"Because there's so many Indian restaurants on Devon Avenue, it doesn't matter a lot if one is bad. It has plenty more to choose from. Khan BBQ isn't bad, but there's many places that are better though. About the worst that can be said about it is the atmosphere. There's not much to it, so just focus on the food instead. A lot of familiar items are on the menu such as tandoori chicken if you're looking for traditional Indian barbecue. It also has non meat items. The one we got was the Chana Masala. It's about $12 for the vegetarian entrees. These don't come with anything though. Add a few bucks to get naan. Then add a few more to get rice. All of a sudden it doesn't sound like such a good deal here. That's the main reason I can go to many other places to get something quite similar. For quality of the food, it's good. It's not anything better than from many other places you can get to on Devon Avenue from here. The good thing about it is with the meaty and vegetarian items, it's good for groups because there's lots of variety."
"Sheffield's is a great spot during patio season! There are tons of picnic tables and lights are strung above. On the weekends (or cubs games) it's usually packed. There are no reservations, it's first come first serve to the tables. There's standing room as well, and we usually end up standing with a drink before a table opens up. While Sheffield's is usually pretty loud and bustling, I love it. I appreciate that they have about 8 ciders on their drink menu and unique flavors, too. I got a passion fruit cider, they also had pineapple and strawberry lime. Sheffield's also has a surprising amount of vegetarian options - especially for an American bar type of restaurant. The fried green tomato sliders are my favorite (2 come per order). It comes with a tangy balsamic dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the goat cheese and tomato. They also have nachos, veggie chili, salads, and a veggie burger. I ordered the veggie burger. The patty was slightly pink from the beets and it was overall very solid."

When you scan the restaurant you will see all kinds of people eating there which really shows its ability to cater to diverse tastes and diverse people. We ordered the Peking aka Beijing duck, as I had seen it on yelp as well as online reviews. I had high anticipation, for this came to the table was not Peking duck. It was just a roast duck. When the employee started slicing, he also did not slice it to only include skin and first layer of fat, and he just started slicing away at it and gave us huge chunks of meat and almost every part of the duck. This is not an authentic Peking duck experience. The baos arrived at the table, barely room temperature. In fact cold and tough to pry open. When we bit into the pieces of duck on the table, it was confirmed it was roast duck. There is nothing crispy about the skin at all.The second dish came out as soup and the third dish We selected a fried rice. You can tell by the photos we ordered quite a bit of food, including another fried rice, wonton soup, a chicken corn soup, beef chow fun as well as pork chops.Everything tasted OK nothing really stood out though. This place is not cheap. It is actually quite expensive and and I would rather have gone to Chinatown for a more authentic experience.I still give it four stars because I do respect their longevity and tenure as well as their previous recognitions and awards."
"Pho Home is justifiably proud of their pho. It's a long-cooked bone broth that has a wonderful depth of flavor. Good variety of noodle dishes and banh-mi. Decor is quite nice, too. If you're not Vietnamese, there is always an American server to help you, and they know the cuisine. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that "Viet Taste," about 6 blocks south, has an even better pho. But bring cash: no credit cards. Pho Home does take them, though."
"Standard BBQ eats with decent value. Heard the wings are recommended, however I didn't realize this till after--so on my next visit."
"I was pleasantly surprised by Basehit BBQ. It's rare to come across a new BBQ joint that properly cooks rib tips. (Check out my review of Honey 1 BBQ for a quick history lesson on Chicago style BBQ.) Basehit does an above average job of preparing good eats. I wasn't a big fan of the hot links, but would reorder everything pictured.Service was efficient and friendly. The offer a variety of sides, but I haven't tried. Even the best BBQ joints tend to serve mediocre sides. Next time I'll give them a try. .. maybe I'll it'll be another pleasant surprise."
