"I came here for the first time on a Sunday. Our group sat on the patio. It was perfect weather for it, finally patio season since it cooled down. The patio was massive and had a fire pit, plus tvs with the games on. I didn't know anything about this place, so my friends filled me in. The restaurant started in Colorado and has expanded. There are several locations now in Houston. The owner based the restaurant off of his own home in Colorado. Including his wrap around porch that he decided to include with the restaurant. It's nice because dogs and humans are welcome here.Service - Our server, Regan, was friendly and chatty and offered suggestions.Drinks - I ordered the Mango Chili Rita, which had Repasado TQ, yum. My friends enjoyed their drinks as well, the NY Sour and Cucumber Mint. Food - I'm in love with cheese, so I ordered the grilled 5 cheese. And it was yummy. They even put shreaded melted cheese on the outside of the bread this was a nice touch. The sandwich had great texture with a nice crunch. Inside of the bread was loaded with multi cheeses, and it was the gooey consistency that I want. The spread also came with this aoli sauce, which I liked. I also ordered the onion rings instead of fries, and these were great. Would recommend this meal for the cheese lovers."
"I visited Grace's for brunch this Saturday. Located on Kirby you have your turn in the side street to park as their lot is behind the restaurant and is valet only. There isn't a charge just tip. We were sat immediately even tho I saw many people that it appeared they were waiting on tables. My wife and I both ordered frozen mimosas which were delicious. She had steak and eggs and I had American breakfast: eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and cheese grits on the side with coffee. The food was plentiful and very good. Service was excellent with Casey Jo. Definitely will return."

"This remains the spot I take people who haven't been to Houston, to really show them what we're working with. There is nothing in the world like the Campechana de Mariscos. This is a Mexican-style seafood cocktail with the biggest savings of fresh fish, crab and avocado. The oyster selection has diversified in the past years and they offer oysters from all different Gulf locations, each with their own style and size."
"Thus was my second time here in a year and the food always hits! Can't go wrong with what you order. The ambiance is always a vibe with the music and decor. They do have hookah which is through a third party but they be trying to rip you off. They gave us two little vocals on a fresh hookah and by the time they came around with new vocals our hookah was out smh. Service is truly good. I will keep coming back."
"Ya'll really let me go this long not having Mia's Table! What a shame! I mostly blame myself because they have six locations throughout Houston and should have stopped in sooner. Part of the Carrabbas family, I should have known this place was going to be amazing. This location in the Woodlands area was where we stopped on our way back from Dallas. This place is very spacious, with plenty of seating inside and out. The staff was very friendly from the person who took our order, to the bussers walking around. They even offered us to go cups when they took away our plates. We kind of had snacks and light meals throughout the day so I was ready to eat. They do counter service here where you order you food at the counter, get a buzzer and seat yourself. We came at the tail end of dinner so no lines and quick service. I was starving and saw they have chicken fried steak on the menu with two sides. I'm a chicken fried steak snob so my expectations were high. Their more upscale sister restaurant Grace's which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants in town has a dish with jalapeno cream gravy. It is hands down one of the best gravies you will have. I saw they have that here which made my dinner choice a no brainer. Without much thought, I got sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Should have got a veggie but YOLO. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. There was no gravy on the potatoes but it did not need it. It was delicious plain and you could tell they were made from scratch. The mac was creamy and gooey, just like I like it. Very good flavor as well. The star of the show was the chicken fried steak though. My first bite was heavenly. You could tell they tenderized it just right, seasoned the meat and the breading, and cooked it to perfection. It was probably one of the better chicken fried steaks I have had. The gravy was just like I remembered it at Grace's. This meal was absolute perfection. The portion size was huge and I only made it half way before throwing in the towel. I ate it the next day and it tasted great reheated as well.I am a huge fan of this place now and have already praised this place to my friends and family. They have locations throughout Houston and I will check them out when I am close to one for sure!"
