"This place is amazing. Food was so flavorful. It was crowded and they were short staffed but it was worth the wait. We had the best time and I'll definitely be back. Best in town!"
"I rarely review for takeout/delivery (UberEats in this case) because I'm not getting the full experience. However, the sushi was tasty! Let's get into the deets:Sunomono Salad w/ Shrimp- Very light and refreshing. Minor complaint: the cucumber was unevenly sliced. Some were paper thin, some were thick. Baked Scallop Roll- Still warm when I received it. I enjoyed the spicy kick. Loved that they didn't skimp on the scallops.Foie Gras & Scallop Sushi- This was THEE star of the order! Divine richness melting in your mouth... MMmmM. If it wasn't 7.95 per piece (UberEats listed price), I'd order much more. Life's too short to eat basic weekday dinner!! Lol. Now I definitely have to stop in and get the real deal dining experience. Can't wait!"

"Why 4 stars? Because everything teetered right on the edge of great. --- --- ---So much of what we experienced here was good, but just slightly missed the mark of causing me to exhibit poor manners in the form of mumbling OMG with a mouth full of food involuntarily because I couldn't help but acknowledge the greatness. We started off with the Monkey Brains appetizer. I think it was fine, but wouldn't need to order it again. It was essentially a sushi roll that was very avocado heavy. 3.5 stars. My wife ordered the "Sushi A" lunch, which consisted of 5 piece of chef's choice nigiri and one roll, and we chose the Spider Roll. The Spider Roll is normally a pretty safe choice, but tbh, we did not love it. There was a lot of daikon in it and I prefer these without the soy paper. As for the Spider Roll itself, I would give it maybe 2.5 stars. And most of the Nigiri was fine: 4-stars. BUT, one piece was one of the best I have ever had. I actually ordered a second piece because I was so blown away: the Super White Fish (Escolar) was unbelievable. It tasted like butter fish at Roy's, but in nigiri form. 5 stars is not giving it enough credit. We ordered two other rolls: The Temptation and the Lion King. We enjoyed both, but again, they were just one note shy of amazing. 4.5 stars. Also, shoutout to the kids chicken teriyaki meal. I was snacking off of that myself and really enjoyed it. Even the fries were high quality. 5 stars for a kids meal.We walked in exactly the minute that they opened on a Saturday, so we were the only ones in here for a bit, but the service was prompt and friendly the entire time.We don't live in the area, and there's a lot of competition nearby when it comes to sushi, but this is definitely not a bad option!"
"Always good to support a local woman owned business that's just getting started. Located in Midtown's food hall, Stush Caribbean Fusion offers a nice blend of different types of food known to the Caribbean island. Why the menu isn't exhaustive, there are some great options to check out. I got the jerk shrimp fried rice and enjoyed it plenty."
"Highly recommended! We went after morning church mass on Sunday. Great food but amazing cocktails. The carajillo is one of my top two favorites I've had (and I've had a lot). The matcha cocktail is also by far the best we've ever had. Great flavor. Food was good. The rolls were not bad. We had hair in the uni pasta but they took care of it for us and provided complimentary desert. Great staff/cooks that cares of the customers. Ambiance is also very woody and beautiful. We plan to be back!"
"Soto was a gem of a find for me and will become my go to sushi restaurant in Houston. I was in the midtown area and was advised by a friend to check it out so we got here at around 8:30 on a Wednesday. The parking lot is small and they do have valet but they work for tips so that wasn't too bad. We walked in, got seated immediately in the back corner (at my request). The restaurant had lambent lighting which was perfect and the atmosphere was just right. Our waiter came over and provided us with a vegan/vegetarian menu. We got several bites for the table such as the lightly Battered Served w/Tentsuyu and vegetable tempura as an appetizer, Chili Yasai and Kinoko Truffle for our rolls. Everything was fresh and came out relatively timely with the exception of the Chili Yasai. That took a while to come to the table. Everything was good, and the desserts topped it off for me. The passionfruit tart is a must have!!! I enjoyed the experience and our waiter was excellent. Shoutout to him for also pronouncing my last name right upon first try :)"
"Overall enjoyed coming here! It feels like a speakeasy since it's hidden in a hotel and it looks like a completely different vibe inside the restaurant. The ambiance and decor is beautiful! The service was also attentive, friendly and good. The food was tasty as well. We ordered an assortment of food, including various nigiri, apps like chicken wings and tuna with truffle, and shrimp with xo sauce and hand pulled noodles. All were delicious! Keep in mind that it is valet but the restaurant validated parking!"
