"Upping my review to 5 stars due to the wonderful customer service. This place is now a staple in Bryn Mawr and draws crowds daily. It still gets a bit hectic with the counter ordering system but the line moves pretty quick. No servers here, place your order and pick it up when called. I'm usually on a walk with the pup and we will order online for curbside pickup. Be sure to call them when you arrive so they know you are outside. They have plenty of tables inside and out. I usually grab one before I call for pickup and let them know where I am. It has been too crowded a few days and we would walk to the benches across the street in the post office parking lot. When dining in try to have one person secure a table while another orders. They have ice water dispensers against the wall which I always appreciate. Although most of the time I'm getting a breakfast sandwich, I've had their chicken salad and roast beef sandwich before, both of which were excellent. It's nice that they have a variety of breads to serve it on. This is a great stop for anyone waiting for the train and it gets a lot of foot traffic. On nice days there is generally a crowd with people enjoying coffee, bakery goods, breakfast, and lunch, inside and out. Pupper still recommends the bacon!"
"Finally returned and tried the famous breakfast sandwich! The sandwich was heavy, filling, delicious and made with a lot of love. The food here is honestly incredible, but what stands out the most is the customer service. This is a family owned business and everyone working here is so kind hearted and genuine.Easy street parking and 2 outdoor tables available! I heard their elk burgers and cheesesteaks are amazing so I will be back for that next time. This place never disappoints and I would highly recommend this deli!"

