Katie E. "I came into Aster hall looking for something sweet, and just my luck there was a CHOCOLATE BAR. I love me some sweets, so it's hard to disappoint me when it comes to sugar. After perusing all the of the lovely looking items, I decided to go with an almond croissant. This was a mistake. I took one bite of the croissant, and it was ROCK.SOLID. Like, not crunchy on the outside, pillow-y on the inside. The entire thing was a crouton. I don't know if this batch was just waaay over cooked, or if it had just been sitting out for that long that it was stale beyond belief. All I do know though, is that was hands down the WORST croissant I've ever had in my life. And I've eaten convenient store croissants. I'm giving 2 stars because all the treats look visually appealing, and maybe other items aren't as terrible as the croissant. But for me, it was a complete and utter waste of money."

My husband, baby, and I came to eat here for an early dinner when we were in town. They were kind about our running late and let us keep our baby in his stroller so we could eat. The octopus is perfectly cooked and comes with a really good green sauce. The clam dish comes with a great red sauce I highly recommend getting more bread for to enjoy. The pesto gnocchi are wonderfully seasoned. The German Riesling was a pleasant surprise, since a lot of Italian restaurants stick to Italian wine. My husband really enjoyed his old fashioned. Great restaurant! Highly recommend."

The staff when I went were really nice and patient while I decided what I wanted to try. I got my tacos to go and they were still warm when I got home. They gave me 2 types of sauces, a red and a green. Usually I love the green sauce but the red was spice and tasty. I'll have to try the food while eating there so it's freshly out of the kitchen. The steak taco was pretty good. They do have taco Tuesday specials!"

There's always a parking spot on the other side of the street. The sandwiches are much more than generous and because I don't eat meat I always get the veggie sub. It's incredible! The cost to food portion ratio is very unbalanced to the benefit of the customer. You get a HUGE SANDWICH, and it's a custom, carefully handcrafted piece of real food wrapped in a paper that will barely contain its spillover as you eat it (some of them are a little messy to eat in a medieval-food-orgyish kind of way).In summary: they're fast, reasonably priced, orgasmically delicious and served by cool people.Eat here and write about it on Yelp!"

So they did have us leave at some point (although they did feel bad about sort of kicking us out). The food was solid and reasonably priced, and we tried a bunch of different plates. My favorite dish was the Spanish tortilla: it melted in my mouth. But!The drinks were AMAZING. I loved how weird and tasty and cocktails were. The fiesta one?? With corn flavor without being too corn? The mint lemon? These were great, and I loved them, and I ordered definitely several too many cocktails because of it."

They have these little "tree house" seating options in the windows that are so fun and would be a great option to camp out and get some work done or have a coffee date!I pulled up their website to refresh my memory on the name of the drink I ordered and learned that their other locations are actually in Amsterdam, Dubai, and two other cities in the Netherlands...so cool! I went with the iced knafeh latte off the seasonal menu. The drink is a double shot of espresso and milk topped with housemade knafeh cream, toasted kataifi, and pistachios. The drink was creamy, toasted, and just sweet enough without it being overpowering. I was able to find metered street parking right out front which was really convenient. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!"

Hersh A. "Naatu is a nice quality, family-friendly Indian restaurant that serves tasty South Indian as well as North Indian dishes. On my recent visit, I had a good experience dining in as my party, and I received good service and tasty, flavorful food. The restaurant was semi-busy when we got there and afterward, it got even more busy. We did not have a reservation, so upon arrival, we were asked if we had one, and if not, there was a wait. We mentioned that we did not know that reservations were required. Luckily, due to the size of my group, we lucked out and scored a table pretty quickly. The service was prompt. The menu variety was good with lots of options from the different regional Indian cuisine varieties. I was in the mood for South Indian food. So, I ordered a dish called Guntur Chili Masala Dosa. It's a savory, fermented rice batter dosa (Indian style crepe) with seasoned potatoes filling. What stood out for me about this dish was that it was spicy dosa with a special chili paste inside it. That's why I ordered it. The others in my party also ordered South Indian dishes, and we also ordered a chili (saucy, not dry) sautéed paneer appetizer and saag (spinach) paneer with rice and garlic naan. Everybody in my group, including me, enjoyed the dishes we ordered. We liked the food for its quality and taste. The flavors and texture were delicious. The chutneys and sambar to go along with the dosas were quite tasty as well. The paneer dishes and garlic naan were to our liking as well. We all agreed that this restaurant is worth visiting again to try the other options they have on their menu. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The ambiance was pleasant. It had nice decor and lighting. Despite being busy (which is good), the service was on point. Even the restaurant manager checked on us to see how we liked the restaurant and what we thought of the food. I have now found four suburban Indian restaurants (w/ Naatu being the fourth, new one) that serve good, tasty South Indian food. I definitely recommend checking out Naatu."

