"Can we taco bout how much I can't wait to come back here LOLLate night taco spot with solid service and solid eats! Staff was all very friendly and everything is made fresh! I love that we can sit right by the grill and watch all the magic happen! Sure the awkward eye contact with the cooks can be strange but it's also oh so fun!Stopped by after a late night DJ set at a club and we were mildly hungry. I had the carne asada steak taco, Al pastor, and the lengua. They did NOT skimp on the meat and flavor. My friend got a tostada with nopales and steak and it was MASSIVE!My other friend got the carne en su jugo soup and it was what dreams are made of! Fried onions and fried bacon thats then grilled with steak then put into a big o bowl with broth and avocado!!! Rich and heavenly...absolute comfort in a bowl! Definitely can't wait to go back!"
"Pretty sure I probably saw a friend eat here and bookmarked them. I ran in while on this side of town. I browsed the menu and decided on my usual 2 steak tacos lettuce/tomato/onion/cilantro. I got my food to go and ate 1 taco in the car. The food was very fresh/ hot, but the tacos were missing something. They were bland to me. I only ate 1 of the 2 and gave the other 1 away. I will say they stuff the tacos, but they weren't that grand to me. I wouldn't go back."

"Yum! I came here after a work event with some colleagues and we were seated right away despite not having a reservation, which is always a pleasant surprise! The patio is large and super spacious, so it made a great option for a place to come with a big group. The drinks are everything of a margarita lovers dream. There are SO many margarita options, and even some traditional Mexican beverage options too like sangria, horchata, jalisco old fashion. I went with the jalapeño margarita and I loved it, but buckle up; she's spicy! It comes with half a jalapeño atop it, if you want to make it even spicer. We shared some chips, salsa and guac to start and loved all three. The guac was so fresh! I ordered the carne asada and pollo adobado tacos. Both were flavorful, but the carne asada was my favorite! The tacos are decently sized, but I would probably get one more. Overall great time here and I would absolutely come back to hang on the patio and try some more drinks!"
"I have been coming here for a little Over 2 years... great service, food and prices. This place is your typical go to Mexican spot. With actual authentic tortillas and meats, like carne en su jugo or arrachera. Love their home made salsa that is complementary with chips. It's more of a chipotle salsa versus green or red for example. Great horchata as well. The tampiqueña platter is the best for a taste of meat, enchilada, rice/beans! Cocktail shrimp is very yummy, green enchiladas SUPER spicy but I love it, and tacos are all worth a try!"
"Nice quick lunch before the cubs game! A group of 7 of us came by for a quick lunch! This place was great! My wife and I shared the 3 tacos dinner with 2 chicken and 1 Al pastor with rice and beans! If you dine in you also get free chips and salad! The chips were just ok nothing impressive! The salsa was pretty good! The mild is the best! The rice and beans were excellent! The tacos were all authentic, fresh and delicious! We definitely recommend this joint for a quick lunch before any cubs game!"
"Small in size but big and bold in flavor. Cannot rave more about chef Rick Bayless' casual yet elevated Mexican food. More pleased since his now-closed Red O in Los Angeles disappointed food wise, though the ambiance was beautiful. Ever had a Mexican-style pizza? It's called a tlayuda. Order to share!I chose the Asparagus & Ham Tlayuda. Fantastic! From the grilled asparagus, plentiful avocado chunks, roasted serrano crema and black bean spread, on a corn masa tostada. The ham was salty for me though. And it was huge! Like a large pizza. I shared some with my friend and we only ate 1/3.Papas Rancheras (smashed potatoes) - Watch out that first piece was really spicy! Such a culinary delight, from the contrast of the crispy outside and the soft fluffy inside, to the bomb cilantro crema, that I could drink.Baja Chicken Torta - packed with flavor with homemade fresco cheeseIt was hard deciding what to order. Tacos, salads, hearty soups, margaritas and beers also on the menu. Service was great, knowledgeable and efficient. My friend wanted to come back again during our trip. My tastebuds were all for it but I desired more eating adventures. Highly recommend. If I lived in Chicago, I'd be a regular! PLEASE me know what it would take to open a location in Los Angeles! Gracias!"
