Free parking, a clean bathroom, and nice staff. The food was good but a bit salty and too much gooey sauce and not enough food. The jasmine rice was sticky and not fluffy and clumped together. The lard na was barely much food, the crab salad was strange with a tiny black crab broke in half but we didn't know how to eat it so I guess it was just for garnish? The fried tofu had a lot of batter. The seasoning was good for the tofu because it was sweet-and-sour. And we tried to order snapper but they ran out so we had fried tilapia with a thick and sweet sauce which I didn't know was exactly Thai. Nice atmosphere to hang out with friends and family, but I wasn't happy with the food. I would say the desserts here are good so if I come back here, it would only be for the dessert. And I liked the vegetable dish.

Came with my wife and my sister for a quick lunch. We were greeted quickly and seated. The restaurant has a nice homey ambiance and you feel almost at home. The menu has a good amount of options of appetizers, soups, salads and thai dishes. We were in the mood to try some noodles and rice dishes. We got the thai fried rice which was really good. The chicken pad thai was very good as well, slightly sweeter than I'm used too but they give you dry chili powder to adjust the spice level which made it great. Also, got another one of the noodle dishes that I forgot the name of, that has glass noodles. We also had the soup and shrimp shumai which they did a great job with as well We liked all the dishes and definitely plan to return to try more!

Always great to have another Thai restaurant in the area although Chef of Siam took the place of Rosded 2 Thai restaurant (not affiliated as they clarified when I asked them if they just rebranded). You walk in and it almost seems like you walked into Rosded 2 as all the tables and dining area looks similar. One thing that was noticably different was the wait staff. It seems like the wait staff is purely all family. The servers were calling the chefs either parents names and it's nice to see a small business family owned place. Usually these places care more about the place because they have a vested interest. The service was fine and courteous. On to the food...I ordered a plain pad Thai with tofu (tofu is in chunks, not strips), crab Rangoon as it was recommended by the server as an appetizer to pair with my food and finished off offering chicken satay (skewers). The chicken satay was delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The peanut sauce was good but Lai Thai still takes the crown when it comes to my favorite peanut sauce. The crab Rangoon was tasty and the skin was crisp. Lastly, the pad Thai. So so so good and flavorful. It has a good hint of garlic which is exclusive to this place as I've never had any garlic flavored pad Thai before. They also asked spice levels...it starts from no spice (default), some spice, spicy and hot. I tagged the some spice and it was plenty spicy.I would definitely order from here again.

I'll get straight to the point--this is the best Panang curry I've had in a long time. Portions are generous, too. We ordered lunch specials and appetizers, and once the appetizers came out I realized I wouldn't be able to finish my meal! I don't mind, though--leftover panang curry for me tonight! The lunch special came with soup and egg rolls. I also really liked the chicken satay--the sauce was very good and the chicken was not dry at all. Service was good and pretty quick. There were two of us and the meals came out at different times--in case you're bothered by that kind of thing. I'm not, and that curry was worth waiting another few minutes! Dining is casual and friendly. It's a comfortable place to get a meal.

I think this place took over another Thai restaurant - and it's currently in "Grand Opening" mode. We stopped in for the lunch special, but we ordered a few appetizers as well. The chicken satay was very good. The fresh spring rolls went hard on the tofu... so if that's your thing, then OK.I had the pad see eiw lunch special. It was very good and the generous on the protein. The menu said the lunch special includes a salad as well, but I didn't see a salad. But it did include the soup and app of the day. I think the price for lunch was starting to creep a little high for a special though.Anyhow, looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

I was skeptical to order from this restaurant because it was different restaurant there before and I'we heard that is wasn't good. I trusted the reviews and a friend recommendation. We ordered a take out and the food was outstanding and well portioned. Will order again in the near future.

Met up with my family of 9 here for an early dinner on Tuesday. They were very accommodating and the food was superb. The place is small but as customers wandered in and out, it was clear they have a strong following. We didn't take photos but we enjoyed all our food. Everyone loved their creamy crab rangoons. The panang curry had amazing flavor. The mussel pancake was delicious - eat it while it's hot and fresh! Pad see ew with beef was delicious and so was the sweet and sour chicken. We also enjoyed the shrimps in a blanket and other appetizers we ordered. Definitely recommend. My uncle was thrilled to find another restaurant close to him he enjoys!

I joined my coworkers for lunch at Chef of Siam Thai Restaurant, and my initial concern about finding a vegan option was quickly put to rest. They are well-versed in vegan cuisine, catering to a sizable vegan clientele, which was a huge relief. The restaurant had a cozy, typical Asian decor and a pleasantly quiet ambiance during our visit, allowing us to converse without raising our voices. For my meal, I opted for the vegetable fried rice with tofu. It was a perfect choice for me, as I'm not a fan of dishes drenched in soy sauce. The tofu was impeccably marinated and grilled, with a satisfying texture, just like the veggies. The spring rolls, while small, were pretty good too.The prices were fair, with my meal costing around $12, and I savored every bite. I appreciated the well-balanced flavors, and despite the generous portion, it didn't leave me feeling overly stuffed.I'm definitely planning to return to this spot in the future.

This place took over the Rosded Too spot (okay food, horrible customer service). With the new name and the new family running it, we decided to give it a try. I ordered Pad See Eiw Beef Lunch Special and my friend ordered one of the other noodle lunch specials. I was going to order crab rangoon, until I saw that the lunch special came with an appetizer. The waiter had no idea what the daily appetizer was and had no intention of checking for us. It was egg rolls, which were crispy, but I would have purchased more items if I knew ahead of time. The beef pad see eiw was tasty. It came with a daily soup, which was chicken rice soup today. The chicken was tender but the broth was a bit bland. The rice was precooked and nothing like congee or lugaw that I was anticipating when I heard chicken rice soup. Overall a decent meal for $13 plus tax and tip. I took home a chicken pad thai lunch special for my husband. The pad thai was a bit too sweet for our tastes. The carry out lunch specials come with salad instead of soup. Not sure if the salads rotate like the soups and appetizers do, but today it was a cucumber salad that was sweet and crisp. I will give them another try. I'm curious about their Penang Curry and other dishes. They are a nice addition to the Morton Grove food scene. I wish them well.
