"Do yourself a favor and get the burger and curly fries. Burger is probably my top 3 in the city. Curly fries are better than Arby's. Great service as always!"
"My grandkids favorite pizza by far! Mama Luna's pizza taste great even to the fuzzy eaters in my family."

"Great local bar. Pizza and wings were good. We sat at the bar and watched the Bears and had a fun time. Oh and Green Bay sux!"
"We always get deep dish when we're in Chicago. But we have Lou Malnati's and Giordano's back home. Pizano's is a great, different choice in that vein. The deep dish was fantastic and service was great. The dining area is filled with hockey memorabilia of you're into that."
"[COVID-19 Delivery Review]If you are looking for some greasy thin crust NY style pizza, this is the place to get it!We ordered pizza from Paula and Monica's Pizzeria during the COVID-19 Stay at Home Guidance. The pizzas were pretty large (we ordered one 10" pizza and another 14" pizza between the two of us! We had hungry eyes!!). We had a lot of yummy leftovers. No complaints here!"
"It's not the best pizza you'll ever have, but it is solid and you get a good product for a very reasonable price. I do recommend this pizzeria."
"Great place to have a drink and some food. Plenty of space for large groups both indoors and out. There's a large outdoor patio as well as a private party room upstairs that can hold about 30-50 people and a nice outside patio adjacent to private room and first level. The staff are really nice and supportive."
"The food is amazing, the service is amazing and the people are kind. The restaurant is georgious and is very beautifully designed. I love to sit at the bar facing the window and just people watch while I eat Neapolitan pizza. It's so good that I usually order four pizzas and go every weekend at least once. It's my favorite pizza place, and I've been to almost every pizza place in Chicago; just no place does pizza better than Strapoli. If I could I would get a second job and move to the apartments closest to this restaurant so I can eat here every day. I strongly recommend the Margherita, Pistachina and Soppressata pizzas, in that order. I love the Soppressata because it has meat and has a beautifully sweet tang to it, while the pistachina is a more earthy and fulfilling pizza and the margherita is just so delicious and fulfilling."
"In town for the weekend and found this lovely gem so we decided to stop in - we were not disappointed! Service was fast and friendly! We did have a hard time deciding which pizza to get as they all sounded fantastic, but decided on the Bacon Jam pizza. It was excellent! Place is small but inviting and we would definitely come back again!"
"We came here for a quick bite. I hate these beef places that have these slices of pizza on display. Because I only came for a beef and the damn slices look so good just staring at me. So I couldn't resist and ordered a sausage slice as well. This place gets pretty busy with a lot of pick up orders as well as grub hub and all that other crap. I waited longer than I would have liked to, but it really wasn't all that bad. I ordered my beef with hot peppers and dipped. The only way it should be ordered if I'm being honest..I'm only kidding. The beef was packed with flavor. Just the right amount of seasoning and they filled the bread up pretty well. The hot peppers were also perfect. Just the perfect amount and right amount of spice. One of the best needs served in the city. We also ordered cheese fries. They serve crinkle fries and then topped with the cheese. I prefer my cheese on the side so I can dip it but then again you get more cheese when they just pour it on top like how they did. The sausage pizza slice was pretty good, just not sure if I would order it again. We also ordered a hot dog but it wasn't all that great. The beef is where it's at here. I'll definitely be back."
"So many options, we are in love with Kiosk Balkan street food, the food is amazing and taste so fresh"
"My husband and I went to Seven Bar and Restaurant with a group of about 60 people for our wedding after party on Saturday night, and everyone had a fabulous experience. Our wedding planner had reached out ahead of time since we'd have a large group coming in, and the owner was super accommodating and helpful. The place isn't very big but the atmosphere was so fun with disco lighting and people LOVED the karaoke. We also ordered several trays of fried food that I assume were good because everyone gobbled them up. We've had so many guests compliment us on how much fun it was and a perfect after party setting. Several people including my husband and I shut the bar down at 3am we were having so much fun. It's a hidden gem being on the 7th floor you do have to show ID and check in with security. But any brides getting married in the north loop should definitely consider Seven, or anyone looking to go somewhere for a party or after an event, we had such a great time!Thank you Seven Bar and Restaurant!"

