"I ordered takeout out from Pizzeria Serio. They make some serio pizza but with a smile. The ordering process was easy, and the pizza was ready before their promised time. I ordered a Margherita Pizza, and customized my own pizza with Soppressata and had them drizzle some Hot Honey on the pizza. Both pizzas were really delicious, but I really did enjoy eating my custom Hot Honey & Soppressata pizza. The Margherita pizza was good but nothing special. The only good I would have preferred on both is a little more char on the crust. Overall very satisfied."
"Pretty busy spot for lunch on the weekday but got here just before the crowd. It took a long while to get our two sandwiches which they need to improved as most corporate people getting food have a limited amount of time for lunch. There's not much room to sit inside but there is a cute little outdoor area off the sidewalk we were able to enjoy. My idea before coming to this spot was Italian deli but it's funny because I don't really think of the two things we got as Italian- crispy chicken sandwich and pastrami. Flavor was good because we enjoyed the sauces and slaw on the sandwiches but the pastrami was a little tough."
Conceived by the owner in his Chicago Law Office while Dreaming of "il gran giorno" when he would open his restaurant, the Pizza Pot Pie has become a favorite of world-wide pizza connoisseurs who have graced the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company since its inception in 1972. The Pizza Pot Pie is an individual serving, "made from scratch" with triple-raised Sicilian bread-type dough; a homemade sauce consisting of olive oil, fresh garlic, onions, green peppers, whole plum tomatoes and a special blend of cheeses; sausage made from prime Boston butts; and doorknob-size, whole, fresh mushrooms. (Vegetarian pizza pot pie may be special ordered.)

The warmth and customer service of the staff is amazing.Anything you want Italian is here from the meats to the pastas to the sauces you name it they have it! I brought home some homemade Italian meatballs and they're delicious chicken Parmesan, along with some Fixin's to make subs over the weekend.I've passed by this little hidden gem in Frankfurt several times and decided to try it out and I am just over the moon impressed with all the options. If you're in the area stop by, you won't be disappointed."
"I love the service here. I tried all homemade drink flavors and was not a fan! Tasted like Kool-Aid! The Super Chicken Philly was very mouthwatering and I went back the next day for another one they have a guy here that sale a variety of homemade cakes (Pookie Crack Cake) and they are addicting!"
"Located in the former Uptown Cafe, Egg House is the newest addition to the Arlington Heights downtown area. On a Sunday morning at 9, it was quite busy, but we were seated immediately. The inside decor is clean and fresh. Our party of four tried a variety of dishes. I had the Egg Florentine Benedict with a side of fresh fruit. The benedicts were very good, and included three eggs. The tomato was fresh and flavorful, and the spinach was also fresh. Others had the Chocolate Chip Banana Swedish pancakes, three beautiful pancakes with lots of bananas and drizzled with chocolate. The steak skillet was in a large skillet topped with several eggs. I ordered tea and was presented with several teas in glass tubes , a nice way to present the selections available. Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive and coffee refills were offered often. The manager stopped by to check in on us! By the time we left, the line was out the door! We will return to try some of their options."
"When I worked closer to the financial district, I used to go to Cafecito's locations on Wells and Roosevelt, but that seems like a lifetime ago. So it's been tough to get a decent Cubano or Vieja Ropa samwich. I'm also a big fan of the Philly cheese steak, I love beef and cheese and onions and peppers, etc. so when I saw that Bia's has both sandwiches, along with credible reviews and ratings, I said to myself, "Get yourself over there and get some pronto." There's plenty of pahking on Addison St., fyi. Inside, there are a few tables and there's a long table along the wall, where you can grab a stool and have your meal. You order upfront and they'll bring your food to you. I'm really into protein so I got double meat on both sandwiches. The Cubano comes with roasted ham and ham slices, along with cheese and mustard. The steak sandwich is really where it's at - so tasty and flavored just right. Between the two - the steak sandwich reigns supreme. The empanadas were a little underwhelming but at least I gave them a shot. I believe it's byob, not 100 percent sure though, fact check before you bring your Schlitz. Hope to be back asap and go Cubbies!!"
