"This review is based off of 2 visits in the last 1 week. One was during the week and the other on a Sunday morning! Both visits are service was fine; it was pretty standard. The food on our 1st visit was great! Everything was as we asked on the 1st try! However, our 2nd visit was not so much. Idk why people feel as if everyone like parsley and cilantro but I don't and Ive never had it randomly put on my eggs before. So they recooked my eggs which then came out runny. Bacon definitely under cooked. Had to pretty much send my whole plate back. My potatoes were not cooked completely and had to send them back not once but 4 times before they came out right. And I felt bad sending them back but I was very clear i wanted them completely cooked, actually I wanted them over cooked. Looking at the pictures; uou can see the difference. By the time they did come out we were done eating. Honestly the only things i enjoyed this 2nd trip was the juice and avocado. The other person was happy with all their food. Ill take this as a bad day.. idk!"

"Date night and I wanted to try out hookah for the first time.Open pretty late, we came here after drinks at Woosters. My date ordered the mixed grill kabob and a hot tea, He really liked it. We got a strawberry hookah and it was pretty cool. It does taste like strawberry. It was nice. They had live music the night we came and the singer had a very good voice. He sang in his native tongue and I enjoyed seeing the customers clap and dance. The majority of the customers were men. We were the only non Middle Easterners there. I'll probably go to a hookah joint again but somewhere more diverse. Cool place though. Very reasonable prices."

"Fav dishes Eggs not Benedict received rave reviews from my husband and friend. Next time I might have to order this too! Ham n cheese is my favorite kinda sandwich. Lots of ham and just the right proportion of cheese and cranberry chipotle jam on perfectly toasted Texas toast. My comfort food sandwich. Philly cheesesteak was a winner according to my friend and had a nice spicy kick from the jalapeño aioli. The patty melt was just ok - thick beefy patty cooked medium well which was good but husband said it was missing some moisture / sauce factor. Portions are just right to maybe a teeny bit too much. I wish I had more room for dessert! Service was friendly and experienced, and getting everyone seated and served as fast as they could on a busy Saturday. Enjoyed finding this place and would definitely come back whenever we're in the area!"

Area is mixed and slightly sketchy at places, the shopping plaza is fine during the day, but I'd feel less comfortable walking here at night.My mushroom Swiss burger and fries were great and they gave me a lot of condiments.I'm not sure I like the payment screen it automatically places different tips and there's not a place to put in a different amount - it forces you to put the tip before you pay.Recommended if you are in the area, but I will probably stick with the River Oaks and Woodward for convenience and safety."

"The Yemeni wave of coffee has landed in Houston, and I absolutely love it!I won't specifically name the competition, but there have been other Yemeni coffee shops that have appeared all throughout the city, none of them have disappointed. As a Latino guy that is addicted to coffee, I've become a fan of any java from Yemen! My brothers and I pulled up to this location late at night on Christmas Eve, it was one of the few places that was open on the holiday. As we walked in, the shop itself was beautiful, spacious, and absolutely popping! There was neat decor all over that to me speaks about the diversity that Houston has to offer! You can walk into all types of business and absolutely be transported to some other place. There was a long line that night, but we didn't mind, as we were eager to find a place that would caffeinate us. All the baristas seemed friendly, and they provided good service. The menu offered all types of delicious teas, coffees, refreshers, and pastries that looked absolutely delicious. We ordered two iced lattes, and a matcha latte. They had different milk options to chose from and we decided to take the oat milk route. The total came out to about 24 bucks. It wasn't necessarily cheap! However, the drinks were delicious! My brother loved his Matcha, and I found my latte to be very tasty and hit me right where I needed on Christmas. There has to be some extra deliciousness that comes with Coffee from Yemen, and I am here for it!"

"Vibe- This spot has such a clean dope look and feel! The vibrant orange and blue are so welcoming!! There's plenty of seating outside and inside. Great place to study or get work done. There's outlets all around!Customer service- Great! The barista that took my order was fantastic. I asked her about the coffee shop and she gave me a thorough explanation about the idea behind the coffee shop. I got a chance to actually meet the owner too and she was so sweet :) The owner is into fitness and coffee and so she combined the two! Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha latte with oatmilk and the homemade orange cinnamon syrup on the side to try (the barista recommended it!) I also got a vegan chocolate zucchini muffin that the owner recommended; it was all good!Parking- There's about 15 spots in the lot"

"Reviews led us astray this time. This place is a small hole in the wall which isn't a deal breaker for us....but it's pretty grungy. My wife went with the happy family lunch combo, comes with your choice of soup, we picked wonton....good broth but the wontons were not. The crab rangoon was very good, the miniscule egg roll was average. I got the General Tso's chicken lunch special. The chicken had little breading which is a good thing but it was very dry and chewy. The venetian blinds by our table were covered in a thick layer of dust, the soy sauce container on our table had stuff stuck to the side of it. I love supporting mom n pop places but it's a no for this place."

