"I'm in town for a couple days and decided to join my friends for dinner at Little Wok. This place does take reservations, but we did not need one. It was 5 PM on a Thursday and the place was pretty empty. There are a lot of seating and it is nicely decorated. Julian (the busboy) came as soon as I sat down to fill our cups with water and was very attentive whenever we needed refills. Our waiter, Sam, was so nice and checked in on us periodically to make sure we were doing alright. The food came out in a timely manner, which I really appreciated. I had the avocado roll as my appetizer, which came with 10 rolls. It was fresh and they provided soy sauce. As my main portion, I had the walnut shrimp. It came with a side of rice as well. The walnut shrimp was creamy and also came with broccoli. It was a good portion size, so I even had some leftovers."
"We started off with the calamari appetizer. I love spice but my husband does not. The calamari itself was not spicy but the veggies that were served with it packed some heat, so we were both pleased with this appetizer and would eat it again for sure! I ordered the dry paneer with chili sauce (spicy), I added mixed veggies for $1 more and loved it! The dry paneer was in small dice sized cube and were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would eat this again for sure! My husband had the combo fried rice (mild) the texture was great, and very flavorful m, he highly recommends it! He would have it again for sure. The water they gave us had no ice so it was not as cold as I prefer but it was ok."

"I'm kind of glad the other En Hakkore location closed. Although the food was good there, I wasn't a big fan of their takeout only and no interaction with staff setup. The food at this location is just as good with much more options. My son ordered their tacos again, and my wife also order their Beef Bibimbap again. Both tasted just as good as the first time. I ordered their Crunch & Fire Sushi Burrito this time around. I've always wanted to try a sushi burrito and I'm glad I finally got to try one. It was really delicious but somewhat difficult to eat without using the wrapper to hold everything together. Would definitely order it again though."
"Had a blast at the hibachi table with a group of 4 that included kids! They have a kids menu which was great and still was essentially the same amount if food as the adult portions. I tried the salmon which came with 2 filets. It was great and there was plenty to take home for leftovers. The service was great and the kiddos loved the show!"
"Wanted to try this place and didnt really know what to expect. Didnt even k ow what was on the menu. Im glad we decided to because the food was great! Its a small cozy place. Street parking available. And service was great! We were so hungry we ordered ao mich atuff they had to connect 2 tables to fit the food lol.Takoyaki was good. The chicken karaage looked a bit burnt on the outside but the inside was still tender. The squid karaage was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We also had the shrimp robata which had 3 gigantic shrimp per skewer and the sauce had a bit of a kick in it. We also ordered the Ebi Tempura Don which honestly wasnt what I was expecting. I was expecting the classic tempura shrimp but it wasnt. It didnt taste bad tho.The Hibachi Steak Bowl however was my favorite and i would definitely come back for this!!! Check this place out if you havent!!! Happy Eating!!!"
"Very good Japanese and Thai food. Also, very fast pick up. The first time I tried I felt it was a bit bland about a year ago. I'm so glad I gave it another chance bc I've ordered now at least four times and always delicious."
"Had dinner here last weekend with friends and just really enjoyed this place. It was really good Chinese and Asian food, after a long time. The place isn't too fancy or anything. It kind of has a strange layout too, where you have to go around the bend to the seating area. It's not a big place, at all inside. The service was kind of OK - the lady admittedly was on her first day, but she just wasn't up with the service. For example, just not doing refills, not knowing the menu, etc. I get it - first day. I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt. Our friends that took us there vouch for this place; they're regulars. And there were right on one thing; the food was great. The Ma Po Tofu was great. The Kung Pao Vegetables were also good. There was this veggie sushi, which I really loved. It had some crispy stuff in there. I can't find it on the online menu, but whichever one it was, I loved it. We also had the veggie fried rice, which was just OK. I ate a LOT of food there, cuz it was so good. You know, there are SO many more amazing looking options on the menu, I definitely would want to come back here to give it a shot. In fact, I noticed there's another location down near West Town, so I'll definitely give it a shot. Now that I think about it - maybe we already have? Hmm... I'll have to look in to that. Well, great job at this location and thanks for a great evening."
