"Very cute brunch and dessert spot. The crème brûlée bites were my favorite. They are about two bites which are perfect if you're wanting to sample a few things. I also tried the key lime pie. Not too sweet but the perfect level of sugar to where you don't feel like you're immediately getting a cavity. Also had brunch. I tried the French toast and breakfast sandwich. The French toast was simple but okay. The sandwich was a little messy. I wasn't a fan of the bacon, almost as if It wasn't freshly cooked . I would've preferred a different bun as well. The hamburger bun was out of place for breakfast."

"Coffee was the ice capp and it was really good. Put it over ice and it was tastier. The potato egg and cheese taco was a little overpriced in an area with $3 breakfast tacos. The homemade corn tortilla was solid but nothing stood out about the taco itself. Overall still a good breakfast."
"It was really good! We had the mango ice with a side of fresh mango and boba. It's smooth and creamy and just filled with mango flavor. We shared the smaller one but should have gotten the bigger one because it was so good! The staff was very friendly and kind. Service was fast. It was hard to find a clean table but it was maybe 45 min before closing so I get it. I will definitely be back."
"Brunch on the weekends is always delicious! I had the egg and prosciutto skillet and it was yummy!!! I also indulged in the strawberry mimosas. Their carafes are reasonably priced $22/carafe, and you can get about 5-6 glasses per carafe. Self parking is very limited to a few spaces and Valet parking is available as well. I went around Noon this past Sunday and did not have to wait for a table. The manager greeted us and took our drink orders while we waited for our waiter to check in with us."
"Grab some friends, desserts, and coffee! This has been great place to hang out at on Friday evenings. They have great coffee shop like ambiance and stellar customer service! My friends and I each order a pie or two and we'll just do a rotational tasting and pass it down until we're all pie-d out or we devoured it all. That's really the best way to sample all the variety of flavors. I do love that each time we come, they have several new flavors, it keeps it fresh. This place is really our favorite pie place in all of Houston and we'll have friends meeting us here from all over the city. The price is about $7 for a generous slice. Some of my favorites (it's difficult to choose because there are many favorites, so you'll just have to get a bunch of friends who like to share): Blueberry cobblerTexas Buttermilk with warm blueberriesBourbon PecanWobbly TurtleCoconut Silk PieThey also have a few tables for outdoor seating."
"Vibe- This is a dope coffee shop in Montrose with plenty of outdoor seating and a good amount of indoor seating, I counted about 10 tables (each with 2-3 seats) and a bar against the wall with 5 bar stools. Customer service- Great, the barista was very pleasant! Food/drinks- I went with a hot matcha latte with oatmilk and I got tacos with potatoes, avocado and beans, everything was delish!!Parking- There's a pretty decent size lot behind the shop and you can actually enter the shop from the back lot."
"I came here on a busy Saturday morning and enjoyed a flavorful iced cardamom latte. For around $5, I felt it was reasonably priced, and service was prompt. There were plenty of people studying and chit-chatting, with ample seating both inside and outside. The parking lot itself is small, but there was ample street parking. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pick-me-up in the area."
"We did a day trip to Houston and found this spot for some ice cream/gelato. After sampling a few flavors, I got a scoop of the pecan baklava and the chocolate hazelnut crunch. We all loved the pecan baklava, so that was the crowd favorite. I like that they top of the scoops with a piece of a waffle cone."
"Unassuming and very popular neighborhood coffee bar in The Heights off of Studemont and 8th Ave I believe. Pros: Lots of seating which was quite impressive. Inside and outside. Didn't take any indoors seating pics cause the spot was actually crowded. A hipster vibe where everyone is just cool and easygoing. Had a cafe mocha that was made at perfect temp and the barista offered to bring it to my table. Despite it being busy on a late Friday afternoon, the personal service from the staff was impressive. Lots of customers buying wine! I went thru a quick crash course in what Antidote offers as far as wine is concerned. Ended up having a dry Spanish champagne. Now I don't like dry champagne AT ALL..! But this brut was smooth and went down easy. Very pleased to find a great coffee spot where the staff is just as great!PS: it has that "keep Austin weird" crowd type of vibe. Con: Parking is a little frustrating as in HARD to find a spot cause Antidote is located in a strip mall and traffic is high. After circling the block a bit all that " frustration " will melt away when you walk in."