The waitress was awesome. I had to decide between multiple dishes that looked appealing, so she told me her favorite was the chorizo Benedict and I wanted one of the special drinks. I was wary of the name but decided on the Baby girl. Food came out quick and everything was really good and cooked to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs cooked perfectly so when I broke the yolk it came pouting out. Hash browns were good but could have been cooked a little more crispy. Laverne A. "The squad Christina Tosi put together for Netflix "Bake Squad" was amazing. It includes Maya -Camille Broussard, flavor queen, Ashley Holt, cake expert, Gonzo Jimenzo, chocolatier and Christopher Rull, design mavericks this team had me glued to to series. But Maya Camille wins on the show kept me wondering about the savory and sweet flavor profiles she created. So when I was reading a local newspaper here in Chicago and saw an article that she would be opening a brick and mortar location I had to go. I didn't make the soft launch but I stopped by after church today. Let me start with the location, it's on the corner of 86th St and Blackstone, entrance on Blackstone and the kitchen view is on 86th. I saw Maya-Camille in the kitchen doing her thing and I started to have a fan moment but realized two things 1) due to a childhood accident she lost a % of her hearing 2) I didn't want the stalking fan moment. So I went into the facility and place my order. I wanted to try several things to find my favorites.I purchased the Tomato Basil Quiche, Lemon Pound cake, Key Lime Pie and a Shokupan Cinnamon roll ( it's a Japanese milk bread way too much cream frosting for me. But the roll was AMAZING. HECK everything was soo flavorful now I understand the "Queen of flavor" title she gained on the show. The location is clean and smells very nice honestly everything in the bakery and restaurant section was soo clean. She also sells trinkets like hoodies, tshirts, hats and other merchandise with her monogram saying on it "Hey Cutie Pie" I almost brought a hoodie until I saw a $85 price tag on it. But let me tell you the fabric was the business. It was thick and very good quality. Speaking of price do not go there expecting a $3.00 slice of pie or a whole cake for $40 it ain't happening. The ingredients of these goodies, the flavor and the service is beyond the cost. Everything was delicious May God continue to bless this family and Maya-Camille's ministry."

Easy to miss because it's in not such a happening area. The place is pretty small, meaning most people get takeout. After hearing about it we decided to come here. It has a pretty big menu for a small place. The advertisement inside was for the Thai Red Tea. It's $6 for a large. This is made with soda water and syrup. Simple but good. We found it incredibly refreshing. On to food. There's of course noodles and rice. It's about $9 for an entree. These come with a protein choice. We both got tofu. Good portions even at lunch. We had some classic Thai. I had the Pad See Ew. This has eggs but I left these off. She had the Pad Thai, good and basic. The food came out fast and the owner was about as friendly as there is. Helpful making choices. The medium spice level is plenty for most. Get your fill of reasonably priced Thai food. It has a lot of flavor and you can adjust the seasonings even hotter. It's a big spacious building with plenty of seats available at any given time. When entering, the ordering line is on the far left side of the counter. If ordering pizza, the pizza is already pre made. They just have to be heated up and then taken to your table. I just ordered pizza but they have plenty of other Italian dishes to order. I went with a slice of their pepperoni and a slice of their Pizza Pompei. These are some gigantic slices. The pictures don't show how large they truly are. One is definitely filling. The pepperoni slice was good, and I was especially looking forward to eating their Pompei slice. I've been obsessed with "grandma" slices lately and this definitely reminded me of one. But sadly I was not a big fan. I had no idea it came with olives. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. Don't like to waste time picking things out of my food.
