"4.5/5 starsCame here on a Saturday around 6:30 pm. They do have a small parking lot, but we did street parking. The line looked short, but it moved slowly, so it took around 35-40 minutes to get our food. You order/receive the food at the counter, then you seat yourself. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. My bf and I got the 1 lb beef rib, 0.5 lb brisket, 0.5 lb pulled pork, 1 sausage, and 3 single sides (Mac and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw). This was wayyy more than enough for 2 people! We also got a slice of bread, which they didn't charge for. I have to say the beef rib and the mac and cheese blew my mind!!! These were my faves from the meal. The beef rib was incredibly tender, fatty, and juicy. The mac and cheese was perfectly smooth, gooey, and cheesy. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. We asked for moist brisket, so we got some very tender/fatty pieces. Some of the leaner brisket pieces were drier, but some were tender. The sausage was solid. Overall, I thought this place was worth the wait!"
"Classic Texas BBQ! Line as expected, but moved quickly. Bar had killer Ranch Waters and good beer selections. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Parking plan for street. As far as food, pork ribs very good, excellent fatty brisket, and yes the best Mac and Cheese ever!!! We did order Cole slaw as well but...meh.Will definitely be back!"

"3.5 stars for the food but I'll round it up to a 4 because the staff was very nice. This spot is located in a sketchy area so be aware of your surroundings. A couple months back we drove to this location & it was closed without any notice on the door so we decided to come back one more time & I have to say it was definitely worth the drive. When we got there the lines moved quickly but it took about 25 minutes to receive my food which took awhile. I decided to order their two meat combo that comes with two sides. I got the pork ribs, moist brisket, green beans, Mac & cheese & I wanted another side so I got their dirty rice. I'll start the pork ribs, it was tendered and had a decent bark. The brisket was good but needed more salt. Smoke rings was also visible. The Mac and cheese tasted standard and it didn't have the creaminess that I was looking for but doable. The green beans tasted canned but whoever seasoned it needs to not be so heavy handed with it. It was beyond salty to the point that I had consume water with each bite. The dirty rice was excellent, good texture and it was moist. Maybe a hair over salted but not overwhelming. My friend order the brisket sandwich and it was very good, bread was toasted nicely & the brisket was moist & tendered. Their BBQ sauce is a sleeper, it had a nice tang & sweetness to it. What I like about Ray's is that whatever you ordered you get your bang for your buck. 16.95 for two meats & two sides is a steal. On top of that, they gave me 3 pieces of ribs & 4 slices of brisket. Idk if that had to do with the waiting time, but they hooks it up. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff was nice & the food was satisfactory. Will I come back? Yep, next time I need to try their fried catfish & their dessert."
"Visited with a local relative that hadn't been here for some time. First time and I thought why haven't I been here yet?!We arrived on a Wednesday around 12:45 and we got lucky as there was a short line. Order, pay and find a table. They were providing Brisket samples which was a nice touch. I could have just stood there and ate the samples all day-wow!We ordered one meat and two meat combo plates. Both had Brisket and one with the Spicy Peppercorn sausage. Brisket was amazing! Perfect smoke and tender.I usually get Jalapeño Cheddar sausage but decided to go with the Peppercorn. Good decision-just right spicy/salty-delicious! Sides were Corn Pudding, Tater Tot Casserole, Brussel Sprouts, and Mac & Cheese. All delicious with the Corn and Sprouts standing out.Service was quick (kept the line moving) and friendly. On Bon Appetit's Top 8 Houston BBQ spots as well a few other lists. Definitely lives up to the hype!"
"this place is great if you're in the area. employees are super nice.get the cornbread2 meat / 3 meat plates are classics, their sides are all great as well"
"I had a great experience here. My brother brought me here because he said the food was really good. There was a good size parking lot across from the restaurant. We had no issue finding seating, we sat outside. They have a vast display of chocolates, I'll include some pictures. It has been a min since I was last here since I don't live in Texas, but I'll post pictures to give people an idea. Food wise, everything we ordered was very tasty. Meat was tender and moist. They had good flavor. Carrot soufflé was delicious. Chocolates may or may not be the same, but I recommend trying some out and bringing some home to your family. The ones I got were not too rich, I enjoyed all of the flavors I bought."
