"A good friend of mine told me about CNT last year, so I checked it out and was not disappointed.The quality and taste of the coffees and teas speak for themselves. I like the specialty lattes, and my go-to is the iced rose latte. These drinks are not cheap, but CNT also gives out punch cards. For every 10 drinks you buy, the 11th one is on the house, so it kinda evens out at the end. CNT is also dog friendly! They've got a basket of free dog biscuits on the counter for people who bring their dogs to the coffee shop, and these dog biscuits are huge! My dog and I are both fans of CNT."

"Chill Out is giving Richman's a run for their money. I started patronizing COIC&WI because they are on DoorDash and Richman's is not. They both have soft serve ice cream, though Richman's has more soft serve flavors than COIC&WI. However, what CO has that Richman's doesn't is a wider variety of toppings.The mint chocolate chip hand-dipped flavor was impeccable and the java chip is a close second. I wasn't a fan of the "graham slam," but not ever flavor is for everyone, right?I really enjoyed their Reese's razzle...it had peanut butter cups, peanut butter sauce, and Reese's pieces in it. Yum-o!While I'll always have a soft spot for Richman's due to their variety of soft serve options, COIC&WI is definitely a great second option especially if you don't want to leave your house for ice cream."

"COVID-19 TAKE OUT REVIEWSpice Garden is a take away only Indian kitchen that focuses on Kerala style South Indian cuisine. It didn't have to change much of its operation to adjust to the pandemic. On the end of an old commercial strip near the bottom of Bustleton Avenue just a few blocks before Grant Avenue, it is designed to accept your phone order for pick up 30 - 40 minutes later. That was our plan after grocery shopping at the large Asian supermarket on St. Vincent's Street @ Roosevelt Avenue. We called from the parking lot, arriving about 15 minutes later because of light Memorial Day Weekend traffic.Now, I've had much better curries, masalas and garlic naans than are offered at Spice Garden, but on the other hand there is a trade-off of larger quantities and cheaper prices than available at standard Hindi houses, although the online menu states that recent cost of ingredient increases necessitated higher prices. That's just reality given these harsh times, and we didn't object to absorbing a couple of more bucks. Of course, by the time we reached home the blush was off the rose. Reheating was required to reanimated each dish. We found each was tasty and very well spiced. The two chicken plates led the way, with the Kerala Chicken Curry in a dark thick sauce and the Chicken Pepper Fry bone in and the hottest of the lot. It was a finger food delight. The Channa Masala was lighter cream colored mildly sweet veggie dish that was a good sop for the Garlic Naan. The other diced mixed veggie bowl was a strong counterpoint to the rest of the tongue challenging heat packed into the two plastic take home bags.The only real downside to the experience was the cleanliness of the small anteroom when I waited for the food. There were several insulated containers sitting on the floor, each more schmutzidick than the other. Clearly used for moving cooked food, there was no way they would pass a health department inspection. They left me wondering about the condition of the kitchen on the other side of that swinging door. I'll let you know if I experience any side effects from this meal, which appears to be enough for three dinners."

"Just had to write a review since I've been going to S & Pfor over a year and I see Mr. Wish opening up. I personally feel threatened and victimized by MrWish if they make my favorite Boba place move elsewhere because I don't like Mr. Wish lmaooo. S & P makes some litttttt drinks, fruit and milk tea wise. They also offer milk foam and fancy rainbow drinks you see at Vivi. Plus, drinks here are cheap. Usually my Boba cost 3.80 and I don't need to drive all the way down to Chinatown for decent Boba. If you are deciding between basic b-Mr. Wish and S & P, go to S & P. If you really wanted Mr. Wish, they're literally popping everywhere like a rash."

"Got a last minute birthday cheesecake from here. Strawberries on top. It was delivered within a half hour and was pretty good. It wasn't creamy. It seemed more of a mass produced cheesecake type if that makes sense. Think of it as a building material. The best cheesecakes I've had DIDN'T look like a block of sanded wood. A perfectly formed pressure treated board. No, no. They look like OSB planks and when you cut it, it's not clean by any means. This isn't a place I'd get my wife a birthday cake but it's great for a coworker. Cake was less than $15 and we split it 6 ways. So there is some bang for your buck here.Update: I'm changing it to 4 stars I got another last minute birthday cake. Chocolate with "Happy Birthday" written on it. It was delicious. This place really comes through with a quick cake. If you're forgetful and lazy it's perfect for you! I'm both."

