Clara S. "This place has every kind of Asian food you could want, which is nice as a crowd pleaser. The ambiance is a fun brightly lit environment, and the service was decently quick. I got a margarita and eventually a glass ofCabernet, and I wouldn't recommend either. We started with the poutine, which was decent in flavor (I'm not usually a fan of poutine though) and a big portion. We also got some sushi - the sloopin on the big island platter. This was my personal favorite dish and was another large portion. The pad see ewe with beef was standard, and the spicy Kung pao chicken was also standard. Nothing special but all satisfying huge portions. The Korean short ribs was decent actually as well. I would describe this restaurant as a bit Americanized since there's no real Asian specialty (they just have every cuisine), but still has a bit of authenticity to all the dishes."

Service was very good and we enjoyed a good variety of menu items including drinks, appetizers and different sushi rolls.I specially had a green tea, ginger salad, shrimp dumpling and a sushi roll with shrimp tempura and mozzarella on top. Everything was delicious. This restaurant has a large menu with many options. There are two patios (one in the back and one in the front) and a pretty large space for inside dining. Gabrielle B. "Came here for an 11 am weekday lunch/brunch? Not sure if this is the same menu that they use for dinner, available at 11 am, but it was fine. (Pro tip: make a reservation in advance)Definitely a trendy spot to visit. Beautiful decor and design, as well as the location on the beach, plus frozen bevvy flights - the girlies will flock here.Speaking of, while I was there, Shore Club was also hosting an influencer event (spotted a few of the LIB girls!). I think the event planners could've done a little more work to move the IV drip station out of the direct line of sight of guests of the regular dining guests because PINCH was on full display when you immediately walked into the restaurant. Really, not appetizing to see people connected to IVs and getting needles injected while you eat. Food was good. I had the Mikanos board, which was exactly like the description said: pita, chicken, and halloumi. They could've done better to add a little tomato or cucumber to balance the meal. Meanwhile, my friend got the Turkey club sandwich which was about 7" tall and there was no possible way to eat that in a graceful or handheld way, and it didn't come with a side. I think Shore Club should refine their menu a little bit and clearly differentiate between lunch and dinner (they also had sweet brunch items listed on the same menu, so it was just a cluster of everything they serve at all times during the week, but you can only get brunch on weekends so it was a tease)."

There's ample booths by the entrance and more tucked away in the back to accommodate varying party sizes. There's usually a daily special and I love the drinks they've come up with to celebrate the tournament. I wasn't fortunate enough to attend a college that regularly served beer out of a boot like my friends did so I appreciated the learning experience. I'll get to that in a minute. My partner really loves sports bars with huge tv's, so a last minute yelp search lead us to check out this establishment. We went on a Monday night and it was pretty empty, I'm sure it being freezing cold and Covid restrictions had a lot to do with that. I actually preferred that it wasn't as busy, the bar was clean and staff were very pleasant. There are tvs all over to watch sports which was great. Shoutout to our server Oliver, he was very nice and kept small talk with us. Ok now onto the food....it was good! The food came out fresh and hot (another perk of it being a slow night) and had excellent flavor. My burger and my partner's chicken sandwich were cooked perfectly. But cmon, you know the star of the show was the glass of bacon! I was hesitant to spend $10 for bacon but they give you 1lb of thick cut bacon, seasoned with maple and pepper. It's such good bacon I cannot stress enough lol. The drinks were good too, as my bio says I am a whiskey girl and was pleased to see a full and well kept bar. I will be back and you know I'm going to order more ."

Our wedding planner had reached out ahead of time since we'd have a large group coming in, and the owner was super accommodating and helpful. The place isn't very big but the atmosphere was so fun with disco lighting and people LOVED the karaoke. We also ordered several trays of fried food that I assume were good because everyone gobbled them up. We've had so many guests compliment us on how much fun it was and a perfect after party setting. Several people including my husband and I shut the bar down at 3am we were having so much fun. It's a hidden gem being on the 7th floor you do have to show ID and check in with security. We first sat in the big blue chairs but opted for a regular table and chairs. On the day we went it was very sunny, 80's and beautiful. On the rooftop there was plenty of flowers. While the flowers were beautiful, plenty of wasp or bees buzzing around. No one got stung but they were aggressive. (bring you epi-pen if allergic). For food, we got the double smash burgers with fries. My bestie got the pork shoulder skillet with sourdough toast. Overall the food was good and priced fairly. I will say that the menu was limited. For drinks, there was a full bar. We opted for bloody mary and white wine. The drinks were pricey. Downside was that the drinks served in hard plastic cups. White wines just doesn't taste the same in plastic cup. I would give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars."

Steve A. "Here is another bar to hit up on Western Avenue. It's close to a few other favorites. Sportsman's Club is a neighborhood place with kind of a sports theme. For sure it's different than a typical sports bar. This isn't quite a dive bar because the drinks aren't that cheap and are too good, but you can find plenty of hip vibes. As far as the sports theme, it's not like a sports bar. It has a few TVs, so you can watch a game. The decor is pretty old school, with lots of taxidermy. About the only bad thing to say about it. The chandeliers are made of antlers, and there's a few dead deer heads on the walls. Good choice among cheap and more expensive. Lots of people prefer beer it seems. It's about $10 for a cocktail. There's no food but you can bring some or have it delivered from one of the nearby places. Classic old hipsterness. It's kind of dated for sure, especially with the taxidermy and the dead stuff. The bar is nice but will get complaints from PETA and whoever."

The DJ knew what to play based upon the crowd so that was cool. I chose to order the fried chicken and donuts for $24.00. Pretty steep if you ask me. Especially as a breakfast/ brunch dish. The taste wasn't anything special. The syrup used was minimal and overly sticky. The donuts were more so wanna be beignets and were incredibly dry. I mean a Popeyes biscuits and this donut could go flake for flake based upon how dry it was. No joke. They used boneless thighs, which are fine for holding flavor but I would've appreciated a larger cut of meat for the price. As I've been to the Duplex before for dinner, this is the one time I'd say go for dinner versus brunch."
