First, would like to mention we ate at the new Glenview location. We attended the soft opening Wednesday night. The restaurant is located at the north end of the Glenview Town Mall, and has lots of seats for in house dining. The food is probably the same as at the chicago location, and is excellent. It is pan Asian style food and very fresh and flavorful. Vegans, vegetarians And regular diners will all find something delicious to eat. We will be back!

Great spot up in Edgewater with a varied menu of pan Asian cuisine, among other creative dishes. We stopped in for dinner one evening, split some steamed dumplings (7 pc) and the Rainbow Roll (fresh roll with peanut sauce and Thai vinaigrette) to start, both of which were very tasty. For our mains, my wife got the bibimbap and I got the laksa. My wife's bibimbap came in a stone bowl, with tofu, a variety of veggies, and rice that became wonderfully crispified as the stone cooked it. My laksa was very curry-centric, not so spicy, with rice noodles, broccoli, tofu puffs, and vegan shrimp -- the broth was not exactly reminiscent of an authentic laksa, but more like a nice rich curry broth. Super tasty food overall. And great service to boot. Recommended for a nice vegan meal if up this way.

I thought this was a great and delicious place even though I'm not vegan. It's one of the best vegan places I've been to, although I haven't been to that many. The menu is very extensive and has a lot of Asian dishes. The skewers were the best out of all of them. I was intrigued by the desserts and got the cheesecake but would skip on this next time as it was too sweet. I thought the Korean barbecue dish was very flavorful and delicious, while the bibimbap left more to be desired (but still not bad).Service was attentive and there was no wait for 2pm on a Sunday. I would be back again if I'm in the area!

Bummed that the city location closed down. Drove to the new spot at the Glen. Got take out dessert. So worth the 20 minute drive. Their food was delicious at the city location, but haven't tried it here yet. Will update after we trek out for dinner.

We stopped into Alice & Friends while wandering around Edgewater one Saturday afternoon and were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious this restaurant is. It's perhaps one of the best vegan restaurants I've been to! I'm also a sucker for Alice in Wonderland so the decor was a big plus for me.The menu is varied but mostly focuses on East and Southeast Asian dishes. I was intrigued by many of the menu options but I let cravings guide my ordering and got two random and not complementary items: pan-fried dumplings and corn chowder. They're two of my favorite foods, so why not? The dumplings were fresh and delicious, and the corn chowder was perhaps the best I've ever had. It was reassuring to know there wouldn't be any hidden bacon in the chowder!I'm really looking forward to going back to Alice & Friends more frequently, particularly as I now live close by.

You know a vegan restaurant is pretty amazing when non-vegetarians crave their food.Alice and Friends is my first choice for ramen. Sometimes I just sit and think about their tonkatsu ramen. Their kung pao is also outstanding. We took a vegetarian out to eat here, and she loved the noble burger as well. Great dumpling appetizer.I've been there a few times and never had anything I didn't like. Incredibly friendly service. I used to go a lot for lunch way back when it was called Loving Hut. If you haven't been there since then, the food is better (it wasn't bad then). Definitely one of the best choices for dinner in Edgewater.

Service was 10/10. Food was fire and all came out piping hot, which I like! We had quite the smorgasbord of goodness:Appetizer: Crab Rangoon dumplings Popcorn nuggets , all fantastic with the perfect accompaniment of sauces Entree: ROASTED SESAME MISO RAMEN with vegan bacon and chili oil , fantastic and filling Dessert : green tea cheesecake was a nice end cap Oh - lest we not forget the Thai iced tea with oat milk - oh so refreshing. This is one of the best vegan restaurants I've went to in Chicago. I'll be back. Staff were so attentive which was very much appreciated. Recommend this joint without reservation.

I'm a huge fan of curry but I recently had to cut way back on soy so I haven't been able to eat it lately. I was so excited that Alice and friends is completely vegan and identifies which items are nut free/soy free/gluten free. My sister got this delivered to my parents to have it ready when I got into town. She got the bibimbap. We both LOVED our food. The curry was so creamy and I loved the squash. Would be perfect for fall. My sister's bibimbap was really good too! Delicious food, would totally dine in sometime.

So sad that the location on Broadway closed. The site says they are remodeling but that was a long time ago. No sign or message of when they will ever open again. Very sad!