"Although I'm no stranger to Siphon, I found myself here unexpectedly, after realizing I had 0 desire to wait 2 hours for coffee at a packed new hotspot in Montrose. But this visit exceeded my expectations because Siphon now offers food...and I don't mean the empanadas from years past (no shade to the empanadas, they're pretty dang good), but I'm talking chicken pesto sandwiches, tacos, avo toast, chicken and waffles- a stacked menu, and it's giving :DI tried the chicken sandwich and...wow, all I can say is that they're serving restaurant quality food! If you're new to Siphon, I'd advise visiting during off hours, and they're incredibly popular and space is limited. During these times, parking can require a walk, but I use it as an excuse to walk off the chicken sandwich calories."

Thus far they are open Monday - Saturday, 7 AM to 3 PM. Come on by.I ordered a large smoothie. It taste good and cost less than $6."

"I've been in the area for a few years and have never tried this place. My husband finally convinced me to stop by. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Omelette, pancakes, hash browns and fried eggs. We also had an order of biscuits and gravy. That was probably my least favorite. The gravy was salty and the biscuits were not what I am used to in a biscuit. They were very dense and lacking flavor. Everything else was just alright. My husband, on the other hand, loved it and can't wait to go back (he can write his own review!). At the end, I think you will either love it or hate it. It's all depending on your food preferences."

You walk down a path through the trees and come across the restaurant! There are tortoises on either side of the bridge you have to cross to go inside! We were greeted by friendly staff when we walked in! Despite the heat of summer, we chose to sit outside due to the fans! All the trees helped to block the sun, so we were fine! Plus my little girl got to run around and watch the turtles walk around! Our waitress was very attentive and did not rush us! They had huge mimosas!! We decided to split the blue burger! Tons of flavor and plenty of food for 2! My daughter loved the grilled cheese!! If you've been thinking about stopping, stop!! It's a precious place with lots of options!!! "Started coming here when it was The Egg and I. I'm not sure if ownership is different- there's a lot of similarities so maybe just a new name? I thought the food overall improved though!My options were limited as I can't eat red meat, so I went with the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It was sooo good! The egg was perfectly poached, and the salmon wasn't too fishy. The salad that it comes with is light and lemony. I loved that I was full but not heavy afterwards.My husband got the Trifecta, also a great choice. He said the bacon was cooked perfectly and the Belgian waffle we shared was both soft and crunchy- just perfect!My only complaint were the potatoes. They were definitely undercooked to the point they were raw, but I didn't deduct as we didn't say anything to the staff, who were pleasant and helpful. By the time we tried them, we were getting full and more focused on the rest of the food."

"Came here with another for some Lebanese snacks and baked goods. I had heard many good things about this place, and it did not disappoint.Everything is made fresh to order. We selected an assortment of items including regular and fluffy kaak, lahme bil ajiin, falafel, meat pockets, veggie plate, butter sugar pie, and of course Turkish coffee. My favorite item was the regular kaak stuffed with sausage and olives. Yum! The fluffy one with just cheese was not bad, but it needed a better balance of textures and flavors. The lahme bil ajiin was interesting and delightful, a bit sour in taste with flavors I am not accustomed to. The bite sized meat pockets were tasty as well. The butter sugar pie was not a pie at all! It was a flakey pastry instead covered with a sweet syrup and sprinkled with crushed pistachios. It was just okay...The Turkish coffee though, that was tasty and packed quite the punch! It was my first time trying it and hopefully not my last, as it was quite enjoyable.Overall cool experience with some unique offerings I wouldn't find normally."

The place is cutesy, with festive decorations. The staff were so friendly and kind. The 2 girls at the front did not introduce themselves, and I forgot to ask their names. But they were patient and smiley and welcoming. There were a good number of customers in and out, which is a good sign for business. I did not get a chance to learn more about the business from the staff like I usually do, such as the concept, and why they started etc since I was on my way to the event, sadly My Elite week treat, I chose the Blackberry Basil Coffee (hot coffee) + a blackberry cheesecake kolache. I thought the coffee idea was unique, so I chose that. I actually enjoyed it. Very basily, which I was not mad at. The kolache I basically treated like a dessert. I heated mine up when I got home, and it was gooey.To support this local business, I also ordered 2 savory kolaches. Bacon, egg, and cheese & sausage, egg and cheese. I think I was expecting more seasoning or razzle dazzle, but it was fine.Cheers to this local business, with such friendly customer service, I know it will continue to do well."

