"An Italian-Mediterranean restaurant with a brightly lit space. The Arpeggio is a commonly visited restaurant by my coworkers since we're so close. This is a good spot for groups since the tables are large enough for a decent party. The wood-fired pizzas are always a good bet, but so are the pastas and Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are nice and it's not too loud even when busy. There's a large parking lot outside so it's easy to find this spot place."
"Really good, fresh flavors and great service. I had the salad with gyro meat. Crispy greens, yummy meat, delicious sauce. Will definitely go back."

"ICreate serves authentic, fresh, healthy, vegan Syrian food. And I couldn't be happier with it. ICreate is couple blocks away from me and I go there once in a while for a quick bite. Such a nice atmosphere, really nice owner and I could sit there for hours. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates ethnic, homemade vegan food."
"I always know of the existence of this restaurant, but for some reason we just never came here until tonight. It turned out better than I expected. Although the entrance looks unassuming, the interior is tastefully decorated. Service is friendly. Food is properly priced with decent portions. We had the mini sampler, a chicken wrap and a lamb bowl--all taste great. Overall, we are satisfied and plan to come back again in the future."
"Finally tried this place, I am sad it took me so long to get there. Delicious chicken lemon soup & for entree, had the house-made sausage rice bowl (forgot the name!) Very friendly service, look forward to trying more dishes."
"Stopped in here on a Friday early evening for dinner. You order at the counter and then they call you when your order is ready. I thought the prices were very good for the portions you got. I enjoyed a hummus bowl that had veggies in it and falafel. I got a meal so i picked a salad and a bottle of water to go with it. There was so much food! My boyfriend liked his dinner as well! The restaurant looked fairly new. Nicely decorated and clean. I will be back for another hummus bowl!"
"Do not come here in a rush! Everything is cooked to order and you must allow extra time - which for us was worth it. 2 pita sandwiches (One Sabich and One Falafel) to go took 25 minutes and ran close to $27.Nothing is cheap these days - but the quality here is wonderful. Big stuffed pitas with fresh tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage slaw and amba. Luscious char-grilled eggplant.Classic Sabich and so tasty!Again - slow service but worth the wait."
"Still the best. Intimate, ambient, byob, delicious and one of the best out there. We ate delicious food... the octopus is always a game changer.. drank wine, devoured the fungi pizza and the chicken kabobs and two of the specials and delighted in Chef Bobby's kitchen flair. This place is outstanding... time after time, year after year. If you haven't visited yet, what in the world are you waiting for?"
"I am KICKING myself for taking this long to check out Kanella. The service, the food, the price point... it is all worthy of 5 stars. On a Friday night, my friends and I decided we needed a GNO so we made a reservation at Kanella and brought our own bottles of wine. We sat inside because it's been disgustingly hot out, but they have outdoor seating, too! We opted to try the tasting menu and I am so glad we did. We were a group of 5 people total, so we got one of each meze. For our mains we did ground lamb, spanakopita, falafel, and chicken shish. For dessert we got one of everything and two kunefes.. because obviously. My meze favorites included the shepherd salad, hummus, muhammara, seared halloumi, and cyprus potato chips. The chicken shish was the best main by a long shot. The desserts were all hits, but my favorite was the kunefe.I loved this meal so much that on Saturday night I ordered takeout because I needed more of the hummus, shepherd's salad, and chicken shish.TLDR: Kanella is amazing, a BYOB, and worth every penny. Come with a group and try the tasting option so you can have one of every meze and most of the main options."
"I can describe this place in one word...LOVELY.Twas a cloudy, chilly evening, the candles were lit, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. And with my wine of the evening in tow (BYOB), we sat down for well prepared and picturesque plated fare. The escargot resting in parsley garlic butter was tasty and mild. A little more pizazz and perfection would have been my description. I wish the mushrooms were separate from the snails, as was covered in the green butter sauce you couldn't make out which was which until it hit your tongue and chew. I hope that's not being too picky. 4 star choiceI had the lamb stew special of the evening, it was divine, tender chunks of lamb, in a deep tasting, dark rich base, with seasonal vegetables which couldn't have been any more perfect. The ricotta gnocchi side was unfortunately not memorable. It was just average. 5 stars for the lamb 3 stars for the gnocchi. My friend had the branzino, so tender, so cooked perfectly except for the skin which was only partially crispy, with more than half of the skin soggy and not to my crispy-skin liking. 4 starsThe pistachio cake for dessert was wonderful. Get it, you will love it. 5 starsThe service was excellent."
"Great selection of Armenian and Mediterranean dishes and select grocery staples in a tastefully decorated and modern store. I appreciate the create-your-own bowl options, where you can explore tasty combinations to your pleasure. Staff are family and community oriented. The baba ganoush is especially delicious. Looking forward to a return visit."

