"Well feel bad. Started a review last time was here and apparently never finished. Anyway I was rating them 5 stars. Interesting I was ready to go with another 5 stars. The red salsa was awesome flavor and nice and hot. The fajitas Gratinadas was prepared to perfection for both the chicken and beef. The server was very pleasant and did not allow is to wait for anything. Way to go! Thanks!"
"Really like their food. Get the Steak Fingers. They take the steak for Chicken Fried Steak cut it in to strips and THAT is you fingers. The Taiton Chicken is very good and you need to try the Pork Chops. Have not had a bad meal there. They have beer and a limited selection of wine. I prefer the Matagorda wine. Taiton is just a spot on Hiway 71 with a Catholic Church, a dance hall, a beer joint, and this cafe. If you find yourself going through Taiton I recommend you stop."

"Heiberto was my server and he was both attentive and quick....Standard chips n salsa was handed out and my water and Soda was always filled up. Pretty tasty and yummy Milensa....but using shallow plates to give the Illusion of more portions is cheesy!!Also I only received 2 Tortillas with this order?? Usually 3/4 come with a plato.....and also had to add a side order of beans?*?(Typically comes standard in most Mex Restaurants)Tortillas were homemade and very good but c'mon 1 more wouldn't hurt on this alittle pricey meal....Background verification, I'm somewhat picky bcuz I come from a Family Mexican Restaurant and know what it takes and how to do it....."
"Pretty New Mexican restaurant in the area. Location kind of stinks being right off the highway so if you don't exit properly, you'll pass it up and a pain to circle back. However, definitely worth the stop. Service was friendly and asked for our drinks right away. I ordered a margarita and the wife ordered a mango chamoy margarita, while the kids had water and lemonade. Chips and salsa were hot and fresh. Salsa had a good flavor to it and not overly spicy. For our entrees we had the chicken mole, which had a slight spice to it, the Tomball burrito, filled with chicken, beans and rice, then covered in queso and the fajita nachos. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous and food came out timely."
"Worth the wait! TX Cheese Steak was loaded, great heat and bread was toasted to perfection. Dirty Red Chili was no joke, great flavor and climbing heat. Great customer service, professional and fast. Can't wait to try more!"
"We took a chance and walked over while my car was getting an oil change. So glad we did! Service was great and so was the food. They started us with tasty chips and warm salsa, which I didn't even know was my favorite! Charro beans were some of the best I have had. My friend's three enchilada plate had great fillings and sauces that I must admit made me jealous. Ruluis our server was great, even bringing us some secret Mexican hot sauce. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu."
"The food was so amazing, and well seasoned, the service was over the hills and outstanding! We didn't explore a lot of the restaurant but they had a upstairs dining as well. Perfect for a 32 birthday in August the Theme was picture perfect I could only imagine if they open up in Katy area. This is the perfect spot for kids before 6pm or 7pm and grown up time after 9pm. Applause from this Fathers Day!!"
"Ray's was referred to me by chance from a person I met in another restaurant. I sat next to a lady at happy hour at a restaurant that suggested Ray's. She said that they have some of the strongest margaritas and I should visit to check them out. So the next week I decide to visit to see if what she said was true. They are located on Mason Rd south of I-10near Cimarron Pkwy. I ordered the premium margarita and it did not disappoint. I started to feel it near the end of the 1st margarita. I still ordered a second and immediately I knew I should have not. I couldn't drink it while I was there and I decided to take it to go. She was correct and if you want a strong margarita , this is the place to visit."
"Let me say we went on a Friday around 7pm. I expected the place to be hopping and it wasn't really busy except at the bar area. We ordered a couple drinks and they were ok. Not amazing but not terrible. I found the salas to lack flavor. We ordered the chili con queso. It was ok. Not bad. It was melted cheese. Then we ordered the mini tacos and they came with very bland rice and beans that were ok. The tacos were ok. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. I expected a place called Casa Tequila to have a more extensive tequila selection."
"If you need to feed a lot of people, there is no better option than Red River's fajita packs. It's as if you cooked a ton of delicious Mexican food for your friends and family, except you didn't have to do any of the work. And in 45 minutes or so, juicy, flavorful meat (chicken and steak - both outstanding), onions and peppers, guacamole, salsa, queso, chips, the best beans, rice, incredible fresh flour tortillas and whatever else you want to add on just shows up at your door, ready to go. The price is right, the food is delicious, and you can add on Mexican butter. I don't know what makes the Mexican butter Mexican, or what you're meant to use it for, but we got it, and no one was sad. Also, if you don't finish it you can use it to dip crawfish later on, and it's the best."
"I met a few folks here for dinner and was pretty impressed with the quality of food and the service that we received. It is a small sized taqueria, and I had never heard of it. After being seated and our menus presented, I decided to go with the shrimp and beef fajitas. They came sizzling hot on a platter sautéed with onions and bell peppers. They were also accompanied by rice and beans, pico de gallo, And guacamole. I asked for flour tortillas with my order. The beef was very good, it was tender juicy and the shrimp were also very good. Nicely grilled and presented well. The sidekicks That accompanied were also very good. I liked their guaca and hoped that should have ordered a side order as an appetizer. The retried beans were also good. They were seasoned well and could have been an entree of their own with some rice. I do plan to visit them soon as try out other items on the menu."
"OMG get the fajitas! You don't even need the filet mignon? The regular beef is soooooo tender and perfectly seasoned. The chips and queso are incredible as well. They serve everything up with a little drama and lots of smoke making it an event. It was fairly busy tonight but the wait staff regularly checked back making Mama Ninfa proud."