"Some of these 1-2 star reviews are laughable. 1. Anyone that keeps saying waist not waste is an automatic pass for me. Waist is part of your body. People shouldn't even bother with that review. 2. The staff is not racist or judgmental like someone said. Texas is pretty diverse so no need to play the victim card. When we parked, there was a group of people just waiting by the door, but no one by the hostess. I walked up to the hostess and said how many were in my party, and we were immediately seated. Service as a whole was splendid. Our server made sure we got everything we needed. Food came out fast. We ordered several items to try. Yes it is pricey but the food we ordered was far from being bland. -sticky pork belly bites 5/5 - I really like the cherry cola glaze. The pork belly was not too sweet after the glaze.-Sunday's deviled eggs 5/5 - brisket on top of deviled eggs. Yes please. -Roy's chicken fried steak 5/5 - not your typical chicken fried steak from Ihop. Great quality, easy to cut. Peppercorn cream gravy was perfectly seasoned. The dinner rolls are moist not dry. I didn't really need butter on them. Cream corn pudding with jalapeño is a must have side. Not really spicy just a small kick.-Tim's crispy buttermilk fried chicken 5/5 - didn't get any dried chicken in the middle, very moist and tasty."
"Went there for dinner with a large group, therefore we were seated in one of their private rooms. It's almost surprising that they don't have any coat hanger in the room. Decor was elegant and artistic. Service was fine. For food we ordered two platters of steak plus 8 oz of Japanese Wagyu (8oz is the minimum order), along with a number of appetizers. Steaks were yummy. Complementary side dishes were so so - all tiny pickle dishes. Steam egg was good. Spicy Naeng Myun was alright - noodles all stuck together - they should have provided more watery sauce. Japchae portion was not big. Raw crabs were yummy - very spicy. Salad coming with spicy sauce as dressing?? Very interesting... In general everything is on pricier end."
"Chicken fried steak fans-- come to Hickory Hollow!!!Had a craving and found they were recommended by Food Network. A local place with a truly Texas vintage vibe, the food did not disappoint. Order at the counter. Served on pizza plates! My small chicken fried steak could've easily fed two. Crispy batter and tender steak. Yummy gravy. Loved my sides of Mac and cheese and string beans. Only $13 for my meal. Lots of other dishes to choose from but I needed chicken fried steak!"
"Ok so I visited this place in October 2023If you ever visit Houston TX and wanna your BBQ spots, this is a MUST DO!Don't let the lines scare you, you ain't come down here just to turn back around! You owe it to yourself to see it through!Let's get into it First off these guys do a great job keeping it cool despite all the chaos. Not exactly chaos per se, but they are all working very hard and still doing friendly service. Hats off to them! Now you know I had to try just a lil bit of everything and so glad I did! Wasn't able to nearly finish it all but NO REGRETS!All the meats were smoked to perfection!Ordered RibsBrisket sausages Boudin and sides of Mac, baked beans green beans potato salad! Everything was delicious except the MAC! Sorry but YUCK! And that's all I'm gonna say about that! I don't see HOW...never mind! Lemme mind my business haha. Oh and I had the sweet ass drinks(no complaints, they was just SWEEEEEEET) , and huge servings of peach cobbler, Red Velvet(not really care for this either, it was aiight...)I love the ambiance of this place there are many photos of family and cute signs of positivity everywhere, SO TEXAS! And I was proud and I ain't even from there lolI took my food out to sit on the patio area and there was a cute lil kitty that I fed tooIf you ever in Houston check this place out! That's all YELPies!Enjoy!"
"Got to try this food catered at a party. Overall, I enjoyed the food taking into account the delivery time. The bulgogi was delicious, the galbi was flavorful while a little tough. Maybe due to the transit time though. Kimchi was standard! Not sure if I'd come here for kbbq when there are other great ones nearby but I'd like to try their other dishes!"
"My family had dinner here last night. Probably our 3rd or 4th time here. Our 2nd favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in Houston. This place is all about the food. Not a very fancy setting. They use real charcoal which adds great flavor to the grilled meats. The service was very good.We had three types of meat:Dry aged rib-eye filets - 5/5: They have limited supplies of this but if they have it, I highly recommend it. Great meat flavor and very tender. I would ask for a side of salt to just season a bit while on the grill.Fresh Galbi (unmarinated short rib) - 4/5: Very good, just not as good as the first item.Pork Belly - 3/5: Okay but thought the two beef meats were much better. The meal came with steamed egg (4/5), soybean stew (5/5) and decent amount of banchan (side dishes overall 3/5 to 4/5).BBQ Garden is not as fancy as Bori, but if you just want good food (and at a more reasonable budget), can't go wrong with this place. We'll be back."

