"Myself and a couple of friends came by last Tuesday for dinner. This was my first visit to this establishment. My first impression when walking in, is that the space is very cute, warm and inviting. Our server was very personable, explained the menu and portion sizes well and gave us recommendations on both food and drinks when we were stuck between a few options.The airline chicken was perfectly cooked, still juicy on the inside and well seasoned. The gorgonzola mac and cheese is packed with a punch, a delicious twist to mac especially if you love that gorgonzola flavor. The only thing I would comment on, is that both dishes were a bit heavy on the salt for me - but just barely. I didn't have any cocktails or wine, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to return if I was in the area."

It's a great location to come as a small group and would recommend if you want a good ambiance."

"I dread the thought of going to Ladder 15. I'm over a packed scene of bros and hoes. I was so pleasantly surprised with my recent experience watching the final Eagles game of 2018 season there. My crew arrived prior to the game and was able to snag two high tops. Our group grew and they allowed us to drag an additional high top over, as long as we did it ourselves. Fine by me! We set up in front of a large TV.Andy was the sole server of the day. One would think it would make a person crazy. He was busy, but funny and personable; the perfect way for someone in customer service to be. With that said, it did take some time to order, and it was easier to get drinks at the bar. The bar had TVs with the game on too, so it really was no big deal.I ordered the spicy chicken wrap, without the mayo. It came out as a chicken sandwich. I was hungry and didn't want to wait for it it be corrected. Instead of the mayo, I asked for a side of guacamole. The sandwich ended up being super tasty. I had the Caesar side salad instead of fries hit the spot. It was a really fun spot to watch the game. Great energy and not the packed craziness of a Saturday night. Between the hospitality of Andy, the great game day atmosphere and the tasty food, I'm willing to overlook my preconceptions and a few little imperfections of the day."

"El Bar is a must dive bar in my book!! After a long day of shopping and mouthful of Pizza Brain. It was the perfect sunny, summer day for a patio! They have super cheap specials here... meaning beer shot of course. The tricky part is making it through the not so smooth backyard. There's cool art around and CATS!!! Yesssss... CATS! They are literally lounging and napping around the yard. They totally own the place. I felt like I was in my phone game, Neko Atsume (cat collector in Japanese). It made me happy to have a tall boy and chill with the felines. The regulars love the cats too. One guy was even telling that this one cat lovessss provolone. I also got a compliment on my favorite Verameat horror shirt from the bartender. I like it when people have such nice taste like myself!! He even had me write down the brand. I guess he likes horror films as much as I do!I will have to add that I might've been the only girl on a Friday afternoon for the first hour and a half. I guess I was distracted by furballs that I missed that piece of information. At least, this fact saved me from bathroom lines. Super fun bar to have a group of friends and chill in the back! Or just cool off from running around Fishtown! Fishtown has grown so much and there is so much to see, do, eat and buy! Our server as well as management of the restaurant checked on us throughout our dinning experience, attentive but not smothering. There was five of us, we each got appetizers...my least favorite was the crabcake, it wasn't flavorful but it did have lumps of crabmeat in it. My favorite appetizer was the sweet chili calamari and pan seared oxtail dumplings; both were delicious. We all loved our entrees, the presentation of each dish was 5 star and the food lived up to the beautiful presentation. I got a side of the crab fried rice, sooo good!!! The cajun seafood alfredo as well as the salmon dish was delicious. The ambiance and decor is classy. It is not a large restaurant but we did not feel crowded, I would recommend making reservations. Let's start with the basics - there's street parking available and two happy hour time slots Monday through Friday (4:30-6pm & 9-10pm). Aesthetically, it's a very hip vibe but romantic enough for a date night. As far as our happy hour review was concerned, the food choices were limited. I tried the FROSÉ and crispy Asian wings, both were delicious! Sadly, there were only two additional food options so we decided to order a few things off the dinner menu. We tried bruschetta, meatballs, disco fries, calamari and nachos. These items were an average of $14 each. My favorite was the meatballs, but sadly the other items missed the mark for me at the price point. Our server was friendly & attentive, which was a plus! Overall, despite the pricey bill we enjoyed the ambiance and the yummy FROSÉ is enough for me to return & try a dish off the dinner menu. I've been eyeing the braised short ribs!"

I can't see myself frequenting here but I did like the vibe. We sat at a table and ordered a sour and a cocktail (Mint Logic). The cocktail was really tasty and I enjoyed it. We also ordered the green hummus. I really liked how it tasted but be for real, one pita cut into 4 pieces is not enough for a dip dish. They charged for additional pita but isn't pita dirt cheap? Just not what I expected. I will say the pita was very fresh and tasty. Somehow how we spent $45 on two drinks and an app. I think if I come back it would be after dinner and just for the $4 high lifes. I like the vibe and the staff was great. Stll mixed feelings."

We ordered a few appetizers which were pretty delicious, but the star of the show for me was their spend on a Nashville hot open face chicken sandwich. It was by far the most delicious chicken sandwich I'd eaten in years. The combination of a thick breaded and buttery crust holding very moist chicken was just incredible. I honestly can't even remember what my side dish was or would it taste like even with pictures because that's how focused I was on the chicken sandwich lol My drink was pretty good but I really enjoyed my wife's drink the most because it had hints of elderflower and some really bitter liquor. That was a great balance. I had their take on carrot cake for dessert which was okay.. It wasn't terrible at all, but I wish the portions were a little bigger. Overall, I cannot wait to spend another Saturday or Sunday brunch at the Love."

