Celeste B. "This cute little spot is hiding behind a gigantic Chinese restaurant. My friend mentioned this spot to me and we decided to give it a try over the weekend. The menu had plenty of options including multiple ways to cook Saba (mackerel). They had multiple soups and stews along with the usual bulgogi. I wanted to try everything but I ended up settling for the octopus, grilled mackerel, bulgogi, tofu stew and steamed dumpling. Everything was delicious! The service was good and they constantly stopped by to check on us. I was even more pleased to find out that even though we ordered all of that, the check ended up being only $92 for 3 people including tip! Such a deal for some legit Korean food."

The dogs comes super crunchy and piping hot. Free parking so there is no excuses not to come and try."

Paul L. "Ok. Where do I start?Sushi fanatic here and my biggest complaint about Chicago has been the lack of real sushi options. Lived in LA where my go-to's were Sasabune and Nozawa and in New York where I loved Yoshino. So real deal Holyfield type fish.Imagine my surprise when I found this hidden gem in Lincolnshire. Yes, there are some hidden suburban trappings (slightly loud music, strip mall location) but THIS is the best, freshest nigiri in all of Chicago. We had the chutoro, Ikura (salmon roe), fluke, yellowtail, uni (fresher than fresh that night), and a few other items. All were very good but the nigiri really stole the night. As well, served with fresh wasabi, not horseradish.Total tab was ~$260 for two of us (two bottles of sake as well - Nigori and Junmai). If you compare that to a typical suburban sushi restaurant, that may seem pricey but compared to the other restaurants I mentioned (and Good Sushi's nigiri stands toe to toe), it's a bargain. We will be back, likely weekly. It's in our rotation and if you're into real sushi, I couldn't recommend anymore. Go. Just go. Sit at the bar, order a kirin. Order a junmai and let the itamae do his thing. You won't be sorry."

I loved the customer service and friendly staff. They love what they do and seeing the customers enjoy their meals. I ordered a 5 piece, two sauce, wing meal. I opted in for the sassy and Korean bbq. The cashier was so generous and allowed me to get a sac sac for free just to see how I enjoyed it. My personal favorite sauce of the wings were the Korean bbq as it's spicy and sticky similar to a glaze. And it has a kick of spice/ heat which is needed. You don't get bored with this sauce. The wings were large but super crispy. I'll be back for sure!"

Very cozy vibes inside, reminds me of how restaurants feel in Korea. Server was friendly and lots of Korean families dining on a Friday, always a good sign. Food: their specialty is broth/soup based broths Korean entrees. We tried the galbitang (beef rib dish) and it was delicious. Homey, rich, kinda reminds me of the scene from ratatouille where Anton ego is taken back to his childhood. The prices and portions are great too! I feel like this place will become a regular establishment in my routine. Service: friendly no frills service! No complaints. Worth it factor: 10/10!"

Our servers who took care of us were all really sweet and friendly! Service was great... we literally could not have asked for better service. As far as the food goes, I would rate it a solid 4/5. I think they have an okay selection, although we were hoping they had tongue. I also wish that they had two or three separate menus instead of one like other AYCE KBBQ do. Typically I'm more familiar with the AYCE places that offer a cheaper Menu A with less items. This one is $33 for AYCE KBBQ, which is a little bit on the higher end if you ask me, but there's not a lot of decent KBBQ options in the Chicagoland in general, so I think they get away with higher menu prices. It is what it is. Even a Soju bottle is $13 or $14 here which is pretty steep. Hmart prices anyone? Either way, given that we were provided very good service, good portions, and a decent variety of meats, I think this place is worthy of a solid 5 stars! I would 100% come back soon, although I live in the city which makes this place way too far out of my frequented areas, lol!"

Since it's not available at many Korean restaurant when I saw on Yelp that they had it here I had to try it. I had the small bowl and as others mentioned it was full of meaty bones. It also came with six (?) banchan and a bowl of rice. The soup was very flavorful with a little heat and I'd get it again.Other reviews complained about the service but I thought it was fine. I think there's some cultural differences that people mistake for rudeness such as having to ask for the check."

I already had some Kalbi marinating at home so I figured I do something that isn't too Korean to save those flavors for later. I saw that they had a beef udon soup on the menu so I figured that would be nice and comforting. They also have a bunch of fried food on the shelf next to the counter and they will actually heat it up for you. The fried squid was warm and crunchy but the squid was tender. The soup was very filling. It was a lot of food considering you also get an assortment of pickles with it. While waiting for the food, I did notice that they have pho available so I'll definitely have to try that for next time."

This time there were no more physical menus and they did not take our order. We submitted our order via Chowbus. Another difference- the banchan included kim chi. And finally, we also got tea instead of water when we sat down. I would have preferred water, but it looks like like they may charge for water. The kimchi ramen jeongol was very good, though not as amazing as I had hoped. I think i set my expectations too high after my last visit. It was hard to get a good understanding of the flavor because there was very little broth. Though we may have left the heat on too high because all the broth was gone by the end and we were scraping the food from the bowl. The japchae was excellent, my favorite dish of the night! And we surprisingly really liked the cheese pancake. I think they use American cheese. We liked the cheese pancake better than the seafood pancake we had last time. Overall my favorite dishes here have been the dolsot bibimbap, bulgogi, and japchae. We'll definitely come back again soon to try more of their dishes."

No wait (as we were the only customers). However, value and service were both below average. Specifically, counter guy missed one of the items we ordered and did not add it to our order because they misunderstood us asking about the ingredients of one of the entrees as canceling it. We didn't realize it until 10 minutes after our food was brought to the table. I went back and asked about the fried rice dish and they said "Oh, I thought you cancelled it." SMH. Sigh. OK. Never mind.Something annoying you should be aware of: they charge you a 3% "convenience fee" if you pay by credit card. This just screams greedy/shady IMO. The bill was just over $48 for two orders of wings, 1 order of fries and two canned beverages from the refrigerator. Guy tried to charge us for a bottle of Aquafina because my son asked for water. They have a big container of in the form of a self-service water cooler - yet he assumed Aquafina bottled water. No. So you get a teeny little plastic cup (think Dixie Cup) to use with the self serve jug. SMH. But the "convenience" fee? If anything it's more convenient for the restaurant to not have handle cash - yet they punish the customer for paying by credit card. Sorry, but that's wrong. I've not seen this at any other restaurants. IMO, it's nothing more than opportunistic scam. Unfortunately that was the most memorable thing about the visit. I don't envision going back."

I got the bulgogi bento box and a shrimp taco... How can you not when you see that there's 700+ Yelp reviews alone that mention it?! The taco was incredible and I'd definitely order it again. It was a lightly breaded, juicy shrimp that had an incredible sauce (a sweet chili - not spicy) and delicious slaw. The bento box was great too and was presented super well. Mainly because of the food. The prices are about average for good quality sushi, so not enough to be bank breaking to get some great rolls. At lunch it was pretty quiet inside. It may have to do with the location. This isn't the easiest to see or get to. At lunch they have a bit better prices. It's about $4.50 for most rolls. Got ourselves a few of the vegetarian ones. The Avocado was filled with creamy and fresh avocado, and the Sweet Potato was filled with big soft chunks of the tubers. Good place to get great quality of sushi and still not pay a crazy amount. While their meat options are bit limited, I think for $28 AYCE, it was a solid choice. We really liked the pork belly and short ribs from here.
