"I came here for the first time on a Sunday. Our group sat on the patio. It was perfect weather for it, finally patio season since it cooled down.The patio was massive and had a fire pit, plus tvs with the games on. I didn't know anything about this place, so my friends filled me in. The restaurant started in Colorado and has expanded. There are several locations now in Houston. The owner based the restaurant off of his own home in Colorado. Including his wrap around porch that he decided to include with the restaurant. It's nice because dogs and humans are welcome here.Service - Our server, Regan, was friendly and chatty and offered suggestions.Drinks - I ordered the Mango Chili Rita, which had Repasado TQ, yum. My friends enjoyed their drinks as well, the NY Sour and Cucumber Mint. Food - I'm in love with cheese, so I ordered the grilled 5 cheese. And it was yummy. They even put shreaded melted cheese on the outside of the bread this was a nice touch. The sandwich had great texture with a nice crunch. Inside of the bread was loaded with multi cheeses, and it was the gooey consistency that I want. The spread also came with this aoli sauce, which I liked. I also ordered the onion rings instead of fries, and these were great. Would recommend this meal for the cheese lovers."

"We were headed to a concert at Smart Financial Center and stopped at Town Center to eat. We chose Guru Burgers because the happy hour at Escalante's was over. I was happy to see they have a vegetarian burger called Tesla. I have no idea why but for $15 I wish it came with a one day use of an actual Tesla. The burger is delicious and my friend enjoyed hers. The burger does not come with fries. It originally comes with vegan bread but I switched to whole wheat. While delicious, $15 is a bit much for a vegetarian burger with no accompaniments. There is free parking in the garage. When we're not in a hurry to go somewhere else, I hope to enjoy the live music they have on the square sometimes."

"This place is an awesome neighborhood hangout on a mission to give back to their local community. Food menu is quite large, chock full of American/diner-type food offerings. I had their grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, and stacked with fresh toppings. Others at the table had their burgers and I had a bit of FOMO - they looked incredible, will definitely order one of them next time! This is a counter service place where you order at the counter and they will bring your food out to you. Staff was super friendly and food arrived very quickly. Great place to hang with friends and family - they have games abound to entertain the kiddos!"

"This was my first visit to Pappas Burger. When we walked in you see the menus on the wall. Then you place your order at the register and then get seated. After your meal you'll pay. There were plenty of seats filled with folks and plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered their fried catfish sandwich with sweet potato fries and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was an average kids mac. The fish sandwich was pretty good. I like my sweet potato fries with a glaze or powder sugar or atleast fried crispy. So when they are plain they're just ok to me. I don't have to have them or the mac again. But I will try a burger and maybe a shake."

"Me and my coworkers decided to try a local resturaunt around the area and notice that a lot of people were headed here for lunch, so we decided to try it out.The business had a huge parking area for everyone and it was easy to find. Once we arrived the ambiance had a small town vibe to it and the staff welcomed us!I ended up ordering the Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger, and let me tell you! It tastes as good as it sounds. I ordered it on a sourdough bun and had it served with half regular fries and half sweet potato fries. The presentation was great and so was the taste.Once done we thanked the waitress and payed for our meal! It had a great price and we will definitely be back again to try the other burgers!"

Extremely excited to dive into the New Orleans grilled oysters. Fantastic! Hubby ordered the renamed Oyster Trio. Of course with him being a member of "never met an Oyster that I didn't love" he said the trio danced on his palette! LOL. Honestly, hubs enjoyed both but the trio was his favorite appetizer. We shared a grilled shrimp Caesar salad.... I had not much room remaining in my stomach. So with that said, only took a single bite. I am still enjoying this meal while making plans to return soon."

I have to say new management has done a complete turnover don't recognize anyone but the staff was all super friendly and the food was not only delicious but it was also hot, which is a double bonus."

"I came in for a quick lunch when I was in the area for a conference. The Burger Palace was within walking distance from my hotel, and was tucked in a corner of a shopping center. The exterior of the building did not look out of the ordinary, and the interior appeared to be quite jaded, with a 1980s feel to it--although it is clear that the place began operations well after that time! I took a seat at the bar area--it does not appear that they serve spirits and mixed drinks at The Burger Palace, but there is a beer selection on the menu.It appears that there was only one person working and running the entire operation the day I visited. The server offered me a menu but was not too chatty, as he had other tables to tend to. I took some time to look at the menu and placed my order--an American Classic Burger, Truffle Fries, and a Diet Coke.The drink arrived in a can along with a glass filled with ice, so obviously no refills at The Burger Palace. After some time, the burger and fries arrived. The American Classic burger was presented well with a side of ketchup. It was a basic cheeseburger on a (I presume) brioche bun with a good quality (kobe) beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a unique sauce. The truffle fries were fried in truffle-infused oil, and was perfectly crisp. Overall, the meal was wonderful. Aside from the quirky decor and understaffed service, I had a wonderful lunch at The Burger Palace and would certainly come back if the opportunity affords it!"