Nice spot!Service was great, food was yummmmm, and drinks were great as well!! The menu is fairly big, they have a little bit of everything. From tacos and burritos, to fajita plates and seafood dishes. Drink menu was fun! Had a ton of drinks to choose from (mainly margs or tequila based), but can mix and match anything really. Lot of flavors to choose from for the margs. My fav was guava and the hibiscus.Would definitely come back!!

Doesn't look very impressive from the street but it's loaded with charm when you walk in the door. Cute rustic country charm with sport team & beer signs along with a galvanized wrapped bar. It was our first visit and we'll definitely be back when we are in the area. I had the lunch special of a steak finger basket and hubby had the CFS w/sides of green beans & mashed taters. No complaints and just had us wanting more. Everything was perfectly cooked and fresh. The special of the day was a taco bowl and by judging by the other tables, it was a popular choice. A friend recommended the hamburger but we'll try it next time. Great wait staff, and a friendly place.

We finally checked out Moreno's and used their coupon (fajitas for 2 combo beef and chicken). Even before we walked in, there was a waterfall and small bridge. Inside there was colorful decorations. Their salsa that came with the chips was good and spicy. The fajitas were flavorful and they had homemade corn and flour tortillas. We asked for extra tortillas and they gave us for free. We'll definitely come back.

FINALLY!!!!! A good Mexican restaurant in Tomball! We have tried almost everywhere and I remember hearing this place just opened! It's delicious! We did half n half margaritas (half on rocks half frozen = water) with Don Julio. Husband ordered birria tacos! I'm not sure I've ever seen his face so happy from food.... My feelings were almost hurt. I did the Baja shrimp tacos! Shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well! BEANS AND RICE was so GOOD! I hate when places skimp on the beans and rice that's one of my favorite parts! We also ordered a side of mole with shredded pork. The mole is house made and just like it's made in Mexico so so so good! Salsa and chips are also solid! Delicious neighborhood spot!