Arpeggios offers a beautiful ambience and good service. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of Springhouse and the lake. Our waiter was very kind and friendly. As for the food, we ordered the mussels to start and they were fine. Not fishy but not overly flavorful either. The bread was nice and soft. The pasta dish had chicken, vegetables and a light white wine sauce. It was unfortunately flavorless and needed to be rescued by mountains of Parmesan cheese. The quality felt OK but the food was average and expensive for what it is. Would recommend if you are looking for a safe BYOB with a good atmosphere but not if you are looking for the best Italian food in the Philly suburbs.

The food delicious and the service is always amazing.Everything is homemade. Many different tradition sauces for dipping. You won't be disappointed, of course it's more expensive than a good cart but if you want traditional Greek this is your place

Very good chicken schwarma. The chicken was perhaps a little bit dry/crumbly. But the pita was fresh, the vegetables were plentiful and fresh. And overall this was a good wrap and a good value

Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised by this little diamond in the rough! I am transitioning to vegan food and trying new places...this has by far been the most delicious and impressive vegan cafe I've visited. A wonderful selection of food and very warm service..you can tell they truly make their food with love. I tried the "vegan cheesteak" (basically black beans with mushrooms onions and peppers..with vegan cheese.) AMAZING!!!! Absolutely delicious. My only issue is...I don't live closer! I was just visiting Pottstown for the day. But I may make the trip from Philly every one in awhile just to come here. I definitely recommend this place, 2 thumbs up!!

Aroma Mediterranean has been on my list for awhile. My husband and I decided to do a date night and finally got to experience this place. We unfortunately had a bad experience. We waited to get seated for awhile, but after we finally got seated, the food took 40+ min to come out. It was a mess. Everyone was waiting on their food. I only give three stars because the waiter told us it's not normal for this long of a wait. The food was pretty tasty though. I enjoy the hummus and chicken shawarma. If we ever come back again, I will make sure I update my review.

This Mediterranean place is excellent! Lots of choices on the menu, fast service, & the food is delicious & authentic tasting. The inside is set up like a chipotle where you can go down the line & customize your food with your choice of fixings & they have quite the variety. Very busy place at lunchtime & the parking isn't the most convenient, but other then that a must try.

I'm not that well versed in Middle Eastern cuisine but I have had The Halal Guys before so I kind of had an idea of what I would be getting at Bisho's. My co worker happens to love Chicken Shawarma so she ordered this from Bisho's and shared some with me. It was very good and the portion was huge. I placed an order of my own a few days later.I went with the Beef/Lamb Rice Bowl and got the recommended toppings except onions. These toppings included tomato, cucumber, lettuce and some kind of pickled vegetable I could not identify. All of this was topped with a Tahini sauce and I think it was this sauce that ruined the dish for me. I should have done some homework or asked for the sauce on the side. I guess I thought because it was white it would be akin to the Halal Guys famous white sauce but it was not that at all. It tasted sour to me and unappealing. Because they give a generous portion I shared the rest with my mom. I also don't think I like lamb and beef mixed together either. I would definitely try them again but I would stick with the chicken and whatever sauce comes with that.I also got the babagnooj and understood that it was eggplant which I like baked in the oven so I thought this would not be bad. It wasn't bad but I was not prepared for the amount of garlic. So much so that I could not eat any more of it for my lunch because I feared having to speak to customers with that on my breath. This was the type of garlic saturation that gets in your pores.

Different cheesesteak #1094 in the last five years. I was watching my video and remembering how much I loved this cheesesteak. Then I saw my receipt, $15.95. 9' inch cheesesteak. Now if I was with someone that really wanted to have dinner in Media, this would be my place. It is BYOB so I could save a few bucks there. As far as a cheesesteak, it was very good. It was very well made. All the pieces worked well together. Something gave it a flavor boost. Guest eater Spunky D thought it was the fried onions.

