Absolutely amazing little hideout! We had such a good meal and loved the atmosphere in here. Staff was super nice and quick. Pupu platter is a must! We also had the poke, kalbi ribs, and honey garlic shrimp noodles. All excellent!Slight walk from museum campus, but definitely worth it. 10/10 and would absolutely come here again!

My friend & I came here post a day at the Field Museum around 2:30 or 3. The place wasn't busy at all and i'd assume because it was a week day between lunch and dinner. They have some daily specials as well as happy hour. We opted for the daily Wednesday special of some Kailua pulled pork sliders. We had also ordered a shrimp pasta type of dish and an appetizer. Overall, all of the food was above our expectations. We had also ordered an alcoholic beverage each and they were strong and really good! I think we found the food to be a little pricier than we were expecting overall, but nothing extremely different than how everything costs nowadays. The service was really friendly here and we appreciated that as well. You can't go wrong with the decor and vibes of Hawaii!

Decided on a solo dinner, and tested this spot out. It was definitely a full house and a wait, but not too long. It has a big Hawaiian theme with tikis, the tiki mugs, the decorations in general were so cute. Service was fast and efficient and the food doesn't take long either. I anticipated more Hawaiian dish options, but it was more so Thai options. So I tried:*Pad Thai with shrimp - hefty portion, but the sauce in the Thai was a little different than what I'm accustomed to. Big portion of shrimp as well. *Macaroni Salad - it had cabbage in it which I'm not used to either. Taste not bad *Shrimp Tempura- a lot of batter, and it's served with duck sauce. I think I would try a different dish if I decided to come back. Try this spot out, and give your opinions!

Great food! Pad kee mao was spicy and delicious. Lumpia was crispy and light. Ultra fast service and so friendly. Staff is exceptional! Ambiance is fun. Did not order tiki drinks but wanted to, maybe next time. 4 other people in our party ordered Monday special pad see ewe. One of my favorites, but I ordered combo poke bowl. Freshness was in point! My dad was shocked not visiting here before after living near by for 13 years. Loooking forward to our return. A+

The ambiance is super pretty. You feel you're walking into a full on tiki lounge. The service is great. The appetizers were alright. I felt the over cooked the sample platter items way too much. The drinks were strong. My only issue is their happy hour isn't happy. It's limited and makes no sense for beer to be sold on Fridays while all the other days have cocktails. Also offering $15 fish and chips isn't a happy hour deal. Thats typical common bar deals. I felt the ambiance was supposed to make up for the lack of the food and deals.

When your brother, who is now also a big fan of AO Hawaiian Outpost, invites to treat you to lunch here, is it a trick question/how could I resist?! Lovely day to enjoy the patio and wonderful service from waitress Action (sp?). If there was a rewards program, I'd be in the money lol

What a fun, funky place! My husband and I stopped in last night for dinner and were really impressed with the variety of food options and the high quality of everything we ate! Drinks were dangerous---strong and sweet, but that goes with territory of tiki-style drinks. Stop in for the experience, variety and a great meal!

This place has every kind of Asian food you could want, which is nice as a crowd pleaser. The ambiance is a fun brightly lit environment, and the service was decently quick. I got a margarita and eventually a glass ofCabernet, and I wouldn't recommend either. We started with the poutine, which was decent in flavor (I'm not usually a fan of poutine though) and a big portion. We also got some sushi - the sloopin on the big island platter. This was my personal favorite dish and was another large portion. The pad see ewe with beef was standard, and the spicy Kung pao chicken was also standard. Nothing special but all satisfying huge portions. The Korean short ribs was decent actually as well. I would describe this restaurant as a bit Americanized since there's no real Asian specialty (they just have every cuisine), but still has a bit of authenticity to all the dishes.

A full on Hawaiian theme restaurant with pan Asian food so there's something here for whatever you're craving. We tried the crab Rangoons (very filled! Lots of onion), spicy Malaysian deluxe noodle soup, and the spicy Indonesian noodle soup.Large portions, fun decor, friendly service, and I believe they have brunch performances with live music on the weekend which I'll need to come back for next time!

solid hawaiian themed/asian fusion restaurant in chicago. loved the atmosphere and loved the way the restaurant was organized and presented. the staff were all wonderful and the food was excellent. i will say the pho wasn't the strongest. really good bowl of pho but it was a solid 7.6 out of 10. good and consistent but not the best pho i've had.other than that, there were tons of different dishes on their menu. the staff and restaurant being so wonderful, clean and kind. makes me want to come back again with my gf and/or friends and just enjoy more food they have to offer.highly recommend