"Came here on a Thursday evening and did a walk-in/was seated right away at the bar. Located inside of Bravery Chef Hall and easy to spot!Greeted by the manager Ricardo with a friendly smile and the staff Maddie and Mike provided great hospitality throughout the meal. For two people we ordered quite a bit just to try everything.Chicken Fat Rice + Fried EggBluefin Chutoro NigiriSaketoro Aburi (must get/melt in your mouth)Unagi NigiriKinoko NigiriHotate FoieLoup De Mer NigiriHamachi NigiriShima Aji NigiriManagatsuo NigiriButa Kashria (aka Pork Jowl on a skewer/another MUST GET item, loved the garlic and beautifully seared)KaraageFoie Gras Nigiri (MUST GET)Wagyu ToastNegitoro MakiBGB Sake Crudo (a staple for crudo/thick pieces of salmon and great marinate)Hokkaido Uni The quality of all of the fishes were great and seasoned nicely. You can tell it was pretty fresh! I wasn't super full, but pretty content. My favorite things were the Buta Kashira and the Foie Gras Nigiri. It is reasonably priced especially being the location in downtown Houston. Parking - Street Parking and free after 7pm on weekdays"
"My favorite sushi place in the area. I stop here for lunch regularly. David is my favorite sushi chef and a friendly owner."
"Hey there. Are you always looking for a good sushi spot that's close to home? Look no more. Sugarland has some amazing options for sushi such as keepers, and japaneiros. Umami by far is probably my favorite in the burbs. So good. Always hits the spot. Only thing is it's slightly more expensive then these other options but honestly it's worth it when you realize the quality of that fish is damn good. What we got- - Tuna Crispy rice- 10/10. Came with some yummy sauces on the side such as spicy mayo and eel sauce. They are not stingy on the sauces at all which makes it amazing, - King Salmon Sashimi- 10/10. Melted in my mouth. Was delicious. Didn't want it to finish but my husband ate it all. Only call it is it's 16$ for only 4 pieces :(- Angry Dragon Roll- 8/10. Mine kept falling apart as I ate it but the flavors were amazing and the fish was so fresh - Candy cane roll- 9/10 really yummy. Again fish was so fresh. All in all- everything was so good. Always a great option!"
"Katami is located where Vincent's used to be. The interior has been completely transformed to an upscale sushi restaurant. We ordered a few rolls and a drink each for the evening. Initially we had opted for two rolls and the foie gras roll but the lobster roll was calling our name so we had to get that as well. We ended up sitting at the sushi bar because watching sushi being prepared is an experience in itself. There is a separate bar area that seems to be for cocktails. So if you are more into watching those being thrown back then that might be more your vibe.It felt slightly fast paced because we were in an out within an hour. I really liked all the rolls but I found the Southern Smoke to be a little bit on the pricier side and I did not like that it was cut into 5 instead of an even portion. Being that everything is slightly pricier and elegant, I just felt that they could have presented it slightly differently. Overall, our service was pleasant as was the whole dining experience. Would definitely come back again to try more rolls."

Delicious! I always love a good Japanese steak house and Kobe did not disappoint. Chicken flavorful, the shrimp tasty and the fried rice is outstanding. The service was very pleasant with a touch of humor too. I will go anytime I'm in the area.

