"I think this is the original Roostar formerly known as Vietnam Poblano. It was surprising to walk in on a Tuesday night and note banh mi shop without any Vietnamese workers. The kitchen is a lot larger than you would expect from a banh mi shop, and I didn't see anything specific on the menu that would require that many people so they must do a lot of volume during the day.Their prices are more expensive than the typical Bellaire or Midtown shop, but their sandwiches are larger and they fill them well. They have two kinds of tofu sandwiches, one that is lemon pepper while the other is garlic butter. You can also get both, and you should get both to get the best tofu banh mi in Houston."
"Why 5 stars? Because this is definitely one of the best banh mi spots in Houston. --- --- ---And the only thing more prevalent in Houston than banh mi is Tex-Mex, so that's some pretty high praise. Actually, it's unfair to just call this an banh mi shop because they have a ton of great options on the menu. But they have several different types of banh mi, and I really loved the OG. No notes - it was perfect.I also ordered some bulgogi fries and couldn't resist trying the coconut cream corn. Both were home runs. I've never seen coconut cream corn before, but it was everything you'd want it to be and something I think more restaurants should do. The bulgogi fries were really thick and curly, with all of the awesomeness piled on top. The manager hooked me up with a couple samples of the pho and the slaw. The pho was really enjoyable, but the slaw stole the show. I have never had anything quite like it and would never come back to Roostar again without getting this. It's a combination of unique flavors and texture in every bite that must be eaten by every future visitor of Roostar until the end of time. I've had multiple Roostar locations bookmarked for years and was very close to visiting one on several different occasions, but it just was never in the cards. Today, I made sure to finally stop in and am kicking myself for waiting so long!"

"I came here once with my family because I was in the mood for good Vietnamese food. I was coming from Chicago and I knew there is a big Vietnamese population in Houston and surrounding areas. This place was highly rated and it did not disappoint. It was very easy to find parking since they have a good size lot. Service was superb, they took good care of us. We ordered a variety of dishes but I did not taste all of them. We ordered crabby cream rolls, Fu Manchung wings, pho-licious, vermicelli boom cha y'all, and hot and mild wontonic. There was another dish but I forgot the name. Everything was tasty and filling. We actually came here when the old owners were still running this place. Quality wise I'm not sure how it is now but I hope it's the same."
"Solid Pho spot! Was visiting Houston for the weekend and we were craving some soup on a cold day. Service was great and food came out very quick. #1. Cha Gio- Vietnamese eggs rolls were good. I liked that they had shrimp and pork inside. Nicely fried and crispy, good starter.#11. Pho Tai- broth was very flavorful and eye round steak was great. Ordered the large bowl and it was very filling. Plenty of bean sprouts, Thai basil and jalapeños to add. YUM"
"Pho Ben is a well established Vietnamese restaurant in the Sugarland area and always bustling during dinner time, so plan ahead if you're coming with a large group! I ordered a large (only a one dollar difference from the small!) and it was excellent all around. Service was remarkably fast and the workers don't check on you much, leaving you to enjoy your meal with minimal interruptions."
"I have now had the pleasure of dining here a few times. I have never been disappointed. This time I enjoyed the lemongrass sandwich, tofu spring rolls and of course the little lagniappe served at the end- a spoonful of crème brûlée complete with torched sugar. It was all incredible! I wish I lived closer as I would be there every week!"
"I was going to get some ramen after church today. On the way there, I saw a guy waving a sign about dogs. I parked in front of the pet store. Suddenly, my tummy said, "Feed me. Feed me."Then, I looked around and found Old Saigon Cafe right across from a busy driveway. Good, I thought. Let me get some food. Normally, Vietnamese restaurants that serve pho and noodles would say pho on the window. Not this one, I can't find anything close to it. I had to read a few reviews by my Yelp friends to verify. The prices are competitive to other pho restaurants in Chinatown. Service and food quality were a lot better than I expected. The menu looks simple and well organized. I came during late lunch hours on a Sunday afternoon. There were few tables of customers already. Waiter was very helpful. I wanted pho with tripe and tendon. He recommended the "special pho" off the menu for $15.00. Yeah. Give me that. I asked to "study" the menu for a bit. Then, I noticed Fried Artichoke for $10.00. I didn't know what to expect. Until it got to my table. Wow. It knocked my socks off all the appetizers I have ever tried. The "lightly fried" would be seared in my cookbook. Chopped cilantro and pepper flakes dressed up the bed while artichoke hearts with long stem stood up. Spectacular plating technique. The pho soup base was delicious, no additional sauce required. I also loved the tripes. They were seasoned while other pho restaurants skipped out. I usually have pho soup leftover. But this time, I chose to drink it up. It's that delicious. Yay!!After eating (tummy said thank you), I loved the view of traffic on Westheimer. Watching cars gone by definitely relaxes me. Yup. I'll be back to try other dishes."