"This is Rounded up from 3.5 stars. First of all, Hats off to the brand recognition for El Milagro tortillas. Milagro mean Miracle in Spanish and these tortillas are in every store throughout Chicagoland. They've got a few restaurants here in Chicagoland and they're in GA and elsewhere. That's great, how they've been able to spread their presence out. Went to the original spot I believe, in Little Village, which is the closest thing to being in Mexico in the Midwest. Right on 26th St. and they have a convenient parking lot. Try to come early (like 11:00 a.m.), as many reviewers have pointed out. Otherwise the line really backs up. What I really like is that they have an on-site Security guard who also guides you to your table - which is in a plexiglass enclosure, complete with a sliding door. That's really cool and I like that separation without feeling claustrophobic. As for the food, the steak platter was a clear winner, it came with plenty of steak and it comes well done. As for the tacos, it's kinda new to me - on top of two tortillas, they put onions and refried beans along with your protein. So you definitely need a knife and fork. There's no way you can pick that up with your hands. My chicken mole taco was not breast meat but rather, a thigh with bones. And the lengua came in a red sauce instead of being dry, which is what I'm accustomed to. The stuffed poblano came with red sauce and it got a little soggy but it was good. The food was plentiful and you won't go away hungry."
"Cash only establishment but so worth it, the tacos were fresh and delicious, the service was quick and nice and we were able to sit down and eat in a good ambiance. The only thing I didn't like was that they charged $2+ for a tiny bit of crema and tbh I think they only did that to us bc we were tourists. Either way, the food was delicious so def recommend!"
"Got some good Mexican drinks and food one evening here. It's pretty fast and has a chill atmosphere with a sports bar feel to it. Mi Nueva Tierra is a great place for getting some good cocktails and tacos. Also has plenty of TVs for watching games. The prices are pretty good and the food was fresh and not canned type of stuff. After looking up a few places around Ashland and Fullerton, we came here. It doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside isn't that big either, but there's enough room for a small gathering or so. Got seats at the bar. We ordered some drinks first, of course margaritas. It's about $8 for the MNT Margarita, the Classic Lime. The food may hav been even better though. Cheap. We got the Veggie Tacos. It's $4 each. These come with cilantro, lettuce, and roasted vegetables. Small but mighty. There's also other classics like burritos and tortas among others. Check it out if you like the idea of Mexican food in a sports bar. It's basically what this place is like. There's good drinks and food at good prices for most things."
"The re-brand this place needed! What a fun atmosphere and restaurant. It's perfect for a happy hour with coworkers or friends, or affordable drinks and food with whoever you're with. Their pulled chicken nachos and carne asada fries were to die for. I loved all their drinks - I recommend the Mexican mule, frozen margs, or margs on the rocks. I especially liked their mango and strawberry margaritas. The bathrooms are downstairs so you have to go down 1-2 flights of stairs to access their 2-stall bathroom. Our servers were soooo awesome and personable. I'd totally come here again if I'm looking for a happy hour in the loop!"
"Amazing food- both for vegans and meat eaters. The service is quick and it is open 24 hours!"
"I am soooooo tired of cooking. I wanted Mexican food and I wanted to support a local spot I have never gone to. I decided on this 1 per my Yelp brothers & sisters positive reviews. I ordered via telephone, a nice lady answered phone, took my order & told me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. Cool. Got ready, picked up food and was in and out of spot. I ordered 3 steak tacos, an order of rice & a horchata. The steak was seasoned well. The rice was flavorful. The horchata was delicious. My partner ordered the ground beef tacos & he agreed, they were delish. I'm so glad I supported a new spot. I will definitely be back. Gracias TV!!!"

You want good tacos you go to Pilsen! I've been to a half dozen places here but I really like Coyotes! The carne asada and pollo is perfectly cooked! Standard cilantro and onion perfection. Great service and full belly. They also have the Senorial Sangria I like that not everybody has. Reminds me of eating tacos as a kid at my old friend's family restaurant. I lived in LA 11 years and you can't get much better than that unless you're headed to Mexico. Glad we have Pilsen in Chicago to enjoy some carne asada tacos for days! Gracias

It's ok, I guess. This afternoon I decided to take a walk during my lunch break and they had a food truck outside my building so I grabbed lunch on the way back in.The person who took my order was fine--quick, not rude. I ordered a burrito suizo and it was not my thing. And I'm sometimes so loves cheese! It's not their fault that it's not my favorite dish, but the chicken in it was kind of bland too.I will say this for them though--they fulfilled my order quickly, portions are humongous. Way more than I could eat, and I'm a girl who sometimes has an appetite. It didn't help that when he asked if I wanted it with "everything", that apparently meant a meal (so included beans and rice) and not everything as in everything on the burrito, as opposed to leaving out salsa or something. Little misleading, but oh well.