Chili Chili Chili! It's what they are all about. Very flavorful homemade chili by Jehu McKinney. He was so nice in explaining his spice levels and even offered a sample. He has a few things to accompany his very spicy to not so spicy chili. His cornbread is delish too, perfection. Hope he finds a permanent spot. It's a moving target at the moment so keep your eyes out for a big red truck with a smoking pepper! I'll be coming back to taste the tamales and dessert. Side note: serving size is good for a quick filling bite. If you have a bigger appetite you might want to get an additional side.

It was good authentic Mexican food. I had some chips and salsa of course, a queso white cheese, and the Randera. 3 enchiladas and rice and beans. It was good and busy. Nice atmosphere with a live band playing. But not too loud. I enjoyed it. Thanks

Good food and great drinks! The bartender is really nice! It's normally loud and packed on the weekends. Kind of wish there was a quiet area tho away from the chaos I hate having to yell across the table. And it gets loud early, hard to avoid the noise and Togo is just not as good as it being fresh.

"Why 4 stars? Because this is, YET ANOTHER, solid Tex-Max option nearby. --- --- ---I write it every time, but I don't understand how the local economics work that there are 4,000 restaurants exactly like Monarca in Houston. But it's close to the house and had good ratings, so I had to try it.I always go for the fajitas, and these were an enjoyable rendition. When my wife got home with the to-go order, I'll be honest: they did not *look* good. But the taste was much better than the visual. The rice and beans were excellent. The chips and queso were fine. And lastly, we ordered churros for dessert, which were a nice way to finish the meal. There are a couple other spots we liked more than Monarca, so we probably won't rush back, but they delivered an enjoyable cheat day meal."
"Came back to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. I came after lunch crowd. Of course, they sold out of menudo and pozole. There was only me and another customer. That's nice.So I decided to try their tacos. I ordered 3 different tacos: chicken, pig ears and tripe. Not sure which one of them is deluxe. Shredded chicken in green sauce has best flavor but got too many broken bones. Tripes was overcooked and it was slimy. Mixed with soft beans was a little unappealing.Pig ears got best texture. But I was already full.Overall, this visit was satisfying. I'll catch those menudo and pozole some other time."
"My fiance and I went here tonight when in town - we needed a snack before dinner and hadn't had lunch so we wanted something smaller.I had the Democrat taco with beef barbacoa but unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of it - it was sweet, which I wasn't expecting. He had the Tipsy Chick taco which was very good (I took a bite). We also split the Hillbilly queso, which came with guac, chorizo, and cilantro in it, and it was delicious.Pricing is about $5.75+ per taco, and the queso was $8.25.I'd come back here again but overall wouldn't order the Democrat taco; it just wasn't to my liking."
"Food is, as always, delicious! The location overlooking the lake is very peaceful and serene. And possibly the best service of any Torchy's out there!"
"They're down the street next to the Valero gas station just in case you're looking for them :0)"
"Not a date place, but if the salsa is great, would you go?Typical taqueria décor and furniture in this area. Not much English is spoken here. 6 comfortably padded booths and about 8 tables. Only two other customers at lunchtime.Chips y salsa:Red salsa was spicy hot, yet very tasty and different (must be some unusual peppers)The other salsa looked like a watery pico de gallo, with cilantro leaves, chopped onions, and some (not much) tomato. But there were other ingredients that sunk to the bottom, including pepper chunks (not a jalapeno, but one of the large green peppers). Both salsas seemed home made. I really enjoyed these.Mexican flag chips (store bought, red, green, and normal corn color).I ordered the Chile Relleno dinner ($7.50) with chicken, not beef. OK, I had to use "pollo" to order that. The meal started with a soup (Honduran?) of macaroni and angel hair pasta in a light yellow broth (chicken?). This is good if you need carbs. I have an oversupply stored, unfortunately. The meal came with two rellenos, both battered in soft covering and without sauce or cheese on top: one big one filled with plentiful dark chicken meat, and a little one filled with white cheese. The smaller pepper was more spicy, perhaps a different kind of pepper? The meal is best if you combine some of the cheese one with the chicken one (there is no cheese in the chicken relleno). This was pretty good, but still nowhere near as tasty as the chicken relleno at Chuy's. The sides are rice, beans and small lettuce portion with very thin avacodo slices.Service was good (again, no other customers to slow them down). So, the differentiator of this taqueria from others is a bit better salsa. To quell the heat, they serve a couple of mints with your check."
