"This place is amazing. Food was so flavorful. It was crowded and they were short staffed but it was worth the wait. We had the best time and I'll definitely be back. Best in town!"

"We came on a weeknight for an early birthday dinner. TR was able to accommodate our party of 7 with an additional high chair for my baby nephew. I liked the booth seating here for a more private experience. Shoutout goes to our waiter, Erick, who provided such great customer service to our table. He checked up on us often and refilled our bread and drinks. He also communicated with us when our entrees would be arriving. He did this all with enthusiasm and a smile. So, my family and I definitely appreciated this. Thank you, Erick! As for our food, they were all good. I think the only outlier was the bbq chicken my SIL ordered. The chicken itself was dry and the sauce too sweet. Otherwise, here's a breakdown of the other items on their menu: Complimentary bread (5/5): I love these dinner rolls. Just their glistening appearance when they arrived to our table was beautiful. The rolls were soft and delicious. They were sooo good with their cinnamon whipped butter. I had to eat two of them, at least. Well, I didn't have to, but I wanted to. Lol. Frozen margarita (4/5): I forgot to take a picture. But, I really enjoyed my margarita drink. It had an ample amount of salt on the rim and the cup was huge. This is not different from other margaritas I've had. But, it was delicious and gave me just the right amount of buzz. Safe to say, I drank all of it. Lol. Blooming cactus (4/5): Everyone enjoyed this appetizer. We thought the onion was cooked well and the batter not too heavy. It was a bit salty, though. But, it was still good. My lil bro said this was better than the blooming onion at Outback Steakhouse.Chili (4/5): I really enjoyed this chili with onions and cheese. I think it tasted bean-less, which I preferred. This reminded me a lot of the Zippy's chili in Hawaii from my childhood. I would recommend this as one of the sides that come with the steak entree.Loaded baked potato (4/5): Yummy. Normally, I don't really like sour cream. But, in this potato, it was yummy mixed in with the cheese and bacon. This was definitely worth the additional charge as a side that came along with my steak. FYI - You get two sides with the steak entree. Forth Worth Ribeye (14 oz) (4/5): I've had this steak before at another TR and loved it. So, of course I'd order it again. My family all ordered the same steak too. Lol. It was cooked to medium rare and had that beautiful charbroiled flavor. I did add sautéed mushrooms and onions to my steak this time around, which was delicious. But, I found it did make my steak a bit saltier than I'd like. Next time, I think I'll just order my steak sans the mushrooms/onions. Overall, my family and I had a great food and customer service experience at this TR location. We will be back. Come check them out as well."
"What a friendly and welcoming space. The atmosphere is very basic and open, no frills like a beer hall. We came on margarita day ($3) and I had the shrimp and oyster special. It consisted of 6 shrimp with 6 oysters fried golden brown ( you can request grilled), fries hush puppies and slaw. Loud but I was able to easily make conversation with the people next to me. The waitress was very accommodating, efficient and helpful. Burgers are very good as well as the crawfish étouffée. I will be back to review the pork chops and steak that looked delicious."
"Willie G's Seafood served a delicious lunch on a beautiful day in Galveston. After spending the morning at Featherfest, I joined my mother in law for a late lunch. It's been years since I last ate here, so I wanted to enjoy a couples dishes. I had the Shrimp and Crab salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The shrimp were large and the dressing was lightly drizzled, which is what I prefer. If you like more dressing, you may want to ask for extra on the side. The shrimp were also dipped in a delicious sauce. I also had the Lobster Bisque. The Lobster Bisque was light and complimented the salad very well. My mother in law has the Crawfish Etouffee. It was a large portion, so she was able to take home leftovers. The service was prompt and friendly. As always, the restaurant was very clean and had great views of the pier."
"Bungalow was a great experience. It is located downtown on Main St so packing would have to be on a offsite parking lot located around the corner at the back of their building. We arrived on time for our reservation and it took 30 minutes for us to be seated. You were told if you arrived more than 15 minutes late you would lose your reservation. Why weren't we seated in that time frame?Once seated, we ordered our appetizer which was the Seafood Dip. This was excellent! We could have ordered 2 and had them for our main course. e also had two drinks which one was a BOF and cant remember the other but my wife enjoyed it.Next for our entrees we ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the Grilled Pork Chop with Asparagus and Mac and Cheese sides. All were excellent. The only problem here was it took a long time for our entrees to come out. hence the reason I took 1 star off this review due to the two things I mentioned above. Neither of those things I mentioned would keep me from revisiting or recommending them to my friends. The service was good and all of our food was excellent and also there were large portions. We had food to eat the next day. I look forward to my next visit."