"Back camping at Huntsville SP again, and remembered how much we enjoyed this place- so, here we are!Perfectly timed for Sunday lunch, we got our name on the list then stepped over to the Farmhouse Coffee and Cream for a decaf flat white (with coconut- SUPER tasty!). Made the ~20 minute wait back over here at the restaurant seem quick.Ordering up a fav from last time (coconut shrimp) and trying a new app (southwest egg rolls); the cold chicken salad for me, hubs is having grilled chicken salad. (Which Colton, our server, took a few minutes to explain- it's not the normal bed of lettuce topped by a grilled chicken breast, but a Mexican style warm salad with zucchini and onions, the chicken sautéed in spicy sauce. Appreciated the heads up, and hubby is game for trying it) and we'll split a wedge salad between us. We're trying to keep it low carb and semi healthy b/c we know there's probably going to be pie (or sweet treats from the coffee shop) in our future. YUM!The coconut shrimp and orange marmalade is still a tropical delight- such an incredible combination. The southwest egg rolls are predictable, but tasty. Not a huge fan of the wedge salad, it's just a simple blue cheese dressing, but I will give kudos to the fact that they split the salad before bringing it out since hubby and I said we were sharing it. A very GENEROUS scoop of cold chicken salad for my entrée. Needed a little salt and pepper to bring the flavor out, but I'm impressed with how much shredded chicken it is (most places give you a larger ratio of the filler veggies (onions, celery, egg, etc) but the chicken really is the star here!)Hubby's salad came in a fried taco shell, with plenty of filling. Very tasty, spicy but no heat. He'd have it again (and mentioned again how glad we are for the heads up that it's not a lettuce based salad!)Hubs is having a (HUGE) slice of coconut cream pie; I'm opting for a few sweet treats out of the bakery case at the coffee shop. I'm not a big meringue fan, so he's given me little bits of just the coconut cream... and once again, the crust on these pies is cookie-delicious to-die-for!Another great meal, with great service (thanks Colton!) and we'll certainly be back again! --------- Y'all the team in here today is HUSTLING- seriously, most of the crew is moving at warp speed. Except for this one guy (we'll call him Hungover Hank). I kid you not, if it weren't for the front counter holding him up, I'm pretty sure he'd be on the floor asleep. If (and I mean IF) he's helping out to bus and clear a table, he's moved at a snail's pace in comparison to his colleagues) And normally, I wouldn't mention this in my reviews, but if the manager reads these, they need to know this kiddo at the host stand is a major turn-off when you first get here and he can barely stand up, open his eyes to greet you and acknowledge your presence. The rest of the team? FANTASTIC. But this guy? Hungover Hank needs a nap. ---------Follow our camping adventures at: www.tent-on-wheels.blogspot.com"
"A friend and I decided to try E&G for brunch (FYI, it's only served on the weekends). Zack was our waiter and he was pretty good. I asked for recommendations and had questions about the menu which he politely answered. He checked on us appropriately and for all of that, I tipped him handsomely. For drinks, my friend ordered a coffee, they don't have any fancy offerings there, and I went with the coffee float. It could stand to be a dollar or two cheaper for what it is. It needed more ice cream for sure with an $8 price tag, seemed more like one scoop instead of two. Now the food, we started with an app of the samosas. Now the outside was flaky, inside more mushy than I like but overall, they tasted really well. For entree, my friend ordered the roasted shakshouka which I still don't know what is inside it but she said it was good. Came with super delicious looking bacon and bfast potatoes. I decided to treat myself with the 3 lamb chops. For $44, they know they should make that an even 4 chops! The first bite was so damn delicious. It had the right amount of charring and was tender. The other two were nicely charred but the meat started feeling a bit tough. I still was eating at the bone to get my money's worth, I do not give one single solitary (you fill in the blank). Even Zack commented on it! I was like dude if you saw alladat, why you ain't sneak me another chop! The lamb chops were accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and 3 spears of asparagus. That should have been a bigger serving, I would have asked for more but didn't think at the time."
"Truly amazing southern food! Came on a Thursday during lunch time and they had a nice lunch crowd but we were able to get a table immediately. This place was a lot more spacious than I imagined and actually pretty nice inside. I was there with coworkers but definitely could see this being a cute date spot!To start off we ordered the creamed corn empanadas. WOW! These were super tasty and cheesy. I could have just kept eating these as my meal haha. For my entree I ordered the chicken fried chicken which came on a bed of mashed potatoes and covered in gravy. This plate was massive! I probably ate a little less than half before I had to tap out. However, this was hands down the best chicken fried chicken I have ever had. It was the perfect thickness, crunchy, juicy, and SO FLAVORFUL! I really enjoyed this dish and urge everyone there to try it. They really know what they are doing with their chicken here. I was stuffed beyond belief after, but could not leave without getting some of their banana pudding to go. I ended up eating it later that night and it was amazing. I had to have my friend take it away so I would not eat the entire tub in one sitting.Overall I thought the food was great, but I took a star off for service. Our waiter barely came around so it made the whole meal take about 2 hours. It was a slow day at work and we were not rushing so it was fine, but on a normal workday I'd prefer faster service for lunch time."