One of my favorite BBQ sauces ever...Coffee Bourbon Sauce!!Very good Loaded Frito pie and Tacos. My chopped beef for the pie was excellent. Sides pretty tasty. Elote salad a 3, potato salad 4.Inside was chaos as the door was held open by others letting heat and bugs in. Long line off people standing over you while eating wasn't great. Maybe a sign or an attendant would help...Customers know your BBQ etiquette please!

I didn't want to get up at 6 in the morning and wait in line at one of the other popular BBQ places so I figured I'd give this place a try. We got there a little bit before 11 when it opened and there was a little line but not too bad. The meat was priced by the pound but you can buy any amount you want which was nice. I think we got about a half pound of ribs and 3/4 of pound of brisket. They put it on the scale and ask if it's enough and they will add more if needed. The ribs were fantastic. I think this place beat my previous favorite ribs place in Kansas City. It had a nice Smokey flavor to it, the ribs were tender and flavorful and well seasoned, and the sauce on it was good too. The brisket was also great as well, nice char on the top and great flavor with just the right amount of fat. Wasn't too fatty or too lean, just right. We also got the coleslaw and Mac and cheese as sides and they were decent too. I would return if we were in the area afa

Solid 4...almost a 5 but there was a place we went to on our Texas trip that we liked better.Location/decor- in a bit of a run-down area; parking lot was big enough early on a weekday but I could see this being a problem on a weekend; the interior design is awesome and comfortable...everything looks cool and there is plenty of spaceStaff- ok...nothing specialFood- brisket was really good, pulled pork was ok, and the mac n cheese and brussell sprouts were solid choices*prices a bit high

A second return visit to Tejas needed an amended review to include one of my favorite sandwiches of all time! This will be a quick review. The infamous Bird and Bacon Sandwich! Smoked turkey, bacon, fried egg, avocado on a toasted bun! After a long day puttin around Houston, I had a craving for some breakfast for dinner and let me tell you........ this was it!I'm not sure if the stars were aligned with Jupiter that night or what but that single bite was everything! Oh and don't forget the green sauce too! This was happily devoured in my car and was gone all too soon!I still dream of this sandwich! And you will too!

Torn between a 3 or 4 star review. Service was excellent! The server was friendly, helpful, made good suggestions, and was generally on top of his game. The dining room and restrooms were clean, bright, and nicely decorated. The food was pretty good, but has lots of room for improvement. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. Brisket, sliced pork belly, and turkey sandwich were all pretty dry. The Cherry Cola Pork Belly bites were exceptionally tough and dry. However, they all had fantastic flavors! The mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese were great! I LOVED the corn, give that a try for sure. They offered three different types of BBQ sauce which was fun to try, but they all had vaguely similar tastes, making me think that the base of each sauce starts the same. Maybe I'm wrong on that though. I'd go back and give them another chance to earn that missing star or two.

This has become one of my favorite places to get food! The first time I visited was for a Saturday dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. While we were seated promptly, we ended up in the outside section without a grill. Surprisingly, we enjoyed it; the atmosphere was quiet, giving us the feeling of having our private room. However, being tucked away meant we weren't checked on as much. For appetizers, we ordered:- Kimchi pancake- Japchae: This dish was truly life-changing! It was so flavorful and looked beautiful.- Small ABC platter (1 choice of meat in each row)In hindsight, we could have skipped the appetizers and still been full due to the abundance of sides - all of them delicious! The second time I visited was for lunch, where we ordered the grilled bulgogi for two and japchae. We probably didn't need the japchae to be full, but it was so good the first time that I had to get it to share :)

"I cannot lie I am a little addicted to Rudy s bbq sauce. Have been coming to this location for a few years and their BBQ turkey is always fresh and delicious. Service is friendly and love they support military families.Plenty of inside and outside tables to sit when weather allows.Their turkey sausage is also very good and spiced appropriately to my taste .I have been a fan since my college days in San Antonio when we used to do 50 mile bike and smell the BBQ as we passed Rudy's.My hungry cyclist friends would then meet back at our cars and drive back to Rudy's Every time I go to Rudy's I remember those early days .Highly recommend."