Tried the ramen, vegetable fried rice and banana tempura dessert. A great meal overall! The staff was very friendly and it was pretty quiet but filled up as the evening went by.They gave me the happy hour menu which I was surprised by since it was Saturday. I didn't have a taste for sushi or any of the appetizers, but you can't beat $4 sushi, so I will be back! The ramen was pretty good! It came out super hot but it was delicious. Got a little salty but overall it was delicious. My favorite was actually the vegetable fried rice. Probably one of the best I've had in houston so far! It had broccoli, carrots, onions, egg and zucchini. Also, the picture doesn't do it justice but it's a huge portion! Since it's in the shape of a bowl, it keeps it's heat so it stayed hotter longer.I decided to top it off with the banana tempura. Beautiful presentation! And the bananas and ice cream was delicious. This was a great choice for dinner.

The food at this place is mind blowing. It was highly recommended by a sushi lover. Every item we tried was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We even topped it off with some mochi! The ambiance is nice but the place is small, so for larger parties I'd call ahead. Service was great but a tad bit slow - either they need to hire more servers or someone may have called in sick. Will definitely be coming back.

Stop what you are doing and head to Stush quick!!! I ordered the oxtail pasta. You guys IT WASSSSS AMAZINGGGGG!!! I saved some for my hubby to eat and he stopped in his tracks and looked at me and was like this is fire. The service at the conservatory is easy. They will text you when your food is ready to pick up. The food was hot and came out quick. The conservatory is a cool vibe where can work and try different kinds of food. But y'all don't understand the oxtail pasta was so good I had to call the owner myself just to tell her how amazing her food is. She cooks with lots of flavor and from her soul. I wish I took a pic but didn't bc I tore that food up.

The interior was beautiful and moody. The service was amazing and everyone was really nice. The food, though, was slightly disappointing for the price. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. The best thing I had was definitely the uni from their signature hand roll tasting. The sushi rolls tasted regular. The tartar was bland and kinda fishy. I will say, their cocktails are really good. I'm usually pretty picky with drinks, but my friends and I enjoyed the drinks a lot.

Wow. Just wow. Absolutely stunning. I have to say this has to be one of the top dining experiences I've had in Houston...and I'm a native Houstonian. Big thanks to Zain R. for giving me this recommendation for a date night. Our reservation was for 7:30pm on a Saturday night. While other sushi restaurants inside the loop were completely booked weeks in advance, Soto surprisingly had an open schedule and this makes me think they fly under the radar, because this was surely a gem.I'm generally not a fan of valet parking but this place has complimentary valet that was quick and seamless. Given that it's right off Westheimer near the Montrose area, this is to be expected.I ordered us the regular omakase experience, which is 18 courses for $150 per person. They also have a premium omakase for $250 per person, but the regular was excellent for us omakase first-timers. Upon Zain's recommendation, we sat at the sushi bar, which was totally the right call. The chefs interacted with us and chatted it up as they prepared our courses. As we watched them prepare some of the dishes, we'd nosily ask what they were making and the chefs happily explained the dishes and even some background too. Shoutout to the head chef, Chef Moto, for being so cool and making our experience so great! And the chef di-rectly in front of us, Chef Ben, was really fun and being in his early 20's, mastered the art of sushi. The regular omakase featured a wide variety of dishes, from sushi to wagyu steak to tempura. Some of their signature dishes were included on this, like the salmon over fire, lobster tempura pops, and chocolate foie gras. My favorite of the omakase was the salmon over fire - basically raw salmon filets placed over a mini spit for cooking atop a plated fire! Super unique and a fabulous presentation, definitely