"Love this place so much and was so sad to find out that the beloved Black Labrador I frequented during college had closed, after 33 years ;(Driving down aimlessly on Montrose Blvd, I was heading toward Allen Parkway and remembered, BARNABYS Cafe on Fairview. The Original. Was super happy and surprised with all the locations now opened: The Heights, River Oaks, Museum, Midtown, Woodway - jeez, they keep on going! Was pretty hangry for a salad, as my body was craving roughage. And the super nice waiter gave me the rundown on the ingredients on the 8 delicious salads on the menu where I picked the Chinese Chicken Salad $16, there is a smaller salad size available for $2 less, however, you want to order the large one. When it arrived at the table, people gawked as it was so ginormous...and delicious filled with thin sliced chicken, carrots, cilantro, crunchy cabbage, wonton crisps, and topped with a super thick peanut sauce. I tried my best to eat my way through it, however, I was beat by this salad! Taking it home, I enjoyed TWO more meals as the nice waiter was kind enough to provide me with extra peanut dressing. Great food, great service, great location with small private parking lot. Inside tables have plastic see through partitions for extra safety.Thank you! I look forward to coming back and eating my way through this menu, too!"
"Ambiance on a Sunday Afternoon is very slow and chill. The music is very hipster. We sat at the bar which smelled very sanitized. I can say the food is made to order fresh.. however most of the menu items were unavailable or sold out. The Bryant was helpful in helping us decide what to order. My party of 2 enjoyed NON GRILLED CHEESE ITEMS, ie the Twisted Burger and Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich"
"Recently tried TF after an event in The Woodlands and am not disappointed! Easy to find in the middle of Market Street - not too off the beaten path. A great little spot for healthier choices - including some vegan options! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal - although I think my boys would have preferred a bit more of a selection of meals for kids (the ONLY reason for the lack of fifth star). The hummus was to die for, the strawberry cake was delectable, and I had a green drink that was delicious! Service was a bit slow and the seating was quite packed, but overall a pretty good experience for a Saturday evening nonetheless! Our waiter was top-notch and super courteous. Definitely recommend!"
"Great job Coy! Food was really good. Even late service was attentive, food timely and perfectly cooked. Restaurant was spacious and clean. All staff very friendly. They have a sister restaurant next door, we will definitely be back to try it."

When you get here...ask for Hannah! She's absolutely amazing! She was kind, patient, walked us through the menu since it was our first time and definitely made us feel welcome. At first glance (just passing by) I thought this place just had a variety of hotdogs!! LOL! Wtf did I think that?! They have such an extensive menu. They offer all sorts of good stuff! Goat Cheese Pepper Jelly, 5 Cheese Grilled cheese sandwich, bowls (chicken, ahi, beef!), kids menu, so so many appetizers, soups, you name it! My husband and have agreed that we'd definitely be putting this into our rotation of places to eat it with the twins. My favorite part about this place is of course the food but the beer!! WOW!!! You've got to visit this place if you're in the area. Easily a 5/5!!

A friend who's born and raised in Houston highly recommended Grace's, so we came here for Sunday dinner after church. And am I so glad that we did! There's nothing like foodies gathering over a phenomenal meal. I had cajun stuffed chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and cornbread dressing. I also tried their asparagus, which were perfectly seared with just a hint of grill flavor, a crisp bite - not too soggy/wilted at all. It was a bit of an upscale environment, which we didn't mind; we were already dressed for it anyway. The service was excellent, too. I enjoyed my dining experience and would come again without hesitation!

Love this restaurant, felt like a diner inside! Ordered the coastal fried platter and crabmeat fettuccine. The fettuccine was amazing, so creamy and had a lot of crab! The fried platter was great as well, lots of variety and plenty to share for 4-5 people.

Coming from Charleston, SC, a huge culinary city, I highly recommend this place. Everything was delicious but the customer service was superb. The manager made an effort to engage with every single table. The waitress Jasmine was so accommodating and helpful. I would definitely go back!