"Tried the 4 meat plate $31. Links, ribs, briskett, pork loin. Got it wet but should have done dry. Meats were top notch, pork loin a bit dry. Tried several sides - all very good. Process to order, pay and sit is cumberson. Small parking lot."
"I usually don't have a reason to be in Rosenberg, but as we were in town to go to a wrestling show, we saw this place existed.Least favorite thing - gravel parking lot.Aside from that, the restaurant gave the impression it was a tiny hut of a place. Once you look to your left, you see the sneakily hidden eating area.I enjoyed the bar b que sandwich and macaroni and cheese. I wish they had pepper...maybe I missed it. I felt it was scrumptious and filling. Things that were nice to see was that they were great with customer service and many patrons who went there for the same reasons I did, kept remarking how much they loved the place and how much they enjoyed the service. I didn't need help from the staff, but personally I like going to restaurants and people watch happy customers. And to see 2 different groups rave is impressive.Definitely come here if you're in the Rosenberg area."
"This place is literally located on highway 290 and the sound of the highway just a few feet away is deafening. If you find yourself coming here, keep in mind there are only 8 parking spaces in their lot so you'll have to park on a surrounding street. You may also want to think about getting it to go since there's only about 12 picnic tables (and 2 inside) on the property. Keep in mind that they are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. What's interesting, is the fact that the building that you order from is barely big enough to park a car in. You'll probably be standing in line anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes which is very common. They also offer some good desserts, such as coconut cake and banana pudding. As for drinks, they do have a soda machine, otherwise it's water. Their three meat plate will run you about $30, but you get some very healthy side portions, a full link of sausage, two ribs, and some brisket. I have to admit I was surprised how good the sides were, from the creamy coleslaw to the beans mixed with brisket to the creamy potato salad. The sausage links were meaty and cheesy and brisket was wonderfully moist and flavorful. The ribs were perfectly smoked and the meat fell off the bone. For another $40 you can add one of their beef ribs which are a meal in itself. Five stars for all the grub, but I have to subtract half a star for poor location, inadequate parking, outdoor bathroom, lack of seating, no alcoholic beverages sold (although they were handing out free cans of Lonestar) and no AC. This is definitely some of the best barbecue you'll find in Brenham, or for that matter anywhere else, and worthy of a return trip. And when you finally check out, like most places these days, get ready for that tip screen. ****1/2 stars"
"A fave spot for Korean food in the area. I love coming here either for their lunch/dinner menu or kbbq. Plenty of parking spaces in a small plaza off of Long Point. Service is quick and friendly. We always get seated right away. Some of my favorite items are the soft tofu stew with seafood, bossam, and the LA Galbi. I always get the tofu stew every time I'm here. It's my comfort food and pair with the LA galbi makes a great combo. The large bossam could feed 4-6 people. We can never finish it especially when you're also eating all the sides and other dishes. I have also tried kbbq here with a group. We were seated in a private room. You can order off of their combo menu. I mostly prefer just ordering off of their normal menu versus doing the kbbq."
"One of Houston's Best BBQ joints! Forget the fancy fixin's, purple onions, and plush settings. BBQ is about a taste and feel. If it tastes good it makes you feel good! Period! I had not had this BBQ in over a decade, but recently started working within 15 minutes of the restaurant. The homemade sausage links and brisket are very tasty, own there own. When you add the BBQ sauce, the party really gets started! It comes together, perfectly! In the last three months, I've had their food at least five times, whether via delivery or a visit to the restaurant. The counter where you order is a small, dark, confusing space and the wait time can be a bit of a challenge, but I understand that they are very busy with online, phone, and regular orders. The food is worth the wait! Also, if you don't like eating outdoors, stay away or get it to go. The tables are outdoors, on a covered patio. The staff is not very talkative, but they are cordial and say "Thank you!," when they give you your receipt and your order.I'll be back, again and again!"