"I hadn't had a hoagie from Marinucci's in over 20 years until a recent Eagles tailgate (thanks to Phans of Philly) brought back some tasty memories. In the late 90's/year 2k, Marinucci's was a regular visit by myself and co-workers. Those hoagies were so packed, the guys would remove some of the lunch meat and save it to make lunch for a couple of days! I remember them being the size of a football and not being able to wrap my mouth around the roll to get a bite. Good memories and they always had great prices and the nicest people behind the counter.I stopped in the other day for a repeat and the place looks pretty much the same as I remember. You order on the left side of the deli counter, wait until your called and pay to the right side. There was an army of staff behind the counter cutting rolls, slicing meat/cheese, building the sandwiches and wrapping them tightly. It's a beautiful sight! The inside has chip racks, shelves with snacks, coolers with drinks, desserts, sides and a retail Dietz and Watson condiment rack. On this visit I went with The Nucci - Our classic Italian hoagie with prosciutto, sharp provolone and roasted peppers $11.60. I got mine on a seeded roll with lettuce, tomato and light oil/oregano. Their rolls are different than most you'll get, they have a toasted honey grain flavor with a slight sweetness to them. It's very distinct to me. Meats were capicola, peppered ham, salami, pepperoni, prosciutto and sharp provolone. The roasted red peppers sit on the bottom and were delicious. I'm really glad these guys are recognized as one of the best hoagies (some say legendary) in Philly. They were excellent back in the day and still are so they've certainly earned that title. I promise I won't wait that long to visit again! Marinucci's is a rare example of getting great service, quality AND quantity for an outstanding price."
"The food was delicious and the workers were kind. I enjoyed my breakfast here this morning (french toast, 2 eggs, sausage and bacon). Everything came out to a little over $7, and came out quickly.I would gladly return, as this is my neighborhood deli. Yum!"
"Had the London Broil Salad today for my lunch/dinner while at work today!!! The best salad I had from this area ever!! The horseradish dressing was awesome"
"I can say nothing but good thing about this little market nested right off the sorta beaten path of south street, but on the corner of bainbridge street other than it's more than a market, The owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met and the fruit is always extremely fresh! I usually walk in here to get a quick healthy snack or sandwich after the group fitness class I go to a few doors down and if I have my daughter with me, the owner always gives her a lollipop or some sort of fruit. It's really one of the cleanest mini marts I've been to in a long time. The hoagies are so affordable, too! Around $5-$6 for pretty much everything and the deli meat is super fresh of course. I haven't tried their famous Turkish Breakfast Platter, but it's on my list for sure. Nice people really do make a difference with the whole experience because sometimes I don't even really want anything to eat, but I stop in here and grab something small just to have small talk with the owner.i hope they stay around for a long time!"
"Great Italian specialty spot if your looking for imported Italian groceries and a solid sandwich. When I was a kid my mother used to take me here often for her favorite Mortadella and at the time it was one of the only places you could find Nutella. They still sell Italian playing cards and Italian cornicello to hang so you can ward off the evil eye aka malocchio. Fresh produce, dairy/cheeses, olives, Italian coffees, juices, olive oil, sweets, panettone, fresh bread, deli meats, pints of Bassett's Ice Cream etc., all sold with help from a great staff. On my last visit I asked for an Italian hoagie with proscuitto and extra sharp provolone. I believe the guy told me it also came with hot capicola, genoa salami and pepperoni. It took a little bit to get my sandwich as they were very busy at the deli counter, but it was worth the wait. My sandwich was packed with meat and on a fresh roll (which I believe came from Corropolese, but don't quote me on it). Lots of spicy bite from the hot capicola, great kick from the sharp provolone and wonderful flavor from the proscuitto. Overall, it was a solid above average premium meat Italian hoagie.I took home some Italian wafer cookies, chocolate filled Croissants and a bottle of Brioschi which kicks butt if you ever need all natural quick effervescent digestive relief. (Thankfully I don't have problem often, but when I do, I thank God this stuff exists!) Dattilo's is an older Italian market and doesn't look fancy, but to me it's still a very relevant staple to the Northeast community run by good people."
"Hmmm my 5 star review from 5+ years ago seems to have disappeared. The best hoagies in the neighborhood - better hoagies than Timmy Ds and especially wawa (only 2 other sub places in neighborhood; well I guess there's chubbies too...). They slice their deli so nice and thin. Good wings. Only downfall is they really do take 20 min to make your order. So call ahead and don't come earlier or you'll be waiting. Good hot roast beef. They don't run out of rolls like Timmy ds. (I like the seeded rolls). A bit pricey and have to spend $10 min to use card."
"Best is a great corner deli! It has sliced to order lunch meat, groceries, and candy. They also carry local products. Zayda pickles are in the refrigerator. If you grew up in Port Richmond, you know how good these pickles are! They're available in hot and sweet-hot. Honestly I've never tasted anything like them! The deli is also selling Stocks during the pandemic because Stocks has been closed. The store is a little tight but that's normal for a corner store in Philly. It's clean and well stocked. The people are super nice! I'm so glad this corner store still exists when so many have gone out of business. It's what makes Philly special!"
"Heaven! Best cheesesteak in Philly! Tried all the hype but Sorrentinos is the real deal. And real Philly soft pretzels! I'm planning on proposing to the lovely lady who made my sandwich! So good."
"Always so friendly and inviting! Have never been disappointed in quality or taste, always delicious. Great portions, enough for sharing or left overs. Easily my favorite family owned food around !"
"Cheap little brunch spot (they are only open until about 3 during the week) that serves platters, sandwiches, etc. They have a few specials going including a cheesesteak & fries for $5. Nowhere to eat inside except for a standing counter right in front of the window across from the counter. Got a hot sausage and cheese earlier in the week for $4. Good quality rolls and meats. Since there is only 2 people working, the service can be a little slow. Otherwise, everything is pretty okay. Cash only, but, there is an ATM right when you walk in."

These bagels definitely live up to the hype. The sandwiches are incredible and so are the bagels. They seem to be very busy all the time so have some patience. We were able to grab a table and dine in, but several people were left standing. Staff is incredibly friendly. Be sure to get bagels to take home.

