What a wonderful option to have downtown in the office. Prasadam from the temple - pure and simple blessed delicious vegetarian food. Very reasonable and extremely tasty. I love this option - the Toyota SUV drives up to the office building and they have the food in disposable containers all ready. The rice is delicious as are the vegetarian curries. I love the halwa desserts. Definitely better than most of the restaurants.

I was skeptical at first, but the food here is DELICIOUS!For $5 you get a ton of food - a main dish, a side dish, and a dessert. The menu is rotating, so you'll need to check the website to see what the day's menu is. Make sure you enter your order by 10AM! Or else it will count towards the next day.Since the food is rotating, it's hard to review any one thing. I can tell you that all of the food is fresh and tasty. My Indian friends tell me that it tastes like home cooking. Check out their website! All of the food is vegetarian as well :). Pay with PayPal or credit card.Definitely give Krishna Lunch a try and check out the other locations they deliver to :)

I really enjoyed the meal I got from Krishna's lunch. It was affordable at $6 and got rice, mutter paneer (cheese in a tomato sauce), vegetable coconut curry, and gulag jamuns (like a fried donut in syrup). It's made with certain ingredients that are good you for you physically and spiritually (Sattvic) which means that it's not the bursts of strong flavors that one might be accustomed to in Indian plates. All in all, it was incredible for the price and the quantity. The mutter paneer was great; the curry was a little bland for my taste; the gulag jamuns was a nice sweet dessert. It's felt quite healthy since it was vegetarian, although a little oily. Note: they arrive in between 11:50am-12pm in a small van that they'll stick their sign on the side. Make sure to order online before 10am for it to count towards the current day's order. All orders after go towards the following day's. They'll take your name at the van in exchange for a tray of food and a spoon.

I order from Krishna Lunch at least twice a week. It's practically my lunch plan. I started a new job located at the Aon Center but the cafeteria can be pricey. Thanks to Yelp, I found a place where I can get a substantial, delicious and cheap lunch. Each lunchbox is $6, which comes with an appetizer, entree, and a small dessert. You'd have to order it before 10 am the same day but sometimes they have extra lunchboxes. The food is so good. It's humble. Indian food can be pricey (compared to other Asian food). I love paneer tikka masala but restaurants charge over $12 excluding rice. I can get my Indian food fix through Krishna Lunch. Their menu changes weekly. Check on Sunday for the next week's menu.I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Krishna Lunch. I'm a broke vegetarian who loves Indian food. I'm in heaven. It's surreal. Plus, proceeds from the lunchboxes go towards community programs and charity. Honestly, what's not to love about Krishna Lunch?

Pure, clean food made with fresh ingredients. It's yummy vegetarian food. The food is offered to god in a Hindu temple so even better if you are spiritual but regardless great value for money for $6. Plus the proceeds go to good causes.

The food is delicious, affordable, convenient and the portions are big. As a vegan, I can't always order everything on the menu so I have to be careful about what I order. Krishna Lunch: Would you be able to provide more vegan options and list what is vegan/vegetarian on your website? That would be very helpful.

Incredible food, incredible value. Wish their menu went beyond lunch! We live nearby in Rogers Park and this is our go-to lunch spot. I hope they are able to raise their profile a little via better signage/advertising -- the whole community should know about this treasure!

This food tuck is a good value for money - $5 for a wholesome meal - and a great find if you are looking for Indian food on a budget. They operate on a weekly schedule and have different pickup points in the city throughout the day. One needs to pre-order the food and then go a pickup point to collect it. It's a bit cumbersome but not a bad deal for $5. However, I didn't enjoy it much for a couple of reasons. First, the food didn't taste as well and felt a bit stale. The spices were bland and one of the curries felt undercooked. Don't get me wrong, indian Food can be prepared in a variety of ways and it's hard to appease to everyone's palate so I don't blame them completely. I can take some blame for not enjoying it as much because I'm used to other style of Indian cooking.Things went downhill when I fell sick after eating this food. I had to take the day off to recover and that was not a good feeling.

I order Krishna lunch almost once or twice a week. The food is really good and fresh. Its the best Indian food you can get in Chicago area. Their malai kofta and gulab jamun is worth trying. The amount of food they give for $5 is just amazing. Make sure you order the food before 10AM in the morning and do check the day's menu before ordering.