"Holy shit, people weren't lying when they say that everything is bigger in Texas. This restaurant is massive, what kind of buffet has a designated area reserved for valet parking? What type of person needs their car valet to attend a buffet? LOL. I was very excited to try my first Vietnamese buffet, didn't even know there was such a thing, but we're in Houston where it contains one of the largest Vietnamese population in the states. There's a variety of food; a street food station, dessert station, and noodle soup station. There's no need to order drinks since you can get a sugarcane or thai iced tea drink from the dessert station. The portions for the noodle soup station was just right, just so you can have room to sample more things. At the end of the day, it's still a buffet so it's buffet quality, but for $30 a person for AYCE, I can't complain with the value. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)"
"Don Café & Sandwich makes the best bánh mì sandwiches in Houston! Each sandwich is made with exceptionally fresh ingredients - the pork is flavorful, the pâté creamy, the veggies crisp, and the baguette lightly brushed with butter and toasted. We called ahead and placed an order for pick up because Don's can get very busy, especially on the weekends. The service is always fast and friendly, and many of the staff members speak multiple languages. The inside of the restaurant is fairly typical of a locally owned Vietnamese restaurant in Bellaire. It combines function and typical Asian decor - traditional money plant, lucky cat, and a tribute to Buddha.Note: Make sure you have cash on hand because Don's does not take credit cards!"
"As versatile and as popular the neighborhood of Montrose is, it has always been limited in the Asian food arena, in particular Vietnamese fare. Enter Lúa Viet, which has quickly become an destination for many folks looking for a modern approach to the cuisine. There's a lot of good things here, so I'll start with some positives::: It's beautiful: The space is probably the most appealing thing, at least to me. It's bright with a lot of contemporary pieces that give off a casual vibe but also a tinge of sophistication. They've done an excellent job with the layout and designed it in a way where it's thoughtful and spacious. Whether it's the outdoor seating, a solo meal, or a group gathering, it's all possible here.:: Vegan / vegetarian options: I may not be vegan, but I appreciate it when there is an extensive list of dishes that are geared to the non-meaty palate. :: The parking lot: parking is a way of life in H-Town and to have a dedicated space with numerous spots is a luxury that is not common in this part of town. And the things I don't love so much::: For the most part, the food was a bust. It didn't speak to me the same way it has for many others and this is after coming here a handful of times and ordering something different each time. There is a certain essence of flavors, from the nuoc mam to the ingredients, and I wasn't getting it the same way that I would in other more traditional places in Bellaire.I was not very excited with their signature Lúa VIet pho ga, or pho bo and was really not feeling their mi xao or hu tieu. I think the bo luc lac was probably the best dish I had in there, but that was just from the tender chunks of meat. The bun vermicelli, cha gio, and many of the plant based versions were bland. I had to go a little harder on the seasoning to get it down.:: The prices. $16 noodle soup bowls? $17 stir fried dishes? I know the rent in the hood is not cheap and the usage of their fresher ingredients might justify the prices but foodflation is not on my side when the food is not my bag.:: Ordering format: I don't mind the somewhat unconventional format of ordering at the front, certainly this format exists in many fast casual places. However, I feel like the staff isn't particularly jazzed to take the order. Two instances felt like my group and I were inconveniencing the staff member for ordering so much. Not a deal breaker but far from a highlight. At the end of the day, I feel they answer a certain demand that exists in this part of town. However, it doesn't really align with my tastebuds or wallet as much as I would like and I hope that changes one day."