We stopped by Mia's for dinner on our way back from Dallas. I've eaten at a couple of locations around town, but this was my first time eating at this location. I've never had a bad experience at Mia's and I'm happy to say that this experience was no different.I had the Green Goddess with Salmon Salad and it was phenomenal! It had the perfect amount of dressing and the avocado slices were excellent. The salad was relatively simple, but so tasty and refreshing! Amazingly, the bowl was super cold for the salad, but the salmon filet was hot with crispy edges which I love. The portion of salmon was very generous too. I had plenty of salad for lunch the following day.All of the staff that we interacted with were very friendly. The staff members who were busing tables were so nice! One of them offered to get us to go cups when they took away our plates which was so appreciated! Mia's Table is very consistent with the quality of their food and service. Mia's is a great option for fast casual, down home Southern cooking. I'm so glad they have multiple locations around town so I can get my fix closer to home.

If you want southern comfort food in Huntsville, this is the place for you! I ordered chicken fried chicken, and it was delicious. The service was slow since I came during peak hours, which was understandable. It does have that farmhouse feel to it once you enter the establishment.

Came here with the hubby for a causal meal! We got the wagyu patty melt and the lamb chops! Both were really good! The wagyu patty melt had really good flavor. I loved the grilled onions and mushrooms on it. The lamb chops were nice as well. Cooked perfectly when we asked for medium doneness. The service was good. Would recommend for a good casual meal or family friendly meal!

Delivery. The food came hot since I live so close. My cousin surprised me with bbq not knowing that I don't love it. (She lives in FL)Order: Two meats - brisket and sausage; the brisket was delicious, a good ratio of fat to meat, tender, flavorful but not overdone; the sausage was okSides: mac and cheese and onion rings; the mac and cheese was on point, not overly done, more white cheddar style than the deep cheddar, not salty - one of my gripes with Mac and cheese- creamy; onion rings were not battered the way I like, one bite and the whole thing crumbles so you are eating onion and batter separatelyI'm def not opposed to trying again esp bc of all the rave I've heard about their other locations.

"We ordered to go some tamales and wipe.By the time we got back to the office and realized the sope which was described on their website as blue corn tortilla was not as it got described. And it's quite small for $5.50The tamales now are 1/2 of the size which was used to be and prices got increase. The food was not as good as it used to be. I don't think I would be back anymore"
"Got the swamp baked potato. It was like an etouffee, had sausage, chicken, shrimp, and crawfish. Portion was huge and it was very hearty. It was quite salty though and wish there was more flavor in it."
"Holy moly! The key lime and banana pudding pies are FANTASTIC! Of course everything I have ever ordered is tasty! Great service too. Run. Don't walk. Go eat there and support a local business!"
"Ate here before the Taylor Swift concert on Sunday and had a feast. Small parking lot but we were able to easily get a spot. It's a fun vibe inside with animal friendly artwork and nice plants as decor. We went during their brunch hours but I was happy to find we didn't have to order brunch. You order at the counter, they give you a number and bring your food out to you. The service was good. All of the employees were kind and helpful. My friend and I shared the lasagna, buffalo wings with fries, asada tacos, Mac n cheese and fried okra. Everything was delicious. My friend's fave was the tacos. I'm not really sure which of the plates was my fave. They were all pretty good to me. At the end of our meal, I also got a scoop of their soft serve ice cream and added chocolate and strawberry syrup and cookie crumbles to it. It was a nice way to end the meal. It was 25 cents to add each syrup, 75 to add the cookie crumbles. The only thing that was a little weird was the inconsistency of the silverware. My friend got a fork and knife in her silverware roll. I only got a fork and had to go to the counter to ask for a knife as well. They had to look through a few rolls of silverware to get me one with a knife so the silverware seemed to be a little disorganized. However, the young man at the register quickly got me what I needed. I also have to add, it was freezing in there for about the first 20 minutes that I was there, and it seemed like you were under an air vent pretty much anywhere you sat. Luckily they turned the air off for much of my visit but I did notice they cut it back on shortly before I left and as I was eating my ice cream so I was an icicle when I walked out of there. This would be a great place to escape the htown summer heat though. Overall great food, service and ambiance. I look forward to returning."
