"If you are in Houston, this place is worth the drive. It's located in the parking lot of a car garage with outdoor seating, and can be easy to miss so slow down as you approach to turn into the right driveway. The food was amazing! Everything was freshly made and you can taste it. My husband and I devoured our birria tacos, it was so good. We also got the loaded fries with fajita, which are a good starter but you get so much so it's nice to get to share but wouldn't get it as a side. The most unique thing we got was the birria ramen - absolutely a must try. It's served in an instant ramen container but the broth and toppings are made in house I think, the broth is rich and full of birria seasoning, and it's topped with some cheese and meat. I dropped the onion, cilantro, and lime in there and it was so delicious. This is a meal in itself, so we took the rest home (probably not great after but I couldn't throw it away!). If you are looking for a great birria option, this place does not disappoint!"
"Really good customer service. And the taco on corn tortilla are amazing reminds me of my hometown in Mexico."

"Why 5 stars? Because it lived up to the hype. --- --- ---28 reviews and every single one is 5 stars? There's no way it can be that good, right?Let me just say this: If you don't love the tacos from Taco Keto, you're just an angry person.I lived the first 22 years of my life in the Friendswood/Clear Lake area but was never into 2 things:1) Being a foodie2) Exploring around in the "Big City"And for my return home this past Christmas, it was time to un-do that horrible behavior. I'd seen enough of the suburbs in my life - it was time for my introduction to Houston's best.My flight landed at Hobby. My mom picked me up. We went directly to Taco Keto.Oh...the GOODNESS that was contained inside of that 6 inch tortilla. Sometimes the Mexican food can be lacking here in Tampa...but one bite of this paradise, and I was right back at home.I told the employee that I was fresh off the plane from Tampa, and she told me that the day before a couple came in from Chicago. The word is getting out...and soon...Taco Keto will be a National Phenomenon."
"The taquitos are so good! Definitely a spot for some good tacos. We also got the quesadilla and burrito! All was delicious- and the green salsa was soo spicy but that good kinda spicy! The owner is really nice aswell! Recommend the chicharron!"
"UPDATE: New location is 19234 Kuykendahl Rd. Spring, TX 77379 as of 1/3/2023! We went to the original (now old) location on 17706 Kuykendahl Rd Spring, TX 77379 tonight and it was empty - we immediately got sad because this has been our go-to taco truck for the past year! They do have a sign stating they moved locations & I called to confirm.Needless to say, 10/10 I still recommend and this is our favorite food truck!"
"Update from 4 to 5 stars:Customer service is still great. In my original post, I said the flavor of the meat was bland, but we've stopped by recently a few times and it's been on point! Still a great price and now the flavor is there!! I also like their horchata and pina when they have it.Just as a warning- I believe they make their own salsa, and the heat varies greatly! I like some hotness but not too much, and this last time I was unprepared for how hot it was!! Still delicious, but put a little on first to see if you can handle it lol!"
"The map shows this place by iHeart Boba & Lotus Seafood, but it's right at the corner of Veteran's Memorial & Fallbrook. In the same shopping strip as Church's Chicken & Shell gas station. This taco truck is very, very, VERY good! LOL You name it, they've got it - tacos, tortas, gorditas, burgers, quesadillas, etc. The meat options are very good & they've got killer salsa. And that's both the red & green options! If I had to pick I'd say the chorizo & egg tacos, barbacoa, pastor & fajita are my fave meat options, but all have been good. Their prices are better than many close by & you absolutely get your money worth. I can never finish their torta in one sitting. It's big & the bun is grilled oh so buttery fresh. Don't know if they actually use butter to toast the bread, but it reminds you of that perfectly toasted bun from an old school burger joint. Not greasy, but toasted to have that slight crunch at the 1st bite.Always friendly & quick service. The truck is clean & I've noticed these guys keep the inside in good order as well. As a heads up, they're cash only. Give them a try if you're in the area."