"Pop Top is one of my mom's favorite stops. The PT Breakfast Burger being the reason. She says the creamy maple bacon spread is just heaven. I'll take her word for it, eggs and breakfast not being my thing, so certainly not on my burger. On our most recent visit, I had the Razz Burger. You know when you go to a party and that block of cream cheese with chipotle raspberry sauce has been poured over the top and you think how lazy but can't step away? Yeah....the Razz Burger. Look at the pic! Anticipate the use of many napkins or a knife and fork which i refuse on principle. Our server (whose name escapes me, dangit!), was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He offered our side as 1/2 and 1/2. Well, yeah!! And onion rings thick or thin? Spicy or regular? Sometimes, too many options are not ideal. Honestly, i may have thought that looking at burger options. But for my tots/fries/onion ring basket! Those options made me giddy. Numerous people came in to get their to-go basic turkey cheese burger. Sure, be boring if that's your thing But when you have company, bring them to enjoy the sit down space and service! And the overall unique experience."

Before you judge, know that it was an accident, and I can now say I recommend the chopped cheese as a "I'm not in the mood for a burger alternative". It offers all of the ingredient featured in the double, in a slightly different mashup on a toasty hoagie bun. If you're new to the spot, know that it mimics bodega vibes. It's refreshing to see Pudgys cookies for sale, alongside Bluedorn hot sauce and other local favs. A nod to the same, the decor is a charming touch, and service is friendly and timely, and the spot can get busy so plan accordingly! Parking and seating can be tricky during these times so I recommend utilizing the surrounding street parking and visiting on a day you're willing to take your order to go or eat Al fresco. As I was craving a burger (and accidentally ordered a sandwich), I stole a bit...well half...of my finances burger. If you're into smash burger, sweet onions, and minimal veg, this burger is for you! Additionally, for all those with a sweet tooth (myself included), their shakes are worth ordering. I added extra chocolate syrup to my cookies and cream, and it's the most cravable item I ordered. When we're on this side of town, we'll definitely keep this spot in mind!"

We both had cheeseburgers and onion rings but our burgers were dressed to our preference. Onion rings are battered and crunchy. I opted to try the fried mushrooms and they shared the crunch but featured a different batter treatment. Burgers were great, our party had the BBQ Burger, Chili Cheese Burger, and the Kimchi Burger. All were great and cooked beautifully, we're just a sauce kinda group, so just needed a bit more bbq sauce and a bit more 'Korean bbq' sauce on the Kimchi burger... but that's just us (smile). The fries were hot, and just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. I don't know what's in that extra bbq sauce they provided at no charge, but soooo good! I put it on the Kimchi burger, lol. We all had the non-alcoholic shakes. The cups were a bit smaller than we hoped for the price, but by the time you get through eating that nice size burger, you're full anyway. And they even offer a double patty for those wanting even more!Finally, can't say enough about the service. We came on a Saturday afternoon (today) during the Astrid and Texans games, and received plenty of attention. We had 3 or more servers attending to our every need, REPEATEDLY checking on us, asking if we needed anything, and keeping finished food trays and packaging out of our hair! And so friendly! "I had breakfast here last week and it's located in a strip center with parking in front. Inside it has seating for about 40 people and is only open for breakfast and lunch (3 or 4 pm) depending on the day 7 days of the week. I was there for breakfast and ordered the Belgian Waffle for $9.50. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. It was a large and thick waffle with sliced strawberries, sliced bananas and whipped cream on top. A small container of maple syrup was on the plate too. The waffle was good tasting and filling as it hit the spot. This kind of a breakfast is fairly simple to make and kind of hard to screw up but to be fair I gave it a 4 score. My only complaint was that it took a long time for my waitress to bring me the check. There were 2 waitresses and they weren't that busy so I don't know why it took 10 minutes for her to bring me the bill. I would consider returning here for more breakfast or for one of the lunch burgers/sandwiches. This restaurant has a nice neighborhood feel and seems to be a locals favorite."

They brought back their old classics from their old location. Thank you!My favorite is the Juicy Lucy but its tricky so they had to add extra Blue Cheese to make it right since it wasn't ingrown like previous versions. Regardless, I really like their new location and locals seem to like it too so I'd say when your in the area, go for it! The Cashier did a good job helping. Thumbs up!"

They're only open for lunch, which can be a bit of an inconvenience for some.Burgers here are build your own via a paper list of ingredients and toppings to create your perfect burger. They also have other options such as hot dogs and awesome unique flavored milk shakes. My sour dough bun held the contents of my burger well. The tots I requested extra crispy were perfect.