"I've had a hard time finding good pho while visiting Texas and so this place was such a welcome surprise! I'll start by saying due to the location and empty parking lot, my partner did not want to go in. The location was in close proximity to our hotel though so I assured him that the reviews were excellent and convinced him to at least go inside. When you enter, You order and pay at the counter and then take a seat in the quaint bistro seating area. I loved the old French-quarter cafe vibes. There is also a few patio seats available. The water and silverware are self-serve before you seat yourself. We got the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl, shrimp spring rolls and rare beef flank steak pho. The food came out really fast, portion sizes were large and food was delicious! Highly recommend Ba Mien Pho if you're in the area!"
"One of my family's go-to restaurants. They seem to have renovated and gotten more staff. They are very attentive now; we actually had to tell them no to refilling our waters multiple times. Prices have increased, though. The hot pot is great during cold weather. It's not your typical Chinese or Mongolian hotpot. The wonton Noodle soup or banh xep (bigger shrimp pork wontons) are both delicious and our go-to.Peking duck whole $41.96 - comes with 10 baos. Super crispy, thin skin. Lots of meat. They also stir fry the leftover meat with veggies and serve it as an additional entree.Rice Cake $10.50 - their infamous appetizer. Always good and crispy.Salt toasted squid $16.95 - very crispySeafood pan fried noodles $16.95 - I get the crunchy noodles. Comes with a lot of seafood (they used to be stingy) and noodles.Snow pea leaves with garlic sauce $15.95 - not cheap but big serving.General tso chicken, walnut shrimp, and beef flat rice noodle are also good. I would like to try the salt toasted chicken wings."

I came to check out a vietnamese restaurant because I didn't know what to eat for lunch and I was starving. When i came in the place was kind of busy with several tables taken, people waiting to order or waiting to pick up a to-go order. I viewed the menu and basically wanted to order everything on the menu. I talked through the menu with the cashier, Dat who gave me details of items on the menu. I decided to order 1 order of egg rolls (2), 1 order of bread with pate and butter, a deluxe special sandwich with pork, and an order of curry fries. Everything was super delicious and I definitely over ordered simply because I was hungry but overall I would definitely come back with friends to get lunch here! The service was also very good. The staff are friendly and food comes out quickly. Definitely good for groups of 2-4 but not more than that becuase the space is fairly small

This is a cute little restaurant that my friend and I tried when we were in Houston. I was very surprised at how tasty the food was since I love the Vietnamese food in Sacramento and I have high standards for Vietnamese food. The customer service was amazing! The staff were very helpful on explaining the items on the menu. We got the garlic bread for free since we checked in on Yelp. The bread was amazing! So flavorful yet perfectly crispy. We got the fries to try, the meat and sauce were very tasty. I got the grilled pork box which was enough for two meals. I took the rest for lunch for the next day. I will definitely come back to this spot the next time I'm in town.

The food is amazingggggggg! The flavors are everything! My favorite dish is the spicy wontonic. I could eat every thing on menu lol I can promise you will not regret the visit.

This has been my go to pho spot for over a decade plus. I appreciate the consistency and the broth is just very comforting and nostalgic for me. The service is fairly quick for pho to come out. The egg rolls may take a bit longer depending on how busy they are but not bad. Although this last trip they completely forgot our egg roll order sadly but life goes on. I've ordered here through door dash when desperate and can't get out the house but it doesn't taste the same as dining in. The ambiance is cozy and reminiscent of late 90s for me. I don't think much has changed and it's what I appreciate. It looks like they have new menus now and not the flip spiral booklet so that's exciting to not have to flip through. The parking in the plaza can get a bit busy but there is an upstairs you can park in as well.

Personally, this place was too Americanized for me. It wasn't as authentic as I thought it would be. It does taste pretty decent, but not for me. The prices here are pretty premium so I thought it would taste better. Portions are good size and presentation on dishes are nice. Would I come back? No. I prefer somewhere in Katy Asia town OR Bellaire.

Cafe SaigonClosed on Mondays, this Vietnamese restaurant has Pho with vegetarian broth, salads, noodles curry options, and some more...The coffee was great. For food we got the soft spring rolls and the Pho. Spring rolls with the peanut sauce was good, the soup was kinda salty with not many vegetables, still ok.The service was good, they were very polite but the plates and especially the glasses were.... mmm, how do I describe it, all had watermarks, u know like u get them out of the washer and don't wipe, so there are spots all over it....so did the plates, they had some scraps of cut vegetables, fresh vegetables as in probably it was used for cutting the jalapeños that came with the soup or something.... Oh, and there is cream brûlée as a little complimentary dessert. The restaurant itself is well maintained. I read many reviews about their curry and I do want to try their salad, so next time, I might just get a to go order.

