"The omfg bagel got me omfg-ing. Once you walk in, you'd probably think you are in the wrong spot. Looks like a bar but just walking down, and you will see the order counter. It's very dimly lit but I found out that this place turns into a bar at night. So cool. Staff were great and super friendly. My order came out less than 10 minutes. I ordered the OMFG bagel on an everything bagel with extra scallion spread. It was loaded and definitely messy to eat. The fried egg exploded on me so be careful. The bagel was perfectly toasted; soft yet crispy texture. I enjoyed my bagel so much! I ate half of it there and saved the other half for the airport. They have a nice spacious outdoor seating in front. The OMFG bagel was the popular item and I can see why. It had fried chicken, cheese, fried egg, bacon bagel with sriracha aioli. I added the scallion cream cheese and it was a game changer!! It was totally worth it.IMO I think it's better than some bagel places here in San Jose, CA. I highly recommend!"
"Food was horrible. Don't let the name fool you. Based off name and seeing the signs all through the neighborhood you would think it's black owned.......NOT!!! Chicken don't taste and fried extra soft. The fries came in a separate container and it's was more like a kids fry. Nope 1 and done!!!"

"*Note: CASH ONLY*This restaurant has some really delicious and unique items on their menu. The Irish Benedict, although a little spicy, had an amazing range of flavors and was perfect before a day out in the city. The breakfast potatoes on the side were fantastic as well. The restaurant has a nice, trendy interior and a cute patio with umbrellas if you prefer to sit outside. It gets busy on weekends, especially out on the patio in the summer. I was surprised to find out that this is a cash-only restaurant, which I did not know until the bill came. Luckily, I was carrying cash (which i don't think most young people do these days). There is also an ATM inside."
"Needed a quick lunch after the gym and decided to take part in Rosie's Wednesday lunch special: any 8 inch for $8.95. Ordered the Deluxe Italian on their website and it was bagged and ready when I arrived. I was greeted at the door and given my sandwich with a smile. It was packed with meat and fresh veggies and the thinly sliced onions with the oil & vinegar are spot on! I will definitely be back to try the Italian beef. Great quality and quick service."
"Fire sandwiches. Would definitely recommend trying their food. Super quality ingredients. Definitely ordering from here again"
"The pastries here are wonderful!! I stopped in on a Sunday morning to grab a croissant and the entire cafe smelled like fresh baked pastries. The almond croissant was the perfect layers and textures and the filling was balanced and not too sweet which I liked. Will be back!"
"Today I really had a taste for some meat. I haven't been here for a couple years, but had a craving for a steak sandwich as wanted to finally leave a review.Mr D's is situated on a busy street, with no parking, so you're better off finding parking on a side street just be careful for resident parking only. Be aware that it's cash only, no cards, so you will have to hit up an atm prior. It's a tiny place with only four 4-person tables. I typically order for carry out and eat at home. This is a family run place with a very simple menu. You will see the same people working there every time. The wife is the one taking orders and she's a sweetheart. They have the process down to a Tee, and you will get your food quickly. It's nothing fancy but it's damn good, what they do, they do well. Everything is char grilled, by far my favorites are the steak sandwich and the cheeseburger or the double cheeseburger. The shish kabob sandwich is pretty good too, just be aware it's pork even though it tastes more like beef but again I have a hard time steering away from the steak sandwich. What is a steak sandwich? A thin cut of steak that's been marinated beautifully and char grilled. It comes topped with only tomatoes and onions and wrapped by French bread. It's also covered by thick cut fries. All sandwiches come with fries by default which is cool. The fries are a bit greasy, but in a good way. Mr.D is a great place to pick up food if you need a quick bite and have a taste for some char grilled meats. Give it a try, the pricing is also very reasonable, the steak sandwich is under $12 with taxes. Probably why they only take cash, to keep the prices down."
"Small in size but big and bold in flavor. Cannot rave more about chef Rick Bayless' casual yet elevated Mexican food. More pleased since his now-closed Red O in Los Angeles disappointed food wise, though the ambiance was beautiful. Ever had a Mexican-style pizza? It's called a tlayuda. Order to share!I chose the Asparagus & Ham Tlayuda. Fantastic! From the grilled asparagus, plentiful avocado chunks, roasted serrano crema and black bean spread, on a corn masa tostada. The ham was salty for me though. And it was huge! Like a large pizza. I shared some with my friend and we only ate 1/3.Papas Rancheras (smashed potatoes) - Watch out that first piece was really spicy! Such a culinary delight, from the contrast of the crispy outside and the soft fluffy inside, to the bomb cilantro crema, that I could drink.Baja Chicken Torta - packed with flavor with homemade fresco cheeseIt was hard deciding what to order. Tacos, salads, hearty soups, margaritas and beers also on the menu. Service was great, knowledgeable and efficient. My friend wanted to come back again during our trip. My tastebuds were all for it but I desired more eating adventures. Highly recommend. If I lived in Chicago, I'd be a regular! PLEASE me know what it would take to open a location in Los Angeles! Gracias!"
"Combines your local deli sandwich shop with a local wine shop for a perfect mix. Sandwiches are always made with fresh ingredients so you can be sure they are great quality. You can also buy some delicious extras like their fresh made chocolate chip cookies. Super friendly and welcoming staff."
"I'm usually a regular at the Hyde park location but I stopped in with a friend. I felt as though the menu is slightly different than the other one... the customer service wasn't that great... the cashier wasn't exactly friendly, but idk maybe she wasn't having a good day. The food was good, no complaints. They have a coffee bar inside this location, I don't believe the Hyde park spot has one."
"I visited Phoday for lunch on a Wednesday and found it to be fairly busy, yet the noise level was low. The space was clean, with pleasant music playing in the background. The service was quick and friendly, making for an enjoyable dining experience.Phoday offers a wide menu, including Halal meat options for pho. I ordered the #6 with beef broth and steak in a small size, which was more than enough for lunch. It was a delicious, hearty bowl of beef pho, and the pricing was reasonable. I would definitely come back."
"The food is amazing, the service is amazing and the people are kind. The restaurant is georgious and is very beautifully designed. I love to sit at the bar facing the window and just people watch while I eat Neapolitan pizza. It's so good that I usually order four pizzas and go every weekend at least once. It's my favorite pizza place, and I've been to almost every pizza place in Chicago; just no place does pizza better than Strapoli. If I could I would get a second job and move to the apartments closest to this restaurant so I can eat here every day. I strongly recommend the Margherita, Pistachina and Soppressata pizzas, in that order. I love the Soppressata because it has meat and has a beautifully sweet tang to it, while the pistachina is a more earthy and fulfilling pizza and the margherita is just so delicious and fulfilling."