"Chon Tong which means golden spoon in Thai is the real thing. The chef is Thai and makes some authentic Thai dishes. We tried Pad See Ew which is a tamarind infused rice noodle dish with broccoli and your choice of protein. Very good. The Tom Sab Moo soup is a pork broth spicy sour soup with pork, cilantro, red onions, tomatoes and lime. So good that my wife can't stop talking about it. The place deserves more business so there was no wait. It is hampered by no parking nearby and closure of the across the street Hahnemann. All dishes are between $12- 26, but most are under $20. The decor is dated but you come for the food, right?"

I was surprised that I saw a couple of Negative reviews.Come on people this is a suburban Diner not a five star Philly dining destination. It should be reviewed like a hometown diner. Consistently, the service is good, the place is clean and the food is good. I would also add that there is plenty of offstreet parking and as it's conveniently located on Chester Pike, just a stone's throw away from interstate 95, It's a good place to try if you're just looking for some casual food at very reasonable prices in a pleasant atmosphere. For commuters it is literally down the steps from the train stationToday's meal: The BB (Baltimore Beau) had a Fried flounder sandwich and absolutely loved it. He said that the flounder was very fresh and the breading was light. I who am not a fan of fried or breaded food wasn't convinced unless I took a taste. I did and I agreed with him that it tasted very fresh.I had the Santa Fe salad. I was given the option to have it delivered as made or to have it chopped. I am so glad I picked the chopped option. My deep dish of salad greens was chopped in such a fashion that they were nicely bite-size and the Santa Fe seasoned chicken on top was plentiful. I ate a third of it and when full I brought leftovers home. At Stargate you'll be assured that portion sizes are generous. As for staff it always seems to be staffed by somebody in charge and it shows. The wait staff are pleasant, quick and accurate in delivery of items ordered. The boyfriend remarked that the place looked like it had recently been redone but I told him that it's been a few years and that it probably looks so good because they keep it so clean. Seating is also very comfortable. If you're in the middle of Delaware County and looking for a place to eat in a casual, relaxed atmosphere Stargate fits the bill"

"Stopped here for lunch while doing some after-Christmas shopping. I like the location because there are plenty of other food options nearby, so if you're with a group like I was, everyone can get what they want and then meet back at one of the nearby tables.I got the hibachi meal with chicken. There are several protein options to choose from, some of which add a $1 premium. You can also pay slightly more for two proteins instead of one. For my base I went with fried rice, and finally for my dipping sauce I selected their Ginger Sauce.The chicken had nice flavor and was mostly good, save for a couple of pieces that were too hard/chewy. I really liked the stir-fried vegetables that came with the meal, and found that each vegetable was cooked nicely. For example, the broccoli was soft and tender, while the onion and zucchini retained some crunch. Just how I like them.The description for the Ginger Sauce I chose said it went best with seafood, but I still liked it with the chicken. It had a little bite from the ginger along with some sweetness.One disappointing thing about the meal was the fried rice. There was so much of it but I found it to be dry and not very flavorful. I barely ate any of it.The hibachi meal also comes with miso soup, which is a nice touch. I just wish it had more miso flavor.Service was good and and everyone behind the counter seemed to really be hustling because the place was packed on my visit."

"I don't know how this place went under the radar! Maybe it's because it's in plain sight but also a team bit hard to get to because it sits kind of off on a corner where there's not much parking except across the street at the Wawa. They do have a small parking lot but it's challenging. Every time I would drive past here there would be a line of people so I waited until the lines were shorter and took my shot. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was how long it took to get service even with just two people in line. Literally like 20 minutes. Maybe a little more. All the ice cream choices were pretty exciting so I did mine sitting there. Just reading the menu. I did like how colorful the place was too. The first time I try a place I always get either cookies and cream or vanilla just to see what the base level is like. The ice cream here is pretty solid. I will say that. They have many other desserts so when I get a chance I will give them another try."