"The standard for BBQ in Houston (#1) is so high that decent places like Brookstreet seem somewhat average in comparison. If it were a place in the northern part of the country, I think they'd be well received. They can't be considered among the heavy hitters in this city without being more consistent with their meats. 3.5 stars, rounded up.It's a good looking place with ample parking, covered patio seating, and a cozy interior that any place would love. I appreciate the homey vibe and intimate seating, and the super consistent service. That drive-thru is a gamechanger, which is perfect for folks who aren't interested in waits, or keeps people from having to wait in line (at least in person) and perfect for folks who are on the go. (#2)To be clear, I do like the food overall. I've had excellent versions of everything and I've also had dry and disappointing versions as well. The brisket and turkey are always big gambles, which also happen to be my favorite meats. I am fond of their jalapeño sausage and think the pulled pork is solid. The chopped beef baked potato is one of my favorite items, since it's fully loaded, and not as messy as other variations I've seen from around town. The jambalaya is a hard pass for me but the creamed corn and mac and cheese make up for it. Bread pudding is also a winner and a great way to end the meal. They also do deliver through a lot of the third party platforms. I always think BBQ is meant to be eaten in but the drive-thru makes this place a bonafide option for a last minute potluck or indulgent meal on the fly. ___________(#1) And really, Texas in general. (#2) Hello, it's me again."
"Every time I see Blood Bros BBQ on social media, I get excited. Because it brings me a good feeling from many memories of Bao Battle, Banh Mi Cookoff and other fundraising events benefiting the AAPI communities. Recently, I finally set foot at the restaurant. My first dish was the Smoked Brisket Burnt End on Steam Buns on the daily special menu back in February. My recent visit was on the last day of May. I went to check out the restaurant for a party. I want to be able to accommodate my guests with best possible experience. I spoke to the cashier, I believe they can deliver the experience that I am hoping for. While I was there, I ordered a Green Thai Curry Boudin Eggroll. It was a takeout. So, I didn't expect to be anything fancy. But when I opened the box... Wow, I was amazed by the presentation. The flavor, OMG, my taste buds were dancing in my mouth. So many exciting flavors and perfect combination of sweet, savory and spiciness. Not sure when I will get to see this item on the menu again. On my next visit, I am going to try the standard BBQ items on the menu. With the dining reward provided by the restaurant, I will be back more often."
"Took my dad here when he came to visit me in Houston for his first time because you can't NOT try Texas BBQ! The night was getting pretty late though so I'm happy that this bbq spot stayed open later than most. Everything was pretty direct when you walked in--we were greeted by friendly faces and were asked what meats and sides we wanted right away. We went for the pork belly, sausage, and brisket duh! The sides we chose were the potato's, Mac and cheese, and Spanish rice. The inside gave a cabin, warm feeling and there were TVs with the game on. The food was Smokey and hefty! The potato side was a nice comfort food touch too. I'm happy that my dad and sister enjoyed :)"
"I have been here when it was Jin Korean BBQ many years ago. Just recently, I noticed name changed to Bon KBBQ. According employee, it was just a name change. No wonder most reviews still carry the old name. Either way, same style and same affordable priced buffet meal. I came here today was because I didn't want to fight traffic to eat spicy food at the other side of town. One thing I like about Bon KBBQ is the parking and location. All you can eat doesn't attract me. I would rather limit myself to 35 minutes or I'll be full like a potbelly pig. Two things I don't like about this restaurant are the ventilation and thickness of cuts. My shirt stunk like I worked in the kitchen cooking for hours. I normally like to cook my own food at the table. But this time, I worried about eating half cooked pork and chicken. Because I overcooked my meats, they were tough. Yikes. But, I do like the prepared food section. Bulgogi beef and kimchi fried rice were my favorite. I would go back to eat just those and skip raw meat section."
"First time in Bryan, Texas as an adult here to visit my dad's side of the Family and go to the Texas A&M game against Auburn. It was Friday around 5pm and we were starving and wanted the best BBQ. So went on Yelp, and they said this is the spot. I like that the spot is Black owned, so we were all excited to try it out. When we walked in, we were the only ones in there at 8 people. But soon after more people came so we definitely beat the rush. The ambiance is pretty chill, they have a tv but wasn't really loud at all. The Pit master Co-owner Alan welcomed us and was super nice. Asked where we were from, took our order, recommended dishes, and gave us our own mix of lemonade and sweet tea to start which was so good. We order the family special which feeds 5-7 people for $100 including 1lb pork ribs, 1lb sausage, 1lb brisket, a whole chicken chicken and two sides. We got the mac n cheese and greens. We thought we would probably want more food so we ordered extra mac and cheese, potato salad, 1lb brisket, and 1lb ribs. They also gave us an entire loaf of white bread. So my absolute faves were the greens, I wish I got more! They were sooo good! Then I liked the ribs, then the brisket. The sausage was a little too hard for me, I like more juicy. Mac was too mushy, potatoes ok, and chicken was dry to me, but my brother's piece looked juicy and he liked it so I think I just got a dry wing. All in all I would definitely come back and I highly recommend. We left with leftovers and had a great time eating this delicious food with the great staff. Thank you guys for welcoming us into your town, I will be back!"