Like my husband said today - Now that's a Philly Hoagie! We don't live here now, and I come home more often than he does. So, when he does come home, he looks forward to all the tastes of Philly. I chose Marinucci's today for the hoagies, and we were both very happy I did! He loved the Italian Hoagie and I enjoyed the Grace Marie Hoagie (Turkey and Ham). The rolls were fresh, stuffed with ingredients, and big enough to share or save some for later. I've been to this location multiple times and have always enjoyed my food. They are also great for catering - Check them out, you won't be disappointed! Staff are always friendly and helpful when I go, as well. For a small store, there are plenty of items to choose from. A real deli! And, plenty of street parking, too!

Simple. Fast. Good. It's what a diner should be. Plenty of seating space (approx 20 four person booths i believe) so if you are bringing a group of more than four, be advised that you may have to split up. The serving size of the meal was plenty, as you can see in the pictures. Eggs, Home fries, Bacon, Toast, and Coffee for $6.50. The food was hot, coffee was fresh, and the server was attentive. As others have mentioned they have Free WiFi. There is also a deli inside with a variety of meats, soups, pickles, and more. Enjoyable experience and would recommend it to others.

This place is a hidden gem. It looks like they do a lot of take-out orders. I had the brisket special that comes w/ fries and cole slaw. The rest of my party had wings, a burger, and omelette. We'll definitely be back to try out other items on their menu. They have a nice DIY coffee bar.

In addition to the delicious "staple" items they keep (chicken salad, various sandwiches, pasta salads), they also rotate other specialty items like wings, buffalo chicken quesadilla, pasta in marinara with beef, etc. It's always fun to check out what they have that day in addition to the unique items they carry like international treats and staples, good selection of ice cream flavors, chips, and sodas. Great place and a regular stopping point!!!

This is a great little store. Meats were very tasty and reasonably priced, and the perfectly bite sized pepper shooters and grilled long hots were both spot on. The only thing I didn't care for were the roasted red peppers, which were watery with an off putting bitter aftertaste. The people who work here are extremely friendly and helpful.

Today was my first experience at Rocks Italian Deli. A group at work decided to order from there for lunch, and I was the delegate to go and pick it up. I had a chicken salad sub, with lettuce, tomato, onion and spices. It was very tasty, and the portion size of the sandwich was humongous. The rest of the group ordered a variety of sandwiches and French fries. Everything was good, and the food was prepared quickly. Only downside is the appearance of the actual location. It could use some modernization.

