It's a nice big bowl of greens, squash, fried onion, and I added steak and pecans. It's tossed in a very good dressing. Love it. The place is big, clean and roomy, with big open windows. Also there is outdoor patio seating with a nice large screen tv. There are a lot of TVs inside as well. The waiter is very nice, friendly, and attentive. Never had to ask him to fill my water."

Alyssa F. "If you are going to an event at the United Center - this is the place to go to grab pre-event dinner and drinks! 10/10 would recommend. We thought we wouldn't be able to get a table before a weekday Chicago Bulls game but, we were (thankfully) wrong. We were seated immediately at a lovely booth. One side of the restaurant that had a large bar was not in-use. The other bar space was open and had bar seating available. The crowd was not boisterous or obnoxious which I appreciated. Serve was very fast and friendly. They were hustling! The cheese curds hit the spot although the cheese pull wasn't a nice long pull like in Wisconsin ;) The salad was huge and I wasn't able to finish it. My Fiancé ordered a hamburger with fries and also wasn't able to finish the meal which is very unlike us. We are always in the clean plate club. While dining we noticed a shuttle bus pull up to the front of the tavern. We asked our server what that was all about. Turns out, tavern patrons are able to take the complimentary shuttle to and from the United Center! The shuttle runs every few mins to and from the stadium. This was a very pleasant surprise especially because we planned to walk to the stadium and the forecast was calling for rain. We had zero issues with the driver remembering us when we grabbed the shuttle after the game. While this service is free, tips are appreciated."

Parking was a bit of a challenge since it was game day, but the bar gave us a parking pass while we were dining. The service was quick and friendly and menu choice was good. Here is what we had:Buffalo chicken egg rolls:. One of the newer items on their menu and specialties. It was weird to think of it but the taste was awesome. It was 4 egg rolls cut down the middle, stuffed with buffalo chicken and ranch or blue cheese as the dipping sauce. It was actually really good. Nice and crispy on the outside and soft and tender inside.BBQ wings: meaty and juicy, these wings were nice and tangy with the perfect amount of bbq sauce on them.Chicken tenders: the tenders were not overly breaded and the dreading was really good. Not just a thick slosh of flour, with a nice seasoning to it. The chicken was nice a soft.calamari:. These were fine not anything to brag over but we'll cooked and a good portion.Overall I would come back for a bite. I wish they served dessert, then I would make it a solid go to place. I recommend this to those just looking for a quick good bite."

I mean, sometimes you do, but not all the time. Stretch isn't like a laid back lounge or anything like that - it's still a Wrigleyville bar with the music bumping and the drinks flowing. But it is slightly less crazy than some of the large multilevel sports bar/clubs on the block.Pair a fun vibe with lots of early-mid 2000s music, and attendant staff members and you have a good place to chill before the first pitch. There's a big back room if you want an area to dance, but also some tables around if you're lucky enough to grab one.Obviously there are tons of options in the area, but if you don't want to stand in line for half an hour just to be stuck standing and fighting for a spot at the bar, Stretch is a fine place to be."

We were most recently there during the proof-of-vax time, and I was rather surprised that two servers were not properly masked. Might have been just an off day, but a lot of staff was collected behind the bar chatting among themselves and not too interested in customer interaction. The seemingly main bartender was transporting empty glasses by pinching the rim, then not washing hands before pouring others and serving them by grasping the rim instead of the middle, a practice that made me shudder way before COVID. This was my second visit here, with the first being about five years ago. I gather it is a good place for locals who want to become part of the "regulars" lineup. It has some pretty decent prices, making it actually not that bad so I can't hate this place a lot. Gets busy so it may take a long time before orders arrive or anyone even says anything. The drinks are the best thing, and even the food isn't that bad honestly. After the last time here my opinion of it improved, and we actually had good service as well as drinks and food. It was lightly busy on a weeknight, but we didn't wait for long. There were quite a few specials. On both drinks and food. We each got a Margarita. It was $5 and was bigger than we thought it would be. They probably used cheap liquors. Even so, it was hard to tell though, so good job. Of course we also had to get the food special. It was a Taco Dinner. It was $10 for three small tacos. There was the choice of chicken, steak, or black beans and vegetables. My friend got the chicken. We got the vegetarian ones, and were pleased. Even though these were small, they were bigger than many of these mini tacos you find around here. They also were packed full of beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo, some good shit. Go here on a weekday to get better prices on drinks and food. It's also open on weekends for a club atmosphere where it's much busier and service is slower. Those wanting to actually get food should come on weekdays."

