Muchacho Totchos: tot nachos, a bit heavy on the dairy, but the pico de gallo on top gave it some zest
Guacamole, citrusy, flavorful, good consistency and multi-color chips are fun

Great spot. If you live in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out!Went tonight to watch a friend perform in a play (Clash on Clark is the quaint venue upstairs) This place is exactly the type of space that you want in Chicago. Local Arts... food, drinks, welcoming staff on all levels. Chicago, you know what we've been missing in the past few years and this place is picking it up.

Warning: this review may make some bold claims and contain undue hyperbole and rambling insanity in favor of the Green Bay Packers. Please do not proceed unless you're willing to tolerate that or if you just hate warnings in general. My Buddy's is my buddies or are my buddies. Or My Buddy's my buddy. I dunno.Anyway, they make you feel at home here. We went there last night, in search of a Packer bar somewhere near Uptown. They took our reservation gladly and they were nice and direct on the phone, as in, "It's gonna be busy during the game. Show up at least half an hour before the game, even with a reservation."It wasn't as packed as I was expecting, but I do believe that every table was reserved in advance, so I would recommend reservations for a game. For the Packers-Bears game, they had the raving Packers maniacs in the bright back room and the somber Bears fans in the dimly lit front room, though it wasn't enforced or anything like that. It felt pretty civilized overall, to almost everyone's credit. The food is decent, by bar standards. We had Muchacho Totchos and the highlight, besides tots, was the pico de gallo at the top. It tied the whole room together and all that, just like The Dude's rug. Also, we tried the guacamole, which had a strong lemon flavor, but it was good and not salty at all. They had RC Cola on tap, so we were super duper enthused. The stars of the show, though, are the other fans, the staff, DJ and the owner (Brian) walking around with a microphone. It is loud. My left ear was ringing after the game, but it all made for a very exciting and engaging gameday experience. (I was debating just watching the game at home, but I'm glad that we went.)They also gave away NFL stuff during halftime during the drawing. Both Bears and Packers fans who won were mildly happy. As a bonus, it's very LGBT friendly. Everyone comes as they are and there's good diversity and representation among staff. Good unity and good times. We'll be back for another game and we're also looking forward to going to one of their karaoke nights.

Was not informed when food was delivered so it was cold when I got it. The order of cheese curds is pretty small for the price. The chicken was also pretty dry and bland. I've eaten here before so I know it's good but this experience wasn't up to par

They have a few tables outside and indoor by the windows. They have amazing food and service. We had the deviled eggs, tater tots, and cheese curds. Those deviled eggs are unreal! Do not pass on those. I also ordered my Thanksgiving dinner from them and the entire meal was spot on and so affordable. To top it off, for every 2 meals they donated the third meal to a local charity/artist/essential worker. This place is so down to earth and friendly. We need more businesses like them.

My Buddy's is definitely on the divey side! It's got wood paneling and dim lighting, and is surprisingly large on the inside. There's a full food menu (highly recommend the burgers and salads!) and a decent beer list, however, they only have ONE beer on draft which is a bummer. The prices are also a little steep for the area, which is the main reason for 4 stars. Otherwise, service is quick and friendly and My Buddy's is set to become one of our regular spots.

I had heard glowing reviews about this place from friends, but I was like "how good can this place really be?" From the surface, this is a typical sports bar with a dash of Lakeview LGBT scene thrown in. Big deal? There's thousands of bars and grills in Chicago like this. However, the food and service make this place one of the best Chicago sports bar that I've ever gone to! I play in a kickball league and this is our sponsor bar. It's over a mile away from the field so I was a bit grumpy on why on earth we are coming here. I parked next to a cemetery so the night was already a bit weird. However, as soon as I sat down, all that changed. The bar is a bit oddly shaped and the whole front part is filled with fantasy football leagues. They put is in the back which was full of large and pretty nice tables. The owner (?) profusely apologized even though we probably got a much better table than just showing up. This is where the great service started. We got a welcome shot and two free small pizzas. Our server was also outstanding and did 10 different checks and was able to keep them apart. I've never seen that done in a restaurant ever and he acted like it wasn't a big deal. I mean, a group of 10 can be crazy. He also had nearly perfect memory with orders. My burger came with tots instead of fries so he quickly got me an order of fries without charging me extra and letting me keep the tots. He also made one too many drinks and asked if I wanted it. I said yes thinking I'd be charged. Nope, no charge due to his "mistake" (I tipped as if I was charged). This has to be one of the best servers I've ever had in a bar like this. As for the food, it was surprisingly good. The Buddy Burger might make it on my best burger list. It was perfect. Even though I don't like tots, these were excellent. They were so good that one of my friends tried one and decided to get his own basket. The drinks were good, but not excellent. I will give them credit for trying to do so many unique drinks. We were also there during trivia put on by drag queens. That was a crazy surprise and we won! At least we won one game last night! I was seriously impressed by this place and look forward to visit after my next game!

Server was completely overwhelmed and unsupported and took it out on the patrons. He physically pushed me twice as did the owner- I was not even in the way, there was plenty of room. They knew the event was sold out and did not hire proper staff to accommodate. Take better care of your staff.

My partner and I went here for the first time last night to see Betta Fish performing. She slayed Category Is! We won a raffle for tickets to another show and will be back soon. Our server Josh was really funny and personable. Shoutout to his amazing karaoke performance! The bar is full of Gremlins and is equal parts queer and sporty. Awesome ambience. We liked that they serve food as well as drinks. Thanks Josh!