"It's more like a 4.5 but I'll round up. This little sushi Thai spot holds a lot of flavor. Their menu is quite large with so much to choose from. The staff is super friendly and answered the many questions my table had and even flipped through their TV menu because my nephew saw a picture of something he liked but didn't know the name. That extra step they took added to our amazing experience. The service is quick and the food is freshly made. For appetizers started with chicken. Egg rolls and pot stickers. Loved them both. The crispness of the pot stickers was sheer perfection. The crab Rangoons were a bit bigger than I was expecting. It was my first time having them. I'm still on the fence with taste. Their sushi lists has a lot of options we finally decided on three of them and they were all pretty tasty. Sushi is a hit or a miss for me, but this place does it well. The main entrees I always love a good pad thai and this place is up there on my list of pad thai places. The sesame chicken was also seasoned really well. Every one in my group seemed to enjoy their meals. My mom had the salmon thai she was hoping the salmon would have been grilled or something extra it was bland for her. They do a special thing for birthdays which is nice. Overall a great visit and if I'm not trying to go into the city for sushi this place does the job."
"Just found out about this place and it wasn't too far so I gave it a try. Not a lot of great takeout sushi places in AH/Palatine...I was pleased with the maki rolls. The classic rolls were fantastic, and the specialty rolls I ate were solid in taste, but the variety of specialty rolls leaves something to be desired. Felt like a lot were similar to each other. The woman taking the order over the phone was pleasant. Service was good when we got there to pick up the order. She made sure everything was packed and included before we left. Interior is pretty standard modern industrial fare. A lot of space...only had 1 couple dining in when I was there.I like the smaller packets of soy sauce they provide. As they are a new business, they have a 25% off all regular price orders. Don't know when that expires, but for now, it is a great deal.I'll be back the next time I order sushi. Certainly a business to give a chance. I saw a review commenting on a smell inside the restaurant. I did not notice any odors."
"Swung by to grab take out. The hostess was exceptionally helpful and rather proud of their homemade sauces, they did not disappoint. How great to be able to choose from a few different types of Asian dishes. Egg Rolls, Goyza, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, green tofu curry... all delicious."
"Came to get lunch at this unassuming Asian restaurant on Division. It turned out to only be doing takeout so I got it to go. Silli Kori is casually elegant and certainly it's not silly. Has pretty good prices for the quality. There's lunch specials and many things for any preferences of tastes. At lunch is the best time to come. It had pretty affordable lunch specials going on. This is only for weekdays. Has a lot to choose from. It's about $9 for the cheapest specials. Pick a noodle or rice. Then choose a protein. It's a few bucks or more for each. This then comes with a side. Add a few more bucks if wanting a soup. The one I got was the woonsen noodles, and I got it with tofu. Appetizer was the vegetable tempura. The noodles were those glassy ones and came with a good variety of vegetables. Carrots, long beans, and more. This was a good amount for the cheap price. Has only dinner on Sundays, but the rest of the week also has lunch. It only does takeout earlier so plan ahead about when to go make an order. There's plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians."

Based on the mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised!! We ordered on door dash from a huge menu. We went with the:- Scheuzan chicken 8/10- Pad see ew 9.5/10- steamed gyoza 8/10This is the best pad see ew I have found in wicker park. I've struggled to find good Thai here! Delivery or within walking. All the normal recs have been disappointing for this dish. Little wok nailed this! Good flavor, good portion. My only wish was a little more spice but overall will def get again. My husband liked his too but it didn't come with white rice like those dishes normally do which we thought was strange... def should. We also both enjoyed the gyoza.Haven't tried the sushi or "Chinese" side of the menu but liked the Thai!

There used to be a legendary Indo-Chinese restaurant in this complex called the Hot Wok Village.. that place is now defunct but the owner Joseph Lee retells that legend with his, Hakka Wok restaurant.I dined-in here for Father's Day weekend and was met with nostalgia as all the items we ordered retained the same great taste from years past. We stuck to the vegetarian menu and loved every bit of it:- Sweet Corn Soup (pro tip, add some vinegar from the green spice condiment to this)- Veg. Szechwan Spring Roll- Veg. Baby Corn Bhazzia- Veg. Ginger Fried Rice- Veg. Szechwan Noodles- White Rice BowlThis food is meant to be eaten in the restaurant and shared family style and I assure you, you will leave content and satisfied when you do!