Man I love Del Toro. It's a favorite place for a friend and I to meet up; it always is at the top of our list when we get together. Margaritas are amazing for real. I've gotten the light up one more than once and I have to remind you that if you have long hair, be careful! The place will start to fill up immediately upon opening, so you'll want to get there early or be prepared to wait a while. Last time I was there (which was admittedly pre-pandemic) they had a 90-minute table limit on Fridays and Saturdays (at least), so be aware of that as well. With your margarita you'll want to get some delicious food; this is the first place I ever had a sope and now it's one of my favorites. Service is usually great as well, not overbearing or annoying but fast-paced and ready to refill for you when you're empty. Can't go wrong with a stop at Del Toro.

Wanted some breakfast this morning, so we stopped at this place because it was the closest to where we were and had menudo. Menudo was good, with a side of jalapeños was able to make it spicier. They have some egg plates as well, if tripe is not your thing. Prices were reasonable and service on top of things. It was not too busy, and there is a small lot to park in the back.

Right by Wrigley; stopped in for a quick bite before the game. Service was prompt and fast. Ordered the steak burrito and it was ok....hits lacked a good seasoning flavor. Not much cheese or beans in the burrito. My order did come with complimentary chips and (3) types of salsas. Those were all real good. Place is clean....and a nice little cute place.

I've found myself leaning away from mexican food lately, so when a coworker suggested this spot, I was on the fence. But I'm SO glad that I went along. We started out with Chicken & Mole Poblano Tlayuda to be shared with the table. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest mole fan and while delicious, having something sweet mixed in with what my tastebuds expect to be savory is always a challenge for me.For me, the Milanesa 1/2 Torta with a bowl of the famous Chicken Tortilla Soup was the highlight. It was the perfect amount for lunch and incredible flavors mixed all together. We all shared churros for dessert and, while I would like to go back for the churro sundae, overall it was a perfect way to cap off a work week in the windy city!

El Milagro, translates in English as, the miracle. Upon entry, everything was right; it smelled right, we were welcomed right and the verde chicken tamales were absolutely done right. It was definitely, a little miracle. The folks working here are some of the warmest, most polite and hospitable people I've ever encountered. I felt like family, truly. There was ranchera playing and plenty of seating. The line was long but moved swiftly. We ordered steak tacos and tamales. Everything was so flavorful and authentic. The tacos smelled like home because we only use El Milagro tortillas for tacos back home. This is one very special place -- I walked away feeling like I had been nurtured. I plan to purposely look for ways to get back here rápidamente or as we say, quickly :)

Been eating here for years. They have 3 locations on the southside and are cash only. This location stays open late on weekends. The tacos, tortas, and milkshakes are delicious. I recommend the tacos atotonilco.

"Finally opened! I've been waiting for this new taco place to open across from the West Ridge Nature Preserve and it smells great when you pass by. The staff when I went were really nice and patient while I decided what I wanted to try. I got my tacos to go and they were still warm when I got home. They gave me 2 types of sauces, a red and a green. Usually I love the green sauce but the red was spice and tasty. I'll have to try the food while eating there so it's freshly out of the kitchen. The steak taco was pretty good. They do have taco Tuesday specials!"
"A fresh look (remodeling) and new managers, Las Islas Bar & Grill has never been better. I have worked in this area for about 10 years. So I was going to this place at least since 2015 or 16. Now we live in Berwyn since 2017 and this is always been our go to place. The service is fast. Everyone has been super nice and they even stayed open during the pandemic with outdoor seating (I actually really miss the outdoor vibes.) Whenever we're in the mood for something delicious and fast, we always end up coming here. It's a plus they have beer because some places don't have alcoholic beverages. While I'm not a big cocktail drinker, they have cocktails too and delicious micheladas. Such a good, solid place and always good quality and good service every time we've been there over the last five or six years at least !! I'm embarrassed we've enjoyed it so much and never done a review!"