went on my Instagram. In addition to the omakase, we ordered a few extra dishes off the menu - because it was a popular daily special, chef's recommendation, or we were tempted seeing it at a nearby table. Among these were the nodoguro nigiri, ikura guncan, and toro yukke. The ikura guncan is salmon roe topped with salmon - the salmon roe reminded me of popping boba. The toro yukke was a salmon tartare - very similar to French beef tartare, but salmon, and topped with an egg yolk. This one was the true winner of the night out of all the dishes I tried. The flavors were so complex and took my tastebuds through so many profiles - salty, savory, and hint of sweetness. Just wow. Our server Cindy was excellent from start to finish. She attended to us from the time we sat down, bringing us hot hand towels, to the time we left, constantly coming by and checking on us, refilling our wine and making sure we were content. She thoroughly explained every dish she brought out to us, and was knowledgeable about some of the dishes we saw at other tables and were curious to know more about. While refilling my water at one point, Cindy accidentally over poured, but was super apologetic for the mess and made it up to us with Japanese whiskey shots. With this kind of treat, I almost wished she spilled more water! For drinks, we ordered a bottle of Loveblock sauvignon blanc. While looking through the wine menu, we were conflicted between the Loveblock or the Duckhorn sauv blancs. Cindy offered to bring us a sample of each, which I totally did not expect. But it definitely helped us decide on the Loveblock, which was the lighter of the two and we thought would pair better with the sushi, which it totally did. Additional extra touches we totally did not expect. I indicated on the OpenTable reservation that we were here for a date night. After all of our courses? They brought out a cake birthday dessert for us - not sure if it had anything to do with the reservation, or if they were just being totally nice. The owner, Chef Andy, also came out to the counter later and chatted it up with us. He was super knowledgeable but humble - I never would've guessed he was the el jefe around here! After talking to us, he offered us another Japanese whiskey shot, which he took with us too. And upon my partner mentioning he likes gin, Chef Andy brought around a Japanese gin that he poured a sample of. Free shots - what a vibe!Again, just wow. This was over a week ago and we are both still left awestruck from this experience. I'm hooked on omakase now - knowing how great of an experience we had here at Soto, I just want to keep coming back since I know the menu changes, but also know that Houston has so much more to offer in the omakase world. It will be a tough call for next time whether we want to come back or branch out. But one thing I know for sure is that we'll be back sooner than later because their happy hour menu looks awesome. Thank you to Chefs Moto, Ben, and Andy for an unbeatable date night experience we are still talking about today!

Dined in on a Saturday at 6:45 pm for a party of two and was seated immediately by the sushi bar. It's a very dark restaurant, not much lighting, needs more decorations. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The chefs know what they are doing! We ordered:Hamachi crudo: hamachi melted in our mouths, and the blueberries on top was a nice touch versus jalapeño slices! Crispy temaki salmon tartare: least favorite dish, beds more umamiCrispy truffle puff: very soft mochi balls! The truffle flavor could have been strongerChicken wing mochi karaage: this was so good, presentation could be better, it comes in a brown togo box, a nice round hybrid bowl plate could work betterOtoro: buttery goodness and it was on top of ice so it was super chilled Unagi: kind of dry but good flavorsNaruto: itty bitty four pieces of goodnessXO hand pulled noodles: our favorite dish! Noodles were so soft and chewy!Chilean sea bass: very good flavorsGarlic butter shoyo fried rice: the best garlic rice we've had!Coconut sago: needs more sweetness, and it was a tad too thickChocolate and salted caramel cake: the cake was very dry