"Simply put, everything I tried here was excellent. The chicken kabob, fried cauliflower, hummus, chicken wings, and falafel are all excellent. Sometimes a review is just that simple."
"Food was excellent Pepsi is a plus Service amazing and friendly Ambiance was okay. Table had a serious wobble."
"What a time warp this place is. Classic Greek-run diner with decor to whip you right into 1980.Pastels, linoleum, and those ever-so oddly placed statues.Give this place another 5 years and maybe just a table top reno and this place will be the next retro hub coming totally full circle.[please get those table top music machines that you can flip through pages of songs and play for a quarter!! Lean all the way into it!!!Extensive menu- of course. But went with a Turkey and cranberry sandwich (comes with chips)Slippery dumpling order with chickenAnd a chocolate milkshake (hold the whipped)Service was pleasant and attentive. Food came out quickly. And for a $24 dinner, I really can't say much.Plenty of parking. Big ol neon sign outside so you can't miss it. For an off the beat, local diner in sort of the middle of nowhere, did the job.Over heard a few other customers talking about having ate there earlier for breakfast now coming back the same day for dinner so I'm sure the locals love it. Seems the kind of place where they get a lot of regulars."
"Had an amazing dinner last night at Dua! Great addition to the Main Line restaurant scene. We had the Kafte, Mafalde, and the Paella which was a perfect amount of food for 2 people. Hard to pick a favorite as everything was so so delicious. Service was also excellent. Grab a great bottle of wine and get yourself ready for an amazing dinner!"
"Enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Mirna's Cafe recently.Despite the lunch crowd, we were seated immediately.Took a gander at their menu, and couldn't resist the large pasta section. Ordered the Penne Rustica ($9; they accept credit cards), a tasty bed of penne with artichokes (quite a few), garlic, bits of anchovy, tomatoes, black olives, and spices. The sauce they used was sweet, and the olives too. Took no prisoners. Finished the whole thing.Service was good: waiters kept our waters full, took our orders right away, cleared the table without issue, and brought out the check when needed.Glad Mirna's is around. Check them out!"
"The gyros here are top notch. It's everything you'd want from a gyro food cart and more. You can get a fresh and decadent salad instead of fries for a few extra bucks. I know the gyros look really skinny in the foil but they are camera shy. They are actually massive once you get them out of their shiny shell. They are growers (not showers)Food is made to order so I always call ahead, this way my food is waiting for me upon arrival. Nothing beats a well timed dinner pick upPlenty of parking too if are driving in from the burbs"
"I really like the food at Cava. It's a rare place where you can get a truly tasty, balanced, "healthy," meal quickly and affordably.I placed a mobile order at this location for three bowls. They were all ready right on time. I could park in the dedicated portion of the parking lot right outside. The employees got me my food right away with no hassle. It was an all around positive experience."
"Zara is in the mall food court. The food takes a few minutes to come out because they cook it fresh on the spot for you! It's worth the wait. The food has savory spice, not excessive heat spice. Wings are well cooked, crispy and meaty. Not too exciting for me. I was hoping for more flavor or a sauce or a dry rub... something to boost them up. However, the bbq lamb was SO GOOD! A little drippy from the sauces but well worth it. Holy cow (it is halal after all)! My bro-in-law said the chicken salad was dynamite. The guys behind the counter may have a flat affect, but they definitely care about that they are serving you! I would gladly return for more!"
"Excellent service and food! This place is super cozy and inviting. The meat was cooked perfectly and not dry. The serving size was also excellent. The cheese rolls were crisp, and a really yummy app. The salad was a nice balance for all the meat we ate. definitely give them a try!"
"I stopped by this place after watching it to be featured on 6 ABC. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The food is served cafeteria style, you can pick an entree that comes with 2 sides and a choice of rice or injera ( it has the texture of a crepe in grayish color). I had 2 drumsticks with green beans and cabbage. All of them are tasty. There are 2 sizes of baklava, the big one has cheese fillings. I prefer the small ones because they have nuts fillings. They also have some pastries with several filling options: beef, chicken, vegetarian. I bought chicken one and it is flavorful with a hint of spiciness. You can also get hummus (regular or spicy) and baba ganoush.Don't forget to check out the grocery section and grab delicious Milk Jawn ice cream.I definitely interested in trying the other menu items"