"We were in the mood for tacos and wanted to try something new. Since we were headed to Menards, we were hoping to find something in the relative vicinity and La Encantada popped in my search. I didn't really do any research, we just went of the high marks the place received.First impression: Holy shit, it's hot AF in here! I'm not sure if their AC was out of order or they simply didn't have any, but on a 90 degree day, it was warm to say the least. I'm guessing that explains why there were only two other couples dining.Second impression: This is not the taqueria I assumed it was, I probably shouldn't be here in gym clothes. Although, on the upside they really wicked all of the perspiration I was feeling off my body. Win.Once we glanced at the menu, we quickly deduced that this place isn't really the place for tacos. They have them, but they also have a lot of other interesting dishes and sides. I opted for the spinach enchiladas verdes and swapped my rice and beans for chipotle mashed sweet potatoes. Manfriend ordered the steak burrito suizo with the rice and beans. My dish was quite tasty with a nice zip in the verde sauce. Personally, I might mix the spinach with something, like cheese, but it is a dish I'd order again. The sweet potatoes weren't a smoky as I had expected from the chipotle. Manfriend's burritos were small, but he said everything was good. Service was a little hands off, but overall we never waited long for anything.Bottom line: I would come back. Next time dressed more appropriately and order a few cocktails. I just might wait until fall when it's not as steamy inside."
"Very few restaurants in Chicago make Quesabirria Tacos right.I know of only 3 authentic ones in the city of Chicago.A quesabirria is a cheesy version of a birria taco. You can buy really good ones in Pilsen, Belmont Cragin, or all the way up north here on Kedzie. The other 2 are closed on Mondays. Make sure that you bookmark this place! Traditionally, birria tacos are made with stewed goat meat but Birrieria Y Taqueria Napoles offers them with either beef or goat meat. The meat is marinated in a flavorful adobo sauce, then cooked in a broth until it's fall-apart tender. They then dip a corn tortilla in the broth, cook it on the grill, and top it with meat and cheese until the cheese melts. They will give you cups of broth to dip your tacos in. Squeeze a bit of lime and garnish it with some fresh cilantro. It is so freaking good you will cry. Birrieria Y Taqueria Napoles also surprised me with complimentary horchata and tamarind beverages. Be sure that you save any leftover broth. Use it for cooking ramen noodles. It is to die for!"
"Tiztal Cafe is the only place I can go for Chilaquiles. I have been coming to Tiztal Cafe for the last 6 going on 7 years and they have remained consistent. I am so happy in this day and age with things becoming more expensive and it becoming easier to cut but on food quality to save money it does not seem as though Tiztal Cafe is taking that route.I love that I still see some of the staff that I saw when I first visited back in 2016. Tiztal Cafe gives you the feeling of a family restaurant even though they get really busy. The staff is always wonderful! No matter how busy the restaurant gets the wait staff is always smiling and patient with everyone. I truly cannot order an entree outside of the Chilaquiles because they make the best on the Northside. I have tried other Chilaquiles around the Northside and always find myself comparing them go Tiztal Cafe that I no longer try. I am happy that Tiztal Cafe still gives you large portions of food. I easily get three meals out of my breakfast. The trick to keep the chips from getting soggy is asking for the salsa on the side. I remember once when they accidentally put salsa on top, the waitress gave me extra chips to take home without me asking. That moment solidified why I keep coming back and telling anyone that will listen about Tiztal Cafe. The amount of food you receive is worth the price. They align with what you would typically see on the Northside. I highly recommend coming to Tiztal Cafe. If you aren't big on crowds, come on a weekday or really early in the morning on the weekend. The line moves fast if there is a crowd. Bonus: they have an outside patio!"