"Location just opened 11/9/22. Juicy seafood replaced Cafe East, located at the corner of Hwy6 and Dulles. The set up is practically the same. The pricing is pretty fair for the options. Came early on a Saturday Evening and wasn't busy at all. Started to do up the dinner crowd about 630-7pm when we left. They still have that private back room with a large screen. Looked like it was being used for karaoke at one point. Here's a rundown of what I can recall from what was served on our Saturday dinner:Seafood options:- Baked Mussels - Steamed Clams- Shrimp prepared in multiple ways [black pepper, fried, buttered shrimp, popcorn shrimp]. Only thing missing was cocktail shrimp. - Fried prawns - Fried Fish- Crawfish with a mix of shrimp and Mussels - Soft shell crab- Steamed fish- Vermicelli and Scallops [my favorite]- Fried squid Other hot bar items: typical of a Chinese buffet- Lo Mein- Fried Rice- Beef and Broccoli- Sautéed chicken- Chinese Egg roll- Fried Chicken- Potato Wedges- Fried Corn poppers- Fried Sweet Bread [kids were a fan]- Texas Toast- Crab Rangoon- Steamed veggiesDim Sum Bar- Chicken Feet- Banh bao [BBQ pork bun]- Steamed Pork Ribs - Sticky Rice in Banana Leaf- Chinese BroccoliSoups- Seafood Soup (same texture of the crab Maw Soup)- Hot and Sour SoupSushi Bar- Various Rolls: mostly traditional - Sashimi: Salmon, Yellowtail- Sushi: Eel, Tuna- Edemame - Seaweed SaladSalad/ fruit Bar- Lettuce, dressings [ranch and Italian]- Random toppings: cheese, raisins, bacon, egg, and I think chicken cubes(?)- Kim Chi- Tomato, Cucumber, Red onion vinaigrette saladDessert- Chocolate Cake- Strawberry pudding- Jello- Fruits: oranges and honey dew. Also had pineapple and peaches but definitely came from a can.- Individualized Ice cream cups: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry sundae, Chocolate sundaeWhen we walked in, the hostess wasn't very welcoming. I don't think she even said anything to us. I just asked if we needed to check in with her or just seat ourselves. She just nodded and I told her our party. She sat us in a booth. The chairs felt new as they were quite firm. The hostess also asked what we'd like to drink without really informing us of any options so I just defaulted to sweet tea and waters. Btw, the water tastes straight up unfiltered tap. We made sure our kids drank from their water we brought from home. Our waitress was attentive to clean off used and finished plates. She even checked if I wanted a refill on my drink.Overall pretty decent and my kids enjoyed the options. I remember my parents taking us to Cafe East often with other family when I was young. Not many, if any, Chinese buffet options in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area so I'm sure it will do just fine. Nothing crazy spectacular about the place. Just the typical Asian buffet. Some suggestions I hope they would consider is to have extra silverware or utensils for guests to grab if desired. There were no Soup spoons readily available. Also would have liked to get new utensils at times without hunting down the wait staff. There wasn't any plain white rice available that I noticed. I did note a little concern that seafood can get messy and eating with your hands. Seeing other guests dig into their crawfish, crab, and peeling shrimp then licking their fingers. I was just thinking how people would return to the bar with filthy or not properly cleaned hands and touching the shared tongs to get more food. So I'd recommend to bring your own hand sanitizer or wipes. Or they could provide wipes at the table. Or providing gloves we can use to eat our seafood.Though they just opened, I do hope they add to their offerings of something unique. Probably more dependent on the season but like having dungeons crab or lobster (crab legs when available). Even if it's only 1 per person in the price. On our exit, another guest entering did ask how it was and if we'd return. We did happily say yes."
"Very reasonably priced poké here, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite spot. However, I have always had great service, which is a huge plus! The shop is clean and well-kept. Great place to come if you're in a pinch! I had a large 5 scoop protein: half and half base with yellowtail, scallop and tuna. Poke mates: tofu, edamame, cucumber and green onion. Sauce: house ponzu, sides: seaweed salad and oshinko. I will say that they are VERY generous with their poke mates and toppings, too!"