"I've always gone to the galleria location but I decided to try the downtown location with my girl and I am glad we did. Derrick was our waiter and he is top notch! I am glad we gave this location a try. Food: what do you expect from pappas steakhouse other than great food!? The bone in ribeye was cooked to perfection. The off the menu Brussels sprouts are so dam good. The au gratin potatoes will have you real lactose intolerant but got dam fam they are so dam good ya heard me! The mouse tart dessert was top notch as well. Pappas steakhouse had been a go to spot for us for many years and will continue to be one of our favorites. The customer was great! Derrick is doing an amazing job here. Great job Derrick! Will definitely ask for him next time."
"Pizza was some of the best I've had. Waiter was great highly recommend this place the building was very cool"
"I had lunch here about a month ago on a Saturday. Yelp brought me here as I was in the area. It's located on the corner of a strip shopping center with parking in front. Nik's is a casual table service restaurant that looks very nautical inside with its decor and is small inside. After looking at the menu that consists of steaks and seafood dishes I realized it's quite affordable too. In fact, steaks are a big part of the menu. I ordered a combo type meal of a 5 oz. sirloin with 5 blackened shrimp and mashed potatoes for $12.99. The meal came out in less than 15 minutes. I must say that the sirloin was outstanding! Seriously, I can't remember eating a steak that was more flavorful and tender as those 5 ounces were. It was better than most filet mignon's that I have experienced. However they do it, the steaks here are legit. I want that steak (no, need that steak) again and soon. The blackened shrimp were tasty and enjoyed too. Finally, I was impressed with how creamy and smooth the mashed potatoes were along with the delish gravy on top. For $13 this meal rocked! Finally, my waiter, William gave excellent table service. I don't live near or frequent this area often however I want to come back. This meal was an easy 5 but after just one experience I'm hesitant without trying something else and think I should give a 4 for now. But that steak was soooo good....."
"My Mum and Dad took me here for my birthday and it was so sweet of them to take me here. My sweet Mum always takes her kids to the best places for our birthday and she just gives my Dad the credit too, lol. My birthday runs around and as usual I plan nothing nor say nothing. On top of that I moved into a new home and I was so blessed that I expected nothing else. I was so pleased my parents brought me here because I bookmarked all the great places in Houston, or so I thought. When we pulled up here I was so curious to what it was about and how she found this restaurant before me. It was such a sweet experience! The only gripe was it was a little cold but that goes on the back burner once you started to enjoy the company and ambiance and none of us drink ( I don't anymore) but I'm sure the tables who were imbibing were getting a little warm. The ambiance was lovely. I really enjoyed the live music playing. The servers were long tome employees and did everything right. Not to mention the manager goes around and checks on the tables. We were a little worse for the wear as we were moving and we didn't have time to dress to the nines but we got treated well. We started the meal with calamari which was good. I asked for limes with my water and Sprite (I put limes in everything I drink so I'm probably) and I asked for a lot and I squeezed one on the calamari and it made it so good with that pop of tart lime. So much better than lemon, try it. I would come back for the calamari. So delicioso. This is kind of an Italian forward steakhouse. I have resorted to picking on my company's food as I don't eat much due to surgery so my Mum ordered the lasagna- I think it was an oxtail lasagna or some sort of special lasagna. My Dad ordered the chicken parmesan with linguini and tomato sauce. I ordered creamed spinach and opted to share my parents meals. The lasagna was delicious and was a perfect portion. It was very rich and enough to eat the meal at the table. The chicken parmesan was a huge portion and seasoned and salty in a good way. It was fried well and not greasy at all. The creamed spinach was the best creamed spinach I have ever had. We all raved about it and when I woke up the next day it was gone, lol. The chicken parm was just as delicious the next day. For dessert my Dad ordered the zeppoles- Italian doughnuts with powdered sugar. I initially told him to get something else because I've never liked them but when I tried one that night it was so good! I definitely did not need the scrumptious sauces it came with. I got a cheesecake compliment of the restaurant for my birthday. It was a thick piece that was okay but I can make out when desserts are stored with main foods instead of a bakery refrigerator so that was a tad off buy it was good. Live music on Friday. I tried to get my parents to dance but we were so exhausted we just are and left. Our waiter Corbin was funny so that was a good thing. Great service!"