"service was fast even with a long line and they have a great variety of sandwich's. Got the italian was very filling and not dry at all bread was delicious. Wish they had more snack options though there was a small row of chips and sweets but a ton of wine options."
"So I used to live in Chicago as a California native. I'm always trying to like figure out what makes Chicago so amazing and they're cuisine their food there's sandwiches there's soups there pizza so here. I am being served at Kathy's. I get the feeling as an outsider that it's a very blue collar first responder EMT like police officer neighborhood which makes me feel great cause I feel safe you know... That's just my opinion so I pop into Kathy's and I get the Italian sandwich! Man was that good!!!Very Clean interior and exterior . I Love the sandwiches Fantastic Service."
"Tried Jersey Mike's Subs and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak sub and it was filled to the brim. The peppers were nice and sweet and the sandwich was actually hot when it arrived. Broadway, as the other reviewer said, is really coming alive with a good variety of food places to choose from. Glad I tried this place."
"Elevate is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. They always have a great selection of standard/seasonal drinks and their breakfast sandwiches are yummo! Ordering online is easy, but they also have a cute, cozy indoor area that has a few tables if you want to enjoy your coffee inside. The barista is also great!"
"**highly recommend making a reservation, seats fill up quick and calendar availability is up to 30 days+/- in advance****CASH ONLY**Shoutout to Germando for keeping in touch with me throughout the day (our 830pm reservation turned to a 1030pm + the last party of the night to dine-in l o l) and Sharon for the A++ service (heh thanks for flipping my bowl back so I could re-shoot a video)!Menu is focused on pizza , salads, and their famous pot pie so it's limited variety (i.e. didn't find spaghetti anywhere) Yelper Bonnie C. (hey love!) and I opt for the half pound Pizza Pot Pie, it can also be made vegetarian too (Sharon asked if meats and mushrooms were OK) It was a very cool video moment haha they make , making the pot , look so easy! The pot pie was constructed with a pizza dough bowl, red sauce, whole mushrooms, then a thick cheese layer to top it off It was good , essentially a fancier deconstructed Chicago Deep dish pizza in the shape of a dome / bowl hahaDefinitely recommend to try this at least once, a Chicago staple indeed!"
"The sandwiches here are delicious! My friends and I ordered a larger order that included several wraps, sandwiches, and even a hamburger. I really personally liked the Buffalo chicken wrap. I found the veggie sandwich to be a bit soggy. Overall everyone seemed to like the food though which was great. The younger male who had me pay at the counter didn't seem to be very talkative or friendly, but it was earlier on a Saturday when no one was there yet. The lady who brought me my food from the back was friendly though! Would recommend to others!"

Nonna's lives up to the hype! There is not one item on the menu that isn't delicious- consider this shop my current obsession.Nonna's catered a group lunch recently and there were ample leftovers for everyone, so I was lucky to try a good portion of their menu. The sandwich platter included halves of their chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, Pacino, roasted turkey, and meatball sandwiches. There were additional family style orders of their kale salad, antipasti chopped salad, and chocolate chip cookies. All were absolutely outstanding, but my favorite of the sandwiches was actually the turkey! It's beautiful in its simplicity, and all of the flavors went together so well. The bread was perfectly chewy, and I loved how the broccoli gave a nice crunch to the smooth dill cheese and sweet/spicy honey mustard mayo. A close second was the meatball sandwich, which was spicy, loaded with delicious cheese, and contained some of the most tender meatballs I've ever tried. The antipasti chopped salad was also an absolute explosion of flavors and textures- do not sleep on this! The chocolate chip cookies were about the size of my face, and were beautifully soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and dusted with a perfect sea salt sprinkle.I am already thinking about the next visit (hopefully in person), and can't recommend Nonna's highly enough!

This place is the bomb! Smells heavenly! Great for catering events. Renee helped with our catering for our church function and gave us a great price. Lots of food too! I've also bought groceries there too. The ready made meals are good too. Don't miss this gem in Frankfort.