Back again today for some delicious bagels! Both my daughters got the plain bagel toasted with cream cheese and I had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. We enjoyed them outside and they were delicious!

Sandwiches are the best and prepared well. They are on the pricey side but I love them a ton. Never had a bad sandwich from this place. Make sure to remember it's cash only as well, their Italian sub rules. They also have quality chips and drinks too which is a requirement for a good sub place. The staff is definitely on the quieter side but in the multiple times I've been there my order was correct and served quickly. Everyone here who is criticizing them seems to forget that working in service isn't always fun, they weren't rude but they aren't going to be cheery and honestly I don't care. I don't need to be buttered up and it's nice not having to make small talk while waiting for my sub. Also, they have never been outwardly ~rude~ to me, just quiet. Some people just want their asses kissed, I'm not that customer so take that for what you will. Anyway, the food is good, fast, and done right. Five stars for a good sub, always and forever.

Jaw dropping delicious chia tea latte. Best chai tea latte I'be had in awhile. This cafe is adorable, cozy and clean. Dine in or stop in and order your food to go. This would be great place to celebrate an occasion their desserts looked divine. We ordered our drinks and croissants to go service was great and fast! Highly recommend trying if you're in the area. Cheers!

This place makes some damn good sandwiches. It's a little hole in the wall type of place with a few tables inside, but most as I did, are doing takeout. It gets pretty busy inside but they take their sweet ass time making sure that the sandwiches are perfectly made. I ordered both their Shish Kabob and Steak Sandwich. Both were good in their own way but the Steak sandwich was my favorite. It was served with tomatoes and onions. The steak itself was thinly cut, very tender and perfectly seasoned. The shish kabob was also very tasty. This was also served with tomatoes. Both sandwiches were served with fires. The fries were freshly cut and also very delicious. This is a place I'll definitely be returning to. Their menu is simple and it all looks good. I'll probably try one of their burgers on my next visit.

I've found myself leaning away from mexican food lately, so when a coworker suggested this spot, I was on the fence. But I'm SO glad that I went along. We started out with Chicken & Mole Poblano Tlayuda to be shared with the table. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest mole fan and while delicious, having something sweet mixed in with what my tastebuds expect to be savory is always a challenge for me.For me, the Milanesa 1/2 Torta with a bowl of the famous Chicken Tortilla Soup was the highlight. It was the perfect amount for lunch and incredible flavors mixed all together. We all shared churros for dessert and, while I would like to go back for the churro sundae, overall it was a perfect way to cap off a work week in the windy city!