Delicious! I always love a good Japanese steak house and Kobe did not disappoint. Chicken flavorful, the shrimp tasty and the fried rice is outstanding. The service was very pleasant with a touch of humor too. I will go anytime I'm in the area.

The complimentary bread rolls with the honey & cinnamon spread is so good! We got the shrimp appetizer. I've tried the blooming' onion and rattlesnake bites before. Both were tasty! My mom got the 8 oz strip, and I got the smothered chicken with mash potatoes. I liked my dish and would order again. I've tried the herb crusted chicken which was a bit burnt but I enjoyed it. I would like to order the herb crusted chicken again. The sides were ok, nothing too special. I have had the mash potatoes, fries, and corn. Staff is always very nice and helpful each time I went. The restaurant itself is spacious, and there are always guests it seems. At the end, there is a free bag of peanuts to take home. Pretty cool!

The boudin balls were seasoned well, hot on the inside and crispy on the out. The onion rings were so crispy and tasty. They were so good that it tasted like butter. The shrimps were big and juicy. They were not under cook. They were fresh and also well-seasoned. The service was okay because the establishment became crowded so our Associate was pulled in vast directions. The establishment was loud because it was full. The ambiance was busy and full of energy.

The moment we pulled up, I knew this was going to be a special night. My husband and I came for our anniversary date!! It was acknowledged when we walked in and we sat down with celebratory champagne. All the food they recommended was spot on delicious- started with the bourbon street baked oysters, the Chilean sea bass entree and the bourbon Cajun fettuccine, and finally, the butterscotch bread pudding. The service matched with the food was perfection!

We went here to celebrate my birthday. Started out with the pineapple jerk wings. They were very good. Shots in between. The drinks are steakhouse priced. But it was good. Got the tomahawk steak and some sides. We also added on the sauces which they recommended: Hickory Smoked Butter,Garlic Herb Butter and Spicy Cajun Butter The presentation of the steak was amazing. The sides were all really good. The crème brûlée corn was a bit too sweet for me. But it was a different taste/experience. The Brussel sprouts were also good. It's dimly lit and could be a good spot for a date or a group. I enjoyed it. Service was great from start to finish.

"The food here is excellent, as was the service, but especially noteworthy was the management. I was enjoying a delicious meal, the grilled chicken salad, and noticed that the manager was going around and thanking the veterans for their service. I asked the manager what his name is and learned it is "RAY". It was Veteran's Day and I thought that was very appropriate and deserving for Ray to do what he was doing, considering how busy he was. I recommend this restaurant for hot, fresh, and delicious food! Don't forget to get a dessert!"
"Ordered the chopped steak with a salad for $12.99 as a lunch special. The staff seemed not very friendly or happy to be at work. The salad bar was pushed against a wall making it hard to reach items at the back. The salad bar had a good variety and I like that they had pineapple as an option.Cool rustic cowboy decor inside.Metal utensils, ceramic plates and paper napkins.Chopped steak had brown gravy and grilled onions and mushrooms on too and was quite good. Portion size was good.I would come back again"
"This week, I visited Dario's for the first time as the occasion was to celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks with 2 friends for lunch. It wasn't too busy when we arrived so getting a table was easy. It's a nice looking restaurant inside with some outside seating also available and features a full bar. From the HRW menu, I chose the Boston salad followed by filet mignon tips for the main and then chocolate cake to finish all for $25. The salad arrived less than 10 minutes later and with the first bite I noticed it was served at room temperature and not cooler like normal. The salad tasted good and had more nuts like pecans than average. The salad was fine except for the temperature (3). The filet mignon tips were served over mashed potatoes with green beans. I liked the taste however some of the beef tips were chewy with some sinew while other tips were tender (3). Not your typical filet mignon experience. Finally the dark chocolate cake was rich, flavorful and delicious (5). The frosting was perfect. Loved it! Finally during the meal our waiter seemed to stay busy with a couple of other nearby tables but not very visible at ours. For some reason other restaurant staff took more care of us than he did. This included the manager on duty. The 3 of us agreed that we didn't feel the love as much as we would have liked. I was debating on whether this was a 3 or 4 star Yelp experience and could have gone either way. When my bill arrived I noticed a charge of $4.15 for the iced tea I ordered. $4.15 for iced tea? Seems a little excessive to me. $4 is too high to begin with and then why add another .15c??? That made my 3 star decision easy. Looking at their regular menu it appeared that many of their entrees are a little expensive especially for the area. I might return however with their prices I would want to be sure my experience was commensurate for what I paid for."