"Came here on a Saturday afternoon just before the dinner rush, and glad we did considering how busy it got 30 minutes after sitting down. Our servers who took care of us were all really sweet and friendly! Service was great... we literally could not have asked for better service. As far as the food goes, I would rate it a solid 4/5. I think they have an okay selection, although we were hoping they had tongue. I also wish that they had two or three separate menus instead of one like other AYCE KBBQ do. Typically I'm more familiar with the AYCE places that offer a cheaper Menu A with less items. This one is $33 for AYCE KBBQ, which is a little bit on the higher end if you ask me, but there's not a lot of decent KBBQ options in the Chicagoland in general, so I think they get away with higher menu prices. It is what it is. Even a Soju bottle is $13 or $14 here which is pretty steep. Hmart prices anyone? Either way, given that we were provided very good service, good portions, and a decent variety of meats, I think this place is worthy of a solid 5 stars! I would 100% come back soon, although I live in the city which makes this place way too far out of my frequented areas, lol!"
"Been here way too many times for this to remain a 4 star review. The food remains consistently good and the service, well, it's friendlier than most but it's a rather large dining area and the customers really like this place - so what I'm trying to say is - you have to be aggressive in flagging down your server. You might want to bring a red scarf or a little Nordstrom Rack flag to stick up, in case you want some more tea. I personally like the crab Rangoon, their beef chow fun, and Chinese broccoli. Most of all, I'd say that I like the owner. You see, the old Honkee was an old school restaurant, nothing fancy but this newer restaurant is over the top with the high ceilings and brighter atmosphere. The owner reinvested and his American dream, well it really shows. The food is consistently good and HonKee easily rivals some of the Southside Chinatown spots. There's a small private parking lot but if it's full, there's a public lot next to it and there's also street pahking."
"My love and I started off a Saturday Funday by going to Gio's BBQ Bar and Grill, located on Damen a block north of Lawrence. Gio's is a sports bar with screens showing various sporting events during our lunchtime visit (Cubs baseball, EuroCup soccer, Wimbledon tennis, and other action). The walls showcase some photos of local sports legends (Michael Jordan, Brian Urlacher). Gio's also has Karaoke and Trivia nights, so they are not just a sports bar.Gio's has a good amount of sidewalk patio seating. We chose to sit at an indoor table, so we had that area practically all to ourselves as most of the patrons were congregating at the bar or sitting outside. Our youthful servers were pleasant and prompt.I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and it was quite tasty indeed. Although not heavily sauced, the pork had an appealing crispness to it that paired well with the toasted brioche bun. I chose cornbread casserole as my side (other listed choices are fries, mac and cheese, or coleslaw), and basically it is a wedge of cornbread with some creamed corn blended in the mix. My love enjoyed the Gio's Burger and side order of fries. She also liked her goblet of sangria, and my Maplewood Beer on tap was refreshing."
"I liked this place. It's pricey but not surprising as there's very little competition in Asian ayce BBQ. Meat and veggies quality were good. Meats in general were not chewy. The beef with fat was our favorite. The owner should consider getting new pork belly because our pork belly was 90% fat.Variety in meats is decent. Seafood and veggies definitely need more variety.Service was good, attentive but the place was mostly empty and there were 2 staff. So I don't know good the service is at full capacity.Important advice: you get 3 rounds of food and the plates look small IF you only mark 1 on the menu. You can write you want 2 or more plates worth of this or that food PER ROUND and also make it clear to the waiter. So we were definitely stuffed at the end.Follow:Instagram - @extranoodlesAndhttps://www.yelp.com/collection/8mCXaaKQAQ7hn-PPUG9iXQ?utm_content=Collections&utm_source=ashare"
"Great atmosphere and lovely setting and seating. Food is a bit salty and pricey but the Mac and cheese, cornbread, and collards were tasty. Staff were nice. You can sit in a quiet space over looking the water and marina and then also get a beer at the next door brewery or Metropolitan Taproom. Or you can go to the distillery called Judson & Moore next door. Dogs are allowed on leashes here and there a lot of space. Also free parking both for the stores area and in the street. Enjoy!"
"I stopped by on a whim with my girlfriend. We were walking down Wabash and saw "BBQ"...and after a quick glance at the menu we went in. The staff members were friendly and efficient. The location itself is inviting. It's hard to go wrong with red and black. The food tho. All of the above were great, but the food is why we will be back. It was just that good. My girlfriend had baby back ribs-they were good. I had a brisket sandwich and fries which were great. I see us coming back within a month to try more items for a weekend lunch."