This has easily become one of my favorite spots in Chicago-- a casual counter service spot in the heart of Wicker Park serving fresh and flavorful poke bowls and sushi burritos. I ordered the Kimchi Salmon Poke Bowl, which was so delicious-- the salmon was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth; the mix of creamy and crunchy textures and the mix of spicy and savory flavors were extremely pleasant. We also ordered the Bulgogi Fries, which were great-- the fries were crispy and elevated when combined with different the textures and flavors of the sauces and bulgogi. I also tried a couple bites of the Friend and Crunch & Fire sushi burritos, which were equally flavorful and the textures were satisfying-- a soft and chewy exterior combined with a crunchy and crispy interior. The prices felt pretty fair too, especially for the freshness, and the service was quick and friendly. I'm excited to come to En Hakkore 2.0 again to try their other menu items!-- Price (relative to peers): 4.3/5Food: 5/5Ambience: 5/5Service: 5/5Overall Value: 5/5

We got sushi here and the selection is huge, they have the classic rolls and also a bunch of specialty rolls. May favorirecommend the Fire Agate which has lobster and is topped with scallop and spicy mayo. That was my favorite roll we tried. They also have ramen, Teppanyaki, noodles and other Asian dishes. The service was kind of slow so that is my only feedback but overall was pleased with the experience.

Three of us came for dinner. This is a quaint place with amazing service. We started with the okonomiyaki. Not a huge portion but packed with flavor. I was expecting something more crispy but it was on the softer side. I had the tonkatsu ramen. Comes with 3 pieces of yummy pork belly as bamboo shoots and half an egg and bunch of corn kernels. Lots of wonderful broth.

Dowize Bistro has the best and affordable lunch here in Wilmette. I got the pad Thai with fried tofu as the complimentary appetizer. It also came with a small salad and soup. Big hearty portion! The food quality is excellent, and the variety is pretty extensive across several different cuisines and including multiple protein and vegetarian options. The ingredients have always been very fresh and prepared beautifully, and served generously. There is an array of traditional and modern Thai and Chinese dishes including curries, rice, noodles, bento boxes and sushi, and complete entrees and special meals. A personal highlight is they have ice-blended fruit freeze bubble tea drinks, which are a real treat on a nice day. Great little restaurant- Thai and Sushi. Everything very fresh and tasty! Efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended! Definitely will be back soon.

Little Wok in Wicker Park is closer to home, but I accidentally ordered from this location instead. The recipes should be the same, no? Yes, but the Buddha's Delight had slightly more flavor from Wicker Park's location. The Szechwan Wontons were also lacking in flavor, as if they forgot to use salt. There wasn't much sauce to it either... Generous size though. The Hot and Sour Soup was as expected. Overall, I was content with the food, and prices were reasonable!

"I feel like Chinese restaurants are the kings of properly packing and securing the takeout food. I know we all saw that Curb episode but my experience has always been flawless. Be sure to tip generously when ordering on Christmas Day because these Chinese restaurants are doing all us hungry people a favor by staying open5 stars"
"Came here for some Ramen, but I honestly didn't expect that huge of a wait time. We were told an hour wait for two people, and we were planning on doing some breweries after our dinner here, but ended up doing those in the hour we had to wait. So at the end of the day, no time lost but damn... an hour? Not sure if it's exactly worth the wait, the place is tiny and most of the people waiting for the table crowd the entrance up so it makes it difficult to get in and out of this place. Once seated, the customer service was friendly, but I felt the ramen took a little longer than usual to come out. The place is small, so there's not a huge amount of tables to have to be served, so I didn't quite get the lengthy wait time. We did start out with an order of their Yaki Beef Gyoza. You get 5 pieces and they were pretty tasty. They did disappear fast though. My wife ordered their House Shoyu and I ordered their Shio House. Both were pretty tasty and overall very filling. The shio was saltier but more flavorful. Unlike other Ramen places, Monster Ramen appears to only offer beef as their protein. So all their offerings are definitely on the higher side. You'll definitely be paying a premium here. They don't offer pork or chicken, which usually tends to be on the cheaper side. Overall I really enjoyed my meal. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, they have a long wait time, but they do serve some damn good tasting ramen. I can definitely see myself returning here often."
