"I contacted her for my wedding and she responded initially asking about about my budget, etc. I responded about my budget and told her what desserts I would like and wanted to know if she could make them and how many I could get for my budget. I never got a response back most likely because my budget was too low for her, so maybe she felt like it wasn't worth her time. I felt like it was rude and unprofessional for her to leave me hanging like that. She could have at least responded and informed me that she did not want my business."
"This spot offers a solid haleem bowl that is flavorful and comes with an excellent portion size given the very reasonable $8 price tag. They have gathered some hype since the food truck opened up on Highway 6 & Voss, and to give credit where it's due, the haleem they serve certainly carries substance to back up the hype. They load up your bowl with lots of warm haleem and top it off fully loaded with jalapeños, cilantro, lemon, and fried onion crisps. You can customize your toppings too and at the end of the day, it's hard not to appreciate the value you're getting out of the purchase. Their customer service is good too and if they add some naan/bread options to their menu, that will complete the experience in totality."
"Why 5 stars? Because these fancy bruschetta's are something I could eat every day. --- --- ---I've wanted to visit Postino for a while now and just hadn't had the chance. But a nearby errand that took a lot longer than expected gave me the opportunity to finally make it happen. I sat at the bar and was solo, but I think the bartenders were a bit disappointed that I was only drinking water. It was the middle of the day on a Thursday and I am not much for day drinking, so I was very content to be on a food-only mission. As for the food, I went with the 4 bruschetta's for like $17. In order of favorite to least favorite:1 Mexican Corn2 Prosciutto di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone3 Smoked Salmon & Pesto4 Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & TomatoI would happy order the first 3 again - all are an easy 5-stars for me. #4 was still enjoyable, but I am not a huge tomato person and tomato really overwhelmed each bite. Overall, I would love to come back because there are tons of tasty looking options on the menu and the vibe here makes me feel a lot cooler than I actually am."
"My daughter loved it and that's what important. I ordered her the Oreo cookie milkshake and the strawberry cheesecake dessert. The milkshake only comes in a jar if you get the smaller one and it's plastic. The large milkshake comes in a regular clear cup. The desserts come in nice little glass jars. The shop was nice and clean and service was friendly. The shake was picture ready and the appearance made it that much better. I would recommend this shop if your a fan of sweets"
"It was a pleasure of introducing my Canadian Chinese colleague to his first BBQ experience: sausage and brisket with sides of beans and watermelon salad. Wish I could have had the salad too, but his was the last serving. Tried ordering Jalapeño Corn spoon bread, but they'd run out. Instead, I had the terrible slaw. Was it supposed to have dressing? Other side was ok potato salad. Sausage was generic but generous helping. Of course brisket was the star of the show: Deliciously smoked and tender.Cannot say much about ambiance: very small space seats 12-16 guests. I was thrilled to find a table for two inside as there were unshaded outdoor tables. With Real Feel temperature approaching 100F, I would have taken my order to my car and cranked the AC to maximum while jamming to FM 107.Service was Texas Friendly: so Amazingly genuine you could cut it with a knife!"
"The best BBQ ever. We come all the way from Austin/Pflugerville to get it. Reggie has perfected the spices and everything is always smoked to perfection. The 2.5 hour drive is so worth it."
"Best burgers in Magnolia. Period.I love the Spooky Spicy Burger. It's got just enough spice to tingle your lips and tickle your belly. The rest of my family usually gets the bacon cheeseburger. The zucchini sticks and onion rings are top notch. No flimsy fried veggies here. They used to have an inside restaurant before, but during the 1488 road construction, they decided to switch it up with a food truck and an inside sitting area adjacent. I am so glad they are back and flipping out the best burgers in Magnolia!"
"Excellent! I had the jerk chicken and it was amazing, I highly recommend. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food, you should try this truck."
"I ordered to go yesterday afternoon after googling for close by Cajun Style cuisine. I also checked out the Yelp review and pictures from the menu. I had hot honey shrimp and the Surf n Turf Pasta. Hot Honey Shrimp is generally as in appetizer but I requested for it to be served as a shrimp basket. Hot and spicy , but very good. The surf n turf pasta is very filling with three proteins included . Salmon is blackened and very well seasoned. There's definitely other items I look forward to trying.I would also like to touch base on the negative reviews that people have left in terms of the establisment's ambiance. This restaurant is up and coming. You negative nay sayers act like the likes of Pappas,Boudreaux's, or any large scale restaurant's etc, did not all come from humble beginnings in terms of location or decor. I also know that Black Owned Businesses are put under a massive microscope as compared to others.I say all that to say this : La Roux Table, keep doing what you're doing. Let your food speak for itself. Your clientele and business will prosper."