This place has been an institution on Devon for many years. Authentic Pakistani style BBQ is their specialty. The restaurant is a no frills place with little to no decor. But it's clean and the service was quick on this night. Got me my water right away and the complimentary "salad". Which consists of cucumbers, onions and cabbage. No dressing but come with two bottle of sauces on your table. Green chutney and tomato ketchup. I ordered the tandoori champ. Goat chops spiced and grilled in their tandoori oven and one naan. The chops were moist with a great char. The spices were well balanced. And really a tasty dish. The naan was hot and fresh. I appreciated the tenderness of the goat while still having that char on top.We always get stuff to bring back from the restaurant but it was good to be able to go and eat fresh there too.

Solid happy hour option. Came on a Friday around 5:30, and while it was busy, we were able to find a table with no issue in the front bar area. Our server (can't remember his name!) was great-super friendly, gave beer recommendations, and checked in every once in a while without hovering (we weren't in a rush so took our time with food orders; he'd check in every so often to be sure we weren't feeling neglected but always told us to take our time). They use an online menu, which is fine, but it's not the easiest to navigate-even our server had trouble helping us find the beer. You have to filter the menu to get to the beer selections. Once we figured it out it was okay, but a little bit odd to start.Their beer selection is great, which is to be expected. My friend tried a few different ones, but I found that I liked the Guava Gose Sour so I stuck with that. For food we just did appetizers, and neither of us were impressed. I know this place focuses on BBQ, so perhaps if we had ordered entrees we would have felt differently. We started with the pickle chips, which were probably my favorite. They were fried well and had good flavor-a bit of a kick, but that could be lessened if you're wimp with spice (like me, lol) with the dipping sauce. We later got the sweet potato fries and the pretzel bites. The fries were fine, noting special about them but quite a hearty serving. The pretzel bites were weird as they were filled with cheese (guess we missed that on the menu). They too had a kick to them, so not my favorite. The place did fill up as we sat there, and it did get quite loud and hard to talk. I get that'll happen in a bar; just pointing out that if you're going for a quite place to have conversation, this might not be it once it gets busy. Overall, a solid option for happy hour, though. I'd definitely come back and maybe give an entrée a try.

So my bf and I came in due to a lot of people raving about their duck. We ordered a few things, their BBQ buns, Peking duck, w/ medium rice, and Singapore noodles. Disclaimer: menu isn't the correct prices. there were two Asian servers, one of them was really impatient and the other one was super patient and nice with us. I felt rushed trying to order with one of their employees, but the other one was so sweet and even tried to help me with ordering food items. Not sure how all my entrees came back before my buns even tho they're appetizers, but I understand that it happens. 8.7/10 Singapore noodles - has great amount of protein and veggies, not too much noodles. It does have a spice/kick go it which I throughout enjoyed. This could probably fill 2 people on its own without anything else. 6.5/10 BBQ buns - it was okay. It wasn't anything special and I've defintely had so much better elsewhere. Their buns were soft, but the BBQ wasn't strong in flavor. I wished ir was juicy but it's not. 8.5/10 duck- it was good duck. It was a good portion size and it was good in flavor. We ordered rice to eat with the meat. It had a nice amount of oil to salt/savory flavor. They do have a dinner there you can order and have a lot more food with it. The sauce is really good with rice! I like this place, I just wish I had better service and food should come out accordingly. Overall it's good. I do recommend their duck if you're craving some duck. There's street parking that you can pay for.

I stopped by Pho Home one day after a trip. I was craving Pho so I googled this spot (glad I did). It's in a Plaza style location so parking is basically first come first serve. I was greeted by a gentleman (I do not recall his name he was pleasant) he was stocking as soon as he noticed me he greeted me and took my order (great customer service + attentiveness). I have a few food restrictions after we crossed that bridge he took my order. I order the Chicken Pho, and Thai Iced Tea. The atmosphere was laid back, and pretty. I did go around early lunch so I cannot speak for what it's like on a busy afternoon. It was fairly quiet while I was dining in I was able to work, and attend a virtual meeting from this location. I would return if I'm in the area, and also the left overs are great reheated. I was not able to capture a picture of the Pho because it ate it so fast and taking a picture of the to-go container wouldn't do the meal justice.