"For all you Houstonians who remember The Mason Jar, it is now Goode Company Kitchen & Cantina. Not every restaurant can be a 5 star experience, but this one was very close. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but I can't give a full 5. The space has been beautifully remodeled with lots of windows and a nice Mexican flare. There is a decent sized bar at the entrance with several tables lining the outer perimeter. The main dining area, separate from the bar, has table and booth seating options. The restaurant itself is not very big, but they do a good job with the space available. It is a shotgun style structure, so you can see the entire dining area from any table. First off, the service was fantastic! We were well taken care of and never had empty drinks, chips or salsa. Margaritas, chips and salsa are so important for a good Mexican restaurant. This is why I am only giving 4 stars. I wasn't "wowed" on these items. The "Damn Good Margarita" was more sweet tasting than tart and didn't seem to be very strong. They serve them in a regular pint style glass. I was surprised it wasn't in a Mexican style glass. The chips are thin and crispy with a light coating of salt. The red salsa is warm and smokey with a slight sweet undertone. It's not the best salsa I've ever had, but it was better after I added a little salt to the dip cup. GCK&C has verde salsa upon request. Not a fan of this salsa since I prefer the creamier green salsa, but others at the table enjoyed it. For my meal, I ordered the No. 2 plate. It comes with one Enchilada, one taco al carbon, one tamale, rice and beans. I was able to substitute the tamale for a crispy ground beef taco. I wanted a plain cheese enchilada, but I was served a chicken enchilada instead. I did not send it back because I think the confusion was on my part. I didn't communicate well at the start of my order. It was good, but it wasn't what I originally wanted. Again, not our servers fault. The crispy beef taco was in a delicious shell. It was the best crispy taco I have ever eaten. Many times, those type items get soggy, but this one stayed crispy and it was filled with a good amount of tasty toppings. The beef fajita taco al carbon was seasoned well and rolled in a flour tortilla. I only had one bite since I was full, so I get to enjoy leftovers for lunch today. The rice and beans were okay. My rice had some hard pieces in it and the beans didn't have much flavor. I don't typically eat more than one bite of beans, so it wasn't a huge deal personally. I was more disappointed in the rice. All in all, I would go back to GCK&C. I loved the atmosphere, the music they played, the service, the portions are large and the meal itself was good. I know how to doctor the salsa to fit my tastebuds and next time I would get a higher quality margarita."
"I have stopped by Magnolia Cajun Comfort for dinner twice, both on weekdays. Located in old Pearland, this Cajun restaurant is in a shopping center so parking won't be a problem. A couple of things stand out to me about Magnolia. First off, their chicken fried chicken is to die for! It's a generous portion, the chicken is fried just right with a crispy exterior, and the andouille gravy gives things a little kick without being overpowering. Along with the mashed potatoes, it's a five-star dish. As are the fried green tomatoes. Some of, if not the best, I've ever had! A classic Southern dish that is done to perfection here. On my second visit, I had their bone-in pork chop which also comes with mashed potatoes and a crawfish pie. The pork chop was about average as it was a mediocre cut of pork. Not thick or juicy enough. The crawfish pie was solid but I'd choose the fried green tomatoes any day of the week. Service is standard and the restaurant has a homey feel. And here's one last thing that's notable: the chef used to work at Del Frisco's Steakhouse. And he was voted one of the top 20 chefs in Houston back in 2018. So now you know Magnolia Cajun Comfort boasts some serious chops!"
"Northside's Best Breakfast Secret! Came in Saturday around 12, and food was freshly delivered. Traditional Breakfast is served all day. Thick cut bacon ! Added Nashville Hot Chicken to the menu Menu has a variety of entrees and they did not disappoint. Pros: Chicken wings - fresh and seasoned French Toast- light and powderedEggs Thick cut Bacon Service from Wendy was great Real Pink LemonadeClean restrooms Cons:None (Building may look a little rusty, but it's all good)"
"While in Houston visiting, I looked for several restaurants that I thought would be good to try that wouldn't disappoint. Upper Kirby Bistro was one that didn't come close to disappointing. They scored high marks.I met with a friend in the mid morning before the brunch crowd proper showed up. I started with a watermelon mimosa that was not only refreshing, but was also just a plus for something different. For starters, we shared the biscuits with gravy. Although they were delicious, there was a faint smoky flavor to them that I detected. There wasn't enough sausage in the gravy to add any kind of smoke, so I was curious as to what it was that made the gravy smoky. My friend ordered the fried catfish and grits, and she ate it all in silence and without complaint. That was all I needed to know that the catfish and grits were delicious. I had oxtails with grits and greens. My inner Jamaican loved the oxtails and my inner Southern totally approved of the grits and flavorful greens.Service is top. I can't say enough about how pleasant our server was. One thing to note is that parking in the area may be come a bit much. Having arrived for a 10:15 AM seating, I could easily get a spot across the street. However, by the time we were leaving around noon, the crowd was coming in and parking along the street was lessening. They have valet, though, but warning just in case you decide to go late in the day when the restaurant packs out. I know I will go back when I'm in town again. It will still be for the earliest seating."
