Flagship Tavern and Grill

I have dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world. In fact, many Michelin star restaurants fear me due to my highly refined palate and my elite Yelp review skills. If I had to chose between any of those elite dining establishments, and flagship tavern, I would chose flagship 11/10 times. The haters always say "oh but Griffin, surely Flagship doesn't compare to French laundry?" My bad. I forgot that French Laundry gives you J mo shots on the house, and they have TVs in the bathroom so you can you watch your team make a goal line push while taking a dump. Oh wait. YOU CANT. but you can at Flagship. Not to mention the food is GREAT. A true Chicago staple that all must experience! OFFICIAL RATING - GOATED

I'm not sure if they got a new owner or what the catalyst is but flagship is not what it used to be. The food is significantly worse and they are understaffed consistently. The food here used to be the best in the neighborhood but I went in today and they gave less than half the amount of cheese curds they used to. Which is ok considering the cheese curds went from a 8/10 to a 3/10. Our friend really didn't enjoy the fish taco. They give plastic utensils now I guess. They forgot a drink order completely. Stopped here last night for dinner with a group of friends before a show. We left after we ordered a round of drinks because they were out of a lot of food we were trying to order, and there was zero toilet paper in the women's bathroom. Hard to tell if they were horribly unprepared for a Friday night, or if they're on their way out. I was so embarrassed for having recommended the place, based on what I saw online.

Such a great atmosphere! Our waitress was amazingly attentive and as soon as our glass was empty she was asking and bringing us another one! Took in a MIchigan State basketball game and there was a DJ, multiple raffle prizes and specials all night long.I also enjoyed a quesadilla with chicken which was phenomenal!

I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! The French Onion soup was outstanding (shout out to Antonio for the recommendation!).The food was excellent and the service was even better.

Solid food, quick and attentive service, great options for everyone.Wings/burgers were delicious Love the fact that you can mix and match any of the Slider optionsOnly negative thing I have is I wish the hand cut fries were a little more crispy but other than that, everything was Fantastic I will definitely come back

Flagship was a good time. Especially since I went in on a rainy Wednesday and had low expectations. They had bingo night, and frankly, I didn't think I was going to like it, but I can see why the geriatric community loves it. I had a good time. The place filled up fast, but the servers were ready. They kept up fine, and the drinks kept coming. I love how they had a ton of grilled cheese sandwiches. Would love to come and try them all. We had the plain grilled cheese, and it came with tomato soup. We also had the grilled veggie dish. The grilled cheese was plain, but the veggie dish was surreal. I wanted to order another one, but I came with other people, so I didn't want to look like a fatty. I am coming again for that dish. Great neighborhood bar! You should visit it!

Good team working there, plus they have a Golden Tee machine.Tater tots are always good, and they have them.Wasn't crowded. PaRking on street

Came in for the bingo night, great food, good drinks, and funny host! Definitely will be coming back, I recommend the cheese curds!

Was never a huge fan of this place but I've been many times in my 5+ years of living in the neighborhood.Under new ownership I've been 3-4 times, terrible experiences all around, out of food and drinks multiple occasions. From friends and other neighbors I've heard the same since, plenty of better spots to go in the neighborhood. Nothing special about this place.