I pass by BaseHit all the time and it seemed they had completely shut down during COVID. But I'm glad they're up and running again. This place is located where Harolds used to be. Still quite upset about that actually. It's obviously carry out with maybe one table inside, but nobody ever dines in at these place. The young guy working the front was very welcoming and had a great attitude while we waited for our food get prepared. It did take longer than I would have hoped, but I guess that's why we practice patience right? My wife ordered their tips and wings, with mild sauce, which is a mix of both their hot and sweet sauce. I ordered their tips and links combo with their hot bbq sauce. My wife's wings were amazing. You get an option of fried or grilled?!?! Hello, fried of course! They were fried perfectly and huge. And most importantly very tasty. The sauce on the tips carried some heat. Very tasty sauce. My only complaint is an important one. The tips seemed overcooked. A lot of hard pieces and difficult to chew. If they can fix that, this place would be golden. I'll definitely be back though.

Amazing Food, if i lived closer to this place I'd go more often. Service is always friendly and there are large TVs everywhere playing kPop videos while I pop lettuce wrapped pork into my belly! It really is a treat every time I eat here. The meat is better than other kBbq restaurants in the greater Chicagoland area. Parking is plentiful and the plaza is well lit at night. Great place to bring your friends and family. Would recommend, 5 stars!

I have a bit of a soft spot for this place since my dad and I frequent this place often for lunch. We've been going here even when they were at their smaller location. Our go-to has always been the wonton noodle soup and splitting a 1/4 order of duck. We also usually order some siu yuk or roasted duck to go to take home. The wonton noodle soup is solid. Won't be beating anything from like... Guangzhou/Hong Kong, but it'll get the job done. They actually have a decently large menu with a bunch of standard Chinese dishes. I haven't tried their Peking Duck, but I've seen it and it actually looks really good. I would 100% pick it over Sun Wah just based on my experience with the other Chinese bbq meats I've had from here versus Sun Wah. The other Chinese bbq meats like siu yuk and char siu are also really solid. Personal fav is siu yuk, nice crispy skin and solid meat-to-fat ratio. Roasted duck also good.Service is fine. Can be a bit slow when it's busy just because they're a pretty light/semi understaffed crew, but you'll get your order. Ambiance is.. interesting because there's like a fake chandelier / almost banquet style seating even though there's a literal Chinese bbq butcher area at the corner of the restaurant. Definitely have a good amount of tables for bigger groups, too. I often see a bunch of older Chinese people drinking tea and eating lunch at one of them when I go. Very wholesome. Definitely worth checking this place out if you're looking for wonton noodles, Peking duck, or just general Chinese bbq stuff (char siu, siu yuk, etc).
Visit Restaurant Page"There is only one thing better than good barbecue, meeting the celebrity chef that prepared it. The restaurant is filled with a really good after church crowd dressed in their Sunday's best. Dining in and placing orders to go. Delicious smells of smoky goodness fill the air. Ordered the rib tips with fries, smoked chicken with mac and cheese, peach cobbler, corn muffins and one strawberry lemonade. Everything was pretty good. Plan to return soon to try the brisket sandwich lunch special. Truly enjoy my cooking shows and I have watched Dominique on four. More than seeing her in action in the kitchen, I am most impressed with the fight in her and her story of triumph."
"Excellent BBQ! I had the brisket, rib tips, and links (don't judge). When I say great FLAVOR, I mean it. While the sauces were homemade and absolutely delicious, if you prefer no sauce at all, then the quality of the smoked meats speak for themselves. The sides were seasoned just right as well. Come on down to this new spot and enjoy great food, friendly service all wrapped in a local family owned business!"
"After a long weekend in Chicago we decided to end it at a Diners Drive Ins and Dive spot and it did not disappoint! We went around 2:00pm on a Sunday. Parking was a little difficult to find, but after driving around the block a couple of times we lucked out and found a parking spot across the street. We ordered our food from a kiosk they have set up. Our food was ready in no-time. We got the BBQ chicken bowl, a deluxe burger, and kimchi fries. Everything was amazing. I would love to get the BBQ chicken bowl again - it was lighter (compared to the pizza and burgers we had been eating all weekend) and packed with flavor. The kimchi fries were delicious! And the burger was juicy and very tasty. We will definitely be back!"