"Bop N Grill was unexpectedly awesome. It seems like one of those corporate places where you order at the counter and get stuff in a bowl. Other than that, it has much better food and better service. Good prices for as much as they give. They have a lot of healthy choices like tofu. A majority of customers get a bowl. It's about the best value you can get. These can get pretty much unlimited amounts of toppings. It's about $9 for a bowl. There's lots of protein choices, including beef, chicken, and tofu. I like the Fire Tofu Bowl. This comes with rice and vegetables. It has a slightly spicy sauce that adds lots of flavor. This isn't too hot but you can add some more hotter sauces. It has a lot in a bowl. These can come with rice or salad. Get healthy. If looking for a fast meal that won't make you fat, come here to get it. This is a wise choice for both carnivores and vegetarians."
"The food is generally good. $7.95 lunch specials and a relatively efficient jaunt down Oakton make this a dependable lunch option for me, closer and slightly cheaper than my other favorite. My preferred entrees are pad thai and ginger. Spicy basil is okay, but the ground chicken is not the greatest. In general, the vegetables seem to be pretty fresh in all of the dishes, which counts for a lot in my book. They include a few pieces of fresh fruit in the lunch special; that's a nice touch. Also, the portions are modest--you get enough but not too much."
"I am always a little wary of modern Asian or Asian fusion restaurants, because I wonder if they are just regular dimsum restaurants with jacked up prices. After dining here, I have to say that the food is indeed very good...with somewhat jacked up prices. Our favorites:* Tuna Truffle Pizza* Steamed Buns with Pork Belly* Hamachi Tartare* Baked Snow Crab Handroll* Tom Yum Sea Bass* Crispy Rice with Wagyu Beef* Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna* Escolar "The Great White"The sushi rolls -- Panda Roll and Red Dragon Roll -- were good, but can be good at other sushi restaurants. Similarly, the Adobo Fried Rice and Pad Thai were good too, but can be good at other restaurants. The only dish that I did not like was the Grilled Vegetables; it was extremely salty. For dessert, we got the Mochi Ice Cream and Coconut Cheesecake. Both were delicious. The Mochi Ice Cream had creative flavors like taro and sweet potato. The Coconut Cheesecake was light and airy, so you won't feel guilty for eating a few more bites. ;)"
"I went in for breakfast and the food was fresh, hot, and served timely. The staff is kind, thankful and attentive. I am very happy for a restaurant like this close to where I live. I'll be back!"
"I came here with my family and we got the nori grand sushi and sashimi combo which is an amazing deal for what you get. The fish was really fresh and everything is perfectly shareable for a party of 2-3. On the top we got the chicago crunchy crazy: this was so fun to eat because of the burst of tobiko eggs and I love the combination of fishes and the mexican roll: the flavors for this one was different with the fresh squeezed lime and chili oil but everything worked so well together! The ambiance was really cute and quaint and I would recommend to others!"
"Kinta Sushi has one of those unassuming store fronts since it's tucked away in a small strip mall next to a convenient store and Chinese buffet, but they're actually pretty legit. We came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty, so it seems to be more of a take out spot. The portions are fairly generous at the price point and we've always had a good experience. All the servers are always hustling and make sure drinks are always topped off and the food comes out quickly. As someone with a more Americanized palate who doesn't typically eat more traditional sashimi/nigiri, I usually stick to the deep-fried specialty rolls. The King Kong and Miami rolls are my personal favorites. The other rolls our group usually recommends are the Cry Cry, Love Love, and Atlantic rolls.Overall, Kinta is a super reliable, local sushi spot. They are a small business with hard-working employees so I'd recommend to give them a shot."