Great sports bar. We were there for March Madness-the joy to be able to watch all the games at once!!Good food... bar food. Interesting pizza, I liked the crust Also, big plus in my book, not VERY loud - and remember, it was March Madness We've gone back a couple times- our server was sweet and efficient, and it was busy

Listen, the pizza is great! Say what you will, I love this place. Order your pizza well done! It's gotten expensive over the years, but I mean, I stay loyal. The sauce is so good. I rarely eat inside, but it's a decent place for a meal. Very clean and bright. I just order for take out. Save money by doing pick up, order one topping, and take cash, it's way cheaper!

Love the pizza here! Their thin crust is awesome, best we've had in the city. It has a great crispy crust and the sauce is not too sweet or too salty, just right. We recently tried their deep dish and loved it! There was a really nice layer of cheese and the amount of crust was perfect. I tired the specialty pizza with tomatoes, garlic, and fresh basil and it was delicious. Very fresh!

This is delicious 'za, one would say. I'm in a love affair with pizza. Always have been, always will be no matter what! I enjoy all types of pizza pies. With that being said when co worker wanted to enjoy some pizza, of course I joined the fun with her. The first time I enjoyed was about a month ago, I ordered personal pan with pineapple and jalapeño. HEAVEN ON MY TONGUE. Yuuuumm...The ingredients definitely had a fresh taste. The crust was good! I ate all my crust which is a big deal because I'm a crust snob. Overall This pizza got a 5 out of 5, no complaints! The second time was today. The team decided we all wanted pizza again yay. Someone suggested chicken & jalapeño, I said hmmm...I usually hate chicken on pizza but it might be good w/ the jalapeños. Then I saw the option for " hot pepper" and decided on that. This pizza would up being thin crust, and I was pleasantly surprised!!! Whatever is better than heaven on your tongue, their thin crust is that. Especially when hot!!!! This pizza got a 6 out of 5. And yes, like the other tips/reviews have said it is definitely a New York slice style! I'm gunna go out on a limb and say it's my new favorite pizza place. Definitely worth a try.

Had a connecting flight from Midway International Airport and our flight got delayed for a few hours. What better way to make the best of the situation and seek out what Chicago is most known for -- Deep Dish Pizzzzza!I found Cipriani's Pizza on a quick Yelp search and the group and I decided it would be a good choice since it's located about a couple miles away from the airport. This joint is a small family owned business which I appreciate but the staff who were running the front of the house were simply rude and uninviting. I will note that they were not rude to patrons coming in and out to pick up pizza, and that could be because they were locals or regulars. I guess we gave off that 'out-of-town-er' energy because we were met with very mediocre hospitality. We ordered two Deep Dish Pizzas (one cheese and one of their specials), one thin crust sausage pizza, two large salads, and six sodas for $80.00 -- which is not too bad of a tab.The pizzas took about 45 minutes to make which could be an issue if you're walking in hangry after a full day of traveling. The pizza sauce was definitely a hit but the crust on both the thin crust and deep dish just didn't do it for me.I don't know if this was the "Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Experience" but I will share I was not too impressed. Note to owners: ask the ladies in the front to be a bit more warm and helpful. Maybe it would create a better first impression for first time visitors.

"I was very leery of ordering because there's some tough reviews. I decided to give them a chance because location was important. Pizza was piping hot when I picked it up. Looked great, tasted good too. Workers were nice and friendly when I went in to grab it. I'd def order again."
"I absolutely love this place, eggplant farfalle has been my favorite for almost 2 decades!! I am so glad they have a bar now and their salads are incredible. This is my favorite place for pasta dishes!!"
