I forgot my phone or otherwise I would have taken a picture of possibly the most delicious omelette I have ever eaten. This is a small diner operated by one person and service and quality was surprising given this is a one-woman operation! The bulgogi and kimchi omelette with hash browns was to die for. The combination of textures and flavors was a revelation and the omelette was absolutely perfectly cooked. I regret not knowing about this place while I was living in Chicago.

This place is run by the sweetest woman who cooks and serves you. Had a delicious Korean pancake here that was huge! Prices are incredibly affordable. Great little neighborhood spot that transports you back in time with its classic diner/dining hall-esque furniture and framed oil paintings on the walls.

Happy I got to experience this little gem before leaving Roger's Park Morse stop area. This breakfast/brunch place is for the locals as its only open from Thursday-Sunday from 10am-3pm. The shop only has capacity of 15-20 people max which makes sense since it is a one woman show. I got her at a lunch rush so I brought my laptop while I waited for my to go order. She was very sweet to her locals (all above 50). She was a bit snippy with me when I ordered but I didn't mind since I understood she was a bit stressed. I got all this food for under $30. I was very happy with the proportions & taste. I was satisfied knowing it was made by a boss bitch old lady.

We had lunch at Susie's today. This is a wonderful place to eat honestly good food and meet a truly nice person named Susie. Between the four of us we had bibimbap with bulgogi, a Korean pancake, a vegetable fried rice, and an octagawa. All of our dishes were delicious and generously sized. The homemade kimchee was very good and the gochujang that Susie makes was fabulous. This is a small place and Susie is the only person cooking and serving, so, don't be in a hurry. Sit back and let yourself be served a delicious meal by a truly nice and genteel person. Just be sure to go and enjoy before this treasure is gone. Cash only.

Honestly, this place just made my heart happy. My friend and I shared the japche dish and the bulgogi and kimchi omelette. both were delicious, especially the omelette. Susie runs a one woman shop, and her grit doesn't go unnoticed.

Cute little 6-10 top breakfast joint. The kinda spot that feels like it's stuck in the mid fifties/sixties. The older woman who was working (presumably Susie) was doing the most! And all by herself, no other assistance in house. You get water, but I'm not sure what other beverages were offered. I didn't know if the fridges in the middle of the space were self serve, so we just sat and listened to the classical music and waited for her to take our order.I ordered the bulgogi and kimchi omelette, asked for no cheeese, and the hash browns well done. She rolled her eyes, and 15 minutes later I got my dish. Hash browns were crispy, but the eggs were positively cheesed, so I couldn't enjoy it. The beef that wasn't covered was well seasoned, though! My partner had her order perfectly made and loved it.We waited maybe too long for her to check back in at the end, my partner stood by the counter for maybe 5 minutes and was completely ignored (we were the only ones in the spot by then) so we left some money and thanked her. I'd go back.

I hadn't been to Susie's for a while but went last weekend. Still terrific. A tiny place playing chill classical music and orchestrated by the phenomenal Susie. One must be patient here, this is not a drop in and dine spot. Susie is the whole show and takes and delivers the orders in the order received. The upside to the wait--everything is prepared on the spot and is so delicious. My wife had the terrific kimchee bulgogi omelet, my kids went with the tofu omelet, and I had the bulgogi bib im bop. All great. Susie is the hardest working person in the restaurant biz and she delivers in a big way with a smile to those who show a little patience. As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait and that sums up the great dining experience at Susie's. I won't wait two more years before going back. A true treasure.
