My party and I decided to give The Fifty/50 a try while walking down Division Street in search of something new and fun. Therefore, the inviting sign, nice bar, and booth seating with TVs all around seemed promising at first, however, our experience showed that a great establishment isn't solely defined by its looks and interior design. Hence, the service was soooo slow, like I'm talking sloth from Zootopia type slow. It started as my party was seated at a booth after being greeted and the server saying she would be right back. The right-back turned into a couple of "be right there"s and another 15 minutes of us watching the Columbia vs Argentina soccer game that had just begun. Then, during our waiting period, another server brought us food that wasn't even for our table. In hindsight, we should have just taken that food and my party would have definitely had a happier experience. Hence, The server would then bring us water and take our order at basically half time of this soccer game. The food would finally arrive in pieces as half of our party's burgers would arrive and then the other a whole 15 minutes later. Finally our drinks would arrive another 15 minutes later after our food, so our burgers just went down with water and hard fries. Overall, the burger was pretty good, but I just can't justify waiting for a whole soccer game to get the drinks that you ordered at the same time as your food and hard waffle fries that cost extra.Overall, I will probably never be back here as the service is sloth slow and the owner is more worried about the volume of the game than his customer. Also, this place is lucky Messi saved the day and Argentina took home the dub, or else this would have been a no-star experience.

Four of us came in for a few drinks and we were pretty unsatisfied with the overall experience. There were seats available at the bar and in the booths so it was not over crowded by any means. We worked with two different bartenders. The old fashioned and margarita we got were disappointing, The owner was verbally impatient with us and was not helpful when ordering our drinks (we were asking the type of tequila and type of whiskey they had he said he has a lot...). Then when we were ready to close our tab the owner ignored us (even though he was standing next to us) until one of us spoke up loudly saying we just need the tab closed. Thanks to Eddy for waiting on us and helping us out.I would not choose to come back here solely based on the cold service.

Alright, so I'm not exactly what you'd call a sports bar aficionado, but all my buddies are crazy about The Fifty/50. One night, feeling a bit adventurous (thanks to some green inspiration), I decided to tag along. And let me tell you, it's not your typical sports bar vibe - more like a laid-back, updated neighborhood hangout. We strolled in on a quiet night, got seated right away, and then, jackpot - they were doing bottomless wings. Now, usually, the word "bottomless" raises an eyebrow, but these wings? Absolute game-changers. No kidding. And the waffle fries? I'm convinced they're sprinkled with some kind of magical seasoning and fried in oil from another dimension. Seriously, I'm not easily impressed by fries, but these were next level. But, and there's always a but, the service was on the slower side. And I mean, it wasn't busy - I'll say it again, NOT busy. Our server acted like taking our orders was the most tedious task on the planet. Chicago service, it's like playing the lottery - this time, we didn't win. Now, let's get back to the good stuff. The Fifty/50 is the kind of neighborhood bar you want in your life. The food? Explosively good. Those wings and waffle fries might just be worth dealing with a server who's moving at a glacial pace. Casual vibes all around, making it the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy some top-notch bar cuisine, and, if you're lucky, catch a game on the side. So, in a nutshell, if you're down for a chill atmosphere, stellar wings, and waffle fries that'll make your taste buds dance, The Fifty/50 is your spot. Just be prepared for the possibility of service that's a bit more tortoise than hare.

I'm not going to post too much about the wings because most people's descriptions are accurate. They are large and meaty with a nice skin to them. My favourite are the Buffalo and BBQ sauces. We were there to watch the NBA finals GM1 and it had a good atmosphere to it.Where I'm taking down a star is that service was pretty slow given that it was an expected busy night and there was 1 bartender, 2 servers and 1 hostess. I also agree with one of the reviews that commented on the stickiness of the table. Our table was so sticky that our napkins often stuck to them like there was tape. I'm not sure if it's the finishing or because they're just not cleaned well but it felt pretty gross that I had to place napkins down where my arms would touch the table. Given that most people are eating with their hands, having a dirty, sticky table is unacceptable.Other than that, the quality of the food is high quality. Their skillet cookie was the highlight of the night and I would suggest everyone save room for the dessert.

The Fifty/50 just debuted their new menu and it is FIRE !! Chef Rick added several new dishes that knock it out of the park while continuing some classics everyone knows and loves. This week I tried a few of the new dishes and cocktails and was very satisfied with my choices. The empanadas are a seasonal item but I am hoping they make it onto the menu permanently because they were outstanding! So much flavor and balanced well between the meatiness of the empanadas and the sauces paired with it. It's also plated beautifully in a very unexpected way for a sports bar and might be my new favorite to order. You get three large empanadas in each order so it could easily be a meal on its own or something to share with a group. They are large enough to cut in half so in a group of six everyone gets a taste of the delicious dish. But knowing how good they are, everyone may want their own. I was happy to see the nachos were still on the menu and while I didn't get an order of those this time, I like that you can now customize your nachos without meat or choose from a few options like steak, chicken or smoked pork shoulder. (The nachos have been one of my personal favorites on the menu and hands down one of my favorite nachos in the city). We also got an order of the truffle fries which were incredible but I recommend sharing those because it's a generous portion of them. The next thing I'd like to rave about is the addition of the espresso martini to the cocktail menu. I've been a huge fan of these delicious drinks for a long time and love that they are so trendy now, appearing in locations beyond steakhouses and Italian restaurants. Happy to see the Fifty jump on the espresso train and offer this option to those that love them. It was so good and the type of espresso martini I enjoy most. Becca made it perfectly! Im looking forward to trying some of the other new, refreshing, perfect-for-summer cocktails and a few other new dishes on the menu like the chicken and steak skewers. (From what I've seen, those look mouth-watering as well). This new menu certainly goes beyond the level of a typical sports bar, or even local bar and restaurant, with the quality of food and presentation of it for diners to enjoy.

This will probably become one of my new favorite spots when it comes to wings. They have game day specials on wings for an unbelievable price. $35 unlimited wings for 2 hours you can't beat that. The service was great and very fast. If you're a Chicago sports fan it's plenty of memorabilia of all kinds of teams in our city. Atmosphere like a bar when you first walk in but as you get inside it's plenty of dining on both floors and lots of TVs to enjoy the games on. Lastly the wings were good but I would like to try more flavors so I'll be back soon. This will more than likely be my first stop for wing's especially on game days.

Great place to watch sports. Wings are great (they are breaded). Only issue was we had reservations but were placed at the bar when we arrived.

Great place to eat lunch. Lots of selection to choose from. I ordered the Kale and Squash salad. I absolutely love it. It's a nice big bowl of greens, squash, fried onion, and I added steak and pecans. It's tossed in a very good dressing. Love it. The place is big, clean and roomy, with big open windows. Also there is outdoor patio seating with a nice large screen tv. There are a lot of TVs inside as well. The waiter is very nice, friendly, and attentive. Never had to ask him to fill my water.

A spacious restaurant with ample seating for dining in. One of the best places for delicious chicken wings in Chicago. Great customer service. Parking is not so great, though; and it's tight as the surrounding restaurants' patrons are trying to find parking as well.