"Ok, the main point of writing this review is to state that Sammy Jo is a boss. I stayed for about an hour on a Friday, and she single handedly worked the entire bar like a champ! Seriously, an underrated skill because this bar was bustling! Happy hour seems to be a hotspot for this place. This was my first time in, and I was surprised to learn that they offer tequila flights, and whiskey flight, but do not offer beer flights! This is surprising because this is certainly a beer joint. On the plus side they have a great selection of local brews (although not all on the menu were available), and the bartenders do a fantastic job at helping you make a selection. Also their shots menu is really unique...peanut butter pixie stick what?! Apart from the drink, I'll agree with a few of the reviews below- the food takes quite awhile, BUT if you have a minute, I recommend the pretzel & beer cheese *chefs kiss*. I'm sure it's meant to feed two or three, shared amongst friends, but this was the perfect size for a gluttonous me (love me some beer cheese)! While I personally cannot say I'm in love with the "come and take it" staff uniforms, all and all, I would recommend this place for a nice happy hour brew with the mindset that the food is a bonus."
"Fun fusion joint that combines Texan and Asian influences. The pork belly fried rice was tasty with tender and fatty pork belly. The brisket egg rolls were good as well although I wished the brisket was juicier. Great flavors overall.Love the vibe here. The space is pretty big with just enough decoration to entertain the eye. They were also playing killer Southern jams (e.g. Tammy Wynette). Friendly service.Clean bathrooms. Ample parking."
"Good food, service, price and decor. Bathroom was clean. Price better than most equivalent restaurants. Not good for large groups. We had to sit in multiple booths. One shortcoming. They put these stunningly delicious and addictive type of a croissant on the table. If you don't use a great deal of restraint, you will become too full to eat your meal."
"First time visit at this restaurant.. an eye catching buy one get one free special!!... The Chicken Fried Steak was huge, thick and flavorful... The battered crust was thick and tasty... The black eyed peas were great with the dinner roll. The squash casserole was spot on.. and the fried okra and broccoli casserole were great as well. As for me, the food was good and worth a visit if hungry for a little comfort food... I'm going into a food coma.. Just my opinion.."
"After having kids, this review definitely gets a boost. Growing up cheddars was very affordable american food. I would go here on dates in high school and out with friends. Everyone could get full and not break the bank. Now as an adult with kids, this is a place where you can bring the family and the kids can find something they can eat while you can eat on solid food for a very reasonable price. Our favorite by far is the appetizer of the croissants. I believe each person gets one, we usually get an order for the table in addition since it's so damn addicting. As far as entrees, the kids usually will eat the chicken tenders and shrimp combo. The adults will either get the steak and ribs or ribs and shrimp combos. This is a massive amount of food, each combo comes with two sides. The ribs are always plentiful and enough to take home for lunch the next day. On our last visit the waiter was on point! He brought us everything quickly and was super pleasant."
"So this place is hidden way in the back I had fun trying to find it lol. The ambience of the decor the paint job and my favorite the fans made lunch even better. Every single one of your employees today were over accommodating very welcoming. Let us switch tables as my friend was pregnant and we was crammed in our first table. No biggy I asked if we could get the bigger table they said yes. The area was clean I even seen the bus boy move the tables and chairs to clean under it. The food was delicious I was tearing it up. I got the fried steak with gravy it tastes like home and the mashed potatoes they're so delicious best I ever had better than the roadhouse. My drink was gone in 2 minutes lol yes that tasty and pretty the girl knew I didn't want the pineapple so she switched it out. I should had taken a photo of my food but my hands got to it quicker. Will be back I love good customer service."
