"Ahh! This used to be Urban Grocer's, remember that? This is the sixth location in the state and fourth one in the city. The staff and service are wonderful."
"This place is definitely a must go for brunch when it comes to their food! It was DELICIOUS! I walked in and was greeted by Kevin - he was super friendly and I appreciated his guidance with the questions I had on the menu. See pictures for the drinks we ordered. I'd say I felt okay but for $20 I'd want more of a stronger kick cause that's definitely on the $$$ side of things. It was a tasty drink though - just add some more liquor haha! The crab was soooo soft and flavorful. I did order the lump cake and not the balls so idk if that was how they always come or what? The potatoes were soft and seasoned to perfection but they were a little greasy. The eggs were good, glad I added the cheese. The place itself gets 5 stars because they have free parking! You don't get that too often during a brunch in Chicago. The restaurant is pretty and I was surprised it wasn't full. It was my table (2 people) + 2 more tables (a group of 3 and a table for 1). I hope more people get to experience this yummy place"

"Wow! This place is outstanding. The food was delicious! I ordered the Teriyaki Steak, fried rice, and vegetables. It was so good. The steak was tender with nice flavor. The fried rice, delicious, it was moist with great flavors. The vegetables were very good as well. It was an absolutely delicious dish. I highly recommend this place. The man who was at the front taking my order was very nice, and explained how to order, he was vert pleasant. Great experience."
"Ok - first time here and did a take out order. I think it was decent but by no means the best Korean I've ever had. Given that there's not many Korean options in this immediate area, this will do for now, but I wouldn't come out of my way for this place. I was expecting a little more more flavor out of the bulgogi plate with rice. Overall a solid 7/10 I'd say."
"Bloom is definitely one of the most unique plant based experiences I've had in a LONG time. I can appreciate a kitchen that puts more energy into creating quality creative dishes vs offering a large menu. We loved everything that we ordered, and they even brought churro waffles to the table for my birthday! I'm not a huge sweets fan, so I didn't indulge much, but they were really tasty. The Turnip Causa was TO DIE FOR. And to think, I almost didn't order it! Plus, in the month of April, $1 from every order of the turnip causa goes to planting a tree. The balsamic glaze on the avo toast was very flavorful, but not too acidic. Definitely highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet brunch spot with a full bar. Plus, they grow some of their ingredients themselves. Talk about fresh."
"Here is an Indian restaurant with a selection of all vegan items to choose from. If that's something anyone is looking for they can't do wrong coming here. Arya Bhavan is about as good as it can get. Big menu full of classics with plant based takes and you would hardly even know. The prices aren't bad as far as Indian food, plus they give big portions. Came here recently and we didn't know how good it would be. It certainly was better than expected. The place is pretty nice looking but it's still casual, and the owners and staff were very helpful in finding things for individual tastes. It's about $12 or so for an entree. That's about average for Indian food around here. It helps that the portions are big. We got a couple of the classic favorites and were pleased. I got the Organic Tofu Tikka Masala. This used sautéed smoked vegan cheese, and it definitely was a convincing substitute. For sure we need to come here again. It has tons more interesting things to get. The menu is conveniently all vegan so there's no need to ask about ingredients as far as what's acceptable, plus there's a lot that's gluten free as well."
"Definitely go here. This is my favorite coffee spot i've been to in Chicago. The inside is super cute and cozy, and the place is just a breath of fresh air. Service was quick and everyone was very kind. I had the horchata latte and it was my favorite coffee I've had. The food was all interesting and different options. I had the date truffle and it was incredible. I'll def. go back!!"
"Could NOT have asked for a better lunch! WOW oh wow! Sure the photos I am sharing with this review look like dog vomit, but don't you dare judge a book by its cover because this food was PHENOMENAL! Clean, healthy and FLAVORFUL!!! It was just perfect and I am honestly SAD I don't have a location near where I live in Georgia! What I love aside from the taste (I'll dream about this place, I swear) is... That they are truly invested in using HEALTHFUL ingredients... No seed oils in sight! Thank you FARE FOOD for feeding me so well!"

What a great addition to the south loop neighborhood. The place is clean and very open. They are like chipotle concept but better. The meat is marinated well and decent portions. Sauce options are also better. They are also very friendly which is a big plus.

