"Great place in Chinatown that serves up many Thai dishes. Tony Thai has been a Chinatown staple for some time now. I've been here a few times with great results.The interior is nice and bright during the day. The lunch specials are gone, but prices and portions are really good, and one can easily split a dish. I really enjoyed the pad thai and pad prick king fish on my last visit. The pad thai had great flavor and pieces of fried tofu, the fish had a nice crisp texture. We asked for both dishes to be medium, but no spice was detected, so we had to alter them ourselves.They do offer take away goodies as well as ingredients to make your own dishes, a bit out of place, but whatever. This is definitely not a place to be missed."

"A friend recommended that I try this place & I'm so glad I did. Decided to have a family dinner here for almost 12 people. Plenty of parking and we were able get a table together fairly easy. The dishes are very easy to have as shareables/family style. Our waiter was polite and helped to recommend several dishes that I wouldn't have thought to order b/c I am not familiar w/this cuisine, but I am so glad he did! WOW. Several people in my party said that this is the best meal they have had, hands down. It was an amazing experience topped with BYOB--thank you. We brought our own wine and sake to enjoy. Here are some highlights that were ordered: Beek Jerky, Nam Khao Tod (crispy rice, oh so good), Thai Sausage (sweet), Papaya Salad, Nam Tok, Crab Fried Rice (good), Thai Basil Fried Rice, Heavenly Chicken, Pad Ped Pladuk (excellent and surprisingly everyone's favorite dish!), Pad Se Ew w/tofu (good), Pad Ke Mao w/beef, and Chicken Lettuce Wrap. "Why 5 stars? Because the green curry and coconut sticky rice were exactly what I hoped for. --- --- ---My wife and I were in a deep rut as we were both struggling to decide where we wanted to eat. We talked about approximately 18 different places, but we ultimately landed on wanting to just pick something up nearby, and she was craving Thai food. Our favorite Thai spot is closed on Sunday's, so we opted to try out Patra's. I'm really glad we did, because they had some of the best green curry I've found in the area. I love green curry, but wasn't necessarily craving it during the midst of day 4,000 in a row with temperatures over 100 degrees. However, I'm so glad we went this route because I loved it. Did I get too excited to eat and forget to take a picture of it? Yes. Did I start eating eat too quickly before it cooled down, resulting in a burned tongue? Yes. But it was worth it. Now I'll just have to go back again for a proper photo!Mango sticky rice was not on the menu, but we saw photos of it, so we asked if it was available, and after a brief hold, it was confirmed. They had it, and it was glorious. Recently when I've had mango sticky rice, I've been disappointed, but this rendition was great and it was a very large portion, too. Another item available not on the menu: Thai Tea. I was a fan of Patra's version, but my wife who normally loves it, was not. Take that for what it's worth.On the same note of my wife and I disagreeing, she loved her Pad Thai, while I thought it was just okay. It's clean, well lit, and spacious inside. Waitress was efficient and service was good considering number of people in our party. I would gladly come back to try more things on the menu!"

For this price point ($8.61) for a lunch meal of egg roll, fried rice, and orange chicken - you will not be able to get a better Asian fusion meal anywhere else. I was stuffed, and so was my friend who ordered a pho, fountain soft drink, lunch order (general tso, fried rice, and egg roll) for a total of $20. Food was really good at this price point. The egg roll was the highlight. The only thing that needs some work is the fried rice, could be a bit better. Beggars can't be choosers though . Service was great, very nice and very quick. Overall - 9/10 highly recommend

It's been 5 years since I been back here. I wanted the steam fish and this place makes it really good. The lemon broth that it's cooked with tastes really good. It's on the pricy side but I can probably finish a fish myself. The pad Thai we order was great and not too sweet. Obviously I always get papaya salad spicy but it was average spicy. It a huge and plenty for 2 people that we took home. I gave it to my friend but I think fried chicken would have been great with it. I'm come back again eventually.

One of the best kept secrets in Houston when it comes to Thai Food. Amy and Sam are awesome and their food is AMAZING. Seriously. I've yet to find something I didn't LOVE. Today we had the Pad Pik Pow w chicken (ridiculously good), the Chicken Garlic Fried Rice, Cheese rolls and Fried Dumplings. As always, it was phenomenal. Other great dishes we've had here are Garlic Pepper Chicken stir fry, Sweet Sausage Friend Rice (amazing!) and Hot Thai Chicken (not too spicy and so flavorful)Tell them Kevin and Heather and Connor sent you! You won't be disappointed, I promise!