"I've been coming here for almost 12 years. They make fresh french bread in-house and it's made daily. For $1.00 you can get 5 small rolls or 3 big ones. It's the same french bread you eat with your banh mi (vietnamese sandwich). If you like vietnamese sandwiches, they have a deal where you can buy 5 and you get one free. Make sure though when you're taking the sandwiches to go, ask them to put the veggies on the side. There are four other things that I love from this eatery: pate Chaud, almond croissants, vanilla cream puffs & fresh sugar cane juice. It's a nice little hidden gem next in the SW part of chinatown."

Not too sweet but the perfect level of sugar to where you don't feel like you're immediately getting a cavity.Also had brunch. I tried the French toast and breakfast sandwich. The French toast was simple but okay. The sandwich was a little messy. I wasn't a fan of the bacon, almost as if It wasn't freshly cooked . I would've preferred a different bun as well. The hamburger bun was out of place for breakfast."

"This is not where I usually go for coffee, but I need to come more often because it's a great place!I'm still trying to figure out my go to drink from here. I like iced coffee, but not all iced coffee is created equal. So far I prefer their hot coffees over the iced. The drinks aren't bad, but I need to find the one that I just love.Regardless of the coffee situation, here's what I love:The food - they get their food from the Pine Street Cafe (I think that's what it's called) right across the street, and it's delivered daily and fresh. The quiche - my goodness it's good. They run out fast though. They also have pastries, cookies, muffins, etc. as well as at least 1 vegan option. I don't tend to pay attention to the amount of vegan options. Anyways, everything I've eaten from there has been *chefs kiss* delicious. TRY THE QUICHE, but leave a slice for me. ;-)It's also nice that they have tables, and a little seating area with comfy chairs on one side. I often see people working on laptops, so it must be a good place for that as well, but I've never gone there to work. I just love the cozy home-like feeling. It's like you went to your friends house for coffee and quiche (because I always get the quiche lol). It's a great place to go for a little coffee date, chat with a friend or loved one... and there is a drive thru if you're in a hurry.It's a great place and they have another location too. It was on Spencer Hwy, but they're moving to Deer Park."

"I was really excited to hear that Tout suite opened up a location in downtown since it's close to my office! This location is in Trebly park and they have a pick up window so you can quickly street park, pick up your order, and go. When I went in for the first time I was impressed by how gorgeous the interior was! This cafe is a 3.5 but I decided to round up since I like the ambiance of this location a lot more. Ambiance: 5What I love about this cafe is that there a lot of windows which allows alot of light to come in. It's also alot more quite then the Commerce location. Pastry: 3Unfortunately, like the pastries at the other location this place can be a hit or miss. Which is why overall I would give it a 3. However, they have an abundance of desserts so I'll definitely come back to try the ones that peaked my interest! Pasteis de Nata: 3This rating may be low since I am use to the ones from Macau/Asian Bakeries. While the pastry was flaky and not too oily the filling was a bit on the bland side. While it was ok I wouldn't come back specifically for this item Macarons: 5So after taking an antihistamine, I had one of their macarons and it was just as good as I remembered! It wasn't to sweet, flavorful, and the perfect texture of a meringue cookie! Parking: You'll need to street park or park at the Green Street Garage."

"I definitely support this store's mission, so having to give it a poor review isn't the most comfortable thing, but I didn't have a great visit. Three issues:First, the americano I ordered was initially prepared poorly, being lukewarm, overly full (i.e. I couldn't remove the lid without creating a mess), and weak (possibly under-extracted, and/or possibly over-diluted). After a few sips, I asked for it to be remade; the second one was much better, though still not one of the better americanos I've had in Houston.Then I got a croissant, and it was waaaay too buttery. I know that for many people there's no such thing as "too buttery", but one's hands really shouldn't be slick with grease after eating a croissant.Third, a half hour into my visit, and about an hour before closing, they started cleaning the floors with a detergent that I found chemically offensive (I have asthma, so am super conscious about such things). At this point, I couldn't stay.All of that out of the way, I will acknowledge that the service I received was warm and friendly, the space itself is welcoming, and the free infused water is a nice touch.I'll return with the hope of a better experience."
