Food was awesome, we were craving for some nice vegetarian food and this place didn't disappoint. It's close to River walk and many restaurants on that street . Service was good and cauliflower tofu sauté was sooo delicious ( tasted like Indian Chinese fusion food) , sushi was delicious and noodles were ok . Didn't like the momo dumplings, very soggy and green chutney on top of dumplings was tasting that well .Drinks were so refreshing and well presented..But we loved everything else we tried . If you are a tourist and looking for flavorful Asian fusion definitely give it a try ."

Jacob J. "Bonafide "chaat" house. Casual and maintained like a cafe. Not a regular full service restaurant. So if you are planning to meet many friends, I wouldn't put their staff through that hassle. For those wanting to expand their knowledge of what Indian foods can offer. Guy's it's not always about butter chicken! Spice levels are comfortable and kids alike will enjoy. The food is Indian vegetarian. Snacks, fried items, limited desserts and some Indian entree staples. Dosas, idlis, paratha, puffed rice, roti, puri (types of Indian breads) and more. Those are often served alongside chutneys, dips, veg curries and even more. Side note: Most Indians will not order dosas and puris in carry out or delivery. These are breads that are made to eat when fresh. It's at its best when it hits the plate soon after frying. I guess you could try to microwave it but some finesse is needed to get the breads back to a pliable texture. Uru Swati is a household name on Devon that's been in existence for many years. They've experienced some highs and many lows. Somehow though, they keep comin' back around in popularity. A change in staff or getting back to basics can do that. Presently they are on a high in the food preparation side of the business. Best to get it while it's still good."

It's very chill inside and they have a decent patio.I ordered one of their specials, the cauliflower crunch wrap with a side of fries. So good and it was prepped super fast! Big portion which left me feeling full the whole day. The cauliflower is thoroughly breaded and super crispy. You don't get a heavy taste of cauliflower which is nice.Love that their menu is extensive with tons of options. Next time I wanna try their nashville "chicken" sandwich!"

The food was tasty, but the portions felt small. I guess you had an option between naan and roti but I wasn't offered that. The lassi was smooth. The other offerings we tried were good, but I don't know if I'd come back because I don't know what they are. It would be nice if they had descriptions."

This is a quick and easy lunch or dinner counter-serve option near the Damen Blue line stop with a diverse selection of plates and sandwiches. Food I tried: I've only tried the Kefta Kabob Dinner so far, and got it with 1/2 curry rice and 1/2 lentils and rice. It also came with a side of tabula, hummus, and pita. I'd recommend the lentils and rice over the curry rice (which I didn't love)-- the lentils and rice is extremely delicious and flavorful. The kabobs were also full of flavor and depth, and the hummus had a full, earthy flavor. I wish the pita came more toasted though. All this food came out to just $14, which was great because I even had leftovers for later. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.7/5Food: 4.6/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 5/5Overall Value: 4.6/5"

I was expecting the kind with a crunchy outside, but they turned out to be different and unfortunately became cold rather quickly. Also has dining but it's pretty limited to get in. The flatbreads are good but the sweets are what people like most about it though. Bakeries are usually pretty tough for vegans to buy things at. It's hard to find things without eggs and milk. This place though has these types of things. All kinds. There's the little bite sized treats. If those aren't enough, you can get one of the pies. There was an Oreo and Reese's flavored one that was the shizz. Has more than just desserts of course. There's also the flatbreads that are good if you like pizza. Thanks to Yelp, I found a place where I can get a substantial, delicious and cheap lunch. Each lunchbox is $6, which comes with an appetizer, entree, and a small dessert. You'd have to order it before 10 am the same day but sometimes they have extra lunchboxes. The food is so good. It's humble. Indian food can be pricey (compared to other Asian food). I love paneer tikka masala but restaurants charge over $12 excluding rice. I can get my Indian food fix through Krishna Lunch. Their menu changes weekly. Check on Sunday for the next week's menu.I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Krishna Lunch. I'm a broke vegetarian who loves Indian food. I'm in heaven. It's surreal. Aditi R. "Honest Niles was pretty good. We went in on a Friday evening, and thankfully, it wasn't too busy. Among 5 people, we ordered Dabeli, Pav Bhaji, Dahi Puri Chat, Papdi chat, Samosa and Falooda. Dabeli was pretty good. The filing inside mine wasn't completely heated, was kinda cold. The spice was good. OG fans, it misses pomegranates, but I can imagine that it's tedious to arrange. Each order comes with two dabelis so be aware of that.Pav Bhaji was good. The Bhaji was alright. The Pav/bread was heated and buttered perfectly. The order comes with 4 Pavs so doesn't need an order of extra bread. Dahi Puri Chat and Papdi chat were both good. If I had to choose, I'd pick Papdi chat. Samosa was alright. Not bad, not great.Falooda- I'd suggest to skip it even and especially if you love Falooda. The vermicelli was odd, there's no ice cream and it tastes exactly like rose milkshake. Not much beyond it. In all, it does the job and satisfies your Indian food cravings. Don't expect it to taste like Indian street food standards. Definitely one of the good joints in the US. Service was good, and we didn't have to wait a ton for our food. P.S. They use traditional steel plates and utensils for serving and eating, which is unlike most Indian restaurants I've been to! The service was super fast and we were in and out in less than an hour! We ended up getting vegetable korma with porotha, Vada, and podi idli. You guys, everything was absolutely delicious and tasted like I was sitting at a restaurant in India! The Vada and Idli were perfectly cooked and the side of sambar and coconut chutney paired so perfectly with both. The vegetable korma and porotha was so yummy! The korma was spicy and had a coconut taste and the porotha was so crispy and chewy yet soft at the same time! The flavor is truly unbeatable, I don't think I've tasted better South Indian food anywhere compared to this place! Despite being Indian fast food, this was some of the BEST Indian food I ever had. The curry was extremely flavorful with a great kick of spice although a bit on the salty side, the rice was fluffy, and the salsa was so fresh - I wish there was more. One thing that was noticably different was the wait staff. It seems like the wait staff is purely all family. The servers were calling the chefs either parents names and it's nice to see a small business family owned place. Usually these places care more about the place because they have a vested interest. The service was fine and courteous. On to the food...I ordered a plain pad Thai with tofu (tofu is in chunks, not strips), crab Rangoon as it was recommended by the server as an appetizer to pair with my food and finished off offering chicken satay (skewers). The chicken satay was delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The peanut sauce was good but Lai Thai still takes the crown when it comes to my favorite peanut sauce. The crab Rangoon was tasty and the skin was crisp. Lastly, the pad Thai. So so so good and flavorful. It has a good hint of garlic which is exclusive to this place as I've never had any garlic flavored pad Thai before. They also asked spice levels...it starts from no spice (default), some spice, spicy and hot. I tagged the some spice and it was plenty spicy.I would definitely order from here again."

The prices are pretty affordable for the big portions. After learning a falafel place was way out by Norridge, we made our way here to get a combo. It's just off Irving Park on Harlem. The building is located next to a Middle Eastern market. Gets a lot of people from that part of the world coming here. This is authentic for sure. Both of us got some falafel and combos.