"Stopped in for some BBQOrdered the Brisket, jalapeños sausage, and ribs, with green beans and monthly special carrots and broccoli. He was ok, the brisket and ribs were a little fatty for me. Jalapeños sausage was excellent.Service was fast and friendly.Inside is super cool with nice stuff to check out. Pics attached"
"Postino Montrose was on my bookmark for a long while ever since Montrose Mining Company closed. I always wanted to stop by and enjoy the food because I read so great reviews. But it's always past the closing time. I went there last night. Simply because I was really hungry after an event at Houston Eagles. I remember it was shortly after 9. Because I was going to get in the VIP line at South Beach. But I thought maybe I can grab a quick dinner. Then, head there before 10. Since the menu is simple, I thought my order would be quick. Guess what? It was a long wait for Crispy Cauliflower. I already wrote a Yelp review and posted photos at a different restaurant by the time the appetizer came. I was very disappointed with the "crispy" part. The only crispy thing was the rehydrated raisins. The waitress came to take the order shortly before I finished the appetizer. I ordered Italian Beef Panini Dip with salad. The food was fresh. The dip was too salty. The roast beef was bland, maybe because I asked for no cheese. Oh by the way, I don't see any vegan dishes. Everything has cheese. Vegetarian maybe. I had to ask for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. Sadly, the kitchen failed to replace the saltiness of cheese with something. Another problem, waitress didn't come by to check on my water level or how I was doing. I saw another waitress stepping on a chair to reach for wine bottle behind me. She did say "excuse me". But don't you have stepladder? That's a safety hazard for your employees. While I was not getting any attention, I wrote my second review and posted some photos and videos at a different restaurant. I was about to finish my third review; waitress finally came to check on me. It got me thinking. Was I not fit for the crowd? Was it because I'm Asian? What a miserable dining experience. While looking at the check-in offer on lunch, I'm contemplating whether I should come back. I need some explanation first."

So unorganized and rude. Promised to do a cake for us and we discussed all the details in multiple emails. She forgot to send me an invoice after I asked twice her preferred method of payment and then one day before the baby shower, Erica tells me she does not have time since I did not pay a week before. I am a repeat customer and always paid as soon as I received her or anyone's invoice but SHE never sent me the original invoice. Unbelievable--now I am in an awful situation--I would not use her if you need to ensure it will be done--she had no empathy that she was ruining my sisters baby shower because of her lack of organization. She never once told me she had a deadline of when I needed to pay or I would be removed from her bake schedule. She complained that she was a one person shop with no staff--so beware because she will cherry pick what she wants to actually do!!!!

This is the haleem that all other haleems should be compared to, though none will measure up. I love how they incorporate the fried onions and ginger directly into it, lots of flavor, enough meatiness, enough but not too much spice, and the thick consistency make it excellent. The fact that it's consistently great every time I've ordered it (10+) makes it even better since food trucks can sometimes suffer from that perspective. I actually haven't even been to Houston in a year and a half but I've eaten Haleem Bowl MANY times in that time because it's the only thing I ask my parents to bring from Houston when they visit. Even frozen/reheated it's better than anything in Austin

Postinos has truly become one of my favorite hangout spots!!! After initially coming here for an elite event, I find myself with friends or family coming here for a board and some wine! I mean, who can pass up a $6 glass of wine before 5:00 with a delicious array of charcuterie boards!I brought my MIL here for an event through Eventbright and I tried the chicken and mozzarella panini which was super yummy! She tried their sweet potato wedges and the mixed green salad, which she very much enjoyed! Service is always top notch regardless of which location I go to. Our server was super attentive, and even when we were done eating and enjoying the event we were at, we ordered more food to go and she came to find us later when it was done, going above and beyond!