"I have been coming to Lalo's for at least 10 years. Yikes, am I old? Anyway, Lalo's became a staple for a friend and I to catch up over margaritas (particularly the frozen mango variety). Back in our youth, we could split a pitcher but we're a a lot less ambitious these days. While the menu has changed over the years, I have enjoyed my meals (usually fajitas or the occasional taco) and have consistently had good service. As long as the margaritas are strong, I'll be back. Also, parking at the nearby lot is some of the cheapest you'll find in the city - a rare find!"
"Please don't let the fact that you can find Urban Counter in a gas station deter you from experiencing the food here.Probably one of the most friendly and excited people greeted us, and when he found out we were visiting from Atlanta, he hooked us up with some good eats.Located inside of the Pride gas station off of S. Wabash street, man this is definitely a nice little hidden gem! Here's what we got!Italian beef ($6.49)Blue cheese Burger ($6.99)Classic Chicago dog ($2.99)Hand cut fries ($2.19)Sodas x 2 (on the house)So here's the good:The classic Chicago dog was great! We devoured this thing with it's soft poppy seed bun, and all the traditional fixings (sweet relish, onion, tomato, pickle spear, sport peppers and mustard). Best thing we tried here. The Blue cheese burger, complete with nice chunks of blue cheese was a good burger. Not a good "from the gas station" burger...but a good burger! 8 oz of a steak burger on a brioche bun made these bites kinda awesome. One of the things we both agreed on was while the Italian beef sandwich had very tender strips of beef on soft bread, man was it salty. We couldn't tell if it was from the cheese or the sauce, but sadly this missed the mark for us.French fries really were just french fries for us, not much in terms of being special.Interior seating is available at Urban Counter, so you don't have to get your food and go. Restrooms are shared with the gas station but they are clean. Again, customer service was outstanding and I loved their energy.Happy staff, quality food and reasonable prices hidden in plain sight. If you live here or are just passing through, at least stop in and say hi. Had a great time here!"
"A hole in the wall type of place. Don't come here if you are expecting fancy!I ordered 2 tostadas, a chicken and a pork. I preferred the chicken. I also enjoy they have bottled coke in the glass bottle!"
"We came in here today around 3 PM, it wasn't really all that busy. The waitress was nice. She told us about the margarita special of the day. It was a gold pineapple drink, that ended up being ridiculously priced. We were shocked when we saw it was $13.75 for basically a margarita that tasted like juice with very little liquor. We did not know it was going to be that much. It was 100% not worth it. I ordered the burrito supreme which comes with rice and beans for $13.99 but it was two dollars more for steak. I actually really enjoyed the burrito, I thought it was seasoned well and was actually pretty delicious. My fiancé ordered the burrito suizo with chicken. His also came with rice and beans and was around $13. He actually really liked his food, it was real chicken and not canned. He said he would definitely get it again."
"Adorable place for some Sunday seafood! We hopped in Tyler's car and headed to the south side for some mariscos- and boy I found some delightful mariscos!!I always love traveling to smaller places that open early, have a few tables, and fill up quickly! The staff is Amazingly friendly- my Spanish is okay buy Tyler's is better-- so everything was conversed in Spanish and i answered in English and got just what I ordered:We started off with a lovely complimentary little 'hangover' cure of a cup with a shrimp in a spicy garlic broth. We didn't have a hangover but I couldn't resist this traditional treasure so I ate both of ours :)We shared a Tostada De Pulpo Y Camaron (octopus and shrimp) and it was refreshing and crisp. Lovely seafood atop a tostada...yum!! I ordered Camarones a la Diabla for my main meal: spicy and Spicy shrimp....so good, so cleansing, so fantastic! The Side salad of rich crab meat and fluffy rice were a great contrast! Delicious!!Tyler ordered Al Mojo De Ajo in garlic sauce - a fish with a garlic rub and it was beautiful to see and crispy and delicate to try! I did get a bone or two, but that's part of the experience:)A great Gem to dine at.....plus there are FULL portions of crispy tostadas and crackers as 'bread'!'On the way back, a guy was selling roses on the highway/ and Tyler bought a pak for me....I don't enjoy roses, but this was lovely!!"
"LC is just one of those go-to places for tacos for me. I really enjoy their steak and especially their Al Pastor tacos. Their Al Pastor doesn't come with chopped bits of pineapple and it's still delicious without. My only gripe is how tiny their tacos are. Probably 3 bites and you're done. But, they use quality and fresh tortillas which makes every bite feel like a fluffy pillow in between your teeth. The flavors are on 10 and I just keep coming back for more overpriced tiny tacos. Still-Very delicious!P.S...I still hate their parking lot."