"What an awesome dinner. Southwark had been on the list for a while and we were finally able to go. Perfect night to dig out back in the courtyard. Cocktails are great and clever. Wine list is small but solid and appropriate for the menu. The beef tartare toast appetizer was great, but the grated horseradish was a little too overpowering to appreciate the tartare. The duck was PERFECT. I say that rarely and it was perfect. Enough fat to want to eat the crisp. Little enough that fat wasn't your entire bite. Perfectly cooked. The chive mezze rigatoni was in a fantastic yet simple sauce, you'd want to drink it. The double cheeseburger was solid but the fries really stole the show. Ended the night with the corn soufflé cake which is both the weirdest and most delicious combination of flavors. So impressed with the meal. Can't wait to come back."

"Yooooooo! The dessert at this place are the real deal. It was my birthday so we made a special trip to A La Mousse and we're not disappointed. First-I appreciate they were open late so we got to experience this treat. The options were plentiful, involved true artistry, and had such a flavor variety. I chose the flourless chocolate plus mousse cake slice and it was so rich and decadent. My daughter chose the bear mousse and the hardest part was eating such a cute confection. You can't go wrong visiting this amazing place-oh and get a cappuccino-it was the perfect pairing."

"I decided to celebrate national fried shrimp day 2022 at Seafood Unlimited. I hadn't been there in probably 15 years. It turns out I made the best choice I could have possibly made. I stopped by during happy hour and they have a great happy hour. Good discounted drink specials and plenty of discounted snacks. There is shrimp on the happy hour menu, but I went for the Jumbo friend shrimp entrée from the regular menu. The shrimp were actually jumbo, juicy, and perfectly fried. The best friend shrimp I've had in Philly since the days of Bookbinders. If you like fried shrimp, this is the place to get them! The entree comes with a generous portion of crispy fries and tasty cole slaw. I wanted to sample more of the menu so I also tried the New England clam chowder. A hot bowl of soup almost as good as what you get in New England. I ended my meal with the carrot cake dessert. It was a bit cold and would have been better served at room temperature. But all the expected carrot cake deliciousness was there in that slice.I ended up staying at Seafood Unlimited longer than I anticipated. The people at the bar were nice and the bartender, Morgan, is awesome. The fried shrimp were to die for! I'll be back to try more of the menu!"

Combine the two together like you would in one amazing affogato and I wish I could give Lu & Aug's a worthy ten stars!I've been curious about checking out Lu & Aug's since it opened over the summer. But it took a discussion about their decadent-sounding hot chocolate options and some generous coupons sent in the mail for me to get a group together for a proper try. And it beyond satisfied my sweet tooth!Whether you its a simple single flavor with one topping or going swirl and overboard on toppings, soft serve ice cream is easily one of the best simple pleasures in life. And my chocolate & vanilla swirl with caramel sauce, marshmallows, and graham cracker crumble was a lovely treat! I also respect that they have a vegan soft-serve ice cream for vegan and lactose-intolerant people.Hot chocolate was the main thing that brought us together, and between us, our table was very enamored with our Mexican drinking chocolate, lavender hot chocolate, and salted caramel hot chocolate. My salted caramel one was perfectly sweet when it needed to be with just the right amount of heat. It was also cool to see them carry that vegan trend forward with a plant-based hot chocolate.Toss in coffee from Ox, donuts from Yori's Church Street, Cookies from Famous 4th Street, and then some, and Lu & Aug's gives plenty of reasons to enjoy it that go beyond ice cream. And that's why I'm ready to go back for a Pecan Bacon Brittle soft serve ice cream, dirty chai affogato, and then some!"