In summary, their food is good, but their pos system and the 3% fee is a joke. I surely hope they fix this soon.2 signs by the cash registers state a 3% fee is charged for credit card transactions, but not for cash or debit. Only one problem, it's still charging you for debit, and most customers won't even notice this since the amount is pretty small. When I noticed they charged me after handing them my card and saying I'm paying "with debit", they continued to try to prove me wrong and they didn't seem to know that both of their signs say no fee for debit cards. I had to point this out to the cashier. The review shouldn't be about complaining or their stupid fees, but it is about my experience. They ended up refunding me about 52 cents after I felt like I wasted my time to point out a problem on their end.Word of advice, just come in with cash!!I ordered the loaded potato with moist brisket, then even asked me what type brisket I wanted. The brisket was pretty dry, and I sent a photo of it to my friend and he agreed the brisket looked on the dry side. I just went ahead and ate it anyway since I was hungry. The potato was really good.I added 1/4 lb of sausage. Sausage is $22/lb on the menu, not sure how mine came out to be $7.13. Like I said, watch the prices they charge you like a hawk. Sausage was OK, not great if you're a sausage snob like me.The main reason I want was to try their banana pudding. Turns out they only had a spiced apple & English toffee the day I came. They say pudding is mainly Saturday.

This place is everything a family owned business should be! When you walk in your greeted by smiling faces, the sliders and burger we got were excellent, you can really tell the food is made with love! And I loved the little decorations throughout the restaurant, the owner later said were his wife's touch Even the honey they sell is local, from another member of their family! The sweetest thing was their Super Burgers Family Wall covered with pictures, it really warmed our hearts! Definitely stop by

"I appreciate being able to come here for some amazing homemade biscuits. I love biscuits so much! Strawberry jelly .. I'm sorry I got lost in the sauce no pun intended! They also offer some good French toast but kind of expensive for one slice. I think $3. non -Merci! If You're in the mood add some fruit on top..I've tried the chicken fried chicken which is decent when served and eaten right away. We know how the crust gets after 10 minutes. The grits are ok. My go to now is the fried fish (to go) that I pair with My own creamy grits and eggs, LoL. I've dined in prior to covid and the experience has been pleasant. The establishment is always busy so expect a line and filled seats. I've sat a the bar to catch a game too. So check out this local eatery if You're in the area.Located in the Kroger parking lot! Parking can be limited sometimes on the weekend!"
"Best tacos in Houston. Hired him for an event. Arnldo is super communicative and responsive."
"They were vendors at this Dope RAXX.BU Vintage Market event and when a friend of mine poured his into a boat, I knew I had to get some. I got the brisket + elote. The brisket was seasoned Perfectly- just enough bbq sauce, the elote was ELITE. Dudes were gracious and the portion was So good."
"A hop skip and a jump from the Woodlands Mall, it's easy to relax into this peacefully decorated spot. It's more than the relaxing soundtrack, and quiet patrons, it's moreso the spaciousness, inviting service, stress free parking (bonus of a suburban restaurant), and the prospect of authentic cuisine in the area that's not categorized as "American" or "Modern American" (ie every popular Woodlands restaurant). On our visit, I was unfortunately distracted from my zen bubble as soon as our food arrived. Although the food was presented beautifully, myself and my guest immediately noticed the tables (ours included) sat too far away from the booth seats for comfort. I get it- usually this is a minor thing, but the distance was pretty drastic, so much so that it made eating a chore. I'm not sure if this is every diners experience (being that I'm 4'11" with the arm span of someone my stature), but is imagine it effects a majority of diners, and while I love a good workout, it's not exactly my idea of a relaxing meal.Other than that, the meal was fine, the curry was comforting, but I'm still in search of a Thai Food joint that will knock my socks off. All is forgiven with amazing food! As always, I plan to give them another try in the future. I'll select a different dish and maybe a table instead of a booth. :)"
"We went to a pumpkin patch with our little bit and we were hungry. Came across this BBQ restaurant and stopped. The menu was huge and in I mean, I would read it very well! I only wanted a quarter pound of thinly sliced turkey and a person creamed corn. The turkey was good, but not thinly sliced. The corn was delicious. Like home-cooked. Hubs had fried Catfish and Coleslaw. The Catfish was good per hubs and the Coleslaw too. The service is counterstrike to order, but bring it to you at the table. The ambiance like a hunting lodge. The stuffed dead animal were everywhere. Our little bit was ok after we explained they weren't only to "get" her. The place is busy, but itBBQ. only ok BBQ. Corn was great."