"I finally came, saw, and ate Tennessee style BBQ! My sister and I visited on Friday afternoon, just after the lunch rush, so I'm not sure if what I experienced is a direct result of this, but I have to stay true to my experience. So, my sister and I were the only two in the restaurant for our entire hour there, aside from to women, one if which was dressed in cook attire, so we assumed she worked there. My sister ordered a lean, sliced brisket sandwich plate, with green beans, and macaroni and cheese, plus spicy BBQ sauce. I ordered the two meat plate which included lean sliced brisket, pulled chicken, baked beans, green beans, and spicy BBQ sauce. I also ordered a lemonade, which I was told was made in-house. My sister and I both wanted the Pineapple Tea, but they didn't have any. Boooo! Note: I usually order sausage with my two meat plates at any BBQ place I visit, but Fainmous only makes pork sausage. Thumbs down for that, even if it's a Tenessee thing! It only allows me to top my review off at three starts. Sorry. We were both feeling the taste of the brisket with the spicy BBQ sauce. I don't know if it's a plus or minus, but the spicy BBQ sauce was merely sauce with crushed pepper flakes in it. It was defintely different. What I wasn't feeling was the fact that we ordered lean brisket, but I wound up peeling off a good amount of fat and leaving it piled on my plate. I respect how other people feel about fat when it comes to brisket, but I don't like fat on mine. Apparently the person preparing my plate thought that he could change my mind. Go figure! The lemonade was pretty good, too, and it was served in an old school mason jar. Nice touch!Overall, the food was pretty good. I wasn't blown over by it, but I had a good experience, especially since one of the two other people in the restaurant was the co-owner, Karen Fain - wife of James Fain (hence the name, "Fainmous"), who engaged us in conversation while we ate. She gave us the history behind Tennessee BBQ. It was a lengthy ride, during lunch, for just a "good" restaurant. A coin toss will determine whether or not we return."
"These ribs were the bomb!!! Holy smokes, my mouth has not tasted ribs this delicious and juicy in a while! I'm coming back for their all you can eat ribs! (On Tuesdays too $21.99)"
"BEST BARBECUE TO DATE. Since moving to Houston, I've been on the hunt for some of the best BBQ I could find here since we seemed to be lacking some when we lived in Florida. We each got the Two Meat Plate which mine consisted of pork belly, moist brisket, Mac n cheese and backed beans with brisket. The moist brisket was about 50% fat which is exactly what I wanted. It melted in your mouth it was so juicy. The pork belly did the exact same. I loved the crust on the pork belly. The Mac n cheese was especially creamy. The only thing I didn't care for were the beans, but that's all of the BBQ places. They definitely do their beans differently here in Texas versus the south (less sweet more savory) and there's nothing wrong with them, it's just a preference. Robert got the moist brisket with pork ribs and the same sides. We loved the pork ribs too as they fell off the bone. Honorable mention to the staff. They were really wonderful and answered any and all questions I had about the food and sides."
"Delicious biryani here without going all the way to Hillcroft. I tried their chicken biryani, tawa chicken and garlic naan. All the dishes were so good that it was tough to choose the best out of the three for me. :) Very good portion size too. I did takeout so can't tell about the service. But, the takeout service was efficient, it was ready on given estimated time.I'm definitely returning!"
"I came here for the first time! I had a hot bowl of bibimpa with vegetarian style! It was good but I can say that they can put more flavors by putting mushroom seasoning or even more of soy sauce or salt. I felt a bit of seasoning less. So my suggestion is that put mushroom seasonings or soy sauce. I enjoyed the variety of side dishes as well! That's the features of Korean restaurant for sure!Toward the end, we also ordered a bowl of cold noodles (nyengmyong? Idk spelling) it was sooooo good! I love the flavors , texture and subtle tartness and all! Because of that my rating bumped up to 5 stars from 4 stars!! Keep up the good work and make vegetarian options more flourish as well! :) Cheers"
"It was alright, I see why the reviews are not so hot. The food is alright. I feel like you really would come here for the vibes over the food. The service was okay too, they were informative and the food didn't take forever to come out. There was also good music playing. I ordered the crab cake and trash can brisket nachos. The nachos don't come with a lot of toppings and meat is dry. The table next to us hardly finished their food and said to not get the nachos but we had already ordered. Ours followed suite to what they said. If you're debating the nachos I would advise against it. The crab cake on the other hand was delicious. It's an appetizer so it's just the single crab cake. The price of the food didn't match how it tasted. Others ordered entrees and they said they were good. I heard the ribs were really good. Brisket Nachos 3/5Crab cake 4/5Oysters 4/5Also the $200 drink tower doesn't seem worth it. I'm not from Houston but we have those in the DC area for like $80 lol."