"Got an order of Tips and order of 3 wings. Tips were definitely tender, and pretty tasty. Only issue was too many fries and not enough Tips for $20! The wings had a very nice crust on them my advice is to bite the wing, don't separate otherwise the crust will fall off! Overall the food was decent I'll just ask for less fries and drain the grease!"
"Was a little apprehensive about the price of the Chicken Shawarma Plate ($15.50) but gave it a try anyway. It was totally worth it! The portion of chicken and rice is quite generous (enough for my husband and I to share for lunch) and both were delicious. The plate also came with a salad and pita that were good too. I wanted to try the spicy version but was worried it might be too much for me to handle, so the woman who took the order suggested getting the hot sauce on the side. Glad we did, because it's very spicy and just a little bit went a long way. The plate also came with a delicious garlic sauce, probably for the salad, but we thought it tasted great mixed in with the chicken and rice with just a tiny bit of hot sauce.Wish this place was closer to home!"
"Chicago Kalbi is a long time Albany Park favorite for unique Asian cuisine. It has more than it looks. Sure the place is small, but they can somehow get all this food out. For many they consider this the best place for Korean barbecue. This is a great long time local business that's been family owned for years. After coming from a few bars, we needed something to eat. In comes this place, or actually we came to this place. This is one of the many ethnic restaurants in Albany Park, and one of the best in the city to get Korean barbecue for sure. Not just barbecue. Of course vegetarians can get something. A few choices. We came later one evening after hanging around at some bars around here. Even though it's mostly meaty stuff, we found a few vegetarian items. We got the Yasai Gyoza, which were pretty cool looking. It's $7 for quite a bit. These are green colored things that look like potstickers. For sure would come here again. It's one of the favorites for Korean in the city, according to many lists and polls. Take a trip up here and try some things."
"I love coming to Squabs for lunch. The food is extremely tasty and the service is friendly. The dinner plates are big enough to take half of your order Togo and eat later. My favorite plate is the chicken breast dinner or the chicken kabob which are always marinated/seasoned to perfection. The menu has a lot of variety so there's something for everyone. Unfortunately they serve their plates with plastic utensils so cutting up the food is sometimes a bit of a chore."
"From out of town and was looking for a spot to eat running an errand outside Chicago. Drove by this place and decided to give it a try. The service was friendly, food was good, and the place was clean. I'd definitely come back if I am out this way again."
"Loaded Brisket Crinkle Fries We made a stop here last night before the Suns vs Bulls game and it was honestly D to the E to the L I C I O U S!!! We honestly can say that we will be coming back for future games! Really really really good meat and entrees to choose from! I can't believe we've always just passed this but not anymore! And the service made this so fast and they were really nice!"
"I have an in to the various up to date gossip and info when it comes to Chinatown ins and outs probably because my family used to own a restaurant in Chinatown. By far the current state is that Tai Ho Yee's has the best BBQ duck & pork in Chinatown. They used to work for Golden Country many moons ago and was able to purchase the store from the original owners and now they wholesale to many of the restaurants and retail to the folks too, but only with cash.Their menu only consists of the meat and it's carry out only. They don't sell rice, sides, or groceries. They're a typical Chinese family, they speak broken English, but enough to make a sale and noisy enough because they want to figure out who I am and where I belong amongst the Asian families around here. Prices have gone up since the 2015 photos and the Peking Duck whole was $17.50 and the BBQ pork was $7.50 a pound."
