You can't go wrong with anything here. Unfortunately the original owner sold the place and the new owner has taken away indoor dining. The menu seems to be altered as well. I've yet to try with the new owner so this review was for the kind and wonderful original owner. What a kind and beautiful soul she was for me and my family. I hope the place retains its stellar reviews moving forward!

Sopped by for lunch, I got the spicy squid for dine-in and chicken kangpunggi to go. Inside is simple design, dining option is very limited - one table for two ppl and 1 table for four ppl, that's it. Looks like most of the foods are carried out.The food came out quickly, for $15 for the spicy squid, the portion size was decent, would have loved it if there was more, but it hit the spot and filled you up. It was perfectly seasoned and had a bit of kick to the dish. I also tried the chicken kangpunggi and it was delicious, granted, I wish it had more sour taste to.The owner (I think) checked-in on you, asked if you needed anything else, etc. Definitely a hidden gem, will need to try their spicy pork, jjajangmyung and other items, but if their spicy squid was this good, then I have feeling others will be as well. Until then.

It's simple good food at a decent price. As their name states, they do takeaway well, but you can also dine there. Their jajangmyun was really good and so was their bibimbap. It's a good option when you just want to take home Korean food instead of dining out. Will be coming here again

Glad to see it re-open with friendly owners. Give them a try for your favorite Peking noodles/jajamyung or chicken wings (boneless is a pretty obvious choice).

If you like Korean food then don't go here. Seriously it's one of my favorite places to get lunch or dinner for the family. Korean food has become so popular and theirs is so good that they are often overbooked for carry out and delivery. When that happens they have to turn off all food delivery services and dine in because they can't keep up with the orders already placed for the day. They make things more natural and healthy than most, using fruit as a sweetener rather than sugar. Some foods this comes through more than others like the chicken donkasu. The chicken is crispy and golden brown yet juicy and tender inside. It comes with a brown gravy that's sweetened with fruit providing a nice acid balance and a sweetness that will keep you guessing what fruit it is (I'll never tell but you can figure it out). Everything is like stepping into a small town restaurant in Korea, the decor is simple and plain but you go there to eat not admire the decorators work. If you want Jjangmyeon (black bean sauce and noodles) or any traditional Jjigae or soup you won't be disappointed. Chicken and pork bulgogi are cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice giving it the perfect flavor. They make and sell homemade Kimchi and radish Kimchi. We make our own at home but still get jars when we go here because it's so good. One area some will be disappointed is no alcohol is served. So any hopes for Makgeolli or Soju with your meal can only be fulfilled by getting your meal to go and eating at home. If there's a better place for homemade Korean dishes within an hour I haven't found it yet so for now this is our go to place for anything Korean except BBQ. Last and most important thing to remember is all good is made fresh when ordered. So wait time might be a bit longer than many American restaurants but I assure you it's well worth waiting for.

Good Service, only two tables inside but we called and he kept one for us which was very nice of him.Only one person cooking, taking orders and serving food but it was enough. The food was delicious, we got some egg rolls and we loved them. We also got jyanjyangmyong that was good too. Looking forward to visito again.

Delicious and will not break the bank. They had a change in ownership so I hope they continue to maintain the quality of the food that we all know and love.

I drive 40 minutes out of my way to get the jajangmyeon here! It's so good and the place is always clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming, even when they are clearly swamped! The food always tastes fresh and the portions are very fair! Especially for the cost! I can't wait to try more on the menu!

Found this hole in the wall in Schaumburg. Food was great. Huge portions. Reasonably priced. It felt like we were guests of honor, the only guests, at a K mom's home. Service was great. Our server explained everything that was on the menu. The chef himself delivered our food. We highly recommend this place.

This place is legit. The price is affordable, customer service is good, and food is authentic. The portion sizes are also good. Only a couple tables for dine in but would recommend over other non bbq korean restaurants especially if you are getting to go.