"Holy heck, what a charming little country cafe! Came here with car club friends on a recent weekend in east Texas. Our group was on the large size taking up an most of one of the dining rooms. Service was polite and drink refills flowed throughout the meal. Portions are HUGE! I ordered and enjoyed the blackened catfish with fried shrimp. Think there was some hushpuppies buried in the plate somewhere too. Sides were mashed potatoes with amazing brown gravy and fried okra. This for the small sum of $18.99; would have cost double that in a big city. The ladies at the table both enjoyed the black and blue salad. My buddy across the booth also enjoyed the catfish as I did. One of my dining buddies insisted I mention the creamy Cajun pasta dish with shrimp, chicken, and smoked sausage. Adding to the ambiance of the town; lots of shops to visit too!"
"Wow, first time here, this location is out front the Premier Outlet Mall in Cypress, Tx. Plenty of parking. Walked inside and really large with plenty of seating and staff. Greeted by staff with smiles and good vibes/energy, must have a good manager/team. We both ordered Renegade 6oz sirloin with 8 large shrimp on skewers and over pilaf rice, you also get a salad and a side all for under $21....not sure how they can do this without losing money.Cook on the steak was perfect we ordered medium (I always suggest to people to order 1 level higher to get the level you want.) to get medium-rare....perfect red center and warm and also tender and seasoned perfectAll the sides were also very good.Still cannot believe the cost $21.79 They also have mobile pay which is nice, you scan the QR code and it is very easy....and staff get alerted that you mobile paid so no concern walking out wondering if they think your leaving without paying..lol..Will be back for sure...love the longhorn on wall above bar...and the entire place is cowboy/western decor...Really nice looking new place..."
"Much more lengthy than Shorthorn, of course.I'm not a big fan of steaks, but I do think that some of the chains have good steaks and Longhorn is one of those places that can do a pretty good job.I don't like the company that owns it but their steaks are good.Service at this one is not bad, but wait time can be a little bit on the longer side, which never bothers us really.Still, overall I do think it's a good place to get a steak, and when we want a steak over in Katy, it's somewhere that I would definitely consider and would tell people to check out."
"Our intended restaurant was closed and this was nearby, so we rolled in to give it a shot. The menu was diverse and included udon, ramen, sushi and sashimi. Service was a little slow and the udon soup left my son a little uneasy. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the udon noodles with beef was decent."
"Bread with herb butter was the highlight of my meal here. The crab cakes were crispy with limited crab. The calamari was soggy. My entree which was the 12 Short rib was very fatty with minimal meat. The brussels sprouts were flavored and probably the second best food item here. As for dessert, I tried the banana bread pudding, strawberry short cake and chocolate parfait. None was memorable but the cheesecake someone else ordered looked good. Decor and service was great though!"
"Very good. The service was friendly and very good. The boiled shrimp was good. The oysters on half shell were amazing.. the grilled fish and shrimp covered in crawfish etouffee was absolutely amazing!!"
"Blake's was a pleasant surprise. We were on our way to Houston and had intended to have BBQ at City Market. Got there and the line was to the door. We were talking with the woman in front of us when a guy in a Trump hat cut in front of us with some blather about driving from Dallas. We stood there for a few minutes and he kept going on and on and we decided to leave. His presence would have ruined any good food. Went to Blake's next door and had one of the best chicken fried steaks we'd ever had. It was obviously fresh and had not come frozen from a food service. I had fried okra too that was very good. The rolls that were served had a nice texture with some whole grain in them. Salad dressing for the salad seemed homemade as well."