"I eat here regularly and they still make great Mr. Submarine sandwiches and great and fast service. The restaurant is well kept and the staff is friendly !!"
"First time at the restaurant but have ordered delivery before. We went on a Friday at around 7 and it wasn't super busy. Service was fast and hospitable. The restaurant is well lit and decorated tastefully with a Puerto Rican vibe. Latin music playing but not too loud. I got the Lechon dinner with mofongo. The pork was well seasoned and juicy. I had never had mofongo and was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty. My wife got the lechon jibarito and she enjoyed it very much. She asked for extra garlic and she said that took it over the top. We both got a side of maduros and they were just ok. Overall our experience at Borinquen was amazing and we will be back."
"Came in for lunch after a recent MDW flight and we were very happy with the choices. Gyro was great. Fries were great. The rib tips went down. The hot dogs did the trick. And there's just enough seating in here that we found a booth for the four of us to enjoy our grub.None of it knocked my socks off, but all of it was prepared well. Definitely a place I will hit on the way out after future flights!"
"For years I have coming here for fresh pasta. Today I had the lobster risotto and it was great! The service is prompt and my server, Maya, knows exactly what I want. The ambiance is delightfully Italian."
"I really, really want a place like Brett's Kitchen in my neighborhood!! It's warm, friendly, tidy, and welcoming. Bright colors, cool decor, open grill, and loads of healthy and vegetarian options for breakfast and lunch. And cans of cold Diet Coke, mmmmmm! My Impossible Burger and sweet potato fries are fantastic. Best meal all week! No wait to be seated, even at noon on a work day, and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Friendly staff. Loved this place!"
"Pretty good. 4 ladies came for lunch. We tried the calamari and lumpia. Great to share. We shared the tres leches French toast which I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet as I had expected. The short rib ways favorite- the marinade was smelled delicious and meat was tender. The breakfast chicken fine too. Some of us liked the chicken more since the short rib was a tad salty. So definitely like there non alcoholic drinks...the dark purple drink with ube and coconut was very yummy."
"Very excited to learned Jersey Mike's has gluten free bread. My sub was delicious and will be back. Having celiac disease really limits options. All the staff was very nice and accommodating to special requests."
"This place never disappoints. I used to come here 10+ years ago and it's just as good as I remember. They have a salad bar as well as various chicken options and wraps. Great spot to grab lunch!"
"Got some lunch at this unassuming cafe in the Loop. It didn't look like it would be that good, but it was much better than it appeared though. Avanti is basically like a deli with lots of salads and sandwiches, along with sweets such as cookies. For the location it wasn't that busy honestly. The prices are pretty okay for the small portions of salads. At lunch I wasn't that hungry. It turned out this was a perfect kind of place. The portions of the salads were just enough, and made a pretty healthy meal too. It's $4.50 for the small portions. There's a variety of salads. I got a couple of the vegetarian choices. The Italian Bean Salad was kind of like a typical one. Lots of beans. Making it better though was the addition of the Italian dressing along with the artichokes and carrots. Better than it looked to be. The Olive Salad also had some carrots in this. Lots of olives. This would make a great smorgasbord for parties. Come try the many salads they have. It has something for almost any taste. There's meaty ones with chicken and there's a few okay for vegetarians."
"Heard MANY GREAT praise about this deli via word of mouth! Ordered three six inch Cajun turkey breast and white turkey breast w/ everything on it!"
"This location is not only for take out but you can also dine in. They have a good amount of seating. Since it's next door to AMC, you can park in the same lot. However, if you go at night for dinner, be prepared to drive around looking for closer spots. It didn't take long for the food to come out. I ordered Tha Bomb and chose my lobster tail and shrimp grilled. It came on a garlic brioche bun. The house made Surf Sauce was very tasty. No complaints about the grilled lobster nor the grilled shrimp, they were cooked beautifully. French fries were delicious, nice seasoning that wasn't overly salty. I had a taste of the dirty rice and I found it bland like they forgot to season it. Prices are typical for seafood in this State. Service was decent."
"The good: Generous portions, the food is pretty good, service is fast, there are lots of options, and the staff are super nice to you if you are at least polite to them. They are also happy to customize orders for you.The bad: this is in a somewhat sketchy part of town. I mean, the kitchen is behind a huge plexiglass (bulletproof?) screen. That being said, I've walked here more than once and never had an issue.I certainly haven't tried everything from here, but have had a couple different kinds of sandwiches, fries, pizza puff and chicken nuggets. I'd rate them from good to less good in that order too. The food in general has not blown me away, but it's a helluva lot better than chain sandwich shops! And as a locally-owned place, I gotta support them, so it's really a win-win.Like I said, give it a try, go in hungry, be nice, and these guys will seriously take care of you."