"We stopped at el Tiempo on a Saturday for lunch. It's located conveniently near Sun and Ski.I started with a house margarita. Very good and it had a couple of shots included. Not bad for the price. We ordered some queso as an appetizer. The queso was quite good, we also enjoyed the green sauce. The red salsa has a good kick to it, and was too spicy for my wife and kid.I ordered the crab enchilada lunch portion and enjoyed the creamy goodness. ET did not skimp on the crab meat, either. I would order this entree again. My wife had a salad and my daughter had the fajitas. Neither of them was impressed with the fajita meat seasoning. No problems with service. Water were filled and the food came quickly.Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but my wife and daughter do not think they will return to this location."
"We came here for dinner on a Sat. evening around 6:00pm with the family of 5. The hostess seat us right away, no waiting. Cami (Camila) our waitress was very sweet, nice, & informative. She definitely has great customer service & very attentive in checking on us for empty plates and refills in our drinks. My husband order the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo $13.49 4/5 stars. My son and I shared the combo for 2 beef fajitas with flower tortillas $36.39 4/5 stars. My 2 littles one got the kids meals, both chicken tenders $6.69 4/5 stars. All the food was pretty decent."
"This is the reason I come here and this location has messed up on this order so many times but new management completely killed it this time. Food was hot tasted great, and our waitress "LA" very attentive to our needs. She was awesome and helped us place an order for a party we are having 3 days from now."
"We were not expecting this quality and variety from a small highway town "cafe"! Upscale ambiance and amazing flavor Mexican flair. It isn't a typical Mexican restaurant, but it isn't Tex-Mex either. Service was very attentive, prices were reasonable given the current inflation, and flavors were amazing. My husband wanted a gallon of the seafood enchilada sauce!"
"Authentic Mexican food with wonderful service and great decor. My family had a celebratory dinner here and were blown away at the flavor of the dishes. I enjoyed the caldo de res. The chips and salsa was delicious. I enjoyed the temperature and the spice of the salsa. Our waitress, Sarahi was very nice and kind."
"This is one of the many Fajita Petes in the Houston area. This particular location is run by an Indian family. I once called to place an order for a party I was hosting in the area, but realized they were just as expensive at Pappasitos, so I cancelled the order. A year later I was in the area again and decided to dine in. Yes you can dine in here also, even though most of their orders are for delivery and or carry out like a pizza place.I've only eaten the beef from here, but it tastes strikingly similar to Lupe Tortillas. So you are getting the restaurant quality, just don't have to pay for the tip if you dine in. The fajitas for one will set you back about $18. First up were the chips and salsa. The salsa is served warm and is just okay. No, they don't give you hot beans also with the chips. The beef fajitas are pretty good for a quick spot....much better than taco cabana and like I said very similar to Lupe just down the street. The charro beans come with chunks of beef fajita in it. Sides are plentiful and you receive enough meat to make at least 3 tacos. If not 4. They only give you 2 tortillas initially which is chincy, but they probably don't want to waste them since they are homemade. Just ask for more of you run out and they are gratis.Overall, a pretty good experience here. I'll have to put them on my backup list of fajita places."