This is so unheard of....AYCE Vietnamese food??? THIS IS MY HEAVEN. This is literally every Vietnamese cuisine lover's dream. I could of stayed here the whole day if my stomach space allowed for it. Any Vietnamese dish/dessert you could think of, they had it and it was amazing. For the price they charge, it was so worth it and affordable, especially at lunch. I'm just so amazed by the options you could choose from. Coming from Hawaii, we typically have the basic pho, bun bo hue, banh mis, etc....idk why it's so hard to find particular dishes like banh cuon, banh khot, bot chien in restaurants. This is why I love coming to the mainland for Vietnamese food because they have it all. They even have AYCD Sugar Cane Juice -- need I say more? If you're ever in Houston, this is a must visit!!!

"Great Asian spot in the Heights. Typical American Style Chinese menu but a step up in quality. Dining in is an even better experience, but either way I've always enjoyed this spot. Lots of good options to try and friendly staff."
"I live right across the street from this joint and I come here probably once a month or so for their pho and dumplings. A large pho with all the fixings is roughly $14, which is pretty hard to beat these days. The broth is heavy on the flavor and light on the color, which means they took their time developing a clean, yet flavorful, broth. They're always very fast on their takeout orders, which is a huge plus. And the place is always full, another great sign. All in all, I definitely recommend."
"A friend of mine selected a restaurant for NYE '23 and chose this fancy, Vietnamese-French fusion. I typically don't go out or dine out for NYE but thought it'd be a nice change to do something fun. Reservations were made ahead of time. Location is in River Oaks. Valet parking is available, and there's an app that will inform you when your vehicle is ready. Walking in, I saw patio seating outside, but it was a chilly night, so no one was out there unless you were valeting. Check in at the hostess stand right at the door. Not much space between that and the staircase when there's a line to check in. You're not seated unless the whole party is present, which includes a part of 2. I was early, so they told me there was a seat upstairs at the bar. I ordered the Le Violete gin cocktail that was tasty and topped with egg white, which I'm a fan of. It was around $20. When my friend arrived fashionably late as usual, we were seated at a small table for two. There were small, gold and white balloons floating at the ceiling. Every time one would drift down, a waiter would casually grab it by the string and walk off with it. It was a bit comical. The island decor and dark interior/fixtures reminded me of Tommy Bahamas restaurants. So for the food, it was a prix fixe menu, unbeknownst to us since their website didn't advertise it. I look at menus ahead of time, so I was thrown off and disappointed that I wouldn't be able to try a few dishes I wanted. You choose an appetizer, entree , and dessert for $115. I had the pan fried chicken dumplings, shaking beef with salad, and the creme brulee. I ordered the garlic noodles as extra ($10) to try. The meal itself was ok and NOT worth $250 with 18% gratuity added and another small percentage of alcohol/food gratuity added. I really only liked the cocktail and creme brulee. The chicken dumplings were slightly soggy at the bottom because they put the soy sauce at the bottom of the plate instead of on the side for dipping. The shaking beef was filet but wasn't as tender as I expected. It was also a little sweeter but ok paired with the vinaigrette salad it came with. The garlic noodles were underwhelming and did not taste garlicky and was also on the sweeter side. The creme brulee melted in your mouth like butter. I think it's one of the best creme brulee's I've had. The little madeleines it came with don't really add to the dessert. Plus, traditional Parisian madeleines don't really taste like that. It was a hint of lemon and dry.It was a busy night, and the place was consistently being seated as people came and went. I personally wouldn't come back because I could have really good Vietnamese food elsewhere for less than half the cost. It was a decent experience for NYE. The least they could've done was throw in a glass of champagne since it was NYE."
"The pho broth is some of the best and the meat is good quality. This visit my friend had pho but I had the dumpling and pork spring rolls, which were good. All the things I've tried from here have been tasty. The inside is very cute. Big bar. Nice decor. The patio plus covered for outdoor seating. The staff is friendly. Food can take a bit to come out but not horrible."