"We had a large group, and fortunately, we were able to get seated immediately (early evening on a Friday). The manager was so accommodating, and the server was never pushy even with the large group. Food was consistent to the original location, except the garlic knots weren't as soft/chewy or garlicky. The Cluck-Stop was being shared, so we appreciated they cut it in half for us. The Mom's Standby was smaller than I recalled. Overall, food is good for what it is, quick, and it's nice to know this location is bigger since they don't take reservations."
"HASTA LA PIZZA, BABYWarm up with a delicious thin crust at this intimate restaurant on the Near North Side.Located inside the Embassy Suites on north State St, Pizzeria Via Stato is tucked within Osteria Via Stato. Their specialties are Roman-style thin crust pizzas but they've also got a great variety of Italian appetizers and an extensive wine listing. We were seated around 7pm on 11/4/19 by a hostess who was downright delightful. She was upbeat and held a brief but pleasant conversation with us (the greeter at Rosemont's Bub City could learn a thing or two from the charming hostess here). Not long after, we placed drink orders. My cocktail of choice was their Farmer's Mule ($13) made with vodka, fresh pear, ginger beer and cinnamon. My fiancée enjoyed her Stella Rosa ($12), which had tequila, muddled strawberry, prosecco and thyme. There was no free bread service here, but I'm willing to cut them a break. She absolutely loved the burrata ($13) that came in a pool of olive oil with buttered crostini. The caprese salad ($13) had roasted tomatoes along with the usual fresh mozzarella and basil. It was expensive, and worse still, we spotted a small black hair hiding between the slices of mozza. Ooohhh no thanks. On the other hand, their pepperoni thin crust ($15) was one of the best pizzas we've had in a while. The red sauce was great and the small slices of 'roni had the perfect amount of spicy kick to them. It was really delicious and a pretty fair price. The 'prosciutto americano' ($18) was just as good. It had arugula, aged balsamic, and shaved grana (similar to parmesan). It was also excellent and we easily polished off the entire thing. I liked that it was more of a flatbread in nature and less of a "pan style" pizza, which meant we could eat more slices and not feel stuffed to the brink.Bread = 4.5Circuses = 4Our server did a fine job and took solid care of us during dinner. The atmosphere inside was perfect for an impromptu date night and the dining room was tidy. I didn't realize this place was part of Rich Melman's vast Lettuce Entertain You empire, until the check came asking for LEYE points. How 'bout that?* TL;DR *It's tough to stand out amid the deluge of deep dish that seemingly dominates the Windy City. Finding a worthwhile thin crust is no small feat, but Pizzeria Via Stato is up to the challenge. The food and service was fine but finding a short black hair in our antipasti tells me that someone in the kitchen needs to wear a hat. That's an automatic 1/2 star deduction (sorry guys!)I'd nevertheless recommend this place to friends and family seeking a pizza that won't put them in a food coma."
"The Nutella bites are the best thing to happen to Nutella since Nutella. I've had their pizza too, it's better than most pizza places. Bottom's crunchy and the pepperoni doesn't leave you with heart burn."
"Holy Cannoli!!! Incredible pizza. Got a sausage giardiniera and a pepperoni onion. The quality of all ingredients was top tier. Maybe the best sausage I've had on pizza. The pepperoni was so much better than other pep and the onions sliced super thin. The crust was delectable. It's pretty dense - 2 of us didn't come close to finishing two mediums. Garlic bread was outrageously good too. Staff was really nice. Most of the other people were waiting for takeout but we enjoyed eating there very much and can't wait to go back. Wow!!"
"I know y'all think Chicagoan's eat stuffed pizza all year round. For me I crave it like once a year. But on the day I ordered a stuffed pizza from Slice Factory my craving went unsatisfied. Stuffed pizza takes a really long time to cook because it's so thick. I got mine by delivery and all the timing added up. But the pizza was extra doughy in the middle and almost floppy at the bottom? I even tried to save it by cooking it longer in my oven and the crust just wasn't right. The sauce and cheese were ok. It just didn't have the flavor I'm used to from other local pizza places. Maybe the giant slices are a different story. And they do have late night hours. Just not going to rush to try Slice Factory again."