"Great Crawfish, sausage, mushrooms! Chris , the owner, welcomed us personally. Great atmosphere. We'll return soon. Open til mid June."
"Upon exploring the amazing city of Houston, we decided to get some BBQ : this place was amazing. Monica at the bar served the best wine and with a kind smile. The food was delicious and seasoned just enough to where you can still taste the flavor of the brisket itself. I'm a cole slaw fan so I devoured that as well : great prices and the very best bbq sauce. I will be ordering some after we return home to LA as the bottles they sell wouldn't fit into my carry on. Thank you for everything Monica, we will definitely be back!"
"Amazing brisket. Best in Houston. We love this bbq place. Everything is delicious including their sides."
"Kelz Kreative Kitchen is worth every penny. I ordered wings and bread pudding. When I took a bite from the wings, they had a fresh and juicy flavor. The breading is different and it stands out.As for the banana pudding. My wife had the first spoon and never saw it again. She said it tasted rich and smooth. I'm for sure she will ask for the recipe. Thank you for the meal and God bless you Kelz Kreative Kitchen."
"Came here after hanging out with some Yelp Friends at a Korean BBQ joint because we wanted some desserts and this place was close enough and we'd never tried it.When we arrived here, the place was empty. So we got full attention from both staff members who were working that night. And let me tell you, they were the nicest, sweetest staff member. Give these girls a raise!!There were several tables inside the shop but there were also some tables outside if you're wanting to chill (see what I did there?) in the hot, humid Houston weather for whatever reason. Since the place was empty, we opted to sit inside with the cold AC blasting.Between all of use, we tried different flavors, different toppings, and we even tried the Strawberry Sando. Everything was delicious and on point. Prices weren't too bad either. If you live in the area, you definitely to give this place a try. I personally wouldn't mind coming back here in the future for some ice cream."
"A gem of a coffee roaster.. headquartered in Gulfton, near Chimney Rock. This place is a bit difficult to find due to the aesthetic looks from the outside. You'll notice a row of standard office looking buildings. Makes it a bit of an adventure trying to locate this coffee lab. Java Pura is the local soul of the best coffee beans in Houston. You may find their products at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, Central Market or any catering events. This lab is not a coffee shop, so don't go looking for a barista that can make you latte art. Rather the folks behind the business are incredibly passionate about their beans. They are super friendly and will give you a tour if you're interested in one. I visited a friend here and had the pleasure in viewing their machines and products up close. The beans are roasted in the lab and carefully packaged and shipped across various destinations. If you're interested in purchasing a package of coffee beans, you may do so during their business hours. The flavours are fresh and very aromatic. Grinding your beans at home will help to preserve the overall flavor. Reemerge and awaken back to life. I've been an advocate of supporting local as displayed in my 11 years of Yelp rendezvous. Java Pura is an example of supporting a business that really displays their heart and passion through their beans, packaging, and curation. Have any questions? They'll happily assist you. All things in this lab are science + art related. Once you make a switch to their beans, you'll never go back to your Folgers. Whats in your cup?"
"The barbecue sandwich was massive to start. I got a plate combo that included a sandwich and two sides: green beans and corn. The barbecue sandwich was smoked to a well cooked and tender bite with a fantastic flavor. There was only one mild barbecue sauce option. The green beans were not a hit for me. They tried something different that didn't work. It was a tangy but yet smoky spice mix that didn't complement the natural flavor of the green bean. Quite pungent bitter taste. The corn was good. The best thing on the side menu may have been the macaroni as they had run out before I arrived. The baked potato was humongous and was stuffed with brisket that had great flavor as well. It was enough for two entrees . I actually got it half and half with meat: pulled pork an brisket. Covered in cheese, sour cream, and bbq sauce. This is a great option."
"Came here for brunch when we're in the area on the weekend and there were plenty of seats indoor and outdoors. We got some plates to share!- onion soup- bruschetta tasting including salami, prosciutto, mushrooms and tomato - shakshuka- shrimp scampi- half BLT sandwich and half saladAlso got the wine tasting which was great! All the food was delicious and arrived pretty quickly"
"This is a good truck called Betty Jeans Cajun Cuisine located at Katy-Hockley Cut Off at Erma Rose Winery. This food truck has amazing food at the best prices! I ordered the 4 pc chicken wings -$8 and upgraded the fries to Mardi Gras fries which consisted of an Alfredo sauce sausage, chicken, and shrimp for an additional $4. Total for two orders came out ti $25 tax included. It was the best $25 spent! Food had soo much flavor and was soo fulfilling for the price! I had went earlier that day to another food truck for lunch, spent double the price and was under impressed. The wait was long as there were 10 orders in front of me but it was worth the wait. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely return!"
