Rex C. "First and foremost, thank you Ashley for getting us a table for 10 during OTC. At first the host said you all didn't have room. I talked to Ashely and she got us in.! So thank you for that as we all really enjoyed it! Food: the appetizers were amazing! The deviled eggs are so dam good! The bread they bring out is good too. The meatballs were Excellent! I was getting real full by time our main course came. Also how could I forget about the wedge salad. Top notch like pimp C said. The bone in ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. Full of flavor and just amazing. The sides, my god, the best whipped potato's and Mac and cheese I've ever had. Really enjoyed the meal. The dessert. The Oreo pop corn sundae lol. My god. It was so good too. I wish they would have told us they bring out cookies after. I could have just ate a dozen of those as dessert. Top notch spot. I'll definitely be back asap. Decor: I really enjoyed the look. Also it wasn't as loud as other steakhouses so I appreciated that a lot. I'll be back soon. Easy five star review."

The ambience and service are wonderful and I always feel welcome and unrushed. I always get the foie gras appetizer and the garlic seared calamari. The parmesan crusted rosemary bread they bring to the table is amazing as well.Parking is available as valet, in the garage, or right in front of the restaurant. If you're searching for a nice dinner, come here!"

I love me some beignets, these are not only one of a few options in town, they're also arguably the tastiest. The order is a bit expensive but comes with enough beignets to share amongst 4 guests. But the surprise of the evening was the chocolate lava cake...or should I say cakes. The order comes with two, and each are an incredibly decedent chocolate lovers dream! Expect fudgy, chocolate covered, ice cream topped, textural bliss! If you're on Market Street this shop is certainly worth a stop in, even if it's only for dessert!"

This is a Mexican-style seafood cocktail with the biggest savings of fresh fish, crab and avocado. The oyster selection has diversified in the past years and they offer oysters from all different Gulf locations, each with their own style and size."

David P. "This review is for delivery via Uber Eats about 10-15 minutes away from the location. Nut allergy friendly - stated on app and had no issues. We ordered the Fully Loaded Loud Pack ($22), Trout (2x+Fries) ($8.25), Onion Rings ($4.40), and Crack Sauce ($0.83) for 3 adults (subtotal $35.48). It came with ketchup and tartar sauce.Fully Louded Loud Pack: Wow, the portions are great here. Corn, potatoes, shrimp, egg, sausage, and rice were all seasoned well and had a good kick even without the crack sauce (which is an awesome addition). Two pieces of egg, one sausage, one piece of corn, one potato, a good amount of shrimp. Some of the shrimp felt overcooked. I wish there was some more sausage, but the rest was well shared among 2-3 people. Crawfish in the rice was a great addition. 4.5/5Trout (2x + Fries): Surprised that these were full pieces of trout, with bones and all (be careful biting in). The fries arrived crispy and seasoned. The trout felt a bit dry. 3.5/5Onion Rings: I could see these being fantastic at the location, but they do not travel well. Half arrived soggy. The ones that were still crispy were pretty good. Nothing too unique about these, though. 2/5Crack Sauce: Just get it. It's a garlic butter cajun tangy sauce that goes on anything seafood. 4.5/5Overall rating: 4/5 for great portions and flavor but with a couple misses that may be due to delivery (definitely so on the onion rings, less so on the trout and shrimp). Also, the food is pretty salty; be warned that they are heavy handed on the seasoning."

We shared a whole bunch of different things and everything was cooked to perfection, including the veggies. I would've liked the venison to be less "dressed up" with the chili rub but it was still good. The elk was a runner up favourite- so much flavour in it! What an adventure to take your tastebuds on. The hibiscus margarita is delectable and you can't beat half price wine on Sundays. You don't wanna miss that bread pudding either. The service and atmosphere of the place matches the food... warm and cozy, wonderful and unique. Looking forward to brunch once it's warmer so we can eat outside!"

I walked inside, and the staff member told me they would have food ready by 12:30p. I said wait what? Then she said ok, maybe 12:20p but need time to cook. I was surprised, to say the least. Not a good start. Ambiance - your typical whole in the wall spot. Keep your expectations accordingly. Food- I ordered 1 lb of crawfish/$8.99 market price, with there 88 boiling special seasoning. I got medium spice. And it was spicy enough for me. I saved the extra sauce from the bag to make ramen at home, like I usually do.I think they charge for gloves and butter? The reviews I recently saw said they are charging automatic gratuity for a party of 2 or more, yikes! Review that receipt before you pay."

I went years ago on a whim, pre-pandemic. And I'm. So glad they've lasted and grown!Last night we had the crab tostada and tuna poke to start. Both delicious, but if you're like me and have the busted cilantro taste bud, the tuna is safer - cilantro big enough to remove. I had the shrimp (pictured) based on the recommendation of one of the staff - I was not steered wrong. Dad had the scallops on my recollection of them from years ago. He thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert I had the Caribbean Coffee, which is basically their take on an affogato. Dark Illy coffee with 12 yr Caribbean rum and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. PERFECT way to finish the night. It's been years since I last ate here, so I wanted to enjoy a couples dishes. I had the Shrimp and Crab salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The shrimp were large and the dressing was lightly drizzled, which is what I prefer. If you like more dressing, you may want to ask for extra on the side. The shrimp were also dipped in a delicious sauce. I also had the Lobster Bisque. The Lobster Bisque was light and complimented the salad very well. My mother in law has the Crawfish Etouffee. It was a large portion, so she was able to take home leftovers. The service was prompt and friendly. As always, the restaurant was very clean and had great views of the pier."