Best Pad se ewe within 10 miles thus far. However I like it with veggies only, no broccoli but lots of carrots and a little spicy. I usually order for delivery but picked up for first time the other day. I asked the Gentleman when it changed owners and he said about a year ago. So good deal. So far so good.

Absolutely gorgeous plates. Unique dishes that perk up the palate. Order the jumbo shrimp with tamarind sauce. Have you seen shrimp that are over two inches long friend with a light tempura like batter? Juicy succulent , crispy and oh so good with the tangy sauce. The papaya salad was fresh and tasty and the friend clam came with spicy sauces to dip.

"We stopped by here because our car was parked in the garage across the street and we were hungry and craving Thai. Absolute GEM! Our server was super sweet and sat us right away, drinks came out right after. Service was overall quick! The ambiance was peaceful and very private as we were the only ones for the first half of our meal. We got the egg rolls, FIRE! 9.5/10! They came piping hot with a yummy sweet chili dipping sauce. I got a Thai tea and my husband got a Perrier. I really liked the Thai tea, definitely a 9.5/10! I got the Tom Yum shrimp, I loved it! 9.5/10, one of my favorite ones out of the 20+ restaurants I've tried over the years! My husband got the pineapple fried rice, he gave it a 8/10, he said it was good! I also got the mango sticky rice to go and it was divine! 10/10, I'll be back just for that!"

It unfortunately closed many years ago and I've never been able to find another place where the green curry lived up to good ol'e Thai Thani (RIP). I'm so happy to say that I think Thai Wok In is the first time I have finally put an end to the search.I am far from an expert on being able to describe why the other curries were not as good as this curry. I simply slurp and react. And I reacted quite happily to this one. The only minor knock I have is that when we ordered online, we selected "no spice". I debated choosing "mild" because I don't like spicy food but I didn't want to take away from the flavor either. Well, I can definitely say that no spice still has a decent kick to it and that's what I'll be ordering again in the future. I'm a wuss when it comes to heat and my wife takes it to the extreme, so we're pretty spice adverse. Other than that, we really enjoyed the fried rice that my wife ordered as a side. Her main entree, Pad Thai, was a bit on the bland side, but still enjoyable. It's more than the relaxing soundtrack, and quiet patrons, it's moreso the spaciousness, inviting service, stress free parking (bonus of a suburban restaurant), and the prospect of authentic cuisine in the area that's not categorized as "American" or "Modern American" (ie every popular Woodlands restaurant).On our visit, I was unfortunately distracted from my zen bubble as soon as our food arrived. Although the food was presented beautifully, myself and my guest immediately noticed the tables (ours included) sat too far away from the booth seats for comfort. I get it- usually this is a minor thing, but the distance was pretty drastic, so much so that it made eating a chore. I'm not sure if this is every diners experience (being that I'm 4'11" with the arm span of someone my stature), but is imagine it effects a majority of diners, and while I love a good workout, it's not exactly my idea of a relaxing meal.Other than that, the meal was fine, the curry was comforting, but I'm still in search of a Thai Food joint that will knock my socks off. The restaurant is bring your own bottle kind of deal. So, if you are the type that like a drink with your meal you will need to bring it you. We came on a Friday right before HH ends and the sampler was a great choice everything was tasty especially the shrimp.Drinks were hit or miss - lychee martini was too sweet for him and I tried something sour which was fine. The mule -not HH -which is the top mixed drink on the menu was underwhelming.The crispy flounder was a winner so flaky and ask for the sauce on the side which is so helpful. "This place had good reviews and was close to my friend's work so it made for a great place to meet for a quick lunch. I like how they gave you a little salad and egg roll to start off with. We were both so hungry that we ate them before I had a thought to take a picture. The service is solid, with the food coming out pretty quickly. In fact the little side salad and egg roll hit the table before we even ordered! The one special hit the spot. Plenty of food, all hot and fresh. I asked for medium heat, which was a bit more than I needed but it was still good. I'm a little bit of a wuss when it comes to Thai spices. I also wasn't a big fan of the hot tea. I'm generally not a hot tea person especially without sweetener, but since my friend ordered it and it came in a little pot with two cups I had to give it a try. My major complaint is the parking. All the spots seemed a little narrow and even rolling up at 11:30 there were almost no spots available. I was able to wedge myself in between two other vehicles, but getting in and out of the car was a challenge. I look forward to going back, but I'm worried about getting a ding in my door!"
"We stopped in AFTER another thai meal for dessert (mango with sticky rice) and ended up ordering the panang curry and the khao soi. Everything was excellent, better than we even expected. The noodles in the khao soi were perfectly crispy on top and softened in the soup over the course of our meal. Good service, and it also looks like a cute spot for drinks in the evening. Can't wait to go back!"