"1/13/2024- Came here for breakfast with a party of 9 after the "We are Houston 5k" race. This place was highly recommended by Houston locals and ambassadors to the race. This place is the cutest! We sat outside, it ended up being a beautiful chilly morning. They have an awesome outdoor space. You order inside and they just bring it out to you. The inside is just as adorable. The menu looked amazing. A lot of different options. Some savory, some sweet. We came pretty hungry, and everyone seemed to be super happy by their selection. Some ordered avocado toast, hash, egg sandwiches, etc. I went with the basic breakfast but there was nothing basic about it. Everything on that plate was delicious. The eggs, the bacon, the bread, the potatoes! all of it.The one thing that stood out to us was the fantastic service by the staff. Highly recommended!"
"The ambiance from the moment you step inside is tranquil, serene and quiet-- I just KNOW I'll finally be able to finish coding and develop my software skills even more by visiting more frequently and not having my annoying anxious avoidant neighbor trying to start a conversation every 5 minutes in the common space area of where I reside.I can finally sip my coffee in peace and get some work done at the same time. Latina owned business and I look forward to returning again! El cafe de olla tastes just as if I made it at home, fresh y con un toque de canela traen el pan dulce del "El Bolillo", the best spot to buy pan dulce in Houston in my humble and ferocious foodie opinion. Como Hispana, y mas que nada, Mexicana y Cubana, a good cup of coffee is hard to find up to my standards... but this spot passes the test. It reminded me so much of my usual favorites in Austin, TX. This is one spot you do NOT want to miss within the Houston city limits for good pan dulce y un cafecito for the road ."

This was a cute little vibe cafe. I came multiple times on my stay in Houston. They have a nice menu of green juices, sweet treats, and breakfast sandwiches. Order at the counter and find a seat. There were people working and just hanging out. GLOWS:-The green juices were pretty tasty.-The shop is located within a small park, so the location is very cute. GROWS:-They are on the expensive side.-I didn't care for the chia pudding. It was very dry

Always Houston staple coffee shop. The music is a little loud. They have upstairs and downstairs seating but watch out for the steep stair case. Lovely staff and ambiance with delicious drinks.

I love the ambience here. Very spacious coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This is a great place to go to grab a quick bite and catch up with friends or to catch up on work. The quiche here is to die for. Breakfast taco was ok. Theres quite a bit of food options on the menu for vegetarians and non vegetarians.

It must have been the owner working because he was very friendly. We order just the plain vanilla shave ice so we can see how the base shaved ice taste and it was sweet. More sweet than some places but we liked it. We added bananas to compliment the sweetness. We will be back to try other flavors.

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with the family outdoors here. They have a nice patio and service was attentive and helpful, especially when we needed to ask questions about the food ingredients for my daughter who has food allergies. My daughter was able to safely eat penne pasta with grilled chicken and marinara sauce (our go-to at many restaurants to avoid egg, dairy and cashew/pistachio allergies). We got the green Chile shrimp ceviche appetizer as well, which she was able to safely eat too. And it was very refreshing but did feel like it could use more shrimp. My prosciutto and pineapple pizza was just as I expected it and satisfied my sudden craving for pizza! It was a good portion too and had to take some home for leftovers. The rest of the family was happy about their choices too! Parking lot had a few empty spots when we arrived so we're able to self-park. They are tight spots though, so if you're not a confident driver, it may be worth getting the valet to park.