"It's a hidden gem, located in a shopping plaza across HEB (Louetta Glen & Holzwarth). Clean & cozy, the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. Food tastes fresh (not greasy), is flavorful & cooked well, and portions are generous. Our first time here, we shared the Parrillada Paiso for 2. It was an extravagant mountain of grilled meat (served with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and tortillas) that could have easily fed a small family! The short ribs and carne asada fajitas were marinated well & tender... A definite bang for your buck.My only critique is that I wasn't a fan of the salsas. The red salsa was too chunky for my liking. The big pieces of vegetables were a little too much for each bite and weighed too heavy on the chips.... The green salsa is a verde-tomatillo sauce that was a little too tart for me.Enjoyed the ambiance very much.We will likely come back to try other menu items."
"The best place in Madisonville I seriously eat here 3 times a week Margaritas are on point.Foods great new building is awesome. Service can be slow but they just moved locations. They will catch up soon"
"Located inside a strip center on the very corner is this "La Fiesta Restaurant" and let me tell you the entire experience here was excellent!! Vibrantly Decorated and even better Musica in the background!! Playing traditional selections that matched the traditional plates and cuisine!! Everything was Delicious from the handmade Salsa and Chip's to the Nachos! Huge portions and very reasonable prices as well. Table service right away and they even have outdoor space too. (Too Hot )Designated parking spaces around the perimeter plus ample parking elsewhere. Again Delicious Authentic dishes and saborso comida!! Loved the whole experience and we will definitely come back here again!! Muchos Gracias Amigos"
"My visits to Torchy's are always consistently good and this location was no exception. Lots of parking in the lot. Service was quick and friendly. The queso and tacos were great as always."
"We've been here a few times and the food has always been pretty good. Each time we have come in, the service is always fast and the people are really nice and friendly. I usually go with one of their fajita choices and have yet to be disappointed with any of them. On top of all that, the prices for the amount of food you get are pretty nice so this place is definitely worth a visit."
"We came on a Thursday around 8:00 and it was not busy at all. I ordered a margarita and it took awhile to come out. It wasn't pricey at all which I liked and the margarita was spot on. Ordered the Gloria's Super Special and it was good. I wasn't blown away but it was good. I really liked the plantain and remember the sour cream was really good too. They have a HH menu until 6:00 so I would like to come back and check out their specials."
"Just ordered their green enchiladas for lunch! Hot dang, these are delicious. The best I've had in this area. I will be ordering them again. Thank you, Mary!"
"Ahh so many great memories at Chapultepec. Absolutely love this place (and have for many years), and glad it is still going strong! The food here is delicious, and the people who run this place are the absolute nicest. Some of my favorites are the tortas, tacos el carbon, and the queso. The caldo de res is so good when you're feeling under the weather. Tortilla chips are killer too. This is some good ole Tex-Mex, and will definitely satisfy your fix.Now that Ruchi's on West Alabama and Shepherd is closed, my go-to for late night Mexican bites is at Chapultepec or La Tapatia.Hope everyone comes out and continues to support this business!"
"Reason for 4 stars is because of the bacon and tortillas. Bacon was too large and needed to be chopped a bit , i broke it down by hand ;) , Also the tortillas are a bit on the Thickk sidee so yeah . Maybe i'm just being picky , i'm giving y'all my best opinion. They are large breakfast tacos! Texas size if i may say . They were good! don't get me wrong! Might come back and just get 2 instead of 3 . I ordered mine with bacon , egg , potatoe , beans , and my dumba** forgot to add cheese. NEXT TIME It was a nice treat for lunch , i was very thankful for them to still be serving breakfast tacos at 1:30pm , gold star for that one! Also the staff are very nice and genuine folks. :)"
"This is my favorite Pappasito's in ALL of Houston Texas. This is also the original Pappasito's. Lots of free parking here. The bar here is a bit small BUT this restaurant has a HH Monday-Friday, so go. I recently did a week BDay celebration and husband and I went to this restaurant on. Tuesday for dinner. Guess what this Pappasito's currently has a Tuesday and Wednesday Fajitas special that is dine in ONLY. Beef & Chicken fajitas, beans, rice guacamole and flour tortillas for $29.95. !!That and a frozen margarita for $3.95 was a great dinner. Then all the servers came and sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a complimentary dessert!! Wow, what a great dinner. I highly recommend this place."