"Despite the cramped seating, limited parking, and prices at the time (#1), I managed to come away loving the experience because the food was good and the service was beyond excellent. The latter is all the reason I plan on putting Taizzi Katy on my list of AYCE sushi go-tos.It's not much to look at. The interior is a bit on the smaller side and can probably comfortably fit 20 people. Whether it's the small'ish group tables in the front or the smaller 2 tops in the back, it can feel somewhat cramped. There are also seats by the bar, but given all the items I tend to order, the table is best. The menu is so rich with options that it's a fun adventure just choosing things from the menu. I appreciate that they've labeled each of their items based on whether it's raw, spicy, and even if it will take extra time. Coupled by the fact it's a picture menu, along with the "preferred cut" for sushi and sashimi of thin / medium / thick is unheard of to me. Even the rolls have a breakdown of the interior, exterior, and whether or not there is sauce on each one. I'm so impressed. There's been so many rolls (#2) that only a handful (#3) truly stand out. I loved the::: Elvin (shrimp, tempura, crab, cucumber, topped with salmon, tuna):: Final Destination (soft shell crab, spicy crab, asparagus, topped with tuna and salmon) :: SpamHolic (spam, eel sauce):: Mistake (mixed fish with spicy mayo, eel sauce):: SalmonAss (salmon, crabmeat, cream cheese, avocado, topped with salmon with spicy mayo, eel sauce)I was also a fan of my nigiri and thought my favorite pieces were the fatty salmon, yellowtail, salmon egg, and scallop. For all sashimi, I prefer the thick cut and love ordering a bunch at once. The fish isn't going to be mind blowing quality wise, but for an AYCE spot, it is definitely a big thumbs up.There's a lot to appreciate with their hot foods as well. I think their sushi towers are fun on the food porn front and the grilled collars (yellowtail, salmon) are fabulous. No one talks about their "monkey brains" or baked mussels enough, so I recommend it all for any one who wants something cooked. It's also important to note that soda is included with the AYCE deal.Service wise, they hit it out of the park. Our waitress was attentive, polite, and went out of her way to ensure they subbed right items for allergies at our table. She was also accommodating my party every step of the way. At the end she didn't hassle us to leave, but was so kind from start to finish. I know Taizzi takes their customer service seriously and for that I'm extremely grateful. I can't wait for my next visit.___________(#1) During my first time here, it was three different levels of pricing, which became sort of confusing. It's now just a straight $36 for everything.(#2) I'll never remember all of their names(#3) Unintentional pun"
"Spicy edamame, is spicy with lots of spicy yummy flavors. I had three hand rolls. AlaskaSpicy mango shrimpCrunch- my favorite !"
"Our intended restaurant was closed and this was nearby, so we rolled in to give it a shot. The menu was diverse and included udon, ramen, sushi and sashimi. Service was a little slow and the udon soup left my son a little uneasy. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the udon noodles with beef was decent."
"I visited here on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at 120pm. Yoshi was empty. It seemed that they were done with busy lunchtime. I ordered a sushi lunch with miso soup. The Miso soup was okay. Regarding sushi, to my surprise, it was excellent. I wanna write improvements. The chef constantly touched his mobile phone before cooking. I was not sure if he washed his hands. there were a lot of germs on the cell phone. Hope he washed his hands. When the chef or server uses the phone, please hide and use it.Overall, it was a small mom-and-pop restaurant, but i gave 5 stars."
"AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Crab puffs were hot and crispy with a good amount of filling. Lo mein was not made table side, but it was very good. All four of us ordered hibachi meals that came with soup, salad, two shrimp and fried rice all made table side. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. We would definitely go back. Such a fun place to celebrate a birthday."
"It has been awhile since I've eaten inside Komeya, I usually order it on DoorDash for pick up. And I was always pleased with the quality of the packaging and the food. Today we decided to dine there. It's a small place but not crowded. The decor is fun and authentic. Our server was so nice and helpful when ordering. Tonight we came for the sushi/ sashimi and rolls. My son ordered ramen as well which he really enjoys. The food also came quickly.I have to say we were not disappointed. The sushi pieces were delicious, quality fish and the slices were generous. Same goes for the sashimi , the salmon , ocean trout, yellow tail were our favorites for sashimi and sushi but they have many selections to choose from.My husband loves the California rolls and the shaggy dog. The Texas roll was yummy as well. We will definitely be back . If you live in the area definitely come and give it a try for ramen and sushi ."