"Delicious! As a vegetarian, I always appreciate when a business does their best to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The quesadilla was pick-your-own protein and I noticed they had breakfast tacos so I asked if I could choose eggs as my protein. They said yes and the quesadilla came out perfect. Get the potatoes! Speaking of, they said empanadas were the special so I asked if they could make mine with potatoes instead of meat. "Of course," they said. And they packed them to go with all the toppings on the side so I could warm them up later. I really appreciated how nice they were about me ordering off the menu. Catch them at Houston Social Beer Garden HTX on Friday and Saturday nights."
"Finally decided to try Liberty Taco after the many highly rated Yelp reviews in addition to me loving Tacos! I decided to go on a Monday morning and when I got there I was in fact worried because there wasn't a single soul in line. Variety is the spice of life, so I decided to pig out this morning! I order 1 barbacoa taco, 2 egg bacon and cheese taco, chips & queso, as well as 1 chicken taco. All the meat on each on of my tacos was well seasoned, eggs were great and (real). For some odd reason, the Queso stole the show! The only drawback for me was that the tortilla did not seem like it was freshly made and instead store bought, but nonetheless all still great.Customer service was great!"
"My fiance and I went here tonight when in town - we needed a snack before dinner and hadn't had lunch so we wanted something smaller.I had the Democrat taco with beef barbacoa but unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of it - it was sweet, which I wasn't expecting. He had the Tipsy Chick taco which was very good (I took a bite). We also split the Hillbilly queso, which came with guac, chorizo, and cilantro in it, and it was delicious.Pricing is about $5.75+ per taco, and the queso was $8.25.I'd come back here again but overall wouldn't order the Democrat taco; it just wasn't to my liking."

New to the area and found my favorite taco spot in Houston. The flavors were on point!! I had a shrimp Carne Asada and beef taco and they were all delicious. The service and ambience was amazing. They ran out of beans but everything else was exceptional so I couldn't take away stars. They compensated with a replacement that was sufficient. It's a hard YES for me! Looking forward to trying additional items on the menu.

I Ordered the quesabirria x5 and comes with consome I paid $15 for this plate which I would say is reasonable price. The first time I came to this place I really enjoyed everything. This was my second time ordering this exact meal as I took the first bite the meat was extremely chewy and overcooked or undercooked not sure, but the texture was awful then I started to chew on some hair so I spit it out and it was in between the meat and cheese , I was extremely grossed out by that so I will not be back sorry ,Please have your employees wear hair nets that will help.

The best tacos in Houston. I know my reviews tend to be longer but that's all I want to share with you. Go there. Hope they are open. Order the Al Pastor. Ps.: there is nothing ketogenic about this spot.

"Food is, as always, delicious! The location overlooking the lake is very peaceful and serene. And possibly the best service of any Torchy's out there!"
"Not a date place, but if the salsa is great, would you go?Typical taqueria décor and furniture in this area. Not much English is spoken here. 6 comfortably padded booths and about 8 tables. Only two other customers at lunchtime.Chips y salsa:Red salsa was spicy hot, yet very tasty and different (must be some unusual peppers)The other salsa looked like a watery pico de gallo, with cilantro leaves, chopped onions, and some (not much) tomato. But there were other ingredients that sunk to the bottom, including pepper chunks (not a jalapeno, but one of the large green peppers). Both salsas seemed home made. I really enjoyed these.Mexican flag chips (store bought, red, green, and normal corn color).I ordered the Chile Relleno dinner ($7.50) with chicken, not beef. OK, I had to use "pollo" to order that. The meal started with a soup (Honduran?) of macaroni and angel hair pasta in a light yellow broth (chicken?). This is good if you need carbs. I have an oversupply stored, unfortunately. The meal came with two rellenos, both battered in soft covering and without sauce or cheese on top: one big one filled with plentiful dark chicken meat, and a little one filled with white cheese. The smaller pepper was more spicy, perhaps a different kind of pepper? The meal is best if you combine some of the cheese one with the chicken one (there is no cheese in the chicken relleno). This was pretty good, but still nowhere near as tasty as the chicken relleno at Chuy's. The sides are rice, beans and small lettuce portion with very thin avacodo slices.Service was good (again, no other customers to slow them down). So, the differentiator of this taqueria from others is a bit better salsa. To quell the heat, they serve a couple of mints with your check."