"Can you endear the weary-workers of Uptown Park more than offering them complimentary sparkling wine? I think not. And, while that might make me sound easy, go read my other reviews. A glass of bubbly certainly sets the tone of a restaurant who cares about their patrons. Quickly seated and greeted, our waiter--salt of the earth Juan-- recommended their "known" dishes. We went with the pork gyoza, steak and ravioli, and the butter cake. The pork gyoza, while slightly charred on the bottom, was understated and allowed the chili sauce to sing its praises. A bastion of welcomed culinary delectability, I recommend starting your meal here...after your complementary bubbles. The steak and ravioli. THE STEAK AND RAVIOLI. Take a bite with a little of everything. The truffle is perfectly balanced. Sometime truffle takes center stage. Not in this dish. This. This was delightful. Plate-licking style delight. And then. There was. The. Butter. Cake. The cheesecake center made this dessert a winner. Oh, bless, hips! Here come the calories!!!! The plants. Oh my, Lord. The plants. Excellent playlist. Patio--dog friendly. The coolest light fixture maybe ever. I mean--it's a cool looking place. The food is extraordinary."
"This is overpriced madness at it's best. Ok I'm going to start with the good:Creamed spinach: Amazing, thick, creamy, you can taste the cheeses piping hot, ok portion for 2 people to have some $12 Creamed corn: Out of this world, sweet, creamy, thick, so comforting, enough for 2 to share $11-12 can't remember. The disappointments:Snapper with lump crab - FAIL, everyone knows I'm beyond a seafood lover, beyond, I know my seafood, from a little girl to now, I am basically all about ANYTHING in the sea. So HOW you mess up snapper & crab, two of the most tantalizing items in the sea? This overly bland dish is a nightmare for all crabs everywhere. No salt, no pazazz, no garlic, no butter, no flavor that's what I'm telling you. The fish was no where near flaky, I describe it as thick and mushy. Smh I don't know I'm frustrated trying to figure out how this dish was accomplished? A mess!! For $40. The steak $68 (for steak only). Well cooked, however nothing over the top for $68. I could bbq this at home for $18 just saying. Seriously I don't mind spending $200 on dinner ever but please offer the food for the price your asking for. I would return for the sizes and to maybe try other sides but that's about it. For me to pass on crab is unheard of! Literally, until now."
"Our group of 4 had- Shrimp Alfredo with MinestroneChicken Parmigiana and saladShrimp LivorneseRavioli Vodka sauceAll were delicious. Service was very attentive."
"Way above my expectations. The staff is very friendly. The establishment is very clean and the food well it definitely speaks for itself"
"The real star of the show here are the Caipirinhas. They make them to perfection here! Meat is good and the options in the salad bar are ok. Service is spectacular!"
"Jesse and Jose are doing absolutely great job at this location. I noticed they were Houston restaurant week. So we decided to give them a try and I'm glad we did. Everything was good here the food, the customer service, the experience.Food : found every single cut of meat to be full of flavor and very tasty. The pichana probably my favorite. I really enjoyed the sirloin as well. All of a sudden your top-notch as well. The scallop potatoes are simply amazing. Garlic rice is top-notch as well. I really love the flavor of them. Cheese rolls. Everything was fresh, they kept the meat coming. There was never a point where we were waiting at all. Jesse and Jose. Also, I really like how they have parking. Typically parking can be an issue at the woodlands but not here. Once again the customer service is top notch and all the waiters made sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back soon."
"Want to give 3.5 stars but rounded up. This is a small, charmingly decorated restaurant in Katy, popular for birthdays and family celebrations. We came on a Friday night and the place was packed at 7pm (be sure to make a reservation). The menu is large with Latin and African dishes; we had a variety of samplers and all sorts of dishes from steak to fish to fufu to pasta. The food was 10/10 and so were the drinks. The chef came out a couple times to make sure everything was in order. This was all great from the food perspective. However, the service could be improved during dinner rush. Our table never received any menus and ended up looking at the menus on our phones. Our water glasses should have been refilled more often than they were. The waitstaff (not specifically our server but others who attended our table such as the bus girl) had difficulty understanding me multiple times (possibly because it was so loud). At one point I felt I needed to start speaking Spanish to be understood. There were a number of bus boys standing around doing nothing when they could have been helping refill waters. There was a live saxophonist playing great music. We would have tipped him but had no cash perhaps he could have a venmo QR code for cashless tips."