"Go read the 2 star review - she actually liked everything about this restaurant. My husband and I came for a late lunch in a Saturday - no one here - parking was tight, but you can do it! Super cute restaurant and very nice service. The food came out quickly - of course we were the only ones there. She warned us the dumplings and spring rolls were hot - and they were! We also shared a spider roll - had some crab stick in it too - yum. Then I had the pink lady roll and my husband had the iSushi roll. Everything was delish and fresh. We ended with some salmon and eel nigiri. Nice sized portions."
"What a cute and chill place! My husband has just been introduced to yellow curry and he wants it all the time. Our usual spot was closed and we found this location on YELP! Yay!Upon arrival, it was not busy at all!! There was only one other couple there with us. We were greeted by the sweetest server who has just started the job! She was so kind and I immediately knew that this was going to be my new favorite place!! I enjoyed my Pad Kee Mao and my husband decided to have chicken and broccoli. Both dishes were great! I'm sure we will be back soon!"
"Came back for dinner, food and service was still good. The sashimi cut are generous portions. We actually like better than lunch menu. It's $31.99 for dinner so it's more for lunch prices but the choices are way better."
"I had lunch with a colleague this week at The Fish and really enjoyed it! I looked for sushi specials near downtown, found way more than I bargained for, and somehow narrowed down to come here. The drive was short, I found some cheap metered parking across the street, and always enjoy the vibe of this part of town- streets were clean, more trees than downtown, and overall seems less hectic.Anyways, the menu was super extensive, I settled pretty quickly on the sashimi special which was fantastic with nice thick cuts of chef's choice fish. I also got the midtown specialty roll which was just absolutely exquisite. I mean the bite was a bit tall so I had to lay down the fried (lotus?) but it was just such a delight of flavors and textures! The preceding house salad was a nice appetizer, definitely tasty, the choice of cheese (Parmesan I think) was surprising but complemented it well.Overall I really enjoyed the lunch, would have been a reasonable price if I stuck to just the lunch special, but that midtown roll was truly delightful and honestly quite filling even by itself. The waiter was great, he was prompt, provided great suggestions, granted the restaurant wasn't terribly busy when we went but I still felt he had a great balance of tending to our needs and leaving us aloneI would definitely come back again for lunch, but I don't know that I'd make the drive all the way for this meal from my part of town (granted it isn't super close!)"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Tracy is spectacular! The food and service were exceptional! This was our second day in a row and we absolutely loved it! Fresh fish, excellent service and just a wonderful time. Annie and Tracy (and Tracy's sister) were great! I'm visiting from out of town and love coming here. Can't wait to be back! Thanks Akashi!"
"I had to check it out after reading the numerous of positive reviews. Went in on a Friday night and was sat immediately. The place is on the smaller side but very intimate. The food presentation was wonderful and the service was great. It will be one of my new go to sushi spots. Conveniently located in a shopping center place. Edamame is also on the house!"
"Amazing sushi rolls and friendly wait staff. Been here several times and haven't been disappointed yet. I have several favorites, but have to push myself to try new dishes. Looking forward to my next visit.Highly recommend."
"I ordered through uber eats and unfortunately the Uber driver stole my food. After a very long & irritating conversation with Uber I finally was refunded & called the restaurant myself. The very nice gentleman asked if I wanted him to remake my order that had been stolen. Yes of course, I was so excited to try this new restaurant. Everything was perfect. Restaurant was clean & very nice looking. Everyone there was so nice & they even gave me 30% off for my Uber troubles. I will absolutely be back not only to support such nice people who own a restaurant but to get more delicious food. Thank you Uma!"
