DSTRKT Bar & Grill

Looking for a cool place in Chicago for food & drinks! I would say we got a 2-for-1! They had food & a great bar atmosphere upstairs & the down stairs a more dance club esc vibes. That was perfect because we didn't have to leave to search for anything else! I got the slimy garlic parm wings - they were cool not fried as hard as i generally would like them but I also didn't request that upon ordering. I also got the shrimp & French fries platter - the shrimp was actually fried a little too hard for me but good enough to eat. I got a rum mixed speciality cocktail which tasted like kool-aid & didn't seem very strong at all. The food is decent - their service was nice - the atmosphere was GREAT!

If you love wings and good music this is the place for you. I want to start by saying these wings get 1st place. They were so juicy, tender and falling off the bone. The mango habanero ‍The service was fast and drinks were decent. They have an upstairs that's set up more dine friendly and a basement level that's for dancing. We went up and down back and forth to catch the vibes from the different DJ's. I will definitely return to this place. I had a blast. 4 stars because it could've been cleaner.

2.5/5 stars. And that's bc my nachos and the wings were good. The tables were really close to each other and we could barely scoot out without hitting another party. The menu and receipt do have different prices. I read that on here beforehand so I'm not surprised. Definitely price discrepancies. The price for credit/debit is different from cash. Don't like that at all. I asked the waitress what It was about and she acted confused like she's didn't know anything about it. I won't be back.

Check it out: another Wicker Park hipster spot with good drinks and okay food. DSTRKT is like a Mexican-American hipster bar and grill. It has some pretty decent prices, making it actually not that bad so I can't hate this place a lot. Gets busy so it may take a long time before orders arrive or anyone even says anything. The drinks are the best thing, and even the food isn't that bad honestly. After the last time here my opinion of it improved, and we actually had good service as well as drinks and food. It was lightly busy on a weeknight, but we didn't wait for long. There were quite a few specials. On both drinks and food. We each got a Margarita. It was $5 and was bigger than we thought it would be. They probably used cheap liquors. Even so, it was hard to tell though, so good job. Of course we also had to get the food special. It was a Taco Dinner. It was $10 for three small tacos. There was the choice of chicken, steak, or black beans and vegetables. My friend got the chicken. We got the vegetarian ones, and were pleased. Even though these were small, they were bigger than many of these mini tacos you find around here. They also were packed full of beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo, some good shit. Go here on a weekday to get better prices on drinks and food. It's also open on weekends for a club atmosphere where it's much busier and service is slower. Those wanting to actually get food should come on weekdays.

The wings here are nothing less than perfect. Very tender fresh & did not disappoint. The waitress Jasmine was nice and efficient. The atmosphere was very live, great music and a live DJ. If your looking for fun on a Thursday night get here

So yesterday I went out with my coworkers to the Wicker Park Fest and a few other bars. They wanted to go to Dstrkt Bar & Grill. I told them id been there plenty of times & I didn't mind going. Upon entering my non-colored coworkers (2 guys) walked right in and proceeded to the bar. I guess the bouncers didn't know we were all together so they tried to charge all the black people. $40 for girls, $60 for guys! We literally watched our friends walk in without paying so we instantly knew it was discrimination! I confronted the bouncer telling him everything I witnessed, flagged down my friends that got in free, and we left. There was no huge ending or anything but I just wanted to spread the word on the racism they exhibit at that establishment. I'll never be back, and encourage everyone else to follow.

Loud, tacky, dirty, and just such a bad experience. Had to be patted down to enter a... restaurant? I was ready to leave from the second we entered. Not to mention they scammed our group by adding an unknown gratuity, so we tipped 40%... definitely would've gave a 15% tip based off service and atmosphere, yuck.

It was my first time here I came for my birthday and I absolutely loved it!! All I gotta say is the reviews are RIGHT about the wings, they were literally the best wings I ever had!! They were falling off the bone, I got honey hot which was FIRE. The music was fire too I went on a Friday night around 9-10pm and it wasn't packed but the club downstairs was but I didn't check that out. They have $5 margaritas on Fridays and they were super good too! They also were giving complementary shots, who doesn't love that???!! They also gave me a don Julio cup for free since it was my bday, I appreciate it so much! This is definitely gonna be a spot I come to more often.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! THIS PLACE WILL ADD UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO YOUR BILL! So, please check your bill AND your bank account.I took my mother and the rest of my family to this place on Mother's Day (5/12/24). We ordered a variety of food. The food was pretty good...no complaints. There was house music playing downstairs, so my family and I went down to listen and vibe. I went to the bar and ordered a rum and coke. The bartender told it would be $10. I was ok with that. So, I proceed with the transaction for my drink via my debit card. I had just given this place about at $20 gratuity for our food. So, I did not tip the bartender, nor did I have intentions to leave one. I paid the $10 for my drink (at least I thought) and went my merry way. A couple of days later, I check my bank account and see an unauthorized payment of $12 to DSTRKT. I was perplexed because my food bill was right at the door of $100 and my drink was $10. I was upset because I did not authorize an additional $2. I assume the $2 was gratuity (at 20%). Two dollars isn't a lot to cry about, but it's the principle. I NEVER authorized the bartender to charge anything other than the $10 for my drink! This is theft! Furthermore, DSTRKT's gratuity is 18% not 20%. So, the bartender charged more than the establishment charges for gratuity!After discovering the unauthorized charge on my account, I called DSTRKT regarding this matter. No one answered the phone, and the voicemail was full. I called back later, still no one answered the phone and the voicemail full. I contacted DSTRKT SEVERAL times over a matter of days!!! No one answers the phone, and the voicemail stays full!!! Then, I attempted to reach someone via email. Til this day, no one responded to my email. I thought about leaving a review regarding my situation, but I decided to leave it alone...until today.My brother stopped by DSTRKT to get something to eat. Upon receipt of the bill, he notices an automatic charge for gratuity. There is an automatic gratuity for parties 4 or more. However, it was just a party of TWO! This is very shady, and it's obvious there are shady practices going on at this place, hence, the reason no one has responded to my email. My family and I are DONE with place and will NEVER, EVER return!!!

I was there for the first (and last) time on Saturday for a birthday party. The music by DJ Earn Money was great, as was the loungey space in the downstairs area, but those were the only good things about this bar. I bought three vodka sodas, two tequila shots (I did not ask for anything top shelf and assumed they were well shots), and a Corona. MY TAB WAS $97!!! My partner bought two Coronas and one liquor drink and his was $55!! The bartender did not provide us with itemized receipts, and she was so busy that I just paid my tab and vowed that I will never be back. Something seems wrong with our totals because the bar's menu lists crafted cocktails around $13, so how the hell could my tab have cost $97?If you go to DSTRKT make sure you ask how much drinks cost and demand an itemized receipt.