"Great food and wonderful service. This is our regular spot we stop and eat. Beed and chicken fajitas are very good along with lobster. Their drinks are also very good. It is a casual and relaxing atmosphere. Their flan is also delicious. And if you enjoy fried pork rinds, try them out. They arrive warm and crunchy with small sides of guacamole & cheese."
"Best tacos on this side of town. You can call ahead and order. Cash only. Sometimes there's a wait but seriously the best taco stand out here and they're not overpriced either!"
"As someone who prides himself in knowing what am actually "California burrito" should taste like since I lived in San Diego for a better part of fifteen years, I'd have to say that this one is by far one of the best ones I've had in the entire Houston area. That statement could honestly go either way since the greater Houston area is not necessarily known for California style Mexican food altogether, but there are a couple other places that TRY and get it right. Most of them don't!"
"So glad I found this place near my home! They're so good. Meat is not bland and fairly priced. The cooks don't really understand requests too well. I ask no onions they give me onions anyway. I ask for just cilantro and they give me onions and cilantro mixed lol. They never get that part right. There is limited parking to wait for tacos but it's fast. On a busy night the most I've had to wait was 8 mins. They do have a section with benches to sit if you want to eat them there. Would've gave it 5 stars if only they weren't charging different prices each visit which based on the reviews I can see it has not stopped. I've been here at least 5 times. I don't have a problem with the cooks or the price per taco. It's the lady that charges. Their prices are listed on the food truck. Therefore if you make the math it should be charged as listed and if there is tax then it should be said at the time of purchase. She has charged me .25 to .50 cent more than the actual total amount. I don't mind paying taxes. But what I don't like it's the way her response is each time. My first time she charged me extra and didn't say sorry. Just opened her palm and said ok. The second time my sister went and over charged her again. She politely told her in Spanish that it was not the correct amount or maybe if she adding tax? She doesn't say anything again but pretends to look at a sheet of paper above her to see the "prices" but then looks at the money and says it's okay don't worry about it. Like what? I want to pay what is due. Not what she feels is due in that moment Every time I've confronted her about it she has no explanation and no shame. Doesn't care. So for that I leave 3 stars. She knows me by now so she has stopped but I know she does this to other people. So I suggest asking her the price per tacos and make the math. Otherwise she'll charge whatever she feels like it that day"
"Loved this little spot located in a little shopping center strip. I initially found them on IG and I had to go! I love that they are open during the day and through the week so I don't have to wait until late at night to get my taco fix! They take their birria quesitacos seriously!! The birria meat has such great flavor and is just as delicious as it looks. My hubby also got a plate of street tacos and we tried the pastor and beef. He loved them so much that he finished the plate and went back and ordered a second plate of tacos! I wish they were closer to my house but it's definitely worth the drive!"
"Try not to eat any fast food ever but thought I would treat myself to the Jack-in-the-Box tacos haven't had in forever so disappointing got home and they were broken, the bag was fried or glued to one of the tacos and seem like they had been sitting since the morning before or evening, disgusting!!!! I couldn't even eat them and for $1.50 not worth getting sick over and in the trash They went! I will never go back there again, oh and also I asked for taco sauce looked before driving off none in the bag so I politely asked for taco sauce once I got her attention she hands me three packets one in Whicjwas opened or another opened and had leaked all over so gross, I pulled up and threw it in their drive thru trash can."
"My visits to Torchy's are always consistently good and this location was no exception. Lots of parking in the lot. Service was quick and friendly. The queso and tacos were great as always."
"Just ordered their green enchiladas for lunch! Hot dang, these are delicious. The best I've had in this area. I will be ordering them again. Thank you, Mary!"