530 reservations for 3 seated right away left at 830pm not a great thing for me even though I wasn't in a rush and I'm a person of convenience. Total stars 3.5 review on customer service. Glad the food was fresh but what a wait. Customer service was good. Ambiance cool. Smaller restaurant but the food did not disappoint. Restaurant week also.... I was disappointed that my appetizer came to the table 1 hour after ordering. Appetizer Ordered (not restaurant week): Collard green oysters tasty... nice size and cheesy...second set was a bit more spicy loved the kick! Pick 1st...sweet n sour cauliflower had a nice kick and was yummyMy bestie ordered... gumbo (banging) fire! I actually ordered an order to go but the waiter failed to oblige me... I would order again.... the roux perfect heat and balance. My other bestie ordered jalapeno cornbread and crawfish... nice heat with the crawfish a pinch too sweet for me otherwise kinda yummySecond course (main dish)I ordered snapper as did my bestie... we both expected a fried piece of snapper bigger than what we got but a nice portion honestly. The fish was cooked nicely seemed slightly battered and not too flavorful. The red beans and rice was cooked well and tasty the gravy on the plate was alright as well complimentary.. but I would have preferred a fried snapper with fresh garlic and onions and everything else.My other friend ordered the oxtails risotto... I tried them extremely tender perfectly braised and the reduction sauce perfect. The risotto cooked perfectly. I would definitely order. (Fyi they are already de-boned) The desserts... the banana foster ... disappoints it was like banana foster ice cream scoop with whipped cream. Totally disappointed as I wanted traditional banana foster... double miss! The wild card desert which was a chocolate fudge mouse almost genache like cake was extremely rich needed wine to compliment. The beignets were chewy its was peachy and slightly above ok!!! Not peach cobbler at all....as described.Drinks were mediocre... better off getting a shot or doing what we did and going to a bar afterward. Definitely has potential and excellent food. An awareness and attentiveness of the patrons by our server could improve some as we waited a very long time for some things that I could or would have passed on. I would definitely want to try it again but I'm already fearful of the wait. I would place an order ahead of time because the food is worth it!!!! Clean bathrooms fyi. Parking is in a mini mall so lots of parking.

This place is awesome! Super delicious! I love the concept! Choose your protein, base of rice, noodles, or veggies, and add veggies or broccoli, or no extras! The spicy teriyaki chicken was delicious!! Highly recommend!

We regularly get together with my mother-in-law on Sundays in the Uptown area and figured to branch out and see what else there was other than our usuals. Funny enough, Kimchi Pop! has already been open for two years and we've already gone to some other restaurants nearby. Maybe I wrote it off since we have a Korean standby though farther away.So we figured to give it a try for convenience. It's a counter order arrangement and you bus your own tables, but there is a self-serve choice of four banchan provided for dine-in and a hot/cold water station. Dine in is on real plates and utensils rather than disposable-ware. We went with the kimbap ($13.99, spam +$3), stone bowl bibimbap (pork) - $15.99, soondubu (seafood) $14.50, and scallion pancake (seafood) - $12.99. Food is great and it was good to have the kimbap once with spam (thinking about another form of spam musubi, which is also on the menu). Stone bowl isn't going to be as hot to crisp rice, but I'm not sure that's a full star ding - so just go with regular bibimbap for $13.99. It still would have been good with another choice of filling without the surcharge. Keep in mind there is a 4% non-cash surcharge and meter parking is relatively available (at least on a Saturday night). Portions and quality were good to balance to the price and convenience. You'd get more banchan elsewhere and maybe lower prices, but you'd probably have to drive farther and tip up for service. Nice touch with dark chocolate choco pie at the end of the meal!

First time visiting a restaurant that was 100% plant based and it did not disappoint. The food and drinks were really good, and I enjoyed that the restaurant plated their dishes wonderfully. I ordered the Shawarma bowl which was really rich in flavor! My only complaint was an error made by the server at the end of our dining. the server was aware I had a tree nut allergy and was really careful to go over the brunch menu with me - especially since I ordered a dish that contained almonds (I can eat those). However, the kitchen gifted my brother a slice of sweet potato cheesecake for his birthday and the server brought spoons for all of us to share. Since I heard "sweet potato" and got a spoon, I had no reason to assume I would eat an allergen but I was WRONG lol. Luckily I only took a small bite, but the cheesecake is made with cashew which causes immediate tongue and throat swelling. I was fine and took benadryl to remedy the slight reaction, but I was a bit disappointed after such care the server took. I will be more careful to read the entire menu next time if I return.