"My new favorite after work spot. The staff is friendly, the beer selection is good (light on the number of draft choices but all very solid selections for a variety of tastes), and the place smells like the delicious pizzas they make.Has more of a neighborhood bar feel (which I prefer) with red vinyl stools, a wooden bar top, great music and there are 7 TVs to catch any game you want."
"Found this gem and it saved me and my besties lives this day. The chili cheese dog gave us hope and will to live. will be returning for more and also to blow off steam at the batting cages. great idea, genius, no notes."
"We were visiting U Chicago and stopped by Medici for lunch. There was a short wait to be seated. The restaurant looks like an old tavern, and they have interesting wall decor that is eclectic. The appetizers were really good! We scarfed down some onion rings and chili cheese fries. The loaded fries were stand-out amazing! The main lunch orders were a little underwhelming. I really liked my personal pie of veggie pizza, but my hubs thought his roast beef sandwich was "just okay." Our friend got a fried chick sandwich that looked good! I enjoyed the food! The service was fine. Everyone was pleasant. I would come back again. Of note, I got a latte next door at the cafe side of medici while we were waiting to be seated. And the latte was not good. I could barely drink it."
"What's not to like about duck pizza on the river. A little bit of a maze to find the restaurant. Make a reservation if you want to sit outside(and in general it's a popular spot). You can also sit at the bar and order thought it's limited seating and not really amenable to standing since you may block the walkway."
"Reno is walkable from Logan Square Auditorium and offers indoor and outdoor seating with a wide selection of thin crust pizzas and pastas and many other things. After a show at the auditorium we walked over and were able to snag a nice outdoor table for an early dinner. For the 4 of us, 2 pies were the perfect amount and we finished everything. For our red sauce pizza, we selected the Combo (fennel sausage, cremini mushroom, smoked onion, mozzarella, red sauce) and for the white sauce pizza we got the Philomena (robiola cheese, mozzarella, arugula, truffle oil). I think we selected the best two that complemented each other. The combo was heavier and meatier while the Philomena was earthy and fresh at the same time. Service was super fast and friendly and it was overall a delightful experience."
"It was good. Kelsi made the experience better. I've had better cheese curds. They were so garlic forward that I don't think I'll be bitten by any vampires any time soon. The thin crust pizza was a winner. They got the gold for having green olives on the menu. We turned down a different path and opted for the thin pizza rather than the deep dish pizza. The crust is the authentic Chicago crispy cracker crust. It was around lunchtime and they were swamped for a Thursday afternoon crowd. If you head downstairs to the bathroom, you will notice a private room that is perfect for parties."
"I was staying right down the street at the Palmer House Hilton and wanted to try this spot. The exterior gave me a great vibe, see picture. The interior decor is old school, they have movie posters from Psycho on the wall and the mug shot of Frank Sinatra being arrested, great stuff to see all around the restaurant. The Exchequer Pub is right as you walk in the front door, the dining room is further back. They have great pizza, according to the person sitting next to me. For dinner, I got the Capone's Rigatoni with sausage and vodka sauce (A grade). This was a nice size serving, I could not finish everything. The service was very friendly, thanks Moe, who wore a Toronto Bluejays hat. The prices are great considering you are downtown in Chicago and you definitely get your money's worth. I washed it all down with a Zombie Dust - pale ale 6.5% ABV (Munster, IN)."
"Whenever I got to a new city I always want to try what they're known for but without going too commercial. I've been to the normal pizza chains in Chicago but nothing beats hole in the wall pizza. My usual spot was around the corner Peqoud. When we were told the wait was 2 hours I was crushed. I looked around and this spot popped up. First of all, it screams dive bar in the best way. Love the set up and seating. Decor is great as well. We were seated and right away commandeered the jukebox. We ordered the Angry Italian and Chicago Classic. Not being a huge fan of spicy i took the dive. Oh gosh it is not for the faint of heart. Its really spicy. Im sure it can be chased with one of the many drink specials. Both pizzas were fresh and delicious. Portions are huge. We ordered 2 for a party of 4 and it was way too much in the best way. My friends ordered bloody marys. Very cute with a little slice of pizza on top. And the waitress offered us a shot on the way out. Loved loved loved this spot. Would definitely come back"
"Pizza was very good, I would go back for sure. I recommend the thin crust, it was crispy and tasty."