"Based on a lot of poor reviews, I was a bit scared to come to this place initially. My friend and I wanted an AYCE KBBQ experience and the Chicagoland area as a whole doesn't have the most KBBQ restaurants that have an AYCE option. I typically go to BBQ Garden down the street when I'm in the suburbs because it has constantly been a solid spot for fulfill lol my cravings. The only issue was that they're closed on Wednesdays so we found Woori Village nearby was an AYCE option and came here instead. Our Korean lady server was extremely friendly during the entire experience and never made us feel rushed or was rude to us at all. She would laugh a little with us and by all means this experience was very different than what a lot of others have spoken about in terms of service at this place. While their meat options are bit limited, I think for $28 AYCE, it was a solid choice. We really liked the pork belly and short ribs from here. The brisket was okay, and the bulgolgi was definitely better. As far as the banchan (sides), they had some decent slides that tasted fresh and really good however there were a few banchan sides missing that we were hoping for like cucumber, season spinach, tteok-bokki, and fish cakes... etc. I'd still return, but I think the brisket and bulgolgi could definitely be a little better quality and taste better."
"02/03/24 - Dam if this place doesn't have the best dam vittles. We had dinner @ New Seoul Korean Barbecue w/my wife's family for her belated birthday. This is the 3rd time we came here and the food is excellent everytime. To start we ordered 2 platters that came with/2 types of beef & pork belly. As usual the meat is marbled w/the right amount of fat to bring out the flavor when we grilled it @ our table. We ended up ordering a third platter. The banchan that comes w/the meat is of outstanding quality & the service is awesome. Thanks to Joe (owner) & Cortez we had an excellent meal."
"The pulled pork bowl is great. Love the bacony greens. The Mac and cheese is on point and the magic dust really sets it off.The meat is fantastic. It's some professional bbq. Great smoky flavor. Big portions."
"Liked their BBQ skewers but not the hot pot. BBQ enoki mushroom, chicken gizzards and lamb are so good. BBQ pork belly is kind of disappointing as it still feels fatty and greasy (not roasted enough) and on the sweet side with heavy Gochujang taste. The hot pot has non-meat things like beef tripe, shrimp, quail Egg, fish tofu, some napa cabbage and kombu - just not worth the price and the flavor is okay.Tip: be prepared to drink lots of water after eating here as the food is pretty heavy."
"This is an excellent restaurant I'd love to revisit over and over! It's 4 stars, not 5, now because the service is bordering on frustrating. That isn't to say it's anything but polite, but it is anything but timely. This restaurant has been around for awhile; they should be aware that the outdoor seating section's most remote part, with a lovely pergola shading it, is still part of the restaurant and should be visited for check ins. It took 20-25 minutes just for someone to come take our drink orders. Even in a huge restaurant (footprint wise), this would be pushing it. We had moments where my friend, who was facing more of the restaurant, would try to politely flag down our waiter (or anyone), but they would all walk right past us without any acknowledgement. We were not difficult customers in the slightest, not requesting anything odd, and giving nothing less than thank you's and smiles. 0:)Even so, the food continues to be impressive. Their menu gets different refreshes and additions, which is very cool (and a contrast with their dated interior). The jambalaya is worth ordering, whether you choose seafood or (for lack of a better term) regular. The gumbo is on the thinner side but NOT bland in any way. My friend liked her rosemary chicken sandwich. You can't go wrong with the menu, and there are many options, but not so many that it's Cheesecake Factory levels of "where are they keeping all of these seldom-used ingredients?" I just wish the service could be less frustrating, but that is something that I'm sure can change for the better!"
"I've been wanting to come here for a while now. I have always been hesitant in trying this place out. I've heard some good things about them, but it didn't seem like my type of bbq joint. All I can say is I've been missing out. I called in my order and the staff was great on the phone and in person. The place was also packed. It was small inside with an old school vibe, but I can definitely see why it's busy. The ribs were damn delicious. I've always said there's two types of bbq food. Smoked bbq with a great rub, doesn't need bbq sauce. And then there's bbq food that isn't smoked and doesn't have a great rub, that one usually requires bbq sauce. And the sauce better be good. Twin Anchors is the latter. The ribs were perfectly cooked and literally falls off the bone. They're unfortunately not the best on their own, but their Prohibition Sauce is definitely one of the best bbq sauces out there. It's a sweet and spicy sauce and it's very addicting. I also ordered their half chicken to mix things up but I did regret not ordering two full slabs instead. The chicken was dry, lacked flavor and on the smaller side. I would have preferred for them to cut each piece individually to make it look like there's more food. I ordered this with their mild sauce which was ok. It reminded me of another bbq sauce that I wasn't a big fan of in the suburbs. I also ordered their creamed spinach which was really good and a baked potato which I also regret ordering. I will definitely be returning for their ribs and ribs alone."