Loved the healthier concept with delicious food and warm service by the owner. Their passion for good experience is evident in all the details. Highly recommend! The veg appetizer platter was the biggest hit!

This place is too cute! I only stopped in for a quick coffee and to chat with a friend, but from what I did experience I really enjoyed. It was bustling around 11am on a Friday with nearly all chairs and tables filled. There is a really wonderful menu -- and I wish I spent a little more time looking it over before visiting. Instead, I asked the barista for a recommendation and he happily obliged, suggesting the shakerato. It's espresso and simple syrup shaken with ice and served over milk. The espresso was strong but not overpowering or bitter. The milk and simple syrup added just the right amount of sweet and creaminess. A perfect iced caffeine kick for a summer day! I would love to explore more of the creative drink options on upcoming visits -- the cold brew + hazelnut truffle blended drink is calling my name.

"Getting here was kind of difficult to find depending on where you're coming from. We came from the upper level and could not figure out the location at all. Google kept telling us we arrived but we couldn't find it until you look on the wall of the downstairs plaza and you see this giant menu on the side of the building. Then you follow the directions to other restaurant and use the escalators to head downstairs. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful when we were there. The food was delicious as well. The jamaica drink tasted very much like hibiscus and not powdery. The tacos were a good size and very flavorful. I wish they had another dessert but they ran out. Overall, if you're in the area, even as a tourist, give it a try"
"Cool little bakery that specializes in plant based and raw foods. Ingrained is limited in both the space and hours. Mostly this is just a place to come in and take it out. Also has dining but it's pretty limited to get in. The flatbreads are good but the sweets are what people like most about it though. Bakeries are usually pretty tough for vegans to buy things at. It's hard to find things without eggs and milk. This place though has these types of things. All kinds. There's the little bite sized treats. If those aren't enough, you can get one of the pies. There was an Oreo and Reese's flavored one that was the shizz. Has more than just desserts of course. There's also the flatbreads that are good if you like pizza. Has a lot to choose from in this small bakery. It's usually only open from the late afternoon to evening. This is a good bakery if looking for something gluten free or for vegans."
"Came to this Hyde Park restaurant recently and enjoyed the casual atmosphere. It still manages to have some pretty classy sounding drinks and food. The Sit Down is exactly that, a restaurant you sit at a table and you order from there. Has quite a big menu and many different cuisines to choose from and it can be hard making a choice. You can get pizza, sushi, and tons of other stuff. A lot to choose from seriously, and it can be hard to choose. It took us awhile to look through the entire menu. There's a cocktail list in addition to the food, so you can also get your drink on while eating from the large variety of options. It's about $13 for most cocktails. The Basil Martini is an herbal version of the classic, with cucumbers, lime juice, and St. Germain. For the food it has a lot to choose from. We got some of the maki rolls. It's about $5 for the cheapest. The Avocado Maki and Kappa Maki are among the ones that are vegetarian. Each tasted fresh. These came out fast and we thought maybe they came out too fast but these were good quality. Get some drinks and food in a casual atmosphere at some of the best prices around. It's a lot cheaper than many other places around here. This has cocktails, pizza, and sushi among other things."
"Our experience at Shakou was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we made our reservation via the Resy Global dining app to the moment we left, every aspect of our evening was impeccable.Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with activity, but the staff managed everything seamlessly. The ambience was outstanding, with a unique and captivating atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Initially seated in a corner, we were delighted when the staff kindly offered us a booth, enhancing our comfort and enjoyment. Our culinary adventure at Shakou began with the Lamb Chops. Though the portion size was small, the taste was outstanding. Each bite offered a burst of flavors, perfectly cooked to perfection. It was a delightful start to our meal.We also indulged in the Bul Go Gi Egg Roll, which was a delectable combination of Korean BBQ flavors wrapped in a crispy shell. The explosion of savory goodness made this dish an absolute favorite. The Firecracker Shrimp and Sweet Chili Chicken Katsu were equally impressive, showcasing the chef's expertise in creating dishes that perfectly balance flavors and textures.Throughout our time at Shakou, the service was exceptional. The attentive and knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. From their recommendations to their warm and friendly demeanor, the service truly enhanced our overall experience. In summary, Shakou provided us with a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. The outstanding food, unique ambience, and attentive service created an unforgettable evening. Whether it was the Lamb Chops, Bul Go Gi Egg Roll, or other dishes we tried, each bite was a delightful journey of flavors. We highly recommend Shakou to anyone seeking a fantastic culinary adventure.Note: This review is based on a personal dining experience and reflects our honest opinions."