"Absolutely delicious can't wait to try more menu items. The truck was in the target parking lot, I was so glad I stopped by target that day."
"Ashley F was our server and she was super friendly, courteous, and a great server. She promptly greeted us with hit and fresh honey buttered croissants. So yummy. She took our drink orders and was attentive in refilling our drinks. Ordered the fish and chips, others ordered the chicken pot pie, triple sampler, a d soup. All tasted great! Enjoyed everything and Ashley's sweet service!"
"It's been at least 10 years since I've eaten here so I thought it was time to give them another chance. I say that because my memory was of an unremarkable visit back then. Since then Houston's bbq game has improved dramatically. Unfortunately nothing has changed here over that time. I came for lunch this week and remembered the attractive entrance with the large menu board along with the spacious interior decorated in Texas country chic. This is a counter service restaurant where you go down a serving line and request your food. I chose a sliced brisket sandwich ($8.75) with a side of beans ($2.75) and adding a drink it was under $15 with tax. They have a drink station and fixings bar that also has bottles of bbq sauce there. I then went to find a table and while there were many, several of them needed to be bussed and I thought that looked a little sloppy. I will admit that my brisket had a nice bark on it as seen in my picture but the meat was chewy and should have been more tender. I added some of the sauce (which I liked) to wet it down but it still was too chewy. Flavor wise it was ok but I have had better. I did like the taste of the beans which were light kidney beans but I thought the serving size wasn't large enough. I understand that brisket beef prices are high but sides surprise me with how expensive they are relative to their serving size. I think of Lyndon's as bbq that is lower to middle tier. Because of my chewy brisket I should give a 2 but I believe that Lyndon's is probably a little better than that with their other menu offerings so I will give a 3. However it probably will be at least 10 more years before I return because of so many other better bbq options out there."
"I have left a previous review but wanted to add another. I was in the area with a coworker and decided to take him to Hedgehog. Once again I was not disappointed. I ordered chips and queso. The sweet waitress told me they were out of chips and I asked if we could have fries instead. I recommend this! The fries had a great seasoning that went very well with the queso. I ordered the Bacon and cheese burger () and asked if I could have mashed potatoes with cream gravy as my side. No problem. They're customer service and delicious burgers will make me a repeat customer again."
"So I found myself looking for a decent meal after yet another day/evening of merchandising work out in Lake Jackson. I stumbled upon this place while browsing the available options and curiosity got the better of me.There was a relatively sparse crowd for a Saturday night, yet I didn't get even get the slightest of weird looks for walking in as a solo diner. Now at this establishment, the pairing of vegetables to the dish is fixed and substitutions aren't allowed. I decided to try the chicken fried steak, which happens to be paired with mashed potatoes and green beans, despite the fact I'm not a huge green beans fan.The chicken fried steak was excellent. The mashed potatoes are superb as well. The green beans are absolutely amazing, perhaps the best to be found in the greater Houston area.Despite the prices running a bit higher than I had originally planned to spend on dinner this trip, I think I have found a new favorite restaurant when I'm in Lake Jackson and I hope to be back soon."
"How many different ways can I eat boudin...? Today, 3! HUGE boudin egg rolls, Boudin Burger with crawfish potato salad, and their newest item not even on the menu yet... Stuffed Boudin Wings all washed down with brown sugar lemonade and finished with some homemade bread pudding. We even got gumbo to-go for dinner. Y'all... run here fast! Owner was super nice and said they are opening a BBQ Smokehouse next door. Can't wait!"
"I been trying to get here for a minute and then Keith Lee came and made the spot busier than ever. So I waited for it to calm down to make it that way. We went Sunday after church and we were the only ones there surprisingly. Our hostess was really nice but I didn't get her name. The side car was really strong. The fish and shrimp were soooo good. The Mac was good too. The greens were alright. The cornbread was awesome. My friend had the grits and shrimp. The shrimp was great..grits watery. Overall good experience"
"I can tell you right now as I sit here chowing down this place is twisted good! Hella good, I got the Smokehouse Brisket, which is a smoked beef brisket with pickled jalapenos, melted yellow and white American cheese, white cheddar, and mozzarella. The bread is buttery toasted with a drizzle of barbecue sauce on top! What a lovely delicious combination for a person who craves cheese! The service is great, and the atmosphere is always nice when I can sit back and relax and people-watch."
