our managers who was celebrating her birthday this month. She shared her box of goodies with us from her birthday fairy (a tradition where we draw names and guess who decorated our office and gave gifts during our birthday). Some of the cookies in the box were chocolate chunk and double chocolate chunk. I love a good chocolate chip cookie, so I chose that one. Since they use real butter and fresh eggs, it tastes homemade. I loved the large chunks of chocolate because you'll never take a bite or break a piece without chocolate in it. The cookie itself is not too small/large or thin/thick like other cookie establishments. It was the perfect ratio and size. I prefer these over Crumble and Tiny's. There are two locations - West U and downtown at the Pennzoil tower tunnel. They have 12 flavors and sometimes a seasonal one. I want to try their snickerdoodle, toffee pecan, pecan chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia, and peanut butter. Aside from cookies, they also make cookie cakes, walnut brownies, and decorate sugar cookies for special occasions and holidays."
"It's hard finding a place that sells Tea Cakes but this place makes them just like my grandmother. They are soft, and not too sweet. I can never stop at just one. Thankfully I live four hours or I would be tempted to get them on a weekly basis. The only thing I don't like is the price increase. I use to pay $9.00 a dozen but today when I picked up three dozen, the price came to $42.00. I haven't purchased them in over a year. It will probably be another year before I purchase them again. LOLI have tried a few of their cakes and I have never been disappointed. You can also purchase their mini pecan, sweet potato pies or their cake by the slice. FYI- They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Saturdays are super busy so try to get their first thing in the morning."
"Everything I tried was delicious! Amazing service as well. They had 30 empanadas ready for us on short notice."
"First time coming here! Miguel was serving me! He was a very friendly person and kindly explained all the bread they had! I like the vibe and friendly place like that! I would say it's a little high end bakery ($27+ for 4 items I got) but the taste was pretty good! I like the pistachio croissant the most out the bread I had!I don't think I can come visit often but will be there once in awhile! :)Keep up the good work!"
"Cute, clean lil shop. Welcomed in with a smile, lots to choose from. MrM's fav was the lemon cupcake with blueberries inside. I loved the strawberry shortcake. The Tres Leches cup was yummy too!"
"Nice little place to stop it. When you're driving through you can get special little things. The food is okay. The service is okay. The ambiance is great. It's like a huge barn"
"My husband was thrilled to find this place! He grew up in Whittier CA and this bakery had some of the pastries he remembers from when he was a kid. The gal at the counter let us sample a couple - one with pineapple, the other with cream cheese. Then we saw that they make their own tamales so guess what we're having for dinner tonight? Great find, highly recommend!"
"DID SOMEONE SAY PEPPERONI PIZZA KOLACHE???Great little Kolache spot! Stopped here to buy my grandson some breakfast before dropping him off to school. I checked in on Yelp and received a free donut and boy was my grandson happy about that, lol! He ordered a plain beef Kolache with no cheese as if he knew what he was doing. I asked him "how do you know what you want right away? You haven't looked at all the other choices." He said, "Pawpaw brings me here for breakfast sometimes before taking me to school." I was like, "ohhh I see!" Originally, I was only here for my grandson until I scanned the array of Kolache sandwiches behind the counter and I was like, "Whoah! I think I want a Kolache too!" I'm not a breakfast person during the week so this was an extremely tempting situation for me, and one that I could not resist! I succumbed to the rich buttery aroma that was hovering in the atmosphere! I was so lost as I attempted to choose just one Kolache. This task proved to be a difficult one. In the end, I settled for a plain beef Kolache with no cheese because my grandson says that it's great! He was correct! I enjoyed it a little too much. Instead of eating it, I scarfed it down as if I was starving, lol. However, I was able to taste the rich robust and sweet buttery flavor of the croissant which tasted really great with the flavor of the beef sausage. What a great mixture of infused flavors! Next time, and yes there's definitely going to be a next-time, I'm going to try a different Kolache. Maybe, I'll try the brisket Kolache, or maybe the boudin Kolache, or maybe the Philly Cheesesteak Kolache, or maybe the cheeseburger Kolache, or maybe the Chicken Feta Cheese Kolache, or maybe the PEPPERONI PIZZA KOLACHE! Didn't I tell ya? It's no easy task when it should be, lol. There's an extensive selection which makes it difficult but it's worth it! Overall, this establishment is really nice! They are open as early as 6:00 am during the week and it seems like it can get pretty busy as there was a slight line when my son and I arrived around 6:30 am. Customer service is good. It's not anything special to brag about but it's good. Highly recommended!"
"I don't frequent panaderias so have little reference point to my review, but we stumbled in this place last night after eating dinner in the same strip mall. They had so many customers pretty late in the evening and when we walked in, the smell of the bakery was intoxicating and they still had a large variety of baked goods available. We tried three different pastries and my favorite was an egg custard pastry that looked a little like a yellow croissant with sesame seeds on top. So moist and flavorful! The price is very affordable and all the pastries looked fresh and authentic. Definitely recommend trying this place out!!"
