Nonna's Pizza & Sandwiches

Nonna's lives up to the hype! There is not one item on the menu that isn't delicious- consider this shop my current obsession.Nonna's catered a group lunch recently and there were ample leftovers for everyone, so I was lucky to try a good portion of their menu. The sandwich platter included halves of their chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, Pacino, roasted turkey, and meatball sandwiches. There were additional family style orders of their kale salad, antipasti chopped salad, and chocolate chip cookies.All were absolutely outstanding, but my favorite of the sandwiches was actually the turkey! It's beautiful in its simplicity, and all of the flavors went together so well. The bread was perfectly chewy, and I loved how the broccoli gave a nice crunch to the smooth dill cheese and sweet/spicy honey mustard mayo. A close second was the meatball sandwich, which was spicy, loaded with delicious cheese, and contained some of the most tender meatballs I've ever tried. The antipasti chopped salad was also an absolute explosion of flavors and textures- do not sleep on this! The chocolate chip cookies were about the size of my face, and were beautifully soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and dusted with a perfect sea salt sprinkle.I am already thinking about the next visit (hopefully in person), and can't recommend Nonna's highly enough!

*sigh* I was really looking forward to this Chicken Parm sandwich, bc I heard it was the best in Chicago... overall, I was disappointed in the sandwich. I felt as though the sandwich was dry (even with the extra sauce) and did not have an exciting flavor. I was surprised at how cheesy the sandwich was, but unfortunately that didn't do much to change my opinion on the flavor. Staff was nice though! Expect to wait a little after you make your order.

Was excited about the size of the chicken Parmesan sandwich and the amount of cheese that was on it, sadly that turned into disappointment. I ordered it through DoorDash and it was still nice and hot when it arrived, another plus. But the chicken was really tough and almost had no seasoning. There wasn't a balance of cheese and sauce, and I had ordered extra sauce too and it still wasn't enough. Pretty disappointed unfortunately.

Ohhhh Nonna's. You have my heart! It's tough to get stuck on a particular sandwich when you need to try more .. but like, this TUUUUUNA SAAAAANDWICH!!! The ingredients are always so fresh! I said it before but you can taste each flavor compliment the other! The way the tuna is buttery which compliments the avocado, and the crunch of the lettuce offsets the softness of the the fish.. yuuuuum!!! Yellow fin tuna was such an elite choice for this sandwich .Did I mention there's havarti dill pickle cheese?! .. (drool face) You can't go wrong with this sandwich! It's currently my #1 go to sandwich. I like it so much I might try to recreate it LOL! If you're looking for an elevated childhood favorite, this is IT!! Give it a go and let me know what you think!! Pretty busy spot for lunch on the weekday but got here just before the crowd. It took a long while to get our two sandwiches which they need to improved as most corporate people getting food have a limited amount of time for lunch. There's not much room to sit inside but there is a cute little outdoor area off the sidewalk we were able to enjoy. My idea before coming to this spot was Italian deli but it's funny because I don't really think of the two things we got as Italian- crispy chicken sandwich and pastrami. Flavor was good because we enjoyed the sauces and slaw on the sandwiches but the pastrami was a little tough.

Definitely eat this fresh. I waited until I got back to my office and I think it cost me. I got the "What the ?" as it was a mix of eggplant and chicken. First time having something like this and it didn't disappoint. Really nice breaded chicken that was juicy and crispy. While the chicken was crispy, the eggplant had very little breading if any. The bread was a good vessel for all the fillings. Mozzarella had a nice pull, arugula added freshness and chiles added spice. I do wish there were a few more chiles which is something I will ask for next time. Finally, the star of the show was the sweet and spicy mayo. It added so much flavor to the sandwich and really elevated it. Next time I come, I will probably try the meatball sub even though they have a good variety of cold sandwiches and pizza.

Really good sandwiches. Service was fairly fast given the amount of people there. No indoor seating and only a few tables outside. The what the? was an interesting combination and I enjoyed it, but I think I would get a different one next time I went. My boyfriend got the sausage and he really liked it.

I had to give you guys an update. I'm still obsessing over this place. I order delivery via DoorDash at least twice a week...my current go to is the GEM salad with their chicken cutlet on top!!! Let me tell you about the salad the moment you pour it onto a plate you instantly become mesmerized by the smell of this delicious perfectly breaded cutlet! The cutlet is cut even very well seasoned with a crispy and thin breading layer!!! You Como Ben that with the amazing Dressing, the avocado, the Parmesan cheese the caramelized onions, and Bam Heaven!!! this has become my favorite salad in Chicago!! I also like ordering the meatballs with this because I can just put some reheated pasta on top and it's a whole other meal. Don't snooze on NONNA's you will be pleasantly surprised.

Ordered from DoorDash to have delivered to a hotel during a large convention. Not only was delivery quick, the food (a chicken parm sandwich and a What that? Sandwich) were both fantastic. It surpassed what other convention goers were eating and half the price. We ate one half of each and saved the rest for later because it was too good to go to waste. Will definitely recommend to others!

1. Nonna's Meatball Sub - marinara, mozzarella, giardiniera $152. Sicilian style pepperoni slice $6Although both items were pricey, they certainly weren't small in portions. The meatball sub was so good. Great flavor in the meatballs in combination with the mozzarella and giardiniera. I would definitely get that again! The Sicilian pizza was salty and tasty. I liked the fluffy crust but could be crispier.Staff was very nice and helpful. Even though the format is grab and go, I really like the clean and stylish interior space. I asked to stay inside and eat and the interior design made it a pleasant experience.