Ain't no reason to be humble about this pie; it's phenomenal. The crust is perfect, every time. The service is always friendly. You can certainly get your food to go, but there's something about this space that invites you to linger a little. In no particular order, I recommend the following:- Blueberry Buttermilk - Ghirardelli Chocolate Silk- Wobbly Turtle Chocolate Silk- Margherita Quiche- Bacon and Spinach Quiche- The Frenchman sandwich (on a croissant)It's hard to go wrong. This is obviously not a place to bring your friend with food allergies. There's lots of butter here. And cheese. And sugar.

Blacksmith has become a quick favorite after my recent move to Houston. Ambience is calm, and cozy. Coffee is delicious, staff are kind. Couldn't ask for much more!I haven't tried their food offerings yet, but my friend ordered one of their croissant breakfast sandwiches that looked divine. She said it was really good, so keep an eye on the food menu here too!I've ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk the last few times I've been, and it's been consistently amazing. Will absolutely be back for more! :)

Very good Cubano and excellent Golden Latte, (think turmeric and ginger).Very eclectic inside, but could use some upkeep. Grumpy staff while ordering. Maybe he needs some good coffee.

"In honor of Women's History Month, I'm proud to share my adoration for this women-owned coffee shop. Whether you are grabbing coffee and a breakfast taco to-go or opt to stick around for some remote working, Brass Tacks is great. They have a lot of seating (though, this place is so dang popular, good luck finding a spot) inside and out. The patio is dog friendly, and they have plenty o' parking. Coffee, cocktails, breakfast tacos, sammiches - even some retail therapy!"
"I don't make it out to Houston very often; but when I do, it's in search of delicious food. Hitting up my foodie plaza, I gotta get that caffeine fix first. We've been to Long Coffee twice around 10amish, and the drive thru line was pretty fast. There were maybe 1 or 2 cars in front of us. Love that drive thru option, so we can quickly move on to our next destination. Let's talk drinks! *Cafe sua da: If you want something creamy and strong, get this classic Vietnamese iced coffee. *Hot salted caramel latte: The latte had a nice taste and was not overly sweet. They also offer this in decaf for those wondering. *Royal artichoke: One of the popular herbal drinks if you're not feeling like coffee that day. It's refreshing with added toppings. I didn't get a chance to go inside, but they do have a patio outside. We were eyeing the popcorn chicken, but their kitchen does not open till 11am. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and will be back the next time we're in town."
"Luce Ave Coffee Roasters has been on my coffee radar for quite some time, but just never got around to trying them out. I happened to have dinner next door and when I pulled up I saw they were next door. It was a no brainer to check them out for a nice after dinner and drive home treat. I came in the evening and the place was fairly busy. The shop itself is narrow but has plenty of seating and did not feel crowded at all. It seemed like the it spot in the neighborhood to get some work done as everyone had their heads in a screen of some sort. Customer service was ok. The person who took my order only spoke when spoken to and only offered assistance with the menu when asked. No biggie, I got the information that I needed eventually. Their menu has a lot of variety. They have your everyday classic options like espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. One of their featured items are the charcoal drinks. They also have cold drinks, teas and frozen drinks. I was curious about some of the signature drinks but that category had no descriptions of the drinks. I ended up with the Island Latte which was a latte with pandan syrup and coconut milk. Definitely very islandy. Once stirred and all the flavors were incorporated, that drink was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste buds. The hints of vanilla from the pandan mixed with the coconut flavors made for a tasty sip. I usually say I would definitely come back here if in the area, but not this time. Word on the streets is they are opening up a location right in my neck of the woods in Pearland soon. Can't wait!"