I have been to Egg House restaurants in other locations and I wanted to try their newest restaurant in Arlington Heights. This new location did not disappoint. The new owners made some major renovations including hanging vegetation and a bright new coat of paint. They even brightened up the bathroom, which sorely needed it. I especially enjoyed the heater under the sink. Our server was nice and friendly and checked on us often. I had the chocolate chip bacon pancakes. The pancakes were malty and the bacon was crispy. A win in my book. I highly recommend Egg House in Arlington Heights. I will be coming back to try of their menu.

Great coffee, if ethnic style sweetened speaks to you. Good Cuban sandwiches & more are tasty & can hit the spot. Two bummers: their homemade BBQ sauce is not available till later morning and parking is unavailable out front. But since the Metra construction is still not complete, if you can walk a lil' you'll find some on the corner. Wish they had an area of the street held just for them or with a temporary 20 min zone. There are more than one Cuban sandwich joints in Chicago. It's worth it to try them all. Better hours in da Chi.

This place is the real deal. This is the place you pop into on the way to Montrose beach for a quick sammy and a cold soda with a bag of chips on the side. Truly one of the best sammys on the north side of chicago.

This is deff a hidden gem! Casually ran into it and I will deff be coming back! I live their daily specials that are well worth it because they come with fries and it's a pretty big sub! Very reasonable prices for the quality, size and taste!! My only recommendation for the future customers is make sure you ask if certain things are included that the cashier asks because most of the time cheese and peppers will cost extra which will eventually make everything cost more. Overall, very good food and it has a decent variety of food and very friendly staff!
Visit Restaurant Page"Picked up sandwiches from here. Bread was a bit underwhelming. I like typical French crusty bread, this was chewy. Deli meat and veggies was standard. Nothing special. Hot peppers were average. Humboldt House still is my #1 sandwich shop in the neighborhood. This place is fine for convenience."
"A solid find and the kitchen is open until 10:30! Located just off Michigan Ave near Fourth Presbyterian Church and The Four Seasons Hotel. FOOD Each item was bursting with flavor and very reasonably priced. Roasted rabbit tenderloin wrapped in crispy prosciutto- 5/5 Penne Arrabbiata with sausage - 3/5 *full of flavor and fresh short pasta though not a fave. I wouldn't be inclined to order it again. Sautéed Calamari with Shrimp - 4/5 Gnocchi short rib - 5/5 (gluten free option available) SERVICE Service was what you'd expect close to closing. AMBIANCE The chairs in the restaurant have seen better days almost every seat in the front of the restaurant have a clear view of who heads to and leaves from the bathroom. MISCELLANEOUS There's a 3% charge for using a credit card. We dined as walk ins at 10:20p on a Friday night and things were pretty quiet. In terms of occupancy, there were a couple of other diners who were wrapping up their meals while we were there."
"I was so happy to see The Fat Shallot with a storefront at the Merchandise Mart! I remember them as a food truck. Their counter service was so kind. I got the turkey sandwich on their pretzel roll. I got the regular french fries. The meal was outstanding and the portion sizes are huge!"
"Very convenient place to grab a sandwich for lunch while working from home if you live near by. I don't think I would order delivery from here, but if you're already in the area then it's worth a go. The corned beef sandwich would have definitely been better if they were able to warm or toast the bread, but it was still a pretty good sandwich. All of the ingredients were fresh and good quality."
"Okay, this place is hopping. Like, shoulder-to-shoulder at 9 pm on a Friday kind of hopping. But you know what? It's worth the squeeze. This is Indian street food done right. Fresh, hot, and bursting with flavor. We ordered the Mysore Chutney Masala Dosa and each bite was a mini explosion of deliciousness. The Cut Mirchi was cooked to perfection, and was perfectly seasoned. Now, be warned: it's LOUD. Like, "gotta raise your voice to be heard across the counter" loud. Rating: 4.5 stars (would be 5 for the food alone, but that noise level...)"