"This is one of the best spots in PR for dinner. The food is delicious. They have great entree options, a huge sushi menu and the service is fantastic. There is great music in the background that creates a fun vibe for a night out. There is bar seating and the bar staff make good cocktails."
"When you appreciate quality food that doesn't skimp on flavor and gives you Lyfe. This is the place to dine. My eggs had the perfect scramble. The breakfast potatoes were amazing, topped with onions and a secret sauce. Bacon, crispy and delicious. I was able to top my multi grain toast with grass fed butter and mixed berry preserves. I washed it all down with a chia lemonade that also included strawberries and mint. Ambiance and service were amazing. Of course, I'll be back."
"This food is great! Second time ordering from this place, and it didn't disappoint. The regular size bowl is good enough for at least 2 meals depending on how much you put in it. My favorite is the beef with purple rice and tons of veggies on top and a drizzle of their spicy red sauce."
"Andy's has potential - their menu has some unique options that other places don't. Their pad ped catfish curry was not what I would call crispy, but it was tasty, had so much catfish I couldn't finish it, and had plenty of delicious little edible Thai peppercorns to make the flavor more interesting! I would have liked to see more spices in the curry - it was pretty coconut-milk forward - and (I can't believe I'm saying this, I never finish my rice anywhere) more rice. There is a lot of curry and not enough rice to soak it up. Finally, it's listed as spicy and I guess by Midwestern standards it is... but not spicy like I'd expect from a Thai place."
"Food was good. Nothing outstanding. The margaritas are in a super small martini glass. I think I finished mine in 2 sips... barely 2 gulps. Great outdoor seating space."
"Feels more like a bar with some food than a restaurant but this doesn't make it bad. It has lots of good drink and food specials to choose from. North Branch is a loud hangout in Glenview known for pizza. Also there's barbecue such as ribs and other kinds of meats. There's a few healthier options if you want any of those. Best thing about it is the specials they have on drinks and food. It has some kind of special every day pretty much. The Saturday one was $7 mojitos, so we got a few of these. Good flavor. The food is hit or miss. It's about $9 for the Village Hummus. This came with olive relish, toasted pitas, and vegetables. Good portion for the price to be honest. The pizza is probably the most popular. Has lots to choose from as far as drinks, and there's better than expected food. It has a lot of good sharing food including pizzas, wings, and that kind of stuff. There's all kinds of cheaper specials going on, so pick the best time by looking up the menu on the website."
"Believe the hype!! Was looking for a vegan restaurant in downtown Chicago and thankfully Yelpers lead me here! Located in the Revival Food Hall, the Art of Dosa was noticeably one of the most popular eateries.Authentic Indian favorites wrapped into a crispy, crepe-like batter, was everything I didn't know I needed. I tried the Masala dosa and Ramen dosa with soup and a side of Biryani. EVERYTHING was delish! My favorite was the Masala dosa. Between the potato curry, fresh cabbage and coconut chutney, the robust flavors left my tastebuds satisfied. The soup was a nice compliment to the meal, the portion size was enough to feed two and the price was reasonable. The Revival Food Hall offers a variety of seating to choose from. The decor is trendy and vibrant and the music sets the tone for any occasion. The overall experience was a vibe. Trust you won't be disappointed."
"10/10 fast casual experience. Service is always fast and friendly. The flavor combinations offered are delicious (my personal fav is ordering a bowl with both CJ's BBQ sauce & Creamy Cashew sauce). Large portions. SO MANY vegetarian options. They are eco friendly; offering either compostable or reusable containers. To top it off, Brightwok also supports various nonprofits around the community & even recognizes high performing Chicagoland students via gifting complimentary bowls for A's on exams. If you live/work nearby.. this should be your daily lunch spot. I am always happy to support this local business."
"The bowl was delicious! The fritter made it especially good. What impressed me the most was the amazing customer service we received. I love this place but I forget about it. I won't forget after this experience. So many more bowls I want to try out!!"