"I've only eaten at one other McCormick & Schmick's Steakhouse and that was a number of years again while in Atlanta and that visit played a major part in the decision process to dine here. I met a few business associates here for dinner after a long day at work. The atmosphere is very inviting and we were able to find parking without utilizing the valet service. Fortunately there was no wait time and after being greeting by the extremely welcoming hostess we were seating immediately. Our server was very friendly and professional and really set the tone for our visit - he missed nothing and was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made a number of recommendations. After placing our drink orders we had time to explore all the offering and once the cold bottle beers arrived we discuss our decision with our server as he poured and distributed the beers in chilled glasses. We all ordered the Dry Ages Ribeyes at different temperatures and a different choice of the three potato dishes offered (fries, roasted and mashed) and decided to order a side of the truffle Mac n Cheese for the table. The steaks arrived perfect cooked to order each with a temperature stake proving the kitchen understood what the expectation were - everything arrived correct and nothing was missed even though our server never wrote anything down hence my comment on his professionalism. True to their reputation M&S delivered on their promise, the steak were of high quality and perfectly executed and the sides were prepared and served hot and of course the beer was cold. This was truly a four star experience and a place I would highly recommend and return to when in the area even though there are so many options in the area, for this occasion it was a great choice and the prices aren't too hard on the expensive report..."
"For a weekday outing, this place was packed. We came out on a Wednesday night to enjoy a nice dinner. We were seated right away, restaurant was very intimated and cozy. We ordered steak, lobster, Mac n cheese, baked potato, and chocolate cake. Steak was "melt in your mouth" delicious, lobster scampi was savory, Mac n cheese was creamy and flavorful. We reallllly enjoyed our meals!! Now, this was easily a 5 star experience had we not ordered dessert... The chocolate cake was a TOTAL let down. It was as dry as a Brillo pad and had no flavor. I was shocked at how bad it was. All in all, the experience was great!"
"I ordered a ceviche and Picanha steak to go. The steak came with crispy polenta sticks, mashed potatoes and sweet plantains (very carb heavy). I should have asked if they can sub out one of the carbs for some veggies but I ate a salad on the side. I ate my ceviche and some cheese bread while I waited for my steak to be ready. The ceviche was very fresh and tasty. I like that it comes with plantain chips. My friend offered me one of her beef empanadas to try. I enjoyed the crispy edges and flavor of the beef. It came with a good dipping sauce too. I ordered my steak medium. It was seasoned and cooked at the right temperature."
"I've been to this location many times but this time I had to leave a review. A SATURDAY was a great time had. My server Codie was the best one I've had there. She was nice and attentive and fast and was a great upseller. Pros:The server made the experience Food was fresh and delivered fastDrinks were good Cons: none"
"I was in Texas City and picked up a friend for lunch and bright him to Gus'. This is there third location in Texas City as their original off of 9th Street burnt down years back and they opened a place on Palmer Highway closer to the new HEB. Which was a nice place. Now they have moved across the street in the strip center where the Kroger and Antonini's Subs are located. It's really very nice inside and had a nice ambience! I've had their steaks and seafood and it's all really good! We would sometimes get Ribeye steak sandwiches delivered to our place of work and they were always so good!!! This day though we came in and decided to have their Cheese Burgers with a side of fries! Our waitress was very good and attentive checking on us often refilling or drinks as needed! They're burgers very good, big with plenty of cheese and condiments! Was not disappointed at all, great lunch here!!! This place has been a staple in Texas City for years and it's still good!!!"
"I ordered a NY Strip medium rare with seasoned rice and brussel sprouts for takeout. It was a great meal overall. The steak was tasty, nicely seasoned, beefy, juicy and tender enough. It also had deep heat flavor from the grill, which was a good thing too. The inner redness was spot on for medium rare. The brussel sprouts were tasty, had a good texture, but a bit too greasy. I drenched some of the grease and I could then really taste the earthiness of the sprouts in that sweet sauce they're cooked in. The seasoned rice was ok, but satisfying as a carb side with my meat n veggie. The service from the togo area was very efficient and friendly on this visit."