"MOUTH-WATERING LIP-SMACKING FINGER-LICKING!!! Hey guys! This establishment reeks of good 'ol Homemade Down-South, Mouth-Watering, Lip-Smacking, Finger-Licking, Savorable, Delectable, and Delicious BBQ!!! If anyone ever tells you that Texas doesn't KNOW BBQ, just take them for a visit to The Brisket House, and I guarantee you they will have an instant change of heart! I came here with my oldest and youngest sisters on an early Saturday afternoon for a lunch date. I've had this place bookmarked for such a long time and had read all of the great reviews about how delicious the bbq tastes. Since we were in the area getting pedicures, we all agreed that we had a taste for some good bbq, especially since it had been a while since we had any. Our only wish is that we would not be disappointed with our experience. Upon arrival, the place was pretty quiet when we arrived, and for a minute we thought that there wasn't anyone working there because we did not see any workers around. My older sister became skeptical and unsure about dining there as we were slowly approaching the ordering counter. Finally, a worker by the name of Jason came into view and we asked him if they were serving any bbq today and if they had anyone to greet the customers when they enter. He responded that they don't have anyone to greet the customers and I responded back to him saying, "Well, what about you? You could greet the customers so that people will know that you all are open for business and ready to serve." He responded, "Well, yeah I guess you're right." He laughed, I laughed, and my sisters laughed about it, and after the ice was broken, all was well. After placing our orders, he gave us a number to take to our table so that he could bring our food to us whenever it was ready. We all ordered two meats plates; mine consisted of marble cut brisket and white meat chicken accompanied by collard greens and coleslaw, my older sister's consisted of lean cut brisket and dark meat chicken with coleslaw and French fries, and my younger sister's plate consisted of pork ribs and dark meat chicken with Mac and cheese and fried okra. We also ordered fried catfish to sample. To say that the food was just good is an understatement. We all agreed that the bbq was some of the best bbq that we've had in a very long time! This place SHUTS DOWN Spring Creek, Pappa's, and Goode Company BBQ on any given day! The BBQ is absolutely mouth-watering and delicious! The collard greens hands down was bussing!!! I could taste the flavors of my ancestral background in each bite! The coleslaw was surprisingly delicious because not too many restaurants can prepare coleslaw properly without drowning it in mayo. This coleslaw was the perfect ratio of mayo to slaw, which made it enjoyable to eat. My older sister said that the French fries were really good because they were fresh and hot. However, she said that they could have put more fries on her plate and that it looked like she only had five fries, lol. Moreover, the brisket and chicken were both tender, moist, and flavorful. It seemed like the brisket just melted in my mouth and oozed with savory goodness because it was so darn tender. My older sister and I were in BRISK-HEAVEN as we were going in on our delicious slices of brisket while our younger sister watched with jealous regret in her eyes because she wished she would have ordered the brisket as well. Instead, she had the two-meat plate with pork ribs, chicken, Mac and cheese, and fried okra. She did not enjoy the ribs because she said they had too much fat on them and that they were tough. She ended up taking them home and putting them in the oven, cooking them until they were tender. She said they were a little more enjoyable after she cooked them at home but the excess fat was still in the way of her fully enjoying the ribs, but they were flavorful. However, she said that the Mac and cheese and fried okra were very delicious; the okra tasted fresh and not frozen. It lacked the mucilaginous slimy texture, and instead it was crunchy and soft, possessing a bright green color underneath the batter. YUMMY! Overall, I have found my go-to whenever I'm in the mood for some Delicious, Marinated, Flavorsome, Delectable, Down-South Good 'Ol Texas BBQ! I rated this establishment five stars based on the delicious flavors, the quality, and the quantity of the food, the cleanliness/presentation of the restaurant, and the friendliness and professionalism of the wait staff. Jason took our orders and also served us our food when it was ready. He was extremely knowledgeable of the menu items, he offered suggestions, and explained how the menu works, since it was our first time visiting and he recognized that we were confused. This was one of the best restaurant dine-in experiences that I have had the pleasure to thoroughly enjoy in a long time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR ANYONE WHO APPRECIATES GREAT BBQ BECAUSE TEXAS KNOWS BBQ BABY!!"