I'll get to that in a minute. My partner really loves sports bars with huge tv's, so a last minute yelp search lead us to check out this establishment. We went on a Monday night and it was pretty empty, I'm sure it being freezing cold and Covid restrictions had a lot to do with that. I actually preferred that it wasn't as busy, the bar was clean and staff were very pleasant. There are tvs all over to watch sports which was great. Shoutout to our server Oliver, he was very nice and kept small talk with us. Ok now onto the food....it was good! The food came out fresh and hot (another perk of it being a slow night) and had excellent flavor. My burger and my partner's chicken sandwich were cooked perfectly. But cmon, you know the star of the show was the glass of bacon! I was hesitant to spend $10 for bacon but they give you 1lb of thick cut bacon, seasoned with maple and pepper. It's such good bacon I cannot stress enough lol. The drinks were good too, as my bio says I am a whiskey girl and was pleased to see a full and well kept bar. We went there last night, in search of a Packer bar somewhere near Uptown. They took our reservation gladly and they were nice and direct on the phone, as in, "It's gonna be busy during the game. Show up at least half an hour before the game, even with a reservation."It wasn't as packed as I was expecting, but I do believe that every table was reserved in advance, so I would recommend reservations for a game. For the Packers-Bears game, they had the raving Packers maniacs in the bright back room and the somber Bears fans in the dimly lit front room, though it wasn't enforced or anything like that. It felt pretty civilized overall, to almost everyone's credit. The food is decent, by bar standards. We had Muchacho Totchos and the highlight, besides tots, was the pico de gallo at the top. It tied the whole room together and all that, just like The Dude's rug. Also, we tried the guacamole, which had a strong lemon flavor, but it was good and not salty at all. They had RC Cola on tap, so we were super duper enthused. The stars of the show, though, are the other fans, the staff, DJ and the owner (Brian) walking around with a microphone. It is loud. My left ear was ringing after the game, but it all made for a very exciting and engaging gameday experience. (I was debating just watching the game at home, but I'm glad that we went.)They also gave away NFL stuff during halftime during the drawing. Both Bears and Packers fans who won were mildly happy. As a bonus, it's very LGBT friendly. Everyone comes as they are and there's good diversity and representation among staff. Anthony M. "CELEBRITY CHEF BRINGS THE FIREI love a good cooking show, after hosting and judging live culinary events myself for the past ten years. It's always fun to see chefs I know throw down on grocery games or cut throat kitchen. I was excited to see that The Florentine had hired Chef Jason Hedin, as their executive chef. I would have never gone to a hotel restaurant but I needed to have the opportunity to taste his flavors. Gordon Ramsay once remarked how beautiful his dishes were plated. Chef Ramsay was right. Chef Hedin's dishes are gorgeous, like a piece of culinary art. As a culinary judge, we eat with our eyes. The first score is always presentation. These are winning dishes visually. Now it's time to taste these dishes. My eyes can only tell so much. I love how creative the menu is. Chicago has many Italian places that serve up safe Italian dishes. I loved that Chef pushes the culinary envelope. My palette was made for these incredible flavors that truly make my tastebuds dance. One of my favorite dishes was his black pepper charred filet mignon carpaccio with horseradish, shaved parmesan, black garlic aioli, and a house made herbed lavash. Yes chef makes homemade crackers. I'm addicted to them. The real magic was the flavor of the beef. Definitely the best I've had in a while. Another favorite was the buratta with a spiced tomato jam, roasted on-the-vine cherry tomatoes, garlic sourdough, and basil. Our family was fighting over the dish. That's a good sign in a Sicilian family. I will say one thing I did not want to share my rosemary grissini with whipped iberico lardo parfait, and 18 month-aged san danielle prosciutto. This is one bite that is all mine. I will never look at a bread stick the same way ever again. It's hot! I'm never a fan of veggies first but was blown away by the heirloom carrot salad with herbed yogurt and lemon vinaigrette. These are the best carrots that I've ever had in my life. I was even impressed with the lamb meatballs made with moroccan spices, sauce bravas, medjool date, and pickled white fig. My Sicilian Nonna would love the creativity of the flavors. My Dad wouldn't eat lamb but not because they aren't t amazing. It's a tragic story about his pet lamb on the farm in Sicily but that's another story over some limoncello or grappa. The restaurant makes creative pizzas along with fresh pasta in-house. I always tell people eat at restaurants that are making fresh pasta. Anyone can boil dry pasta from a box. You can truly taste the difference. Chef has a lobster goat cheese cavatelli on the menu with a red 'nduja diablo sauce. It's very rich and deep. Its a great dish to share. They also create unique pizzas like the lobster and caviar with citrus crème fraîche, fromage blanc, and watercress. If you're looking for a show stopper then order the 32oz slow roasted bone-in short rib oxtail bordelaise for the whole table. Everyone will be jockeying for position to grab the tender meat, as it falls off the bone. Order some sides with this dish too. I really loved the calabrian spiced fingerling potatoes with a citrus vinaigrette along with the romano brussels sprouts with a lemon zest, buttered breadcrumbs, and caesar dressing. Keep the green dishes coming with the grilled asparagus and broccolini. At this point, you'll need a nap. Luckily you're in a hotel. A bed is probably necessary, after enjoy all this incredible food. I have one request. Find your second wind and order dessert. There's an Italian pistachio cherry gelato sundae that is prepared table side. I love this show stopping dessert. It is literally built right in front of your eyes. Honestly this is the perfect ending. It was really fun to get to taste dishes from Chef Hedin. He's a fierce competitor on the blue team on Hell's Kitchen and now bringing his talents to The Loop in Chicago."