"Love this place. Have been here off and on for years. My wife and I lived just down the road for a couple years so this became our go-to sushi place. At the time, we didn't come here necessary because it was the best sushi in town but because of proximity, taste/quality, variety and cost.I stopped by here again on my way out of Houston. So happy I did. It's as good, if not better, than what I remember. I love this place.I think one of my favorite things is the variety. At any other place I typically get one of the specialty type rolls (ie: the expensive ones) and then one of the regular rolls. I end up spending $25 - $30. Here I get half a dozen different type of rolls/dishes and spend the same or maybe a little less, depending what I choose.Their sushi is actually really good though. Fresh. Tasty. Lot's of different things running on the belt. Don't see something you want, you can also order. Wish I had one of these in Austin..."
"our server was awesome, the restaurant is clean and the sushi was fast and delicious! The fish was a perfect temperature to actually taste the fish! Great job and love it here!!"
"We went for lunch The staff were friendly, and made some great recommendations. Great service. Clean location. The sushi was very, very good."
"Menu offers good variety, with Chinese and Japanese elements in addition to Thai cuisine. Dishes are simple & "basic," but tasty & fresh. Ordered delivery, and everything was packaged well with clean presentation. We especially enjoyed the fried rice & Pad Thai noodles... Would order again."
"A hop skip and a jump from the Woodlands Mall, it's easy to relax into this peacefully decorated spot. It's more than the relaxing soundtrack, and quiet patrons, it's moreso the spaciousness, inviting service, stress free parking (bonus of a suburban restaurant), and the prospect of authentic cuisine in the area that's not categorized as "American" or "Modern American" (ie every popular Woodlands restaurant). On our visit, I was unfortunately distracted from my zen bubble as soon as our food arrived. Although the food was presented beautifully, myself and my guest immediately noticed the tables (ours included) sat too far away from the booth seats for comfort. I get it- usually this is a minor thing, but the distance was pretty drastic, so much so that it made eating a chore. I'm not sure if this is every diners experience (being that I'm 4'11" with the arm span of someone my stature), but is imagine it effects a majority of diners, and while I love a good workout, it's not exactly my idea of a relaxing meal.Other than that, the meal was fine, the curry was comforting, but I'm still in search of a Thai Food joint that will knock my socks off. All is forgiven with amazing food! As always, I plan to give them another try in the future. I'll select a different dish and maybe a table instead of a booth. :)"
"I was actually pleasantly surprised by the place. Where it's located it doesn't look like it'd be really nice on the inside, but it really is. I went there for lunch with a group from work for someone birthday one day. There was about 10 of us there. The restaurant isn't very big on the inside, but they do have a few long tables that will seat a larger party. They have some pretty good lunch specials. I got the one with one sushi roll and the ramen.California Roll - I got mine with soy paper ($1 extra) - It was pretty good for a California roll. I usually rate a sushi place on how well they can do a California roll. They pass for sure.Ramen - The broth was really good. Probably some of the best that I've had in Houston. Everything in the ramen tasted fresh and was well prepared.I was happy that they had soy paper, and was ok with paying extra for it. And knowing that the California roll tasted fresh and was well prepared, I'll be back to try the other sushi too. I'll also be going back for that ramen."
"We requested Andy to be our server again, and as always he was amazing. We received top tier service, and will continue to request him as our server as long as he works here. The food was delicious. Fish was fresh and high quality, and the hot dishes hit the spot. Everything was great except for the Foie Gras. Instead of being paired with a berry compote, it was served on toast with peanut butter and oh man... talk about about let down. The consistency of the peanut butter ruins it, and there's nothing to cut the heaviness of the Foie Gras and the PB. I had bragged to my family that it was the most delicious dish on the menu, and after we tried it I received side-eye. Quite frankly, I was devastated. I grieve the loss of the star dish I had many times before. I hope that the seasonal pairings get better next time."