"Why 5 stars? Because my smoothie was basically perfect. --- --- --I bookmarked this place a very long time ago and finally was able to check it out. Full disclosure, we were about 20 minutes away, but I still convinced the wife that we were "close enough" to stop by. She loves boba, but was not super into the idea initially. Eventually, I wore her down and we drove way out of our way to enjoy some deliciousness. I initially opted for a limited time holiday shake, but ended up changing my order because I wanted to stick with something I definitely knew I'd love: the taro coconut smoothie. And indeed, I absolutely loved it. It was perfect. My wife ordered a thai tea, and while she can be pretty picky about those, she enjoyed hers as well.I can't say we'll be back often because we don't live nearby and don't spend much time in this area, but this is a great option that we'll re-visit if we find ourselves in this 'hood. Or, you know, within 20 minutes of it."
"Found this place on yelp while looking for a place to order a gender reveal cake from. They have an online form you can fill so I was able to fill everything out and request what I wanted in about 2 minutes without even having to pick up the phone!! (MAJOR PLUS FOR ME).After they received my inquiry, Red Dessert Dive replied quickly, making sure I got what everything I wanted in the cake. I had never been there before but when I went to pick up the cake, the place was tiny and cute and smelled SOOOO GOOD! They had so many sweets it was hard to resist getting one of everything LOL. In addition, the staff here was super friendly and my cake was ready right when they said it would be ready. The cake was beautiful and most importantly it was DELICIOUS. My friend had requested a marble cake with cream cheese frosting and they delivered just that in the most delicious way. Thank you for helping me make this day so special for these newly weds and new parents to be!"
"Wow wow wow! This restaurant is incredible. First of all it's super cute, inside and out. A pink outside and a cool parisian cafe looking inside. The flavors of crepes are plentiful, sweet or savory, you have a large pick.I got the jian bing, it was so delicious, Each bite was crispy because of the wonton, the sauce complimented each bite well. The crepe itself was so soft.I wish there were more vegan savory crepe options but other than that no complaints."
"Great place to stop by after 0800 to get your sweet fix in.They bring all their freshly baked goodies then. The ham and cheese croissant was warmed for me and so crunchy and flaky and the ham and cheese were lovely together. The petite key lime pie is a tasty treat with the crumbly stuff on the outside.Strawberry cupcake was good - fresh chunks of strawberries on the inside, I was just disappointed by how hard the topping was - definitely in the fridge too long and not enough time at room temp.Highly recommended if you are in thennehghborhood. 10 minute parking is available."
"On a recent road trip to College Station, we needed some sustenance before hitting the road. I needed it in the form of caffeine mainly. My Yelp bestie Tiffany located this spot, and come to find out, I've had it bookmarked for awhile. It is located in the Boardwalk at Towne Lake. Parking is plentiful in this really nice shopping center. Walking in, I really liked the chill vibes this place had. There were a few families there as well as people on their laptops taking care of business. The staff was very friendly and helpful.I looked over the everyday menu and they had quite a few options to choose from. They have hot, cold and specialty coffee drinks along with tea and bottled drinks. I went with what looked like a seasonal drink called the Turtle Dove. I saw the word toffee and knew that was the drink for me. I requested mine with almond milk. This drink came out in a large coffee mug with a pretty design in the foam. The toffee flavor was very present but not overpowering. I could totally taste the great quality coffee as well. It wasn't too sweet which is how I like my coffee. I knew I needed some food in my system as well and noticed a plethora of baked goods. Come to find out, everything is freshly baked daily. They had cookies and pastries as well as made to order cakes. I'm a sucker for cinnamon rolls, so I had to get that when I saw it. They asked if I wanted it heated up which of course I did. The cinnamon roll was so soft and fluffy and the sweet cream cheese icing was the icing on the cake, no pun intended. I would come back for this alone.I've been finding myself in the Cypress area frequently recently, and if that trends continues, I will definitely be stopping in here more. I highly recommend this spot!"