"I don't know what I can tell you to come here other than YOU NEED TO COME HERE! This is my favorite local spot, been here numerous times and I can honestly say that they are always consistent. Always clean, neat, and minimalistic which allows you to appreciate the environment even more with a glass of wine. From their tasty gyoza, to their raw octopus, honestly all their apps are delicious, the only issue is settling with just a few. Their buns are also a favorite with my family, the soft crab and pork ones are our favorites.Spicy chicken Ramen is my go-to all the time but I like to steal some bites from my boyfriend's steak hibachi, I tell you they know how to properly cook a steak hibachi with rice and veggies. Their teas are also a great addition to the overall experience, Peach is my favorite with their peach popping balls, my daughter personally loves the "fancy" glasses they come with to add that extra touch.Lastly, the service is always great! I feel like IZA hires employees with the same expectation from Chick-fil-a because everyone is always so kind. When I say kind, they are always happy to greet you, give you a genuine smile, and such a overall a great experience at a community restaurant."
"We have been to all Texas Monthly's top 50 BBQ joints and this deserves a place on the list. Lean brisket was a little dry, but great flavor. Pulled pork was outstanding, and Turkey was good. The sides are awesome. Their baked potato salad is my favorite anywhere, sweet potato casserole is a great desert. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will be back."
"HOUSTON, TX 77041 / CONTEMPORARY BBQ / SUN 11-19-23 / TAKEOUT DINNER+The BBQ Fried Rice was amazing; definitely a must-get!+The pickles and jalapeños are legit. The peppers remind me of the ones you find in Korean restaurants pickled with soy sauce. Also, the sliced white onions with vinegar were awesome.+The brisket was one of the best I've had in Houston-town. It had a nice pleasant smoke ring, not overpowered by pepper or too much rub like other places.+The pork ribs, at $9.97/lb, are a great deal in my opinion+The service was quick and the fragrant fried rice that was freshly-tossed in the wok flames was so tempting on the drive home.+The storefront is small and parking can be limited. Hopefully, they can open a second location on a much larger scale one day!-Would like to see some more unique side options."
"What did the government minister in Seoul say? "I never wanted to be known as a Korea politician."What to order: Yuk Gae Jang (beef soup). If you, like me, refer to your underwear as your "Garden", then you know that there are many restaurants out there that will leave you with a "Soiled Garden." This is not one of them.On Long Point, you'll find this absolutely delicious Korean food from this little restaurant on the north side of the street. The service isn't always great, but it's not bad, and we definitely like the soup here. We do want them to crank up the spice several levels next time we come though. But we love Korean food, and this is one of the better places to get it in Houston. Now if you've been to Busch Gardens or Madison Square Garden or the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ, then you know that there are many gardens, and some of them are not altogether pleasant. But there is only one garden that serves utterly spectacular Korean food. Indeed, this is the "Sole Garden" where you will find food this delicious. And when Barbi poses here without shoes, it really is "Sole Garden."Regardless, you must give SG a try. It is a really lovely restaurant with really nice decor. We love coming here, particularly as they have good Korean soups for a very affordable price. They can be a friendly bunch, and the soups in particular, as I said, are definitely worth coming in and trying."Solo Garden" might sound like the title of a home-made video of what you might do when it's nice outside, and you have high fences around your yard, and you really need some erotic release as well as some fresh air at the same time. However in this case, it has nothing to do with that, and I've specifically graphically asked the owners, and they assure me it has nothing to do with that. There's lots of great Korean food along Long Point Road, and I wish they could make it a little more spicy, the way we like it. Because that's the way, aha, aha, we like it, aha, aha. Thanks for reading my review. I shall now start my new life with dogs and cats (already got the cats) and a family and a white picket fence. I can already imagine looking for a kindergarten for my kids. Actually I think there is only one around here that I would trust to look after my kids. It is the "Sole (Kinder) garten" that I trust. Ba. Dum. Tsh."