"Wife and I were looking for a place to relax for a few minutes as the our boy was at local orthodontist for a longer appt. She had been at Postino a few days prior and recommended we try it. So we did. She had a glass of something wine and I had a local craft on tap. The menu had a lot of great offerings but considering it was only 3:00pm, we chose the "build your own bruschetta board". That's a deal. She picked two and I chose two and it was a lot of food - for two. Everything was great. Will certainly come back."
"Good brisket! I wish the sandwich had more meat, though. It also doesn't look like the picture. I was disappointed about the portion size. It comes with lay's chips and drink. I also tried the bacon wrapped boudin and a half rack of ribs. The ribs were good, but they didn't knock my socks off. They're the best ribs I've had so far in this area. The bacon wrapped boudin is very good. It's smoked and has all the right flavors. I will order from here again."
"We ordered food for our teaching staff of almost 100 people. The food was so good!!! We ordered the jambalaya and the blackened chicken Cajun pasta. It was a hit!!!!! At least half the staff asked where we got the food from. The food arrived on time and it was set up nice. We will definitely be using Ella's catering again."
"It ain't Texas if u can't get good smoked meat. Let me tell u, they got all of that. Plus the owner takes pride in his work. Better known as Pit Guru. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I did!!! It's good..."
"I finally came, saw, and ate Tennessee style BBQ! My sister and I visited on Friday afternoon, just after the lunch rush, so I'm not sure if what I experienced is a direct result of this, but I have to stay true to my experience. So, my sister and I were the only two in the restaurant for our entire hour there, aside from to women, one if which was dressed in cook attire, so we assumed she worked there. My sister ordered a lean, sliced brisket sandwich plate, with green beans, and macaroni and cheese, plus spicy BBQ sauce. I ordered the two meat plate which included lean sliced brisket, pulled chicken, baked beans, green beans, and spicy BBQ sauce. I also ordered a lemonade, which I was told was made in-house. My sister and I both wanted the Pineapple Tea, but they didn't have any. Boooo! Note: I usually order sausage with my two meat plates at any BBQ place I visit, but Fainmous only makes pork sausage. Thumbs down for that, even if it's a Tenessee thing! It only allows me to top my review off at three starts. Sorry. We were both feeling the taste of the brisket with the spicy BBQ sauce. I don't know if it's a plus or minus, but the spicy BBQ sauce was merely sauce with crushed pepper flakes in it. It was defintely different. What I wasn't feeling was the fact that we ordered lean brisket, but I wound up peeling off a good amount of fat and leaving it piled on my plate. I respect how other people feel about fat when it comes to brisket, but I don't like fat on mine. Apparently the person preparing my plate thought that he could change my mind. Go figure! The lemonade was pretty good, too, and it was served in an old school mason jar. Nice touch!Overall, the food was pretty good. I wasn't blown over by it, but I had a good experience, especially since one of the two other people in the restaurant was the co-owner, Karen Fain - wife of James Fain (hence the name, "Fainmous"), who engaged us in conversation while we ate. She gave us the history behind Tennessee BBQ. It was a lengthy ride, during lunch, for just a "good" restaurant. A coin toss will determine whether or not we return."
"Great delicious Cajun boiled crawfish! Gotta try them out! Can't wait until crab season is here !!"
"I really really wanted to like this place. (It's at the Fort Bend County Club) It's expensive for what it is and my chicken sandwich was so salty. This was not a good first impression..... but I'll go back again and try something else. I am glad they have breakfast, this area needs breakfast options!"
"Came here for their 4 piece chicken strip meal deal. Buy one get one free.99! Heck yes!$8 and change for 2 meals.. yes please! Their Zaxbys sauce was surprisingly awesome. *whispering* better than canes sauce (in my opinion). Crispy, hot and fresh out of the fryer! The meal comes with "crinkle" fries, coslaw and a piece of butter toast. Definitely recommended for some chicken strip on the go!"