"This is simply a go-to spot in town! It's got a great atmosphere, chic decor for a Pho spot and MUCH cheaper than most of your new "hip" pho spots in central Houston.I am a big advocate of their spring rolls because they use their banh mi meat and it is just out of this world! I haven't found many spots that serve a more unique menu of spring rolls.Their pho is delicious, it's got plenty of flavor and a great feel good dish after a busy week.I highly recommend this place, the people here are so welcoming!"
"Every time I see Blood Bros BBQ on social media, I get excited. Because it brings me a good feeling from many memories of Bao Battle, Banh Mi Cookoff and other fundraising events benefiting the AAPI communities. Recently, I finally set foot at the restaurant. My first dish was the Smoked Brisket Burnt End on Steam Buns on the daily special menu back in February. My recent visit was on the last day of May. I went to check out the restaurant for a party. I want to be able to accommodate my guests with best possible experience. I spoke to the cashier, I believe they can deliver the experience that I am hoping for. While I was there, I ordered a Green Thai Curry Boudin Eggroll. It was a takeout. So, I didn't expect to be anything fancy. But when I opened the box... Wow, I was amazed by the presentation. The flavor, OMG, my taste buds were dancing in my mouth. So many exciting flavors and perfect combination of sweet, savory and spiciness. Not sure when I will get to see this item on the menu again. On my next visit, I am going to try the standard BBQ items on the menu. With the dining reward provided by the restaurant, I will be back more often."
"My wife loved her Angel Island combo smoothy, peach, mango and strawberry. I really enjoyed my iced Viet coffee with condensed milk. Wifey had the regular sized chicken noodle soup....I helped and we still couldn't finish all of it, very good. I usually try the grilled pork banh mi with a fried egg on my first visit to a "new for us" place......very tasty. We also shared some fried chicken dumplings...some of the best we've ever had.....we'll be back for more goodies. They have a bunch of locations so you should be able to find one near you."
"Really great storeAnd the boba tea is goodPlus the noodles The store is a little bit small but cuteBut the food is goodService is okBut I think they need more hands to maintain the place kind of slow"
"We were driving to Missouri City for a birthday party and wanted to grab a bite to each before the party. I found V Lotus by Yelping the best restaurants in the area! Restaurant was very modern, presentation was fantastic and the interior was so clean. Service was attentive and quick. We ordered the V Lotus Spring rolls and boy were these amazing! Everything was the perfect ratio inside the spring roll.. loved that it didn't contain a bunch of fillers and were very fresh! I honestly thought this place looked Americanized and less traditional due to aesthetics and the ingredient combination in the v lotus spring rolls but boy did they prove me wrong! It's not the traditional spring roll but everything worked well together and made a very good roll. We also ordered the tofu curry - more like a Thai coconut curry than a Vietnamese curry but amazing flavors. Tofu was tender, a bit soggy cause they soaked up the curry but I didn't mind. The lemongrass tofu vermicelli had the same tofu but they were grilled, with a bit of smokiness. The lemongrass sauce was saucy - I was expecting more of a dry lemongrass but it made a good tofu. The vermicelli soaked it up so I didn't think the dish needed the sauce, which also wasn't the traditional fish sauce. The desserts were equally as delicious, not traditional Vietnamese at all. You have a bay leaf panna cotta and a Thai mango sticky rice that was yummy and was a great end to an already delicious meal. I wish the sticky rice wasn't so dense and thick but the coconut sauce was yum! My friend liked it so much she said she would drive back to Missouri City just to come here!"
"Considering how many international chains are in Katy Asian Town, I'm pleased to see a local one like Yummy Pho & Bo Ne in the mix. There aren't many Vietnamese spots in this part of town, let alone places that offer something as niche as bo ne. The dining space can be a little tight, especially on the weekends when it's often a full house. There is a good number of seats in here, even if the tables are a tad too close to each other. They have TVs playing along the wall and in the background. They're often more busy than not, which I have always viewed as a good thing.Food wise, it's all somewhere in the middle. I liked their nem cuon, cha gio, but thought their nui xao was lacking. The short rib pho normally has a wow factor to it, but the meat was tough and the broth was very average. I appreciate the amount of meat in the bowl, which was hearty overall. The presentation for the bo ne was on point, even if the meat felt a tinge overcooked. The spam and egg are always a nice touch and the banh mi was soft enough to soak up some of the juice / sauce. I don't think the dish was bad per se, but it wasn't as impressive as other places I've been and certainly doesn't outdo some of their sister locations. The service feels somewhat understaffed and the waits can sometimes be a bit of a drag. Even though this is my least favorite Yummy Pho location, I still will come here in hopes of finding something that they do better than the rest."