"Great tasting food. Great value. Highly recommend the chicken breast pita. Pork kabobs are great also."
"Ambience - cute, unique decor, intimate w upbeat music (at the right volume!) Food - great! I appreciate a breakfast that I can't make myself at home. I recommend Carnitas skillet, horchata latte, avocado toast, fruit plate is not your lazy fruit plate - fresh w variety. My kid loves the coconut chicken and waffles Service - very friendly. Depending how crowded you might wait a little for your food but it comes out hot.Right off the western blue line."
"Batter done right - fried okra was amazing! My friend devoured his wings as well. My vegetarian burrito was delicious and filling. She was able to swap out a few things for me as well. So friendly! I ended up ordering a steak to go. Everything from sauces to side dishes are done with care.Prices are great and the service was exceptional. I see lots of people ordering take out since they are on uber eats and a few more delivery apps. Can't wait to come back and try their breakfast offerings!"
"I know y'all think Chicagoan's eat stuffed pizza all year round. For me I crave it like once a year. But on the day I ordered a stuffed pizza from Slice Factory my craving went unsatisfied. Stuffed pizza takes a really long time to cook because it's so thick. I got mine by delivery and all the timing added up. But the pizza was extra doughy in the middle and almost floppy at the bottom? I even tried to save it by cooking it longer in my oven and the crust just wasn't right. The sauce and cheese were ok. It just didn't have the flavor I'm used to from other local pizza places. Maybe the giant slices are a different story. And they do have late night hours. Just not going to rush to try Slice Factory again."
"We were unable to visit Greek town so we door dashed gyros! Best gyros I've had so far and I am always on the hunt for my favorites comfort food. Big thick cuts of meat, tons of yogurt sauce, and the warm soft pita! Chef's kiss!"
"I eat here all the time. It's right on my way home and near the California exit to the Kennedy. There's always a parking spot on the other side of the street. The sandwiches are much more than generous and because I don't eat meat I always get the veggie sub. It's incredible! The cost to food portion ratio is very unbalanced to the benefit of the customer. You get a HUGE SANDWICH, and it's a custom, carefully handcrafted piece of real food wrapped in a paper that will barely contain its spillover as you eat it (some of them are a little messy to eat in a medieval-food-orgyish kind of way).In summary: they're fast, reasonably priced, orgasmically delicious and served by cool people.Eat here and write about it on Yelp!"
"Fabulous bagels- so warm and flavorful! And so many choices! The posh, top-shelf cheese and onion one is out of this world! The cost was higher than I expected, as my meal came to nearly $20 with sandwich, soda, chips, and tip. So I think this will be a special treat outing, but was sooooo good!! Friendly staff. Clean space. It was fun to watch the baker in action, too!"
"I don't drink coffee--so why do I love this coffee shop? First, they take tea seriously ( mostly hot, but they is usually have at least one variety of iced tea on hand). They also have nice baked goods, and sandwiches at lunch. Their breakfast sandwiches are also mouth watering. But in the end it's all about the staff. Super friendly, to literally everyone. Their slogan ("We filter coffee not people") Turkey reflects who they are!"
"I love Colectivo and was excited to try this location, it's really adorable and cozy inside. It happened to be a gorgeous day when I visited so the garage doors were opened and the place was packed! Despite that, the friendly staff was able to take my order quickly. I went with the iced pistachio matcha latte which was sooo yummy. The pistachio flavor complimented the matcha so nicely -- it was nutty, slightly sweet, and deliciously creamy. Since it was lunchtime, I also ordered the turkey club which was bomb. I love a good turkey sandwich and this is just that. The sandwich has smoked turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pesto mayo piled high on sourdough. So yummy! My love for Colectivo continues to grow."
"Tried the gym shoe sandwich today! OMG - blown away. Worth the drive out if one does not live in the area."
"My wife and I loved it here!!! The food was so good!!! Rib tips were super tender - at other places I've had rib tips that were over cooked, charred and cheery but Ella's were awesome. The brisket and pulled pork were also fantastic. Super flavorful. The different sauces were sweet, spicy, tangy. Mac and cheese and beans were both great. The service here is very friendly, attentive. The woman behind the counter make our experience very welcoming; she was going above and beyond. It's a very clean spot. All tables were spotless. Would definitely come back!!! Great Chicago BBQ joint"