"If you guys know me well, I'm a fat kid at heart & a sucker for desserts. Both the cheesecake Crepe & banana foster Crepe with two scoop of ice cream was meant to be in my belly. The strawberry lemonade was the perfect ender for the night.#tonylameats337 #houston #cococrepes #crepe #dessert"
"A very cute Italian cafe in the heart of Rice Village and as can be expected kinda expensive. We were hungry after all the morning walk in Hermann Park and made a big order of Latte with extra shot, Caprese avocado toast, pistachio biscotti, and a fruit tart. Afterall, I had to make up for the 200 calories I burned just now .... LolWe took the little private looking booth inside the cafe, but they do have plenty seating area outside as well. Loved the toast, it's literally avocado on toast, but with the cheese and balsamic vinegar on top, it really came together as a light tasty healthy breakfast The biscotti was ok. Coffee was nice, but I should mention extra hot next time. The tart , hmmm, was Not good. The crust was really hard, there was too much custard that had lost its moisture and was unsavory. Service was fast and they brought out the food to the table. The staff put on a professional behavior which is perfectly acceptable by me.What I loved even more free parking (but limited) in an area which had plenty shade for my precious new car, maybe that time of the day..... whatever, but that felt welcoming."
"Came here to try some yummy coffee and have breakfast. Ordered a vanilla oat milk latte and a breakfast sandwich with an over medium egg. Total came out to $28. A little pricey for a coffee shop in my opinion, however the service was great. Lots of staff were working and checking in throughout my stay. The coffee was delicious, truly would come back for a cup of that. The sandwich with hashbrowns was good. Egg cooked to perfection, but I just don't see myself paying $14+ for a sandwich at a coffee shop. They got a section with all the stuff needed to add to yur coffee, cream, sugar, works and then utensils and sauces for your food. I also saw they had a cereal/granola station that was pretty cute too."
"I was a regular in the late 60's and in 1994. I have not lived in Houston since. I had so many good friends who would meet up there. glad it is still around. there are not too many places that made a nyer feel at home in texas"
"I really like the coffee latte flavors here. My favorite is the honey cinnamon oat latte decaf. So yummy. It's a nice place with a good amount of seating to read or have a coffee date.Only thing is I didn't like the pastries.. I tried quite a few, from the cinnamon roll, which was dry and not very cimmimmony to the danished which are very bread not flaky croissants. This can use improvement buy the coffee and drinks are great!"
"Location: midtown area/ labranch Staff: friendly, helpful, nice Time wait: none Seating: outdoor, there is a closed area to protect from rain/wind Price: average Taste: stroopwael oat milk latte/ hot It was very tasty and full to the size of the cup Food: muffin asked to be warmed and I loved the crispy top Parking: lots Great relaxed spot, lots of available seating and parking."
"I know I've rated this place before, but I feel inclined to do so again. My experience here is always consistent - and that experience is pure awesomeness. I tried the biscoff donut today - and all I can say is OMG. The folks here are so nice and attentive - you can't go wrong with anything you get!"
"This review focuses on the vegan and Gluten Free options available at Crave, which are plentiful and very well priced.I actually drove out of my way to get the vegan red velvet cupcake. I remembered it having a different taste than what I received today. Additionally, since I am really trying to minimize my gluten and choose vegan options as much as possible, I decided to pick up the vegan and Gluten Free chocolate chip cookie. I have to tell ya- I miss Gluten and chocolate eating this cookie. It just wasn't enough of a replacement for me to be determined that I could go without the real thing without complaints. It just was more cake than cookie consistency for me. I missed the crunch of the cookie with bits of melted chocolate between. bites. But thats just personal preference. The dessert was edible and filling. I'm carb sensitive but this cookie didn't leave me wanting my pillow after eating it, which is a good thing. It just was really sweet for my taste. Like drink a whole bottle of water sweet. That alone is the only real reason I wouldn't suggest this dessert. The vegan red velvet was a little dry. I needed water to devour it. I had to take breaks eating it in fact. It too was not my cup of tea, but for those whose only option is vegan desserts, it's a great replica of the real thing. Again however the frosting is way too thick and sweet for my taste. I believe my experiment with vegan desserts was not a complete fail, but I think I rather eat non vegan cupcakes and cookies in extreme moderation and soothe my sweet tooth whenever possible."