"Omg do these ladies know how to make a good Italian, boy am I a sucker for an Italian sub. Salami, ham and capicola I believe, with peppers and provolone. Mm mm mm. And it was 5.75, perfect for a day trip to Washington, even had leftovers that I added some Dominican avocado to for a midnight snack...cause ya can't keep the Cali out of mePretty stoked on this spot, can't wait to go back.I'm guessing most of their clientele are so die hard they don't even use yelp. And may I add.. it was Some of the best service I had in Delaware."
"With all the five star you would think this deli had a Michelin star. I will say as a neighbor hood deli this place has everything you want. Friendly workers, nice menu choices, good food. They have tables for dine in however no table service. We did enjoy lunch and watching the regulars stop in and talk to the owners. I recommend you try the corned beef it was excellent."
"It's an okay mart. No sign. They sell chips, 'wiches, beer, sweets, wine. No paper in receipt machine. Cashier had dumb attitude when I ask for receipt.Rebel review: 3"
"This is a good, local Mt airy/Germantown deli that's good for a nice sandwich at lunch. I got the Reuben and it wasn't the best but it was good for what is was."
"And to think that I almost skipped this spot. I was looking for a place nearby to get lunch and found this on Yelp. I found a parking spot right out front and considered it a sign that I should give it a try. I ordered a vegetable sandwich (The Henry) and a corned beef hoagie. The Henry was the clear "winner" here, though that doesn't mean my husband didn't stop and say, "man, that was a delicious hoagie" about the corned beef hoagie several times that evening. The Henry has hearty vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, broccoli rabe) and sharp provolone. It's bursting with flavor and is incredibly satisfying. I'd say it's my favorite sandwich in the city right now.The corned beef was sliced just a bit thicker than some other places, which is a big plus in my opinion. Husband loved everything about it: seeded roll, Swiss cheese, all the fixins.I am sure we'll return to try the hot food items soon!"
"2 words are all you need to know:Strawberry. Shortcake.End of story.Has been serving up law firm cakes for years. Decades even.Yes, please!"
"I ordered the "Morrellative" special which has breaded chicken cutlet, asparagus, long hots, and provolone w balsamic mayo on a seeded roll, hot. This may be the best damn sandwich I've ever had."
"One of the pleasures of living in my neighborhood is having a great deli inside the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market called Ranck's. It has been there forever I think. And the name is Amish so it must have roots in Lancaster County which helps account for the quality of what it purveys. You can get so much here beyond just meats and sandwiches - if you eat sausages they are actually very tasty - and some of their prepared preparations will add plenty of flavor to any dinner. But they do the basics well too - like our Philly Hoagie. It's my favorite hoagie spot in Chestnut Hill and they throw in a classic bag of our Pennsylvania Utz potato chips for good measure. Ranck's in the farmer's market is a Chestnut Hill institution."
"I hadn't been to this deli in quite some time, but I wanted some beer for the game last weekend so decided to swing by for a six pack. This place is weird. It appears to be owned or run by a bunch of young guys. One guy, not sure if he was part of the crew or what, was passed out at a table. There are definitely better places to grab a sandwich or six pack in the area, and I probably won't be back."
"Such a diamond in the rough. If you're not familiar with the area, you wouldn't realize they're there. My mom have been eating their hoagies for years and now that I'm not too far from them, I gave it a try. I loooooove the hoagies there and will suggest giving them a try. In today's world it hard to find good quality food, they still serve it !"
"Great homie bagel shop! I ordered the everything bagel with cream cheese, a lox bagel on everything bagel with onions and an egg & bacon breakfast sandwich. I also ordered two strawberry banana smoothies. I like that there was a self ordering station and you pay when you order. We did exactly that about 15 min later our food was ready. The smoothies were refreshing and the cream cheese was so smooth and tasty. Loved this place (keep in mind parking is limited)"
"We had a turkey snafu and at last minute, this butcher came through. Great customer service. They spatchcocked the bird for us. The quality of the meat was delicious!! We were so pleased and we will definitely be back."
"This small delicatessen always gives the best little hoagie money can buy. The meat is always fresh and the service friendly and fast. Its small and for sure a mom and pops establishment but it gets the job done. Nothing fancy but good food. To my knowledge they only serve hoagies and sandwiches with a variety of chips and snacks. I wish they had been around when i went to middle school here."