"At the end of a long week, ordering in seemed the best way to go. Oh boy was it ever! Take a Bao Eats popped up in my ordering app and immediately I was curious because who doesn't love Baos? There were a number of options, so a bit undecided I put 2 shrimp, 2 pork, and 2 chicken Baos into my cart and an order of vegetable dumplings. About 30 minutes later, they arrived. On opening the bag, my expectations were far exceeded, there was a personalized handwritten note to express appreciation for the business. That just made me happy knowing they care about customers even on delivery orders. Each Bao was in its own individual packaging and everything was labeled clearly on each container. They even provide extra spicy aioli sauces which really made these delicious. For $7 each I was pleasantly surprised by their size. Actually they were well filled and had refreshing red cabbage slaw to go with it.I was stuffed after eating two, so needless to say I'll be eating these for a few meals. Yay! Despite all the ridiculous fees on the app, I would absolutely 1000% recommend giving Take a Bao your business. I am sold."
"Definitely the source for happiness Delicious food, ambiance and restaurant staff in regular days or extremely busy days!!!"
"Sushi Badaya clearly strives for excellence and their passion is palpable with every bite. If it's true that we eat first with the eyes, then your peepers are really going to enjoy a trip here. Beautiful plating accents every order, and is as wonderful to look at as it is to taste.Sashimi was incredibly fresh, oysters were perfectly prepared, and three sake courses paired excellently.Service could not have been better. Korean speakers will especially enjoy the sushi bar."
"Wow! This place is outstanding. The food was delicious! I ordered the Teriyaki Steak, fried rice, and vegetables. It was so good. The steak was tender with nice flavor. The fried rice, delicious, it was moist with great flavors. The vegetables were very good as well. It was an absolutely delicious dish. I highly recommend this place. The man who was at the front taking my order was very nice, and explained how to order, he was vert pleasant. Great experience."
"06/15/24 - Today we went back to take advantage of our Groupon purchase. We bought $30 worth of food for $15. This time we both ordered poke bowls. I ordered the salmon poke bowl & my wife ordered the tuna poke bowls. They were both deliciousBoth were served over a bed of rice w/masago (fish roe), shredded crab meat, lettuce, roasted garlic, diced cucumbers, diced green peppers & cilantro. Of course my wife's had tuna & mine had salmon. We mixed it up so all the ingredients could be blended & eaten (like halo halo). I added hot sauce to mine. Awesome meal very filling and nutritious. I love this place they have a huge variety of Korean food options & is absolutely worth checking out. I just wish I lived closer to Arlington Heights, but I will definitely be back again"
"Downtown Libertyville PRO TIP: Eat lunch at 1 pm to avoid the lunch crowd. They sold me with garlic naan. I don't know why that's not a staple at every Indian restaurant. It should be. And I can say the garlic naan didn't disappoint.Singh's Kitchen is trendy and fits right in with the other spots on Milwaukee Ave. It's actually a lot bigger once you get inside and realize it spans two store fronts. The big windows also make for a perfect spot to eat, chat, and people watch. There's a couple of interesting options on the menu so rather than sticking with one of my typical picks, I chose the Garlicghee Surf and Turf. Points for the clever name because I love a good pun. The pork and veggies were delicious. The rice was a simple yellow/turmeric rice, def the right option for this dish. The surf part of this dish was shrimp and it just didn't work for me. The meal it self was very flavorful, but the shrimp didn't feel cohesive with the pork and it was a little overcooked. Still a good dish, but I'll probably do some more exploring on the menu next time. I also tried the vegetable samosa and would absolutely recommend them. Also worth noting, when I was walking out I saw a buffet set up so it looks like their brunch buffet (that I read about in much older reviews) may have returned!"
"I am writing this review less than 30 minutes after we picked up our dumplings. No pictures because they were so delicious that our family of four finished 24 dumpling in minutes!! So, so tasty. Buy twice as many as you think you want. They will disappear. Will return - probably this week."
"Pad Thai here is a must! I have had beef and chicken pad Thai for delivery and take out and it has been great both times. Most recently I had the lunch special which came with an egg roll, edamame, crab Rangoon, or fried tofu. I opted for the egg roll. It also came with a small salad and miso soup. While everything tasted great, I would've preferred a larger pad Thai serving without the miso soup and salad. Regardless, I will be back."