"K'Far has always been a go to of mine when introducing friends to places in Philly. K'Far is a very approachable cafe serving up Israeli bites and pastries. Having been founded by Michael Solomonov, you know what to expect, in your face flavors but done in an elegant fashion. The cafe itself is quite appealing with designs inspired by the Middle East. The venue has a sense of brightness and feels very refreshing. The outdoor patio is also a great addition, especially it being right in center city, near Rittenhouse. When you walk in, I have always been greeted by a welcoming staff. Do expect to wait 10-20 minutes for a table, especially during peak hours. While you wait, I suggest you take a look at their pastries on the side to get an idea of what to order. For the food, I really liked the potato in the top section of the menu. For pastries, you really can't go wrong with any of them. They all are on the sweeter side so be sure to pace yourself. I liked the Pistachio Sticky Bun. I also recommend grabbing a bagel and a toast. It's a nice way to balance out the heavy flavors and sweetness. Again, can't go wrong with any of these. I always gravitate towards avocado. I've actually never tried their bowls so unfortunately no comment on these. This is a date spot for me, if you can grab a seat and not the high table. It gets a bit crowded and loud at the high table. I would recommend grabbing one item from each section to share and enjoy the vibes!"
"A recommendation from a sweet lady at the Keswick Theater. We got seated immediately. Our sever was attentive. ()We ordered Beet salad, lemon chicken soup, and dolma. If I had my ukelele I would definitely strum a Love Song about The Beet salad being so amazing. Very special very flavorful fresh and delicious. The dolma was served hot. It was so very delightful. Perfect shape. Delicious taste! The chicken soup had perfect amount of lemon. I've never had this before and I was so happy to try it. I loved it.Delightful Greek decor . The tiles are quite charming. The owner came by and let us know that his wife makes the desserts . Of course. I'm so delighted to try some thing she created specifically. We ordered baklava."
"The discovery of this amazing eatery came down to pure luck, location, and other reviews but I will be back because the entire lunch experience was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!First, don't come with a group of friends because there is no room for groups but if you are meeting a friend for lunch or doing lunch alone you can't go wrong!!SUPERB SERVICE ... the two gentlemen who were behind the counter were helpful and so friendly! I loved being able to carry on a conversation throughout the meal and their concern with whether or not we enjoyed lunch.Actually, I should point out that the meal I purchased at Ny Gyro & Grill was both my lunch and dinner because the portion of their delicious food was enough to serve as both meals.I went with the recommendation, which was perfectly prepared and had a great flavor but when offered their homemade hot sauce I definitely added it! Another plus for some their meat is halal!"
"Really solid spot for Mediterranean food. Went with the small platters for dinner. They were a great size. Plenty for an adult for dinner. Hummus was a little thin, but tasted great. I wish it came with thicker pita and more of it. Lots of meat on top, not just a giant bowl of rice. Only let down is the beef and lamb are the preformed stuff you usually see on a gyro, not the freshly made kind. Prices were great and the order was ready when we got there (ordered online). We will definitely be back to try more of the menu."
"Although the reviews are good, I thought I'd be underwhelmed. I was wrong. It was delicious and packed full of ingredients, especially protein. Although both were good, I think I favor the yeeroh meat over the suvlaki meat due to size and eatability. The pink and yellow side sauces are a waste. In my opinion, you can mix your own mayo and ketchup or mustard. Save room for dessert. These were the real highlight and 6 stars all day long. We tried the marmalade-ish orange cake and the crispy pastry with vanilla custard....amazing."
"Came here for lunch with some friends, and we all really enjoyed it! I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the waffles were well done as well! The service was quick and the restaurant itself was very nice inside and was very modern. Overall had a great experience! I would definitely come back!"
"I couldn't find this on the menu and it could be a creation of leftovers that work well enough together. In this case, meatball links with seasoned potatoes and buttered rice. The bread had a nice texture to it and the rice mixture was like a "Greek spaghetti". I liked this item, but I didn't feel like it was something I'd initially pick because unless it seemed super decorative with all kinds of pizazz ingredients with pictures reaming my psyche in, as I'd want to try something else in a Greek style at a Greek place probably since I'm so used to the traditional Italian style.I feel like if I paid regular price for this, I would have given this place 4 stars instead but since it was through TooGoodToGo, it was a great value. Staff is friendly here and restaurant is very casual. The entrance looks slightly divey for the area and reminds me of take out at Souvlaki in South Philly too. Does Zorba take cash only for take out as well?Looks like the calamari here is a hit."