"Went back after a rather long time twice in 3 weeks and I will only talk about what is famous at Milk & Honey Cafe. They're absolutely delicious, freshly made bakery items and fantastic coffee. The seasonal bakes never fail to impress me and this time it was an Espresso Chocolate chip scone! Could it get any better?!!! Sigh! I truly savored every crunch and bite and could eat more than 1 scone - it was that good! Customer service is always stellar and quick, though they are so busy. Beautiful outdoor area in good weather and such a modern fashionable crowd! Totally still love the spot!!!"
"Although not the biggest fan of Mexican Pastries, my mom loves them so of course I stop here on my way home from work to get some just for her. I like the fact that they bake all their goods on site. With their open kitchen you can see what they are about, and its a very clean place. If your in the mood for maranitos (pig shaped pastries with guava or sweet potato filling), although they are really good though I must admit. I always tell my mom "I don't like pastries" but when i get home, low and behold I want one. They have quite a bit of variety of these delicious treats if your in the mood. Although nothing fancy, they offer a little bit of Mexico for all. Sweet and satisfying, and made fresh all day."
"This was my first time trying this restaurant and let me say I'm a big fan of bag pizza so they won me over already. They known for their sauce being on the sweeter side. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming. The pie was cooked perfectly. The only flaw was a lot of the middle piece were cut smaller than my liking and the crust is extra thin. Those things aside this is a solid pie and they have half off on Monday and Tuesday for their family and jumbo size pizzas. The taste also reminded me of a pizza place on 113th & Halsted called Joeys that I loved as a kid. This is good pizza!"
"Always a favorite spot for me. Healthy, fresh, hot and delicious. Don't know why a lot of locations were closed. Need to return especially to the downtown area."
"Cute little sandwich spot right in Lincoln Park. I stopped in mid-afternoon, after a doctor's appointment in the area, and it was pretty empty. Note: there's no designated parking lot - just street parking. I ended up taking my order to go, but there are a few tables inside to enjoy the fare in a simple, laid-back atmosphere.I ordered the truffle BLT and it was ready in just a few minutes. They stacked the sandwich full of bacon goodness, so it was quite decadent but very delicious. It was around $12 for the sandwich (w/o tax or tip) but given the portion size and ingredients, I thought this was a fair value. I would definitely swing by again if in the neighborhood."
"I ordered food to go, after wanting to check out this black owned business for a while. The customer service was great. I ordered the chicken poblano soup, jerk chicken pasta salad, jerk chicken wrap, and Reuben. Omg the food was delicious! I'm sad I didn't try them sooner, but I will definitely be a repeat customer."
"This cafe in west loop has the best Veggie Bahn Mi and Vietnamese coffee. My fiance and I have stopped here a bunch of times and the first time we came we ordered the Bahn mi on a whim. It was the perfect mix of textures and flavor. The people that own and work here are so kind as well and the decor is very aesthetic. Would come here everyday if I can"
"I had lunch here last week and immediately upon walking inside knew I was going to like it. The restaurant was full of diners which is always a good sign and I grabbed my tray and went down the cafeteria style line looking at my options...and there were many. I decided to go with the beef stew for $20. The server on the other side of the steam table grabbed a plate and loaded it up with big chunks of stew meat, carrots and potatoes and drenched it all in gravy and handed it to me. He also offered several bread roll options and I went with an onion roll. I thought about whether I should get a dessert too but my beef stew was so massive I thought that would be enough food for this meal. It easily was.The beef chunks were fork tender and absolutely delicious bathed in that gravy. The potatoes and carrots were equally good. Believe me there was no shortage of meat on that plate. So much so I couldn't finish it all leaving 2 pieces of meat behind. The onion roll was dense and delicious too. It was a fine tasting and filling meal. The portion sizes here are huge I saw some of the deli sandwiches other diners got and I can tell you they got their money's worth! I understand why Manny's is so successful and has been in business as long as it has. Great tasting food served in large quantities and reasonable prices equals success. Come here and you won't go home hungry."