"Our table wasn't ready so we went to get a drink in back lounge. Cute lounge. You can choose from a tasting menu or a la carte menu. We did a la carte. Pork belly, wagyu and short ribs. Korean pancakes, Kimchi stew and the grill accompaniments. Super yummy and we were so full. Meats are grilled by the wait staff. Service was great and attentive."
"Small but mighty, Osaku Asian Kitchen serves up delicious Asian food in a small restaurant that does mostly carryout (but has 2 tables for dine-in, no washroom available though). With low prices and a varied menu, I was inclined to check this place out and was glad I did.I did opt to dine in on my visit here and had quick and friendly service, as they spent time between fulfilling pickup orders checking in for water refills or additional items needed. In terms of decor, there's not much here as the dine in area is the same as what you'd generally get from a waiting area in similar restaurant. I tried the bibimbap here and was quite happy with the portion size and meat provided. It was a good mix of spicy and sweet with rice that was a bit wetter and a good amount of egg provided (to make it extra rich). The vegetables tasted fresh and the overall flavor was good. I also tried some simple maki options, the california roll, alaska roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The vegetables and fish tasted fresh, with fairly generous sized portions of the seafood. The rolls could have had a bit more textural contrast, particularly between the shrimp tempura and vegetables, but i did like the colorful and neat presentation of the food.Overall, a solid choice for Asian food in the area with fairly good prices, good portion sizes, and yummy flavors."
"Fine if you're in the area.Based on the reviews, I wasn't expecting amazing things from Dib. I was really in it for the company, not the food.I checked out the website before dinner to get a fell for what I'd like. The landing page is a bit of a hot mess - dark grey with black text, a menu link that 404s. If you want a peek at the menu, choose one of the ordering options. We started out with crab rangoon and edamame. The crab rangoon was probably my favorite part of the meal and a standout compared to others I've had.For my main, I got two rolls - Black and White and Untitled. Both were marked spicy, but neither was really. The super white tuna seemed cooked, poached maybe which wasn't in the description. It was fine, but probably not something I'd order again. I preferred the Untitled, but the texture of the seared spicy tuna on top was a little strange. I'm not sure if it wasn't seared enough or something else. Honestly, I wouldn't have guessed it was seared had I not revisited the menu. The portions for both rolls was generous and I was quite full. The place is BYOB, which was nice and staff was friendly. They didn't rush us out as they closed for the evening. Aside from sushi, they have Thai dishes as well.Bottom line, it won't be the most amazing sushi you've ever had."
"We walked right in, after our favorite place next door had a line. They sat us right away and it became clear shortly that they were a little short staffed: we weren't in a rush so no sweat , but they insisted on covering our appetizer as a way to make it up to us, even though we were totally fine! The food took a little bit but it was delicious, and they happily accommodated my noodle switch request. They redid the decor as well and it's a full bar if you're interested! Highly recommend, we will be back!"
"This place's name confused me for the longest time - like, it's called Pho's, but that's traditionally a Vietnamese dish. But this place specializes in Thai food. BUT - they actually do have Pho on the menu? Well anyway, what they're really known for is great Thai food...but you also can't ignore the "Spicier" in their name.I like heat in my food, but you need to heed their warnings here. I usually go with "Mild Plus", which would probably equate to a level above medium at most other spots. Of course if you were nuts you could try for their spice challenges, but I find it more enjoyable to watch other people attempt them.Pretty much everything is good here. I usually go for the pad khe mao, parang curry or green curry, and have never been disappointed. Their lunch specials are amazing too, as you get a small soup and egg roll with your food, and is usually my go to when I forget to do groceries before the week starts. The actual location is pretty tightly packed, but other than that it's a great mainstay of the area and a spot worthy journeying out to this small spot of Lakeview for."
"I travel to Thailand frequently and this restaurant reminds of trips to Bangkok for the great street food. I had Pad Thai with extra spice, my bride got the vegetarian and gluten-free option of the same. We both really liked the food. They even gave us a small free spring roll appetizer. Again very good food. But it was the happy helpful workers that really made our day. Both were native to Thailand and had the famous ever pleasant attitude and smiles. Since they have lived in. Chicago for years, no language barriers exist. But it was fun using my limited Thai to speak with them both. We plan to go back often, for the great food, great prices, and great service/smiles."