"This pace is a great for a large family gathering. I was here recently for my uncle's birthday and we had a lovely time. The food was brought out family style.Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. We tried a number of dishes, appetizers, salads, different type of kabobs as well as fish, which was a whole grilled branzino. Our only issue was with the desserts, they were still half frozen on the inside. Our group made reservations the same day, approximately 4 hours prior to the dinner, so I feel like they should have been a little more prepared. I have also done takeout here and it was absolutely excellent! Would highly recommend this place for dinner / takeout."
"Visited this hidden gem in Fairmount on a whim for Saturday brunch. The place is very cute and quaint with Moroccan decor adorning the walls. The brunch menu features some American classics but with a Mediterranean flare. The food was great and the woman who was the server for the entire dining room was fantastic. I'm not a big turkey bacon person, but it was cooked very well and didn't have the typical rubbery texture I've had elsewhere. Oh and did I mention it's BYOB?! Can't wait to come again to try the dinner menu! Just keep in mind they're cash only, but there is an ATM outside."
"Tried it for first time. Overall very good. This is basically set up like Chipotle but for Greek food. You pick out if you want pita or a bowl. Pick you protein of gyro or chicken. We both got gyro which was excellent. The toppings were very good and they didn't skimp. The Greek salad topping was a little strong on the vinegar but next time I will just order the tomato, onion and cucumber separately. We also got two pieces of spanakopita which we weren't thrilled with the filling. No feta seen or tasted. Kayanna helped us and was wonderful and patient. She explained everything which was helpful especially since this was our first time. She is definitely an asset to this business."
"Had dinner at Olea with my YELP friend, Anna last Thursday and had a great time! Our server was incredibly nice and made us feel so welcomed from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. We really felt as if we were treated like family when we were at Olea. To start, Anna and I shared an order of artichokes, which consisted of 4 pieces. The artichokes were delicious. They had a creamy texture and were very tender. For 2 people, this was enough since there was also the complimentary pita bread, hummus and olives for us to share. For our mains, I really wanted to try the pork chop that everyone is raving about, but ended up going with the Bucatini since I was starving and craving carbs. Anna went with the Barramundi that came with its own sides. She considered subbing out one of the sides for Couscous, which our server was happy to accommodate. In the end, Anna decided not to get the Couscous and to just stick with the dish's default sides, which sounded very appealing too.It did not take long for our food to arrive. As our server set our entrees in front of us, he brought over an extra side of Couscous for Anna on the house, which was super sweet and thoughtful of him.We both enjoyed our dishes. The food was delicious, but on a scale of 1-5, I would rate it a 4. Hospitality, on the other hand, was a 6/5. We were too full for desserts this time, but we definitely would love to come back again to Olea soon."
"We went out to eat the other night with some folks who only eat Kosher. Judah was the closest (and only) Kosher restaurant nearby, and the reviews looked good, so we figured what the hell, let's give it a shot. We were intrigued by the menu, which is full of Israeli favorites like schnitzel, shawarma, kabobs, hummus, etc. The shawarma in particular looked awesome in the Yelp photos and I was excited to check it out. I have been on a somewhat melancholy journey in the US over the last few years in search of authentic shawarma, which I loved when I lived in the Middle East. Most places that offer shawarma actually serve a rendition of gyro meat, which is not shawarma at all. Anyway Judah came through big time! The spice profile was spot on and the succulent and slightly crispy lamb was great! My family went with kufta kabobs and reported that they were great too. Overall, everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. Even the little ones ate well!I do have to mention that this place is somewhat expensive for what it is, even considering the good food. It's basically a casual, unpretentious shawarma/falafel joint, but the entrees were close to $20 each which I felt was high. Not insanely high, but still high. In the end though, I was pleasantly surprised to find this great restaurant and despite the steep bill I really enjoyed the experience. Four stars and a solid recommendation from me."
"Cava is truly one of my favorite places to get food anywhere I can find a location. The concept is a lot like Chipotle with tons of toppings food combinations without charging a fortune for each added ingredient. If you're vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free, there are mood food options here than almost any other place out there. The flavors available are fantasticI'm a big fan of their app for ordering ahead of time. You can also really explore the menu this way without holding up a line of people behind you like one would in-person.Today's entree was a build-your-own bowl saffron rice, falafel, harissa, Persian cucumber, tomato + cucumber, fire roasted corn, pickled onion, kalamata olives, pita crisps, lemon herb tahini, and skhug. So good. It tastes amazing. There should be a CAVA in every town. Thanks for being awesome."