"I had a salad from here recently and it was pretty good.As far as salads are concerned, this place does not mess around. You get exactly what you're paying for. Many places try to overcharge you with for salad and end up giving you a substandard dish. I had the blackened chicken salad with fresh mozzerella, roasted peppers over romaine. The chicken was nicely cooked and there was a substantial amount of it. The size of this salad actually works as a meal and you won't feel the need to eat something else.Inside the actual facility could use some work. It was a hot day and everything was dripping (AC, beverage cooler). It felt uncomfortable in here and I'm not sure if it's due to lack of air flow or because it's just small and really hot. I would skip here for a dining-in option, especially in the summer months.I don't think you'll be amazed by the food here but it seems like it would be consistent. It's a decent lunch spot and I'm sure I'll be back when it comes around in the rotation."
"After too many months in SW Florida, I was eager to head north. Today, we (sort of) satisfied my craving for Jewish 'soul food.''Sort of' because the meat was too dry -- an element of fat adds flavor -- it was sliced too thin, and pastrami was almost indistinguishable from corned beef. Remembering the crisp and delicious fries from NYC delis, T and I shared an order. These were a little too soft, and a little too bland. I did however enjoy the pickle bar, and of course a can of Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray.Hymie's is a mainline institution. After hearing accolades, I was happy to finally see for myself. Good, but if you're expecting Katz's, forget it! Btw, a few years ago my daughter brought home blintzes from Hymie's. They were fabulous: cheese-filled, with a fruit compote. Next on the agenda: Hymie's for breakfast."
"HOT ROAST PORK!!!Did not realize Soprano's made a hot roast pork sandwich until we heard Glen Macnow gushing about it during a Phillies' game. What? HRP closer to us than our stand-bys in Media and Collegeville? We tried going on Sunday, but they were closed. So Monday night, it was HRP from Soprano's for dinner!Hot Roast Pork with Rabe - Really good. Seeded roll, juicy meat, deliciously-seasoned rabe, and quality shap prov. I thought it was markedly better than my last trip to DiNic's, and my Philly-lifer tongue was happy. Hubs thought the roll was the wrong choice, and thought the meat could have been better. He still liked it, but he is a tough judge working downtown, close to DiNic's all the time. All in all it was a solid 4-star sandwich, which is excellent when compared to all of greater Philly, and the best we've ever had. Macnow was not lying.Conveniently located on route 3 (where Media Line Road hits it), Soprano's is a go-to for Ital-food for many people around here. They do most everything well, have an extensive menu (40 entrees), plus prepared foods. They cater too (they co-catered our wedding many years ago). Their food is always top-quality, and they passionately care about doing a good job. They have authentic Italian desserts as well, including those ice cream ball things (meaning, not just cannolis and pizzelles)."
"So my husband works at Sloane Toyota, he's been getting hoagies here since god knows when and one day he brought one home for dinner. I usually don't eat a lot of cold cuts but man this place is great! I love their Italian hoagie. When I have the cravings I would always tell my husband to pick up couple for the fam. Sometimes you think you can make it yourself just cuz it's easy but think again it never comes out the same hahaha. This is my "go to" place for the cold cut cravings! I don't know if they are open due to covid-19 but I had to post this review so everyone can check them out."
"This is the traditional local deli, "mom and pop"-style place in south Philly. But be warned, they're cash only.Whenever I'm feeling lazy or indecisive for lunch, I usually pop in here. Meat eater? Rejoice! They rock daily specials. Cheese fan? They have an extensive slice-to-order deli as well as macaroni and cheese Fridays.Check their homemade fridge for a varying hummus and side dishes selection."
"Traveling During COVID 19In NY where I'm from, we call 'em 'heroes." Apparently in Pennsylvania you ask for a hoagie or grinder. Whatever you call your sandwich, Centrella's does a stellar job.Ranging in price from $7.99 to $8.99 you can get a full sandwich on crisp Italian bread ... and what we ordered (too much to eat in one sitting) was great: genoa salami and provolone, the Deluxe Italian (pepper ham, sharp provolone, genoa salami, prosciutto) and me bringing up the rear with roast beef.Centrella's offers prepared food, salads, breakfast sandwiches, dinner specials and Italian grocery items. Walking in at an off hour there were more customers than expected, everyone wearing masks and respectfully spaced out.Centrella's thrives on its takeout business, but I noticed one table in the middle of the store for those wanting to eat in. Definitely a deli I'll come back to!"
"Fabulous cakes. Delicious and extremely artistic displays. She can make a cake any shape, flavor or color you want. Check out her web page."
"I really respect Penna's Italian Market. I got treated for lunch here and after studying the menu I chose the homemade eggplant cutlet which was served as a caprese sandwich on a seeded roll.I respect this establishment as they like to keep everything very fresh for high quality, once they run out of bread they are done making sandwiches for the day. The sandwich was ginormous, the bread mouthwatering, I had left overs for days and would absolutely recommend you try out this Italian Market if you are in the area, even more so if you are a fan of hoagies. Terrific find in the borough of Ambler. As always people SYOY!!!"