All the food was really good! I also had the Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake suggested by the server and she was right, it was amazing. It is located across the street from South Park Mall, it cannot be seen from the road. It is in the APEX. Snooze AM eatery is on the corner as location reference. And as others have mentioned it is on the pricier side, but worth it for a memorable evening out.The only "sort of issue" we had, as a group of a certain age, was the lighting. It was very dark and hard to read the menu. We dined around 6pm all the windows were covered; they raised the blinds around 9pm when we were leaving."

Upon arrival around 6pm on a Friday, my friend and I were hoping to score bar seats to enjoy some post-work dinner and drinks. Both of us live in the neighborhood, had never been, and were way past-due for a visit. No dice on the bar seats since the Bad Brother happy hour is such a crowd favorite, but the awesome staff here squeezed us in at a table for 2 upstairs.Everything was top tier from service to food to easy going ambience. They seem to do it all - great cocktail list, strong wine selection, elevated and delicious "pub" food, and also...arcade games. I love a reliable spot that can be a catch all for any mood, vibe, or occasion, and Bad Brother does it with ease. I tried the kids burger, caesar salad, and fries and thoroughly enjoyed everything, with a special shout out to their house made caesar. Once we wrapped up our wine and meal, our server casually said "are we gonna get some doughnuts?" and we immediately (and correctly) responded "yes." If you take nothing else from this review, do NOT skip the doughnuts. Under no circumstance are you to skip the doughnuts. Oh, you're too full and don't want dessert? You're wrong. Oh, you don't typically like sweet treats? A) seek help and b) order the doughnuts anyways and thank me later. I want to go back and try the sausage roll and wings and soup and basically the entire menu. Make a reservation or try your hand at nabbing a bar stool, but I would head over right when they open. "One of the finest culinary experiences in South Philadelphia and possibily all of Philadelphia but is it worth it?I changed my mind approximately four times on choosing a restaurant to go to for a big birthday number for myself however I decided upon Laurel as this birthday was a milestone and I had never had a wine pairing dinner before this occasion which Laurel offered.First of six courses started with a magical presentation of two large oysters over gorgeous rock pebbles that had water poured into them by our server to elicit a smoke rise from the small bowl. Presentation A++. Oysters were bathed in Honey and Camomile on the left side of the oyster. This was a great way to start the experience but I feel obligated to mention when you break down the cost you just ate a $30.00 oyster LOL. Ahhh...Talk about splurging for a birthday.I enjoyed all the wine pairings except the last pairing for dessert. Only criticism I have concerning the wine pairing is I hear most venue's refill pretty quickly once you finish the glass. One of the servers refilled my glass once. Now to be fair the food is coming out very fast at this restaurant, entree after entree very quickly, so it is hard to really time to refill a patron's glass before the next entree/wine pairing, but for $115 for premium wine pairing I think that is worth a mention. You can choose the $85 wine pairing or the $115 premium wine pairing, in my opinion if you are electing to go to a restaurant of this stature opt for the premium and trust the wine sommelier that they task with this service.To summarize, romantic atmosphere creating an intimate dining experience with delicious high end food accompanied with elegant service. Only you can decide if you prefer a more traditional dining experience that is more laid back or a six course set menu prepared by some of the finest culinary masters.As always people SYOY!!!"

"Another couple and ourselves live in Bensalem and go to Center City Philly often. We usually spend our time in the Gayborhood, Old City, Rittenhouse Square, or South Street. Dont go to often to Fishtown, so we dont know a lot of places there. This past Saturday we went to Lloyds Cocktail Bar after searching VisitPhilly for a place to go in Fishtown after a show at the Arden Theater. We just hoped on the El to Girard Ave.The coctails were great, the food was great and the service excellent. In fact our group regularly drinks at home a little known cocktail made with Suntory Toki Japanese Whiskey and since they had Toki behind the bar we asked the bartender if he would make it for us if we told him how. He said yes, he made it and it was great. We'll definitely be returning."

Because people are typically away at the shore for summer weekends, it was easy for us to book a quick reservation that morning. Our waiter (think his name was Logan) was also super personable, gave good energy when interacting with us and had a good balance of attentiveness & letting us enjoy our food/time. We decided to order a few dishes to split and sample. Salmon Cake Eggs Benedict was unfortunately a let down for me - the salmon Cake seemed over cooked and tasted a bit plain/not seasoned. The Brioche French Toast with the peach bourbon cheesecake topping was amazing! That topping really added a good touch to the already well made french toast slices. And the side Biscuit and Gravy was shockingly good. We also had Rum Punch as our cocktail drink which was made very well.Overall, we had a good dining experience. There are a few other brunch items I want to try out, so definitely hope to come back again soon."

The sweet potato succotash was just okay, but could have been seasoned.I also tried their Blueberry Pie for dessert, which was more of a tart - topped with a blueberry compote and a scoop of crumb cake ice cream, this was just okay; I did enjoy the generous amount of blueberries, but the crust was very dry and crumbly.Service was very friendly; I wished extra silverware or larger spoons were offered with each of the side dishes, as we did keep requesting for extra wares.
