I met my daughter and her friend here for drinks recently. They had both gotten off work late, so it was around 9pm when we arrived. Service was excellent, and there were a wide variety of cocktails to try. My daughter and her friend chose the espresso martinis, and I chose a glass of albarino. Everyone was very happy!

This bar was a splash challenging to find, but great when we finally did!The space is moody and romantic and they have an outside patio! The space and drinks were great. Service was totally cold and unfriendly, but whatever. If you're there with good peeps and enjoying the bevvies, it's all good.

Great and welcoming service right off the bat. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect place to come and unwind by yourself or with a small group of friends. Espresso martini was done well.

Great views on the outdoor deck. Tasty cocktails with pretty presentation. Dim lighting inside with romantic vibes. It was hard to get the attention of a bartender and took quite a while to get a drink. However, based on the view and good cocktails I would recommend popping in for a drink if nearby.

Swung by Z bar pretty late on a weekday night. It took us ages to find the entrance to Z bar as you have to take two different elevators to reach the entrance. The hostess was immediately able to seat us. We got a nice big booth for just the three of us. We tried the Bangkok Jam and The Last word cocktails. Both were really good but a tad bit strong for me. The service was pretty fast. We didn't order any food as it was pretty late but the cocktails came with a bowl of nuts for the table. They were soooooo good. Loved the sweet and salty nuts combo. The server was very friendly and approachable. The ambience was nice although a bit dated IMO. Overall, the vibe was fun and I will definitely visit again.

Great experience at bar with Adam. Get his "champagne shooters"! Well prepared Martinis exactly as requested. Bar food is delicious and well served by Amber and Armand (and also Edina). What a great team!

We stayed at the Peninsula hotel, and after spending an hour at the Milk Room, we decided to try the bar at the hotel. This was the perfect spot to wind down after a day of traveling. My husband and I did not have a reservation, but we were able to get seated. The menu included food, so we ordered a light dish along with our drinks. We chose to have the Mediterranean flatbread, which was very good. It was loaded with arugula, and had a delicious red sauce with cheese. I ordered a bourbon cocktail called the Surprise Surprise cocktail. It had a beautiful two tone look and was beautifully garnished. It also wasn't too sweet. I tend to enjoy drinks that are a little bitter or sour, so this one was perfect. The bar was steadily busy for a Thursday night, and it had both indoor and outdoor seating.

Ruby made the experience beyond great. Her warm presence and knowledge of craft cocktails was second to none in the city of Chicago. I am already looking forward to my next visit

Unexpected surprise! Located at a rooftop location in The Peninsula hotel. You'll enjoy taking in the luxurious ambience of the establishment as you travel up to the lobby and then another set of elevators up to Z bar. You step into a bright airy space with elevated lounge vibes. It was fairly packed on a Saturday at 4pm. Seats were full but you can get drinks and find a bar spot as people rotate in/out.Great cocktail and drinks list accompanied by the best bar nuts you'll ever get on a complimentary basis. The Bangkok Jam and espresso martini were great! Downside is that they average $20 a drink as you would expect in a place like this. All in all a good spot to bring visitors or a date for cocktails!

Part of The Peninsula- Chicago. Reservations require a $50 minimum per person but that's easily met with food/drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly with great outdoor seating/ambiance that overlooks the city (very chill vibe, good music), good food, and great small plates.I loved the entire vibe of the place for something chill to do on a sunny afternoon. I love caviar but the caviar potatoes are cold with minimal flavor. The burrata was full of flavor with fresh heirloom tomatoes- definitely would recommend for burrata lovers. The seasonal sliders with the jalapeño aioli- definitely recommend! The buns were crispy, sautéed onions, and overall amazing combination of flavors.