"We were in the area visiting a farmers market and a half price books, the book store was better. After this foodies must refuel and maybe try another new eatery. Pho Dien 1960 had rave reviews and this will be another one. They have a small, medium and large version of their stellar pho. My wife enjoyed and shared a small bowl of chicken pho ga with rice and noodles. I need to see if I can get a small bowl next time and steal some of the broth, dipping my pork banh mi into the pho broth makes a tasty Sammy even better...and I don't drip as much across the table. We also shared a couple fried egg rolls. I had a fried egg added to my pork banh mi. I also enjoyed a Vietnamese iced coffee. Friendly people and great food."
"Well, well! I expected an asian grill that had plenty of soup choices, to include pho. However, after carefully contemplating their menu, I tried something different- a regular grilled sandwich. Turns out that this was no ordinary chicken sandwich. For $5.89, I received a culinary work of art with flavors of deliciousness that exploded within my mouth! Grilled chicken (tasted more beefy) with diced carrots, green peppers and onions, with a dash of cheese. Good gawd! Absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is located behind a gas station, and is somewhat difficult to find off of the road. I was originally referred to the restaurant by someone, of which I'm glad they did. No table service here- more of order at the front, and get outta the way.Pretty good stuff!"
"1.11.23I was coming from a doctor's appt and was looking for a good lunch spot. I am not very familiar with the Woodlands/Shenandoah area,so of course pulled up Yelp to help me out. This was only a few miles from my appt so I decided to give them a try. It is located next to Sam Moon. The parking lot was quite large which was nice. I walked in and was happily surprised. From the outside it looks small but it was not. The decor was very nice and the dining area was quite large. It was very clean and tidy. It was not quite noon yet but there was around 4-5 tables with customers already. I was seated right away and the I looked over the large menu. I did not see Banh mi sandwiches. Which was ok. I ordered a grilled pork vermicelli dishes (no peanuts) and an avocado smoothie. The service was top notch. There was several waiters and waitresses working. They all were very attentive. As I was there more and more customers were arriving. (That's a good sign)My food arrived and it looked delicious. And it was. The grilled pork was cooked perfect, slightly chard but not burnt. The veggies were crisp and fresh. My smoothie was so creamy and not to sweet. It was served with both a spoon and a straw. The spoon worked the best. Just Excellent. All in all this was a win for me. What a great find! I will return when I am in the area."
"Sinh Sinh is the place to be while in the Chinatown District of Houston. Our party of 7 ordered five dishes to share family style --1) one whole Peking Duck (comes with a bowl of duck soup)2) Chinese Broccoli with Garlic3) House Spicy Tofu with Minced Pork4) Singapore Style Vermicelli Noodles - extra spicy5) Steamed Striped Bass with Ginger, Scallions, and CilantroEverything was perfect. From taste to presentation, these guys are in the game hard. I'm not from the area but I take it that this is the restaurant to be at in Houston for a Chinese family style dinner. The menu is huge -- pages and pages of so many speciality dishes. I'm so impressed that I'm at a loss for words.I'll definitely be back for another meal!"
"Someone on yelp told me about the spot and I'm glad I gave them a try.Anytime a restaurant goes out of their way and has something like a drive-through that is an automatic win in my book. You can simply call in your order pick it up in the drive-through and go about your business. I got a deal on door dash so I use my 40% off coupon to try them out. Let me tell you it was worth it.Food: I got the grilled pork with egg and eggrolls. The Vietnamese eggrolls are probably my favorite. They were so fresh and grilled to perfection. They were absolutely amazing. The grilled pork was very good and very fresh but it was not like your typical charbroiled Vietnamese party fine at most to some restaurants. It was thinly slice but it was good and it's on right. Just not what I'm used to getting from Vietnamese restaurants. The rice was good, the egg was good,. I was very happy with the food. The people that work there are extremely nice and very friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and they make sure they take care of your meal exactly like you ordered it. This is a hidden gem. I will definitely go back. Good job guys."