"If you blink, you'll miss it. This unassuming diner on San Jacinto just off I-10 and a true hidden gem. I went early one Sunday, just as they opened, and was immediately greeted as soon as we walked through the door. We were the only people there at 8 am which was perfect. It's open seating so you order at the counter and then sit wherever you want. Service was quick and the portions were huge. Neither of us could finish our food lol. This is a great place to stop in when you want a good, hearty diner breakfast or brunch. What we got is below.1) Cinnamon French toast. Three ginormous sliced if perfectly cooked cinnamon french toast toped with a quarter cup if powdered sugar. It wasn't egg or undercooked in the middle. When I say perfect, that's what I mean.2) Apple pecan pancakes. Two massive circles of fluffy buttery pancakes topped with cooked apples and chopped pecans. I didn't try them but my son devoured the leftovers so I'm certain they were just as good as the French toast."
"One of my favorite locations for a delicious snack and provides a great atmosphere for either catching up with friends or diving into a good book. Personally I recommend the chocolate chip and pecan cookies as well as their wide assortment of lattes - Hazelnut is my go to here. Even when they are busy the staff is great whether is recommendations, and checking up on you to see if you need anything else they have a genuine smile when they do it. If you are in the area definitely come check and check them out! #cookies #lattes"
"I was in the area and decided to visit this spot. Love the vibe of this coffee shop. The music playing in the background was so chill, and the paintings throughout were so cool and unique (FYI - if you do like them and want to take these paintings home, you can purchase them). There were hanging plants above me and a lovely bookshelf display on the far wall. There was a bar with seating and outlets for people to do work here. That being said, parking here, as anywhere in downtown, is just a pain in the a**. Thankfully, street parking at the metered spots was free on Sunday. You'll have to pay during certain times from Monday thru Saturday to avoid being towed or ticketed. This is not to mention the area surrounding this coffeeshop can be quite sketchy. So, be careful with your belongings and try to park as close as possible. Or just take an Uber or Lyft here if you live close by. I perused their menu beforehand and decided to try out their lavender latte (hot) with oat milk. The barista did a good job with making this drink quite pleasant, as the lavender flavor wasn't overpowering and didn't taste like soap. But, I did wish I could taste more of the espresso in here. It wasn't caffeinated enough for me. Next time I'm in the area, I'll just order a plain flat white and add extra espresso shots as needed. Of note, they also serve pastries, kolaches, tacos, and quiches if you want to munch on something with your drink. One more thing to mention is that they seem to be one of the few coffee shops downtown open on a Sunday. Yay. So, if you're around the area, come and check them out."
"Great teas & awesome rewards program. Keeps me coming back for drinks/teas! Went there yesterday with family and again today for more takeout"
"I loveeeee boba! This boba shop has the freshest boba in the area to me! A lot of flavors to pick from and great tea customer service is always great also."
"Came in here for some after dinner drinks, and it was such a cute vibe! I love that they sell coffee, wine and beer, and then have some food for purchase as well. My friends ordered cappuccinos and a Reese's iced coffee and you could just tell the amount of love and patience that went into making the drinks, they looked delicious! There's indoor and outdoor seating, and surprisingly for a houston evening there was a nice breeze out, so the doors were open and we hung out and chatted for a while. While looking around the place, they've got merch for sale as well as games to play, which is always right up my alley! There's an amazing view of the park across the street, I would definitely come back here to hang for a bit and try the food next time too!"
"Nice friendly service. Drinks were pretty good if you cut down on the sweetness like I did. The Banh trang tron I didn't like so much. It had a potent fishy scent and flavor wasn't great. I didn't like some of the stuff they mixed it up with. I'm excited to come back to try their clay pot tea and mochi waffles though"
