We'll be back to try all of the fresh fruit combos! We had elote and snow cones on our minds. Can sit outside on the deck with music, ceiling fans, and a great cross breeze."

However, I'm only taking one star off because they are Atleast nice and respectful, unlike the other location. This location has people working that seem to have manners and say nice things versus the other. And imo that goes a long way for a business! Oh and this location still flips the blizzards upside down. The end."

They have a large variety on the menu making it easy to order for the whole family as I'm sure there is something on the menu for everyone. Can't go wrong grabbing a cold sweet treat on a warm day. Drive thru is quick and hardly ever a long line. You can also choose to order from their walk up window."

Gin Y. "We came here for their soft opening and ordered via drive thru. Customer service was ok. The people who greeted us in the beginning were helpful. But, the drive thru had a lot of staff that weren't proactive. A customer in front of us had to come out of his car to ask where his order was despite there being three attendants outside. The parking lot also looked unfinished because there were parts of it that were concrete and other parts that were gravel. As far as the food goes, it was pretty good. But, there's room for improvement. We ordered their Shack burger and Chicken sandwich. The beef patty was flavorful, but a bit too salty. However, the veggies were fresh and the potato bun was fluffy. The strawberry shake was fragrant, although a bit sweet for my liking. The cookies and cream shake was also a bit thick. I think the staff could've blended the cookies in more thoroughly so that it would be easier to drink the shake through the straw. It was still delicious and creamy. The chicken sandwich was juicy, but again, it was a bit too salty. They didn't have the veggie burger at the soft opening. I really wanted to try it. I guess I'll try it at the SL location.Overall, the food was good. I think this location just needs to iron out their food seasoning and consistency, training of their staff, and finishing their parking lot."

So when I saw Yelp suggest it again I thought it was meant to be.I was just expecting a hop in and hop out cafe but it's also a froyo bar which I was NOT expecting at all haha! The vibe and ambience of the establishment was super instagrammable though. It was poppin when I entered and I really only wanted a drink so I had to go around the froyo topping bar. The staff were friendly and quick. I went for the matcha drink with lavender honey in it. It wasn't super sweet but it was sweet enough. Iris T. "My husband and I go to the Galleria A LOT for near nightly walks so we had our eye on a curious stand on the ground floor behind the Starbucks that had bright green accents. It finally opened! The place is pronounced "Yao-Yao" - it's an international chain from Spain so the double l's are pronounced like a "y" - and it's their first location in the USA. They serve milk based frozen yogurt... sorry, not vegan friendly. They pride themselves at being a green company and offering healthy froyo low in sugar. We finally made sure we had room for dessert one day and we ordered the small which was gone in no time. The lady manager was there (I think it's co-owned by a husband-and-wife couple) and both her and the other employee were very helpful and enthusiastic. They offer a few size options: small, medium and large in standard waxed paper cups, llaoglass in a cute little glass container, petitllao in a really small bright green container, a parfait of sorts (forgot the name), and to-go in an insulated green apple in both 16 oz and 32 oz sizes... The prices are VERY reasonable. All come with a set quantity of toppings. They don't have as many topping options as Pinkberry and I wish they had more fruit options but they do have [DRY] kiwi, strawberry, crushed speculoos, candied almonds, granola, mini cookies and [SAUCE] hazelnut chocolate (think Nutella), speculoos/biscoff, a fruity one (green apple or passion fruit), chocolate... They also only have one froyo option. The froyo is milky-er than the other froyo places I'm used to here but I also don't feel like rinsing with water afterwards. I decided I liked it right away and is good without toppings. My husband needed to get used to it and took a few tastes but he was the one who later insisted on the Apple. We opted for biscoff sauce that first time (1 topping for the small). Yum! They were really generous with the toppings. Went away too fast since I shared. It was so well priced we returned the next night and got the to-go Apple - 32 oz, if you please - for only $13. It comes with 3 toppings and if you return with the apple, you'll get a discount (10%). Yay! We've gone back a few times later and we don't see the lady much anymore. The people now vary in enthusiasm and generosity but I still love it. I especially love it when they add one half of froyo, add toppings, and sandwich it with another half and add more on top! Haven't gotten Pinkberry ever since I tried Llaollao! They finally added passion fruit to the sauce offerings and I have to say I prefer it over the green apple. I took a break since I got sick with a cough but as soon as I get better, I see another 32 oz apple in my future!"

The DoughCone

Jando S. "Of all the ice cream dessert trucks floating around in Houston, there are none quite like The Doughcone, figuratively and literally. They've been in operation for just under a decade and have established themselves as one of the most unique and "cool" businesses on wheels. They've certainly amassed the popular vote, in terms of reviews and brand awareness, which only gets heightened as this weather gets hotter. The concept is simple: donut cones filled with soft serve ice cream and customized to one's liking. The cones are baked individually and the ice cream is actually vegan. No matter what the combination is, it's always visually impressive and is as convivial as it is edible. There are so many toppings that I've yet to try them all. There are some typical toppings one would see at an ice cream shop (sprinkles, chocolate chip, fruity pebbles, crushed oreos, etc.) and there also some more unique choices such as Belgian chocolate chips, churro dust, and biscoff cookie butter. There are also some premium (#1) choices that include praline pecans, toasted marshmellows, hazelnut cappuccino wafers, and whipped cream. Want a tip? Check-in on Yelp and score a free premium topping. When the weather is hot, the soft serve melts super quick, so I would recommend the obligatory food photo-op and then immediately diving in. I've had a stale cone here and there, but it's bound to happen. These creations are going to be pricey for the average ice cream goer, but if there's any ice cream spot to splurge on, it's definitely something like The Doughcone.Lastly, I want to thank the people in the truck for always being friendly, welcoming, and their willingness to answer all the questions. I also appreciate that each cone is served inside a cup to keep the stickiness at bay. They are a credit / debit only business and they're in a different part of the city almost at all times. Peep their social media for their up-to-date location and fingers crossed it's near wherever you are.____________(#1) i.e. costs extra."

The custard is only good by Houston standards. If you compare it to Rita's, which is an import from Philadelphia, or perhaps compare it to some of the best ones of the Midwest and the Northeast, then it would probably be scoring a two or three, but just by Houston standards I'll give it a four. PopsiBar is no exception. You walk in and choose between like 15 different flavors of popsicles You then dip it into white chocolate, milk chocolate or dark chocolate, and then have your choice of adding about 8 different toppings. I think it would be hard to find a combination that I wouldn't like here. We went with a coconut popsicle with milk chocolate and coconut shavings on top, and a oreo popsicle dipped in white chocolate and oreo bits on top. Both were excellent, but the oreo was my favorite of the two.I'm not sure what the deal with the chocolate is: it really stays on the popsicles quite solidly without falling a part. It's kind of like a fondant cake frosting in a way. It adds a nice contrast to the popsicle itself and is something I wish I could enjoy on a regular basis if we didn't live so far away!"