"This is my go to for quesitos. They got the long kind the short kind and the kind with guava. They also have cubanos and other sandwiches and coffee. They have a selection of different pastries. It's a small mom and pop but it's super good."
"Their deli is fantastic for a quick bite for lunch. They stock all Boar's Head products and have a small, curated menu of about 8 sandwiches to pick from. $7.99 each, or $8.99 to make it a meal with potato salad and a can of pop. Just grab a number (paper ticket dispenser) and head to the right side of the meat case to place your order. Great food at a great price. Can't beat it!"
"I always get good & friendly service whether I dine in or take out. Food is delicious & the quantity is good. I usually have enough for another day."
"So I had a hankering to try out Jim's Original after my lovely wife and I ran some errands along the Elston corridor. Neither of us have been to the "Original" Jim's Original formerly located at Maxwell Street and now currently on Union, but we have heard good things about this much newer location at the crossroads of Elston, Diversey and Western. There is a free parking lot if you are driving here. The no-frills interior has vintage images of the OG location, along with metal stool seating if you are dining in. You order at the counter, and our food came out in a snappy fashion. We did not mind listening to the atmospheric bluesy soundtrack. All sandwiches are decently priced as they come with fries, so these are tasty value meals that you just cannot get at your average fast-food joint. My love enjoyed her hot dog, and I certainly liked my pork chop sandwich (yes it comes with the "bone in" so be sure not to bite into the bone). Our items are generously garnished with grilled onions and mustard, and the fries are good with or without ketchup. We were very satisfied with our meal at Jim's Original."
"Came across Vito and Nick's II Pizzeria cause we were in the area and love thin crust pizza. I know the original location was also on Guy Fieri's show Diner's & Drive-Ins back in 2016 and has good Google reviews. We got a 12 inch cheese with various different veggies to go. Requested pizza to be well done. Pizza was nice & hot and put together well. But as a lover of thin crust pizza, I can't say this hit the spot for me. Pizza was good but not out of this world good! I can say there is a place that does it better and it's because of their crust."
"Phenomenal sandwiches and ambiance!!I came here on a Saturday mid morning with wonderful recommendations about the food. I was a little sad to hear that they were sold out of their breakfast panini and also gluten free bread, which was surprising for only 10am on a Saturday (maybe there's an early morning rush?). I ordered the Great Gatsby which seems to be the popular option and for good reason! This sandwich was phenomenal!! The focaccia is so fresh and even had herbs mixed into the greens. The sauce on the sandwich was also awesome. The sandwich was about $15. I love their porch area with the string lights and the music was such a cute chill vibe. I will absolutely be back! Great lil lunch spot in Lincoln park."
"Pete's has been a staple in the community for as long as I can remember. The best gyro, hot dog and polish sausage you can imagine! I highly recommend Pete's‼"
"Fire sandwiches. Would definitely recommend trying their food. Super quality ingredients. Definitely ordering from here again"
"Was in town for the day and was super stoked to see a spot with egg bagels!! Here's the short: egg bagels are my favorite; they're hard to find in the midwest so I usually get them shipped but prefer to buy locally when I can. It was super convenient to use their app to order a half dozen of egg bagels as well as sesame bagels. I took them home with me and ate them the next day! Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the texture. Couple of things were off -- you could tell it was a rolled and shaped bagel because it kinda of unraveled that way. Also, while sure it achieved that bagel chew...the texture was kind of like dry bread. Pick up window only!"
"I truly enjoy visiting the goddess in many parts of the city. I always find their beverages, food, and bakery/pastry items unique and delicious. Today I'm met a friend in the loop location. We opted to get a strawberry Matcha latte iced as well as a iced vanilla latte. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich. All of the beverages were delicious and served with plenty of ice. The breakfast sandwich although very simple with simple ingredients tasted delicious. It was comprised of toast, cheese, bacon, egg, and even guacamole/avocado. I did remove that as I didn't find it, very delicious. Always lively and boisterous in the locations. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Service was fast and friendly, and our order was almost immediately delivered. Good place for working. During busier hours it can be a little challenging finding a seat. There's a parking garage across the street."
