It looks like a tiki bar, and it may drink like a tiki bar, but fundamentally this is a sports bar. It's a huge space obviously meant to accommodate the crowds going to and leaving from the Cubs games just up N Clark Street at Wrigley Field. Jamie W. and I came here and sat at the large wraparound bar. We kept seeing waves of Cubs fans in full gear coming in and downing 312 brewskis. The cocktail menu looked impressive with over thirty tiki cocktails and 19 identified in the signature category. We were impressed with the multiple slushie machines in operation on the other side of the counter. We decided on ordering the $14 Pina Coladas, one with strawberry syrup streaking though it (photo: https://yelp.to/0ddIbmmdte). They were quite big and quite sweet tasting, nothing that remarkable.Augmented by an open patio with a huge wooden island goddess, the rest of the space was properly tropical as they have a full food menu starting with smashburgers, chicken wings, and pupu platters. They even offer something called a Boozy Brunch where they serve chocolate coconut waffles and a mimosa tower consisting of five mimosas. Yep, it was that kind of a convivial place. The Cubs fans sure seemed happy.COCKTAILS - 3 stars...big and slushyAMBIANCE - 4 stars...they pulled out the stops with the tropical decorSERVICE - 3.5 stars...friendly enoughTOTAL - 3 stars...if you happen to be in WrigleyvilleRELATED - Exploring Chicago? What a fun place the Bamboo Club was to visit on a warm day. Our group of 5 gals were lucky enough to get Cabana seating with the hanging basket chairs. On a sunny day and seeing people in the narrow pool, it almost felt like we were away on a tropical trip somewhere. It is a very relaxed and festive atmosphere. We shared a Pupu Platter, and it was more than enough food for 5 people. The chicken was a little dry and overcooked, but everything else was tasty and came with a good selection of sauces. Our server, Alex, was and it was a very busy day after a Cubs game. The tropical cocktails are strong but tasted fresh and fruity. I would come back with a group again as we had a great time.

Been here a dozen times, have yet to had a bad experience. I dont understand the bad reviews. Service is great, food is bomb, prices are fair. This place goes all out for the holidays, haunted house for Halloween, the roof is decked out for Christmas, it's a blast. Close to Wrigley.Always bring my out-of-towners here. One of the coolest atmosphere you will find!

Cool place but I ordered coconut shrimp and it was five shrimp for $17. Definitely not worth it. Really disappointing.

We came here to kill some time and attempt to cool off with the hot weather. We were successful in 1 area. The patio outside was very spacious but definitely needed some fans. Extra points for the fun decor they've added to this place. Our service was attentive and we enjoyed our fun (and strong) shareable cocktail.

We popped in here one cold February Friday afternoon for a quick drink and enjoyed the chill tropical vibes. We had the place, gargantuan as it is, practically to ourselves, given the early afternoon hour. That suited us just fine, as we could pretend we were on a distant, deserted beach town evading Johnny Law. Clearly this joint gets rocking later in the evening The decor is top notch tiki, and checks off all the boxes: the drinks were strong, the selection long, the glassware elaborate, the garnishes aplenty. There were also sharks in the big screen. Tiki fans will love it.

Bamboo Club is such a fun summer spot to grab drinks and get some food in Wrigleyville. Perfect place for a girls night or Bach trip - They have cute swings to sit in, a decorative pool, tiki drinks, and shareable drinks. Overall the drink presentation, greenery of the place, and decor transports you to a tropical island. The service was very friendly and the music was great. The place is pretty big so great for larger groups - Nice for celebrations, happy hours, or pre/post Cubs Game drinks!

Bamboo club has good happy hour specials so I came with a friend on a Friday around 5. Having seen this place before absolutely busy and the marketing on social media appearing pretty clubby, I was surprised that it was completely dead! Like not a soul other than us in the entire space (granted it was January). The servers were nice but also kind of hard to track down which is surprising being that it was empty. I can imagine the vibes being better in a full bar, but it definitely felt more grungy when it was empty. I would recommend going much much later for a late night vibe if you are planning to experience more of the bamboo club atmosphere. Overall though the margs were pretty good and so were the fries! Very affordable happy hour spot.

Good vibes on St. Patty's day -- they were playing solid music and it wasn't too crowded, lines to get in weren't too long and the drinks were well-priced. This bar is a fun spot next to a lot of the popular ones in the Wrigleyville area, would recommend. I can't speak too much for the non-holiday time, but it was fun!

Swung by Bamboo Club for a drink and a snack to share with a girlfriend and loved the vibes! It was my first time at Bamboo Club and I loved their Halloween decor! We had to try their Halloween cocktails and they were pretty good! We also had their Spicy Thai Tenders which were good but not spicy at all. We sat by the bar and the bartenders were sweet and helpful! Will definitely have to drop by again for their Halloween event!
