I heard about this restaurant from a YouTube tourist vlog on Chicago. Decided to give it a try while visiting Chicago, so glad we did ! Food was awesome, we were craving for some nice vegetarian food and this place didn't disappoint. It's close to River walk and many restaurants on that street . Service was good and cauliflower tofu sauté was sooo delicious ( tasted like Indian Chinese fusion food) , sushi was delicious and noodles were ok . Didn't like the momo dumplings, very soggy and green chutney on top of dumplings was tasting that well .Drinks were so refreshing and well presented..But we loved everything else we tried . If you are a tourist and looking for flavorful Asian fusion definitely give it a try .

We're visiting Chicago and found this vegetarian restaurant from google so we went there for a try. I did read the review before going there. And I found the same problem in their service like some others said. The restaurant wasn't busy around 3:30. We're seated promptly but took the waitress forever to come by. They're busy cleaning tables and not paying attention to customers. Lucky we were seated by the water station, so we pour our own water. We are there for a break from our long walk around the river walk. So we're not very hungry. We ordered spinach shitaki mushroom dumplings, spring rolls and avocado beets tartare. The food looks fancy but not amazing. The dumplings itself taste good but the hot sauce they put on them were very salty. The spring roll is bland but fresh. Our favorite is the beets tartare. It feels like eating tuna poke. In general, the food was good but the service really take some points off.

Went here for a quick lunch, and as a typical meat eater I ended up very satisfied with this vegan meal! Started with the bao sliders and was immediately obsessed. When I bring my vegetarian friend here next week, this is the dish I will not compromise on getting! The crispiness of the mushrooms with the soft fluffy bao buns creates a magical pairing. The spinach dumplings are a favorite of my mom's, but I can't say i'm a huge fan myself. If you like spinach and a kick from the chili- you'll love this.The poke bowl was fantastic. Full of fresh and delicious ingredients that were topped with a few excellent sauces. I loved how much mushrooms they included in the bowl, and I thought the ratio of the vegetables to rice in there was perfect. The service was prompt and polite, having us in and out within an hour, which was very helpful because we were there during a work day. Overall, a sleek environment with modern decor and good vibes. Cant wait to come back!

Food was all incredible. I got a mocktail and it had room for improvement/was basically like soda water in a glass. It was somewhat loud when we went/not my favorite for a date night. Vibe was a little pretentious.. but no idea why.Overall, a decent experience.. but I would probably opt for take out next time. Still dreaming of those dan dan noodles.

If you want a restaurant with DELICIOUS VEGAN dishes, this is the one! Planta did an amazing job with flavor, textures, and presentation. Tray provided excellent recommendations and service. The ambiance was modern, Asian, sexy, and fun. I will definitely be back. I'll try the NY location when I get back home! Chicago has a special place in my heart!

Came here for a business lunch and we were all blown away. Tons and tons of flavor in all the dishes. There's so many things I want to come back and try. The crispy rice was one of my favorite bites and it's wild there is no fish- really the flavor is great! Decor and ambiance were really lovely - felt modern. Hostess and wait staff were fine just not out-of-your-way friendly. I would come back.

Oh my!! This place is fantastic. I love trying vegan/vegetarian places with carnivores and they end up loving everything too. We were in town for the 4th and this place was chosen by my boyfriend's sister in law. I don't eat meat so we wanted to go to one place that had plenty of options for me. Everyone loved everything we tried. Our server said the dishes are meant to be shared, so we each ordered something different. Udon Noodles, Kimchi Egg Fried Rice, Thai Lettuce Wraps, Firecracker Roll and the Spinach shiitake dumplings. Everything was fantastic! The Udon Noodles were the standout (IMO) but we loved it all. We sat outside but did get to see the inside when we arrived. It's a beautiful restaurant. A step up from casual but not too upscale. I will definitely be coming back!

My visiting manager was interested to try vegan food in Chicago. So I found Planta through online research and recommendation from friends. It didn't disappoint! I had vegan food before but it was fried gluten or soy, but Planta changed my mind. The chefs actually transformed vegetables and fruits in a way that I would not have missed the "real thing". Give it a try! You might surprise yourself!

One of the best spots for a vegan in Chicago! Was recommended to take a vegan friend here and it was surprisingly very good. As someone who eats meat a lot, I really loved the food at Planta. The Kimchi fried rice is absolutely the best and the sushi rolls were so good, didn't even feel like I was eating plant based food. The restaurant was very accommodating even though we showed up late due to traffic. Very good vibes inside really pretty interiors. The service was a bit delayed but understandable on how packed the place was on a weekday. Would def recommend it anyone looking for vegan spot in the city!

Beautiful establishment with stunning wallpapers. Happy hour is perfect -- really fast service and affordable prices! Really good vegan food! The cauliflower wings and the sesame peanut noodles are phenomenal!