"I've visited A La Mousse a couple more times since my first review and I can tell you that my opinion of their desserts has not changed. Their desserts are spot on! However, my Cherry Blossom Matcha Latte left a lot to be desired. The drink was too watery and not very sweet. For a bakery that claims to be all about sweet stuff, the drink was actually kind of bitter. I think they may have said that they didn't make enough of the cherry blossom part of it, I'm not sure, but if that's the case, maybe they should've made the drink again instead of giving it to me as it was. It wasn't very pleasant to drink at all, so I threw it out and feel I wasted my money on it. :("

She answered all of my questions. They are closed on Sundays & and Mondays, I believe. They opened at 12 noon and close around 5 pmThey offer a small amount of treats: pound cake, cup cakes, cookies, muffins, and peach cobbler. Check the prices online before going if you plan on paying with cash because they prefer you to have the exact change. They do take cards. Treats that I selected: *refrigerated* I'm not a fan of cold pastries. The woman offered to heat it up, but I prefer room temperature. 1) Cookie butter pound cake. I don't think it was fresh. When I cut into it, it crumbled up. It was dry. I would have liked it if it was moist. 2)Sweet potato cheesecake muffin was the best out of the two. There was only a hint of sweet potato and hardly any cheese cake. The icing was good; they only gave a dollop. I wanted cinnamon rolls, but they were sold out. They make cinnamon rolls made on Wednesdays. I came back today, 4th October, when they first opened looking forward to tasting them, but they did not have them. I was told they may have them in the afternoon but call. I got busy and never called to check. Overall, I wasn't impressed. I will go back to try the peach cobbler. I will go back to try those cinnamon rolls. I'll be sure to call first.I hope you enjoy!!!"

"This place was amazing, my new favorite snack shop in the area! We started with a half dozen mochi donuts. The shop owner recommended the Ube donut which was incredible. We also had Nutella, Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry and Salted Caramel. All were delicious and the dough was so soft and delicious.The Korean Rice Hot Dogs we got were also TO-DIE FOR. We tried the Hot Cheetos Mozzarella and the Potato Half-and-Half. The shop owner again gave us recommendations on toppings (Mayo for the Cheetos one and Sriracha + Ketchup for the Potato). The beef was great, and the mozzarella was still warm and the cheese pill was a solid 10/10.The hot dogs took 7 minutes to make, so we chowed down on some donuts first.I will absolutely come back anytime and will rave about the food. The flavors were wonderful and the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. They obviously care about your experience and have great recommendations."

Teeth achingly cold and full of fresh fruit flavor this is the real deal. Cherry and lemon ice was a classic go to combo. $5 for a large is pretty much in line with what things cost these days and huge at that. Great kids working there keeping it moving during Covid Theater. A must stop when your in the nabe. The fish burrito I got was solid, too, though personally I wish it were cheesier/saucier. The quality of the ingredients and the flavors were pretty good though. Came with fresh, thick tortilla chips and some green salsa and hot sauce. Service was decently friendly and fast. The place is kind of small with only like five tables, and not super decorated, but it gets the job done. Really solid Mexican spot, though with Fishtown prices. The churros are so worth it, though. Please take this as a sign to go try them immediately."

Firstly, this place accepts credits cards ($15 min) but you should bring cash.Food + Price: 5/5I love sweet tofu (silken tofu in syrup) so, their salty tofu was a new one for me. It similar to the sweet dish but, it had savoy and spicy attributes like dried shrimp and chili sauce. Definitely not vegan but absolutely delicious!!Not wanting the adventure to end, I had to get more so I got three baos (buns) and their rice roll for around $15! All in all, I am definitely coming back for my new favorite comfort food!"

We all ordered a bunch of rolls. Hard to remember which ones but everything was delicious and tasted extremely fresh. We're happy we were outside as inside was hot and very loud. Service was average. There are two self-serve kiosks that makes ordering super easy and they already have the flavors made up in ready to go containers, so as soon as we ordered, we got our orders and out the door we went. We tried the original, the chocolate and the happy birthday. Both the flavors and the portions were good. I think I personally prefer the magnolia bakery banana pudding flavor profile a tad bit better."

Two rooms on either side have lots of seating plus picnic table outside. One room has a plant wall very instagrammable! Breakfast Sammie's, bagels, lunch Sammie's, coffee drinks, and teas are all available. The bagels are good. Egg sandwiches are also delicious. The Italian BLT is very good. Portions are large!