John M. "Sometimes, you want straight up Louisiana crawfish boil. Not Louisiana "style", or cajun-ish. No dusting the mud bugs after boiling, no pastes or garlic butter (though I do sometimes enjoy these types too). I mean like they been doing on the bayous for decades. That's Boil House. They know how to season the boil, and to let the seasonings penetrate in during the soak. Spices hit you from tail to head, because if you're eating these right, there will be no head left unsucked. The potatoes and corn is always a good accompaniment, but if you want another nod to bayous, get the button mushrooms too. You're welcome. Staff is always nice and friendly. They are very consistent with their quality. If you follow their Facebook page they run specials which is an added bonus.Dining in the restaurant was a pleasant experience, they really make it a welcoming environment for families, and make sure to let you know you're welcome back.It is a bit hot in the restaurant, but if we all kept our thermostats a little higher like them maybe our power grid would be failing haha.My go to favorites are:Pad Kee Mao spice level 1 uh these are amazing. Have you ever had this noodle dish? Go eat it now! It is saucy goodness. The flavors of the fresh basil with the sauce and the wide noodles. I could eat this everyday .Green curry spice level 1 I love the eggplant and this curry is so delicious. I always am sad when the eggplant is gone. I just want a big bowl of eggplant covered curry. The way they cook it is amazing. I've tried to do it at home and haven't been able too. I like to order a side of rice noodles and mix them in with my curry.Red curry spice level 2 because it's delicious but it makes your nose run. So be prepared. It's very flavorful. They are so careful and double wrap when they do delivery/ to-go to make sure the curry doesn't spill. Chicken skewers are a crowd pleaser so I like the option of ordering a dozen of them in a party tray.Their cream cheese ragoons are delicious. The shumai are delicious and the two dipping sauces they came with were so good!Of course their Thai iced teas are delicious. They also make their own mango ice cream that's amazing! Of course with him being a member of "never met an Oyster that I didn't love" he said the trio danced on his palette! LOL. Honestly, hubs enjoyed both but the trio was his favorite appetizer. Mike M. "It's been about 15 years ago since I last dined here for a business convention that I was attending. Last week, I was able to return to celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks at lunchtime. After walking in, I realized how attractive the interior of this upscale restaurant is. It's decorated in an appropriate nautical theme with large windows facing Westheimer and an elegant looking bar area to boot. I regret not taking any pictures of the interior. It was 3 of us that day seated in the large main dining room and I ordered from the HRW lunch menu seafood gumbo for the first course followed by shrimp & grits for the second course all for $25. Yes it was only 2 courses but they were both ample in size and truly delicious. The gumbo arrived shortly after ordering in a cup. It was full of content that consisted of crab meat, shrimp and andouille sausage with a little bit of rice. The roux was perfect and with plenty of seafood it made me happy. A fine cup of gumbo, south Louisiana style. The only real hiccup to the meal was the approximate 40 minute gap before the second course arrived AND after we all complained to the waiter about the delay. When he finally brought the food he said that the kitchen had become backed up with orders hence the delay. The only problem was that only about 20% of the restaurant was occupied at the time. Anyway, my bowl of shrimp and grits arrived and initially I thought it looked a little small but then realized there was more food in the bowl than I thought. The large shrimp sitting on a bed of white cheddar grits drizzled with Cajun butter sauce was as good tasting as I have ever had. I enjoyed each bite with its rich taste and the entree was surprisingly filling. I didn't want any dessert but I would have eaten more of that entree. It was memorable. Our table service was good other than being forgotten about between the two courses. Also, I was disappointed to see my bill charged $4.50 for ice tea. Yes this is an upscale restaurant with regularly expensive prices so the HRW lunch menu was a real deal but charging that much for tea is excessive. It is for that reason and the delay in food delivery that I only give 4 stars. The food was worth 5 stars."

Entering into the private area there was quite beautiful decor and familesque style of dining around a large table! The staff were absolutely phenomenal throughly all the courses of the meal. The great thing I enjoyed most is that there was a preset menu that was printed and placed in in front of us. But they would still allow you to order from the full menu if you'd like. We were served white and red wine, and had a full four course meal with appetizers, calamari and flat bread (both amazing!). Second course was a house salad or Caesar, I got the Caesar and it was delicious! For the third course I got a steak with a spicy hollandaise sauce and asparagus and IT WAS AMAZING! Just enough heat and the asparagus cooked to perfection. Sides were served family style which was perfect so you could try a bit of everything. Lastly, fourth course finished off with Nutella cheesecake with an Oreo crust which I wish would've been my first course! So so good!