"From the outside and inside, this place is very cute, colorful, and well-decorated. It can be a little crowded, but there was no wait for our ~1pm Sunday lunch. The atmosphere inside is pretty loud and lively. We started with an order of Guacamole Picoso, which was okay. The chips were very crispy, but a bit too oily-- to the point that it was interfering with the chip flavor. The guac was pretty good. I then got the Fajitas with sunny side up eggs. Especially for the price, the portions are pretty small. I also expected the fajitas to come with tortillas, but it unfortunately didn't so it was just chorizo, eggs, and veggies. I did enjoy the fajitas a lot though-- the veggies and chorizo were perfectly grilled and well-seasoned, the eggs were well-cooked, and the burnt chards at the bottom of the skillet were delicious to eat.My friend also got the fajita skillet with chicken and similarly enjoyed it. Another friend got some vegan tacos, which he thought were decent. They do have a solid and distinct vegan menu section, though it's pretty pricey-- most of the items were more expensive than the non-vegan items. My main qualm was that while the staff were friendly, the service was quite slow-- we waited for over an hour for our food to arrive. Otherwise, this is a solid spot overall-- especially if you're coming with a large group to both eat and drink, it would definitely be a fun time!--Price (relative to peers): 3.5/5Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 3.5/5Overall Value: 3.5/5"
"If you like Mexican food, check out Salsa Street. It has great Mexican food, great service, and overall great dining experience. While you wait for your food, the table got some warm chips and salsa. Warm chips. It's a nice touch. The guacamole ok taste, wish there was more seasoning, but the texture and overall dish was still good. I ordered the chicken fajitas. It came with ample amount of chicken, veggies, and tortillas. Our server was nice and our food came out pretty quickly. Overall, a good dining experience"
"Great spot just 5 minutes away from the south loop. An ole school breakfast spot that also has Mexican food served all hours. I am a corned beef hash and eggs guy and I love this spot! Always fresh and hot and great service! Will update when I try the other items on the menu"
"Came here on Cinco de Mayo and they were slammed. Surprisingly we didn't wait long for a table. I would come back again for Elotes and Margarita. I got the Pink Cadillac Margaritas and was very pleased with the taste and strenght of the liquor. For food I got tacos dinner with beans & rice. Overall a nice dinner on the patio. Very much enjoyed the live entertainment and singing as a cherry of top of the evening."
"While driving down W Cermak Rd towards Western Ave I spotted Raymond's Tacos off to my right hand side. I am one that loves to bookmark any restaurant I come across when I get the chance, so I pulled in the nearest parking lot to bookmark it as well as take a look at their menu. Craving taco asada at the time, I have to say that it was a picture of the al pastor taco shared by Yelper - Diana J that really built that interest to visit the day of my discovery. If not for the plain, yet eye-catching orange banner with Raymond's Tacos listed on it, I would have driven right passed this restaurant. Options for parking are street parking w/ meter or within the neighborhood. With neighborhood parking I recommend being cautious of where you park because some portions of the street require a permit to park. Parking outside of the restaurant there is metered parking available for like one vehicle depending on its size. The rest of the space is part of the bus stop (Cermak & Washtenaw), a tow zone for vehicles other than a bus. I almost went for a spot within the neighborhood because parking along W Cermak Rd within a short radius of the restaurant is frustrating. But I remembered a time I got a ticket for parking on a street requiring a permit which gave me the courage to go for a spot along W Cermak Rd. Though Pan American Bank, the bank next door has a spacious yet empty parking lot, I would not recommend parking in it because there just may be someone waiting to make that call for your vehicle to be towed. For covid 19 precautions, wearing a mask is required to enter. Dine-in is prohibited, but there is the option for ordering takeout like the majority of the restaurants throughout the city. With dine-in being prohibited, there were no seats or tables in their dining area. And furthermore, there is a plastic shield that prevents employee to customer contact. As for my order I ordered a taco asada and a al pastor taco w/ a squirt which I already had in mind before I stepped foot in the door. My order was completed within a reasonable timeframe. Thank goodness because I kept checking on my vehicle because I parked alongside the bank on