"Been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Finally made it in. Service is great. They work quick and efficient. They're also very friendly. Price is very reasonable and the food will fill you up. I ordered a polish and a pork chop sandwich. The pork chop sandwich was very tasty. The pork chop was very tender and flavorful. I wasn't a big fan of their polish dog. It had no snap and tasty a little mushy. I'm glad I finally gave this place a try. I certainly won't be going out of my way to come here, but if I'm ever an the area, I might be down grab me some pork chop sandwiches."
"Alex's Washington Gardens is kind of like walking into your grandmother's house that she's raised all of her now grown children in. It's nothing fancy or updated. Kind of smells a little old timey. The lights are so dim you can barely read your menu. But it's oddly homey, warm and inviting. The dining room was PACKED when we arrived late on a Monday evening, but they were able to seat all 5 of us almost immediately without a reservation (we had a last minute change of plans, or we would have called ahead). Our waitress was a little short with us, which I didn't appreciate, but can also ignore, but it definitely rubbed one of my friends the wrong way. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food, so I played it safe with their chopped salad, which I enjoyed. I always appreciate a restaurant that has a solid salad list instead of offering basic iceberg with 4 tomatoes and some shredded carrots. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their gnocchi, salads and ravioli. If you like a good, strong martini that'll grow some hair on your chest, look no further! I don't drink often, so I was definitely not able to finish my dirty martini, even after getting a little extra olive juice, bummer, because this place is NOT cheap. With the salad, martini and tip, my total bill was a little over $40.I do want to note that we did pretty much close out the place, and as we were exiting, there were two pretty intoxicated middle aged women by the bar showing each other dance moves or something. It definitely changed the entire vibe of the place, and made me a little uncomfortable. Not too sure if I'd ever bring my daughter here since it was pretty clear that people are easily over served. So to sum things up: the food is great, the atmosphere is like being at your grandmother's until after 8pm, when all of your crazy aunts have had too many gin and tonics, the service is good, but served with an attitude, but you'll be entertained and leave with your belly full."
"Loved the pizza delivery from Bob's. Same as the other location in West Loop. I wouldn't recommend the bread appetizer."
"Food was delicious! They give you some bread to start and then we shared an entree (comes with soup and salad) and pizza. We had a lot of leftovers too! The pizza was delicious - will be back for more!"
"Not bad! Came in fourth in our Caddie Pizza Rankings and so I was obligated to try it. Plus, Kevin (the looper--you probably know him) is always talking about Tata's, so I gave it a go. It's a little sweeter than I normally prefer, but I did not seem to mind it. One day when the Missus and the kids weren't home, I got a large sausage pizza and intended just to eat a couple of pieces, leaving the rest for the family because a) I care about them and b) I wanted to look like a kind, self-sacrificing mensch. Well, I sat there for a half hour eating. Usually, I watch tv or browse the Internet (those are my two favorite hobbies) while I eat, but I just sat there, focusing on the pizza. In the end, I left one piece for the other four members of my household. However, thinking I'd be seen as stingy rather than the giving, caring, other-directed person that I am, I consumed the final piece in one glorious, gluttonous bite, one final gulp of gastronomical glee. That was some dadgum fine pizza. And as for Kevin? Last I heard, he was getting all dressed up like he was going to prom and reading books to kids. (Kevin sent me a photo, but I didn't see Kevin in the photo--it was all women with real big shoulders--so I think ol' Kevin sent me the wrong photo! No problem, though.) But my point is that Tata's draws quality folks like Kevin to their establishment because they make great pizza. Great stuff."
"Bartoli's was a stop on the Chicago Pizza Tour. The deep dish slices are enormous and delicious! Our guide said they sell pizza by the slice, making it a great lunch option if you're in the area."