"Love my neighborhood Eight Row Flint. It's not nearly as beautiful as the previous bar (RIP Nightshift), but it's grown on us, and it's now our go-to spot for a quick dinner or happy hour. Chips and queso are a must; the campechana, chicken pozole, and the salsa macha wings also deserve a nod. I can't speak on any of the red meat, but the beau is a fan of their burger (and the fries all McDonald's-esque) and the Thursday steak night. Most of the menu items have meat, cheese, or is fried (I wish they kept the quail eggs on the revamped menu). For drinks, Eight Row Flint is best known for the their whiskey and bourbon selection, along with their frozen bevs - the frozen marg, the rum-based "pain killer," and frozen G&T. Try all three with their frozen flight.Happy hour is Mon-Fri2-6pm with discounts on select food and bevs. They do have a rooftop patio, but unfortch there's nothing too spectacular about it due to the nature of the layout. It's not very big, no grand views, not much space for plants to make it a lil' oasis. But who knows - time will only tell if it's expanded (if possible) or if they add any sort of additional outside seating."
"Two of my friends from high school opened this restaurant recently so of course we had to check it out!! It's nice and bright inside with lots of windows, open seating with bar tops as well as regular tables, and outdoor seating for when the weather cools off! I can imagine a cold beer during the fall watching football! My mom and daughter were running late, so I got to chat with our waitress. She was super friendly and easy to talk to! She suggested the steak nuggets, so I went ahead and put an order of those for my 2 year old. They were so delicious!! Fried perfectly and not chewy at all! Served with cream gravy and French fries!! I'm ordering that next time!! My mom and I always share because I fill up quick. We decided on the street tacos. You get to choose fajita chicken, beef, or brisket. I got the chicken with no onions! The salsa that came with it was seasoned perfectly with a little kick! Watch the grilled jalapeño too! Whew!!!! My daughter is 2 and doesn't sit still often! There was plenty of room for her to run around. There are also 2 dart games as well as the ball game where you roll it and try to get it in the hole. My mind is still on summer mode! Anyway, please come check this place out!! My friends will take care of you and they are local guys!! Keep it up y'all!!! Proud of you!!"
"If ever in the Kingwood area, high thumbs up for delicious tacos, especially Barbacoa. This family had been here for a long while and every visit to Houston always includes at least a visit or two here!"
"It's a small blue food/truck stand at the gas station corner. The family is really nice. Their taco is $1! You can't beat that. The taste is good and they have my favorite green creamy sauce. Be careful it is pretty darn spicy! Overall, a good solid taco stands and I will definitely come back."
"This place is the shit. House tacos with chicken. Pastor torta. The Mexican hamburger better than whataburger"
"Great neighborhood donut/Kolache/breakfast taco stop with very warm, friendly service and bargain prices. We stopped in to grab a bite before shopping for groceries at Foodarama. had a very yummy Barbacoa torta with sour cream, beans, lettuce, and the freshest and sweetest tomato ever on a toasted roll. Hubs had a fresh sausage Kolache and a huge cinnamon roll that was soft and sweet. Even with 2 medium coffees, the total was just over $10."
"Ruby's at night... love me some beef fajita Gordita! ... Ruby's in the morning... chorizo and egg tacos ... I like mine with refried beans.... You can watch old time movies while you wait for your food! Clean... friendly staff... and conveniently located!"
"This place is inside of the gas station on the corner, you'll miss it if you aren't looking for it as the signage is pretty small. The flour tortillas are great, and I had three different tacos and I was not disappointed. There's two small card tables to sit at, so most of the stuff is to go, ladies are nice, don't speak much English. I would definitely come back."
"Prepare your taste buds for a tantalizing journey through creative taco creations at this gem of a spot! From innovative twists to classic favorites, their taco game is unmatched. And let's talk about their queso - simply divine, especially with the added punch of chorizo! A must-try for any cheese lover or taco aficionado."
"This is the food truck parked in front of Astral Brewing and it is delicious! A big menu for such a tiny truck. I had the potato taquitos (you get 5 for $13) topped with green salsa (perfect amount of kick to it), cabbage, sour cream, queso fresco and cilantro. Eight things on the menu for vegetarians (black beans and potato)!"
"Super delicious food! I've had the pastelitos and I wish I would have known about them sooner because I crave them daily now. It's like a flour tortilla that's fried and isn't greasy, and it has ground beef and finely chopped potato. The side red salsa that comes with it is so good too. I definitely recommend this place! I'm not Hundurian but I want to say this is authentic food!"