W Cermak Rd. Nowhere near a meter, I kept thinking that I would get a ticket or maybe a boot on my tire because I did not purchase a parking ticket for my brief visit. Those damn tacos smelled so good! I just wanted to pull over or in a parking lot and just devour them both, but for the goodness of Yelp, I just had to get a quality picture of my order to share.Comparing the two tacos, I have to say that I loved the taco asada which had a more flavorsome taste to it in comparison to the al pastor taco, but both did not disappoint. All in all, a pleasant ordering experience with Raymond's Tacos. I most definitely would not hesitate on visiting again while in the Little Village area. I have also noted another location near my neighborhood that sits a little over a mile away.~Blessing~Thomas G"
"Enjoyed the steak tacos and a bag of chips. The steak is cut up small and I edited a few fatty pieces out of it but overall very good. Not peppery at all, just marinated adobada style (I think). The tortillas for the tacos are the real deal, very tasty. And the chips are slightly over-salted just the way I like. Would order again for sure!We got it to-go and the hot sauce in the small container is very hot (for me). The salsa in the larger container is the smooth blended style, pretty light tasting but a little acidic. It might have onions blended in too. And the guacamole has onions which I have to avoid. But I would definitely try other things on the menu."
"This is one of like 20 taco joints on 47th Street between Ashland & Damen.. aka *Taco Alley*!! Nondescript restaurant that looks to have been around for quite a long time. Large menu with everything from Carne Asada to Tacos! Got some steak tacos and they were very good & served on homemade tortillas.. a rarity these days. Service was very nice & efficient and the salsa was great! I can't wait to go back and try some other items off the menu.. Old School Hideaway for sure. Talk later"
"Food was great! We had the steak burrito and gaucomole. Both were delicious! Place is smallAnd homey. Love the service here!!!"
"After seeing it at Instagram, I decided to try this Oaxaca restaurant I walked in by 11 am was people there 2 tables. The server was mopping, smell like fabuloso....... "Los Magueyes in Burbank is an absolute culinary gem! Stepping into this vibrant establishment, the atmosphere exudes warmth and welcoming vibes, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance is a seamless blend of coziness and liveliness, making it the perfect venue for any occasion. Whether you're catching up with friends, indulging in a romantic dinner, or commemorating a special event, Los Magueyes provides an impeccable backdrop. The menu itself is a celebration of authentic Mexican flavors, each dish a testament to culinary excellence. Our recent order left us absolutely delighted! I opted for the Carne al Carbon, and it was a true carnivore's dream. Grilled to perfection, the meat was tender, juicy, and a burst of authentic Mexican flavors. The accompaniments of fries, rice, beans, and avocado took the dish to an entirely new level. The fries were impeccably crispy and golden, offering a delightful contrast to the succulent carne. The rice, flawlessly fluffy and perfectly seasoned, added a comforting touch to the entire meal. The beans, rich and savory, served as a classic Mexican staple that harmonized with the entire dish. The attention to detail in presentation and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients truly set Los Magueyes apart. From the first enticing bite to the very last, the experience was an authentic and mouthwatering journey. If you appreciate grilled goodness and crave the distinct flair of Mexican cuisine, the Carne al Carbon is an absolute must-try! Los Magueyes is undeniably a culinary gem, and we eagerly anticipate returning for another round of exquisite Mexican cuisine and unforgettable moments. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience with fantastic vibes and ambiance!"
"We came here to eat some tacos. When we first arrived, it looked the the place was closed. They should make the place look more inviting from the outside. Let people know to come on in. I almost drove away. The lady that took our order was very welcoming, took our order and advised us to pay after we were done eating. The prices seemed high at first, but they use big regular sized corn tortillas. Most taco shops will charge high and while using smaller tortillas. You at least get your moneys worth in meat here. I ordered their al pastor, carne Asada and lengua taco. The al pastor was ok. It tasted a little bland, but the carne Asada was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the lengua taco definitely hit the spot. The lengua was very tender. Overall I was very satisfied. I got full with the three tacos, and will definitely consider returning."