"This is an easy five star review. I am shocked I am barely reviewing this place and I am also shocked I don't come here more. Everything was really good. Probably the best general tsos chicken I have ever had! Cooked to crispy perfection. Food: we had quite the selection of food. Generals tsos chicken which was amazing. I really liked it a lot! Fried to crispy perfection! Full of flavor. The chicken fried rice was excellent! Their small size is huge. The teriyaki chicken was really good too. So much flavor and very fresh. The wings were very good as well. My girl had the hunan beef and it was very good too. All of the dishes we had were very tasty. This will be my go to for Chinese/viet when I am in the area. The service was great too! In and out. Food came out fresh and fast. Waitstaff is very good and helpful. We will be back soon"
"I do not have a mission to try every "Banh Mi" place in this city and this place is more pho than sammy, and I think they open more new ones for every one I check off....That being said the pho my wife got was tasty, she got the combo #2, chicken noodle pho with a drink and two fried eggrolls, I almost didn't get to try the soup/broth, she liked it that much. I got and enjoyed a grilled pork banh mi and some fried egg rolls. The pork was a little too chewy in a few spots, deducting one star 'cause there were a few pieces I couldn't disassemble, the egg rolls were great. I loved my iced Viet style coffee, they bring a small drip coffee filter sitting on a cup with condensed milk in it, it sits on the cup for a few minutes, a smart person would figure out that stirring well before pouring it over ice cubes would achieve optimum results.....oh well, still came out tasty, the gentleman that waited on us asked if I wanted it strong....yes please! We'll be back."
"Big portions, especially for the price! Service was super quick; food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Broth was flavorful, and meat was very tender. Noodles were okay; could have been cooked a tiny bit longer. Would recommend!"
"A no frills banh mi shop that was our FAVORITE vietnamese restaurant in Houston, and better than the banh mis in SoCal (Although this was the only place that beat Cali in our books)--dac biet banh mi: perfectly crusty bread, it had the right amount of pate and surprisingly the shredded chicken (which I had never yet ordered in a banh mi) was also good! The hubby enjoyed it so much he got another one to eat at the airport on our last day in HoustonNOTE: They also do croissant banh mi but we didn't try it"
"Having Nom Nom nearby is comforting on any day but especially when the weather gets cold & rainy! Served with a side dish of bean sprouts, basil and lime. Served in beef broth. 4/5-I really enjoy the Shrimp Pho. The boys also love it here. The love to get the soup spoons to sip the broth and chop sticks to eat Their shrimp!** Shrimp Fried Rice $10.49Jasmine stir fried rice with shrimp, egg, bean sprouts and green onions. 4/5-I really enjoy the rice and so does the boys. The shrimp are a nice size too! The restaurant is never too crowded, and the service is always consistent. I can tell by the owners interactions with customers They have regulars who are appreciated. It's a very welcoming space. There's a television that adds a nice touch of entertainment as well.If You're in the Energy Corridor or not this is definitely a spot to check out for Your Nom Nom needs! Pho nom~enal especially when dining in. I don't know about You, but I don't like eating to-go pho but that's just Me!"
"Wow, I can't say enough good things about this place. This is a quaint, cutely-decorated low-key spot that I enjoy for lunch. Unique art decorates the walls and soft dreamy music plays overhead. Their lunch specials are fire. Lunch specials are a meat dish that come with a salad and steamed rice. I started off with some pork spring rolls. I also ordered the shaken beef lunch special. The salad was refreshing and had a tasty Nuoc Mam dressing. The beef was tender and well-seasoned. They have a spacious covered patio. Bonus to this place for the patio being dog-friendly."
"I ordered crawfish and turkey necks from Uber Eats. There was a special for buy 2 pounds get 2 free that came with corn and potatoes. I chose the spicy kitchen flavor. I really liked the onions and peppers that were included with the juice. It added more flavor. The potatoes were very small. The crawfish were a decent size and the turkey necks (served in 4 small pieces) was super tender. I wish I could've received the turkey neck in the boil or at least selected flavoring for it.Overall, the food was hot and satisfying. I would definitely order again or visit IRL."
"I went to this place twice in 1 week and less than 48 hours lol. The spring rolls were so good and tasted fresh! I ordered a large Chicken PhoThere's not a lot of meat or noodles that come with the to-go pho orders. I can't say if it's the same for dining in. Spicy Bone Marrow. It was not what I was expecting. I hardly seen any marrow in the dish. It is indeed SPICY!! Just how I like it. Nonetheless, it was a yummy dish."