"BY FAR THE BEST KBBQ EXPERIENCE BAR NONE! I'M SCREAMING! aahhhhh! From the jump, ample free parking lot. Sold. Walking in, very short wait-even though it was busy on a Friday night, we didn't have to wait very long as it's very in and out. Fast service, fast food!Everything was delectable! Not AYCE but affordable! They offer you kimchi fried rice at the end of your meal as a finishing appetizer; it's quite pleasant!Service was very good! They offer grape soju and red raspberry wine. This. Was. Awesome."
"I've been wanting to come here for years, and apparentlt, it's the first Black-owned barbecue spot in Chicago. I'm happy to report that I was well pleased with my visit. The vibes were immaculate (customers and workers were both lovely and fun to chat with while we waited), and lots of regulars coming in. The food was delicious - we got the rib tips and links combo as well as an order of fried shrimp. The prices are great, and I do wish I'd tried their fried chicken too (just to sample), since other people seemed to really like it. I especially enjoyed the tips and the fried shrimp was wonderful (I admit I love a fried item and fried shrimp in general might be one of my perfect foods). But definitely get the rib tips and links because that's what they're known for.As an FYI, My friend and I came here on a spring night and unsurprisingly, there was a bit of a line. I'd read reviews talking about lines in winter, so I was ready to wait. I would definitely factor that in if you're a newbie like me, so don't come too hungry because it's also takeout only, so you'll have to factor in transporting it home."
"About a 1-1.5: I saw that Ya Hala had some rave reviews, but after my experience, they are a bit sus.Their menu offers various apps, salads, sandwiches, and entrees - we tried:+Eggplant Fatteh - prepared with eggplants, beef, pita chips, tomato sauce, and garlic yogurt sauce; the pita chips that were mixed in were super soggy, and should have been served on the side for the consumer to mix in+Mskhan (musakhan?) Rolls - with bread, chicken, summac, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil; kind of similar to egg rolls+the Mix Grill - comes with beef kebab, chicken kebab, and shish taouk - this came on a bed of rice with a side of salad and hummus; unfortunately, the meats seemed to not be fresh and reheated; they were not cooked on the spot and seemed to have been prepared way in advanceService was friendly, but the food was super disappointing.Parking available in the shared lot.+not-so-fresh meats+parking available in lot"
"Overall, everything was decent. I was mostly disappointed at finding hair in my shot glass after taking my first sip of soju. We still followed through with the dinner and the meat was good. Ordered the brisket and thinly sliced pork belly. We also ordered rice cakes and steamed egg. Pass on the egg, decent rice cakes. Not AYCE and pretty pricey but on the relatively average side for KKBBQ.Service was good but got a few eye rolls & scuffs for asking for more sides/sauces. Average and would recommend not trying again."
"Anmol Barbeque Restaurant is a Casual, family-owned eatery offering traditional Pakistani cuisine made from halal meats. This is by far the best bbq we've had on all of Devon ever! We've tried them all and Anmol is a definite stand out from the rest. The place is very clean and they also have a sink where you can wash your hands before and after eating. Entrees are not only outstanding but generously portioned. They are the only establishment on Devon that puts 3 sauces on the table (cilantro-creamy, mint onion chutney- herby, and a plum - sweet and spicy) to go with all your meats and entrees. The place is packed on weekends but well worth the wait. Staff is professional and won't rush you like some other places there do. Amna was our server and she was very attentive and made sure we had an enjoyable meal. All items are top quality, authentic, freshly made and delicious! This place doesn't disappoint!"
"Ordered here again last night 10/28/23 . I am a Chicken connoisseur. This Chicken is in a class by itself . Absolutely top 3 anywhere in Chicagoland. Great service and packaging."
"I tried it and it was tasty. I'm impressed the owner put together a special for his loyal customers. I was able to taste various entries for a good price. I was able to purchase a value meal to introduce my colleague to Medleys. They were impressed too. They will want to introduce their friends to the flavorful meal."
