"I ordered takeout out from Pizzeria Serio. They make some serio pizza but with a smile. The ordering process was easy, and the pizza was ready before their promised time. I ordered a Margherita Pizza, and customized my own pizza with Soppressata and had them drizzle some Hot Honey on the pizza. Both pizzas were really delicious, but I really did enjoy eating my custom Hot Honey & Soppressata pizza. The Margherita pizza was good but nothing special. The only good I would have preferred on both is a little more char on the crust. Overall very satisfied."

"Pretty busy spot for lunch on the weekday but got here just before the crowd. It took a long while to get our two sandwiches which they need to improved as most corporate people getting food have a limited amount of time for lunch. There's not much room to sit inside but there is a cute little outdoor area off the sidewalk we were able to enjoy. My idea before coming to this spot was Italian deli but it's funny because I don't really think of the two things we got as Italian- crispy chicken sandwich and pastrami. Flavor was good because we enjoyed the sauces and slaw on the sandwiches but the pastrami was a little tough."

"Located in the former Uptown Cafe, Egg House is the newest addition to the Arlington Heights downtown area. On a Sunday morning at 9, it was quite busy, but we were seated immediately. The inside decor is clean and fresh. Our party of four tried a variety of dishes. I had the Egg Florentine Benedict with a side of fresh fruit. The benedicts were very good, and included three eggs. The tomato was fresh and flavorful, and the spinach was also fresh. Others had the Chocolate Chip Banana Swedish pancakes, three beautiful pancakes with lots of bananas and drizzled with chocolate. The steak skillet was in a large skillet topped with several eggs. I ordered tea and was presented with several teas in glass tubes , a nice way to present the selections available. Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive and coffee refills were offered often. The manager stopped by to check in on us! By the time we left, the line was out the door! We will return to try some of their options."

"When I worked closer to the financial district, I used to go to Cafecito's locations on Wells and Roosevelt, but that seems like a lifetime ago. So it's been tough to get a decent Cubano or Vieja Ropa samwich. I'm also a big fan of the Philly cheese steak, I love beef and cheese and onions and peppers, etc. so when I saw that Bia's has both sandwiches, along with credible reviews and ratings, I said to myself, "Get yourself over there and get some pronto." There's plenty of pahking on Addison St., fyi. Inside, there are a few tables and there's a long table along the wall, where you can grab a stool and have your meal. You order upfront and they'll bring your food to you. I'm really into protein so I got double meat on both sandwiches. The Cubano comes with roasted ham and ham slices, along with cheese and mustard. The steak sandwich is really where it's at - so tasty and flavored just right. Between the two - the steak sandwich reigns supreme. The empanadas were a little underwhelming but at least I gave them a shot. I believe it's byob, not 100 percent sure though, fact check before you bring your Schlitz. Hope to be back asap and go Cubbies!!"

I like the fact that they bake all their goods on site. With their open kitchen you can see what they are about, and its a very clean place. If your in the mood for maranitos (pig shaped pastries with guava or sweet potato filling), although they are really good though I must admit. I always tell my mom "I don't like pastries" but when i get home, low and behold I want one. They have quite a bit of variety of these delicious treats if your in the mood. Although nothing fancy, they offer a little bit of Mexico for all. Sweet and satisfying, and made fresh all day."

"This was my first time trying this restaurant and let me say I'm a big fan of bag pizza so they won me over already. They known for their sauce being on the sweeter side. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming. The pie was cooked perfectly. The only flaw was a lot of the middle piece were cut smaller than my liking and the crust is extra thin. Those things aside this is a solid pie and they have half off on Monday and Tuesday for their family and jumbo size pizzas. The taste also reminded me of a pizza place on 113th & Halsted called Joeys that I loved as a kid. This is good pizza!"

I ended up taking my order to go, but there are a few tables inside to enjoy the fare in a simple, laid-back atmosphere.I ordered the truffle BLT and it was ready in just a few minutes. They stacked the sandwich full of bacon goodness, so it was quite decadent but very delicious. It was around $12 for the sandwich (w/o tax or tip) but given the portion size and ingredients, I thought this was a fair value. I would definitely swing by again if in the neighborhood."

"I had lunch here last week and immediately upon walking inside knew I was going to like it. The restaurant was full of diners which is always a good sign and I grabbed my tray and went down the cafeteria style line looking at my options...and there were many. I decided to go with the beef stew for $20. The server on the other side of the steam table grabbed a plate and loaded it up with big chunks of stew meat, carrots and potatoes and drenched it all in gravy and handed it to me. He also offered several bread roll options and I went with an onion roll. I thought about whether I should get a dessert too but my beef stew was so massive I thought that would be enough food for this meal. It easily was.The beef chunks were fork tender and absolutely delicious bathed in that gravy. The potatoes and carrots were equally good. Believe me there was no shortage of meat on that plate. So much so I couldn't finish it all leaving 2 pieces of meat behind. The onion roll was dense and delicious too. It was a fine tasting and filling meal. The portion sizes here are huge I saw some of the deli sandwiches other diners got and I can tell you they got their money's worth! I understand why Manny's is so successful and has been in business as long as it has. Great tasting food served in large quantities and reasonable prices equals success. Come here and you won't go home hungry."

"So I had a hankering to try out Jim's Original after my lovely wife and I ran some errands along the Elston corridor. Neither of us have been to the "Original" Jim's Original formerly located at Maxwell Street and now currently on Union, but we have heard good things about this much newer location at the crossroads of Elston, Diversey and Western. There is a free parking lot if you are driving here.The no-frills interior has vintage images of the OG location, along with metal stool seating if you are dining in. You order at the counter, and our food came out in a snappy fashion. We did not mind listening to the atmospheric bluesy soundtrack.All sandwiches are decently priced as they come with fries, so these are tasty value meals that you just cannot get at your average fast-food joint. My love enjoyed her hot dog, and I certainly liked my pork chop sandwich (yes it comes with the "bone in" so be sure not to bite into the bone). Our items are generously garnished with grilled onions and mustard, and the fries are good with or without ketchup. We were very satisfied with our meal at Jim's Original."

We opted to get a strawberry Matcha latte iced as well as a iced vanilla latte. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich. All of the beverages were delicious and served with plenty of ice. The breakfast sandwich although very simple with simple ingredients tasted delicious. It was comprised of toast, cheese, bacon, egg, and even guacamole/avocado. I did remove that as I didn't find it, very delicious. Always lively and boisterous in the locations. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Service was fast and friendly, and our order was almost immediately delivered. Good place for working. During busier hours it can be a little challenging finding a seat. There's a parking garage across the street."
